Kyrian is a normal male, standing at a height of 6 feet and 5 inches, and weighing in at one hundred and sixty-eight pounds. The male has amethyst eyes and long, raven black hair. Although he normally acts languid, he has borderline inhuman speed and agility, and incredible stamina. He is a mysterious character, with a wildly unpredictable personality varying on person and event, though when alone he is solemn and thoughtful. He is extremely protective of his friends, and of the weak, and is extremely loyal and friendly. He has a pure personality and forgives easily, not being able to hold a grudge, and always handing out second chances. He lives freely and does whatever he wants, disregarding rules.

A katana. The black wooden sheath was placed upon his waist and displayed purple designs featuring a tiger descending the side of a waterfall. The hilt, the only visible part of the weapon, had a golden handguard and the samegawa was dyed purple. On the pommel was the japanese character for strength, chikara, lettered in gold. Inside the sheath lay a black-bladed katana with an edge sharp enough to cut through steel with a single stroke. It had been reinforced as far as it could go, making it nearly impossible to break.

Kyrian never knew his real parents. He was the stereotypical basket baby dropped off at an orphanage. Except, he was raised in no orphanage. He was raised by a man named James Tiberius Kane, another dark elemental. He was trained by this man to become a hunter, and a survivor. Kyrian was sesitive to his powers and a fast learner, and by the age of six he was giving Tiberius problems by Shuffling all over the place. Tiberius was, by nature, a cold hearted man, yet he thought of Kyrian as a son.
Over the years, Kyrian was able to further develop his powers, although a problem arose that Tiberius had feared from the beginning. Dark elementals, due to their power already having a pseudo-evil nature, were easily susceptible to using the more dangerous abilities that came with their power. Kyrian, who Tiberius had tried to raise to use only the lesser powers of darkness, seemed to be starting to lean towards the more dangerous abilities. At the age of 11, Kyrian got into a fight with a boy in his class and unconsciously used Haunting Vision, causing the other child to go mad due to what he had seen. After touching this power, Tiberius taught Kyrian how to control it, then placed a seal upon the boy's powers that was reinforced by magic from his life force. Kyrian was unable to learn abilities past the five he already knew, but he continued to strengthen these abilities through training.
At the age of seventeen, Kyrian's life changed forever. He came back home from partying with his friends, to find the lights off. Kyrian thought is strange that the lights were off, since Tiberius stayed up all night, helping Kyrian to train when his powers were at their strongest. Kyrian walked up the stairs to notice that is was completely silent, not something unusual in a dark house, except that Tiberius snored louder than anyone Kyrian knew. Kyrian opened Tiberius' door to see the image that would change his life forever. The room was splayed with blood and everything in it was completely broken. He walked over to Tiberius, who told Kyrian not to think of revenge, and that he was proud of the boy. Before dying, Tiberius told Kyrian about his father and handed him two items: A picture of Kyrian's father, and a golden pocket watch that was owned by his father.
Kyrian left the house after taking Tiberius' katana from its spot above the fireplace and left the house in flames, knowing that he no longer had a home. He quickly hunted down Tiberius' killer and dispatched of him. After five years of moving from city to city, trying to lead a peaceful life, Kyrian stumbled upon a clue to his father. In New Orleans, there was a man who was a disciple of his father, and he told Kyrian that his father was last seen in Japan. This began Kyrian's journey to find his father and finally have all his questions answered.

Kyrian has a split personality that was born due to the seal. This personality is known as Janus and, although he holds the same principles as Koshaku, he does not disapprove of murder and will do anything to reach whatever Kyrian strongly desires. When Janus takes over, Kyrian's eyes turn scarlet.
