Introduction to Stats
Stats are purchasable to any and all species. The five stats are known as Agility, Endurance, Intelligence, Speed and Strength. Members gain points in which they can spend to increase a stat, but must remain within a certain limit. The smallest number is their beginning stats, which are free, while the second number is the maximum amount you can spend of your Stat Points in that area. Stats may seem complicated at first, but are quite simple in practice. Always feel free to ask for help if need be!
For example:
Angels have a Strength of 5 – 30. This means that the Angel will start out with level 5 Strength, without requiring a purchase. However, they may put up to 26 Stat Points into Strength to reach up to level 30 Strength.
Stat Points (SP) are born earnable and purchasable. However, there is a limit to how many SPs a member may earn, which is based on race ages and other factors. Races fall under Normal, Elder, Mystic Human, Draconian Human, and Human categories, which affect the limit. Note that the following numbers include the earned and purchasable SPs.
Normals may earn up to 75 Stat Points.
Elders may earn up to 80 Stat Points.
Draconian Humans may earn up to 75 Stat Points, not including the starting bonus.
Mystic Humans may earn up to 90 Stat Points, not including the starting bonus.
Humans may earn up to 105 Stat Points, not including the starting bonus.
Both Supernatural Humans and Humans gain a starting bonus to spend how they so choose. The specific amount may be found below under the appropriate race. The starting bonus is given in Stat Points, to be claimed upon character creation.
Earned Stat Points
For every ten posts a member makes, they gain 1 Stat point to place where they wish, without any charges. They can gain up to 50 Stat Points through this method (equaling to 500 posts). To cash in your earned SPs, go here.
Draconians can earn 100 SPs through this method- 50 for the human and 50 for the dragon.
Purchasable Stat Points
For purchasable Stat Points, the amount that may be bought depends on the category’s Stat Point limit. The price however remains the same, at 10 Power per 1 Stat Point for Supernaturals. The price is 5 Power per 1 Stat point for humans, hunters, changelings, mystics, and draconian humans. To purchase SPs, go here.
Normals may purchase up to 25 Stat Points.
Elders may purchase up to 30 Stat Points.
Draconian Humans may purchase up to 25 Stat Points.
Mystic Humans may purchase up to 40 Stat Points.
Humans may purchase up to 55 Stat Points.
How Stat Points affect RP
Agility- Agility is hard to measure. It does have an impact on your roleplaying, as it can determine things like how flexible you are, and how good your dexterity is. We are very lax about agility, just note that you can purchase contortionist at 20 agility, and only need 10 agility to be a master swordsman or marksman (dexterity).
Endurance- Endurance is also hard to measure, and again, we are very flexible, as long as you keep it realistic. Endurance will affect how long you can do something- be it lifting weights, flying, or even casting an ability. 0-5, you tire quicker then average. 5-10 would be average. 15+ would be above average.
Intelligence- Intelligence actually has very little to do with your actual RPing, as a character can only be as smart as you are, and is used more for the purchasing of stat-based abilities, as well as the ability to break through certain spells easier. 20+ is considered genius levels.
Speed- Speed is measurable. How long you can run is determined by your endurance, and speed is simply how fast you are. This includes reflexes. So you may be super agile, but not very quick to react, if you have high agility and low speed. Pretty much, each point adds an extra mile per hour to your speed. So 1 point means you can only go about 1mph, while 30 means you are faster then Usain Bolt. Anything under 1mph is fine for someone with 0 speed.
Strength- Again, strength is measurable. It affects how much you can lift. We use a *40 increment. So, 6 strength points would allow one to lift a maximum of 240 pounds (6x40). If your endurance is low, you’ll barely be able to hold it up long. Although 0*40 is 0, we will allow under 40 pounds to be lifted.
