Red looked over at him and gave him a shrug. To be honest she had never known that such a type of creature ever existed, but she was not only glad to find out about it, but to be part of it. Surely it was a culture that she could truly enjoy being part of. The very thought of being a part of something she had always loved, it almost seemed too good to be true. "Well I was never made aware that such a species existed to be fare." she started, before looking up toward the morning sun. "And meeting Ancaladar was sort of an accident... as I mentioned, it was only a week ago that we first met."
As he brought up the fact that the marks were irregular, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Their conversation had kept her from really focusing on the gashes, but now that he had brought it up, she was forced to take a second look at the closest marking against one of the trees. She placed her hands against it, finding the claw marks to be quite fresh. And large, too large to be any regular wildlife. "...These aren't from any normal creature..." Red started, before turning around to face Craig. "...I think we've been following another dragon."
Almost as if on cue, the three heard a sudden rustle coming from one of the nearby bushes, following another similar sound from one closer. Something was encircling them, whether or not they could actually see it.

Craig's neck hair bristled at the thought of another dragon. This could get messy very fast. Quickly searching for some sort of reassurance, he addressed Blair, "It's not going to attack us is it? Since you can talk to it, right?" He looked back at Ancaladar. "Are Dragons friendly to one another?"
Right then, he heard the sound of movement from close to his left. He'd had enough and hopped backwards a bit. There was nothing he could do to help with an angry Dragon if it happened to be in so foul a mood. He watched carefully, ready to take cover. Maybe it's finally time to invest in a good handgun, he considered.
He looked about him for something he could use as a weapon should the need arise. There were some bamboo sticks and maybe a couple of rocks, but nothing that wouldn't just piss off a Dragon. His best option was to stick around Ancaladar. Alternatively, or if Ancaladar were bested (useless as it would likely prove to be) he would run. He grumbled at his options and sidled a bit closer to the friendly Dragon, looking at him to see if he was pissed uneasily with a forced smile.

"Not always. Sometimes one can be much more territorial, and won't be afraid to attack intruders..." Red replied uneasily, trying to determine the exact source of the sound. Assuming it was a more local dragon, she figured that doing such a thing would be quite the challenge. The Chinese Dragon was more serpentine in build than their western cousin, able to lurk close against the ground to avoid being spotted by smaller prey, scales normally coloured to reflect their surroundings. It would normally be hard to spot one that was hunting you, until it was far too late. And even if spotted, they were able to weave through their surroundings with ease, quickly catching up to any fleeing prey they may hunt down.
Red knew this all too well. "I don't think we'll have much of a choice." she started, looking up to Ancaladar. His eyes were scanning their surroundings as well, his vision likely a bit better than theirs. He lowered his neck, Red quickly jumping onto her companion's back, before turning to look toward Craig. "Come on. We'll be safer up here." she promised, offering him her hand to follow her lead. If they stayed on the ground, all it would take was a simple snap of the predator's jaws to eat one of them whole. And she knew Ancaladar would be strong enough to give them a fighting chance. If all else failed, though could take off by flight, though a retreat to a more open area would be needed first.

Craig looked shocked. The woman had expertly mounted Ancaladar and beckoned for Craig to join her on top of Ancaladar. She wanted him to jump onto a Dragon's back? The thought was insane. Almost as insane as staying out here. A brief, yet powerful roar shredded from another direction; his eyes pivoted to his left before he could turn his head. Almost as crazy...
Craig sprinted towards Ancaladar as fast as he could, racing the beating of his heart. How they hell had he gotten himself into this mess? He handed his laptop bag to Red first, looking very much like the scientist in the movie that dies for his work. Knowing he would never make it in time (as he hadn't been practicing his Dragon-mounting lately), he reached a hand up to grab Blair's and then pull himself up with her weight. He was putting a lot of faith in this woman's strength, grip, and speed, but she'd earned it by his measure. After seeing the way she likely lived, Craig figured she was probably stout enough for the job.
Ancaladar, he noticed, radiated safety. The large Dragon looked wary, but not concerned. There was some sort of confident composure to his expression. Craig thought it odd that he would notice something like that and wondered if he was misperceiving it, but it appeared that way to him. Now that he was literally touching the Dragon, it seemed like the world was on your side. After all, what and who could disregard the might of a Dragon?
There was a marked silence before the plunge. Everything grew still in his ears and it seemed as if it were a still day the moment before a shriek erupted from behind them, loud and angry. Craig turned his head to look into the face of a oddly Chinese Dragon. The beast looked like their own legends, somehow very distinctive from that of a European Dragon. That is how Craig came to think to himself, They'll never be able to talk this one out, just before the battle began.
