Lira crawled out of her sleeping bag one morning and curled her feet under her on the ground, observing her surroundings. The shaded forest clearing had been a real find outside some major city. She had no idea which city it was and didn't really care. She tended to gravitate back to this spot when she could, as it was located at the foot of a mountain range with a river that wasn't so contaminated she couldn't drink from it. Lira stretched and shook her backpack out on the ground. She gathered some wood together from the surrounding area and made a small pire to balance her little camping pot on. Within a few minutes, she had boiled water to make a pasty oatmeal breakfast.
The wind fluttered by and dragged the smoke upward and away from her camp. The set of wind chimes that marked this area so she could return to it tinkled in the breeze. At their sound Lira immediately stared at the colorful glass drops hanging from sturdy cords on a tree branch above her head. She had always been transfixed by such chimes, as long as she could remember she had loved staring into those sparkling, dancing creations. Such whimsical little things. She dusted herself off and tossed her raggedy auburn hair behind her shoulders. A short distance from her little "camp" lay the wild descendants of a long ago planted garden. Tomato vines crawled across the ground under a thick rosemary bush. A spiky cannabis stalk grew in the shade a foot away. The scrubby sprouts of what Lira seemed to remember as either carrots or potatoes peeked up from the leaf-strewn ground.
Lira sat by the garden and gently stroked the leaves of the various plants, enjoying their company and the pleasant August day. She was rarely disturbed in this little clearing, although she had heard amusing rumors of a certain "witch's camp" nearby. Her camp she had realized. A funny rumor, flattering really. How would they react if someone saw a tigress roaming these North American woods? Lira smiled and hummed a Gaelic nursery rhyme to herself, thinking about people and their paths. Her senses were always unconsciously perked for some intruder into her quiet domain.
Sage raised a brow, looking at the flickering flames. As he listeined to the chatter of the small camp set up not far off, hues remained shut as he enjoyed the crisp breath that caressed his form. The male had been hearing of the "Witch's camp" it seemed interesting, the male had been backpacking through the forests for sometime now. It was enjoyable, his car remained parked dark and looming within the shadows not a mere fifteen feet away.
His right hand lifted to the brim of his black fedora, the male hummed. As his digits gripped the hat as he lifted it from his black curls, fingers ran through the males black hair pushing it back. His hair was beginning to lengthen but it was not an issue, grey hues slowly flickered about. As the male stood his right hand waving over the only thing that made up his camp side, the fire pit. The flames died almost as if a great gust of wind had raced through the area, as he turned. Hands sliding into the form fitting dark colored jeans, Frays lined and littered the fabric all along the legs revealing the white stitching.
Hues lingered away as he noticed a lone smoke pillar not a few yards off, Sage quickly moved as he moved through the vegetation. His black low-top boots crushing the grass, as he slowly moved through the forest with slight delay. His right hand catching his mothers silver cross as it bounced upon the chain smashing into his chest. As he slipped the chain into black v-neck, the cool chain rubbing against the males skin.
As he approached, Sage slowed hues flickered to the female and the surroundings. As he stopped,Sage raised a brow looking at the female. The male took a deep breath, as he stepped from the forest and approached."Excuse me, Ma'am?" hues looked the female over, as he smile crossed his features. Hues flickered to the flame, although the Elemental felt no cold his skin always rather warm. He always enjoyed a flame should it be a wildfire or even a common lamp, as he looked at the female.

Lira got quickly to her feet as soon as she noticed the male approaching her out of the shadows. While she wasn't downright hostile to strange males, she was more than a little wary. She'd simply never had much experience with the opposite sex, and kept it a priority to be cautious around them. The young man uttered a simple "excuse me."
"Yes? What is it?" Lira asked, her chin held confidently. It was an odd sort of response, just one step of polite above "what do you want" which she had found was not the best way to start any conversation she didn't want to turn into a fight. She appraised the man's appearance, blue eyes glinting suspiciously. His height, his clothes, much cleaner and well kept than her own dirty khaki capris and pale green tunic top.
The man didn't really look like a common hiker. Lira reminded herself that not everyone lived as nomadically as she did. A stray thought wondered how her hair looked at that moment and she scoffed at the frivolous thought. The fire crackled in the background, small but holding its own in the little depression of ground that contained its flames.
Sage raised a brow, as he looked to the female. Hues slowly roving over her form, she was a true forest nomad. The women's clothing seemed worn and weathered, while his own seemed rather new and fresh. As he sighed, slowly entered the camp site stopping about a few yards from the female."I'm sorry if I'm intruding." staring at the female a brow rose, she came off a bit rude with her question yet the way she stuck out her chin was rather amusing.
Sage shook his head, as he looked to the female."I was simply wondering if you knew, where I could find a campsite known as 'The Witches campsite'?" his brow remained arched above his soft grey gaze. As he remained watching the female, his hands moved to remain resting within the dark void's the male called his pocket. Hues watched the female, the male knew he was a dangerous sort although he left his trench blades back at the car. Sage was still a deadly man to meet in combat, even without his 'Gift'. The male ignored her rather rude demeanor for the moment, as he wondered if the female knew the answer his question.
The female seemed to be rather used to the solitude and secluded to see the least, Sage was rather used to his own company but didn't mind having others about. He watched the female,"May I join you?" the male allowed his right hand to slide out of his pocket, as his arm slowly waved about towards the campfire as he seemed to bend in his gesture. The male chuckled, as he watched the female and simply waited for her response before he made any actions or comments.

Lira cracked a sudden, slightly fanged grin at the male. The witch's camp. Of course. "As long as you're not looking for any honest-to-god spells you've come to the right place.". The title of her rag-tag, wind chime marked camp broke her nervous demeanor somewhat. The male might still be a threat, but he might also just be a curious traveler. He also seemed unarmed which, true, in this world meant little due to people's natural abilities, but still gave her a slight advantage. Should it come to it, the townspeople might see a little tiger mauling after all. Her stance remained tense, her lithe body and secluded lifestyle disallowing true relaxation in the presence of a stranger.
When the man asked to join her, Lira cast a glance over her shoulder at her disheveled campsite. A rumpled sleeping bag lay at the base of a tree, half the contents of her backpack strewn across its surface. The fire crackled a few feet away. "Your welcome to my clearing." she said, indicating the area with a quick flick of her wrist. She owned no part of nature, so she couldn't really keep him from the campsite anyway. Citizens of the earth and whatnot.
Sage chuckled, as he looked at the female his hands lifting as his fingers waggled at the female."Oooo." his voice rising and falling in pitch, as his face took on a fear filled gaze. The male chuckled as he shook his head,"No, simply wished to see what was all the Hubba about this camp site." The male smiled, as he bowed his head and stepped forward."Thank you." his form moving, as he looked down to a log not to far off."Hmm." hues flickered to the log, as he moved his right foot rising and slamming into the trunk.
The log seemed to be wedged between a rock and a small nook within the ground, as his right foot rose once again. The boot slamming into the trunk once again, as it shuddered and bounced rolling forward. The log tumbling down, as it seemed to race toward the fire. Sage leapt down the hill, as he moved leaping before the tumbling log as he gritted his teeth and let loose a savage kick. His bones jarred, as his toes screamed with pain within his boot.
The log had slowed, rolling into place as he grumbled and dropped down to sit upon it."All that work and pain to sit...sounds counter productive." the male chuckled, simply shaking his head as he sat down. His foot throbbing as he allowed his right leg to stretch out, hues pinned on the flame with an almost joyous stare at the crackling flames. Hues flickered to the female,"Oh, Uh. Sage, Sage Tidus." his right hand was held out to the female, as he gave her a warm and tender smile.

Lira quite nearly transformed at the sight of all that kicking and break-neck log rolling. As it was, her hands clenched and unclenched nervously. Her heartbeat slowed as the male sat down. An edgy man. "I feel that the ground might have been far more worth your while." Lira side stepped her way toward the campfire, missing the man's introduction at first. She reached past the little fire and slid her fingers into the man's. The touch itself shocked her. His skin was quite warm, and of course, she was touching another human being for once. She gingerly shook his hand, "Lira Denizen."
It irked her a little that the man found her so amusing. It made her feel small and silly, and just a bit defensive. She let go of his hand and dragged her sleeping bag a little closer to the fire, plopping down on it and curling her knees underneath her. Her hand wandered idly in her backpack, searching for something to perhaps offer her clearing visitor. It seemed like a hospitable thing to do. Although, she wondered, why she was bothering to be hospitable to this person. "So...what brings you to the mountains? Just a witch rumor?"
Sage chuckled, as she spoke and nodded his head in agreement. "You're probably right, the ground might have been a bit more comfy." a brow rose, as he watched features she seemed a bit embarrassed. Sage smiled, "A pleasure to meet you, Miss. Denizen." Sage relaxed upon the rotted and thick, long, log. The male watched her form for a moment, as his right hand lifted the fedora from atop s head to place upon his right bent kneecap. Hues looked the female over yet as she spoke again it seemed she had a question for the male.
"Ah, a witch rumor partially. The police are searching for me, and Uh, I'm simply enjoying the forest. It's a very...interesting place to say the least." as he spoke the males soft greys slowly drifted from the flames about the shadows and to the starry and open sky. He smiled, before returning his gaze to the female. As he smiled, before looking to the flames it seemed more like home as the flames crackled and radiated their heat."If I may, what brings you out to the forest?" the male starred at her, as he knew she would most likely be weary of the police searching for the male. Although the reason, was not as bad as most made it out to be.

Lira shrugged at the question. "I live out here. Well I live everywhere actually. Glad there are others who still come to enjoy the forest."
Her curiosity was admittedly piqued by his statement about the police. She had little interest in the law. Her lifestyle kept her out of the way of most precincts and her crimes were mild. By themselves anyway. Compiled she probably had plenty of trespassing, petty theft and substance crimes but what did she care. That wasn't really her world.
The hand in her backpack fingered the handful of joints plastic wrapped in the bottom of the bag "What're the police looking for you for?" She kicked her bare feet out, letting her filthy toes warm by the fireside. She noticed Sage seemed to really enjoy the little fire's glow. The wind chimes fluttered in the breeze again, distracting her thoughts momentarily as the glass caught the firelight.

His lips tugged upwards in a smile, as he simply shook his head. Chuckling, Sage lifted his head to the sky staring into the velvet like darkness of the sky. A canvas that was filled in with the silver shine of the young stars, and the great silvery, white light of the great pearl within the heavens most called the moon. Sage returned his gaze back to Lira,"Hm, to say why the cops are looking for me I have to explain a bit of what I was doing before" a deep breath flooding his lungs before rushing out from his nostrils.
"I was bored, so I threw a rave at a warehouse in the meat factory district." the male chuckled, as he shook his head the memories of the music and festivities returned to his thought. " About five in the morning, two squad cars pull up. My bouncers called me outside when they tried to get in, so I went to the front and told the cops to Uh,'Fuck off'." the male chuckled shaking his head,"They didn't like that, so I broke the one cops jaw. Blew up the squad cars, and um put the other cops in full body casts when they tried to arrest me." the male coughed shaking his head.
The male shook his head, as he looked to her."It's not so bad." the male shrugged, he had done worse for more trivial reasons. Hues slowly dragged about the forest,"I liked the forest, it's serene and very home like. Although, the world is my home it's fun to travel all this world."
