Sol had every intention of killing this pathetic peice of trash who dared to threaton him and he was going to save the angel. He quickly covered the ground between him and the other two. Sol grabbed the angel by the arm and pulled her behind him. With his other hand Sol grabbed the man by the throat. As soon as his first hand was free Sol punched the man full force in the gut. Suffice to say, internal organs were ruptured and Sol was quickly elbow deep in another person's stomache. Sol looked into the man's eyes and it was obvious that he had indeed not expected this outcome. Sol withdrew his arm from the man's stomache but he wasnt quite death. He was still alive enough to try to hold in his guts. The attempt was almost laughable. [glow=red,2,300]"Well it was nice knowing you."[/glow] Sol told the man in a cheerful voice.
That said Sol ripped his head off and kicked him into the ocean below. The whole thing lasted seconds. He felt as though the man had been a waste of his time. Sol felt the sudden urge to sit down and he did. Shortly afterwards his vision went black and when it returned he found himself in reality. Luckily the fire was still going although the sun had set. He looked over to the angel who was also just starting to wake up. Sol yawned. [glow=red,2,300]"You know, I just realized i dont know your name."[/glow] he said to her.

Chaos was still a bit disoriented so when the demon spoke to her, she didn't even have enough coherency so say anything rude back to him. Instead she mumbled a quiet, "Chaos" and blinked slowly.
Chaos felt a very, very cold breeze wash over her and she opened her eyes. White was everywhere. Snow. It wasn't snowing in Paris at this time of the year. Suddenly she bolted up and took a clearer look around. They were in a forest. Not Paris. A weak fire still burned between them, but looked like it was int he need of some more firewood. She glared at her so called 'savior'.
"You have two seconds to tell where I am and Who you are." She ground out, glaring at him with an almost murderous intent. After all, she was still an angel.
She was so angry at herself for getting into such a mess. First the two want-to-be-rapists and then the poison. And now this? Today was not her day. She also noticed that her shirt was ripped. AND her wing hurt. She wanted to slam her face in the fire. She looked at the demon again, analyzing. If he was truly an ally, they would have no problems. However, if he was an enemy, things could get out of hand.
She wouldn't be able to run with her wounded wing. He could easily dominate her with his height and stature. This much was clear enough. If he was as fast as she thought he was, that could pose a problem. His smarts? Well he didn't seem all that intelligent, but she's rather be safe than sorry. And with this demon...oh she would be very sorry indeed.

[glow=red,2,300]"Chaos is a name,"[/glow] Sol mused aloud to himself. He looked around his frozen surroundings, his vision very sharp even at night. It was just as he remembered. Cold, solitary, and completely anit-bug. Sol's kind of place. It didnt take very long for Chaos to start up with the unkind words again. She asked Sol who he was and where they were. [glow=red,2,300]"Well,"[/glow] Sol began, not quite sure how to tell her that he had flown her across the world. [glow=red,2,300]"I am Solemn Creed, though i prefer to be called Sol, and we are in northern Canada." [/glow]Sol paused for a moment to let his words sink in. Then he continued [glow=red,2,300]"Due to circumstances i care not to explain i was forced to flee Paris after saving your life but i had to take you with me. After all, i couldnt have just left your unconcious body to the various unsrupulous types that were about, not to mention the friends of those two whelps i saved you from."[/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]"Even had i left you and no one else gotten you, you would have bled to death from the poison introduced into your blood stream. And to save your life for the third time i had to likewise poison myself to fight off your hallucinations for you."[/glow] His explanation finished Sol stopped.

"Yes, it's a name..." Chaos mumbled to no one in particular.
Solemn Creed. That...was very...unique. Sol. Chaos had never heard a name like that before. The corner of her mouth quirked up at the name. She liked it. Though she could cut her tongue off with a rusty kitchen knife before saying anything remotely close to that. That was, until he revealed their location. Very quickly she felt anger bubble up.
"We're in wha- what the f- what- Northern Canada!" She sputtered out. Never in her life, had she ever expected to be this high up north. He continued for a moment. "Reasons you care not to explain? You better start explaining. Now! What the hell made you drag me as far as Northern Canada?!"
And there he went again talking about saving her life. He was walking a thin line with her. Chaos was two seconds away from throwing all her teachings away and killing him. Her, an angel, killing someone. She would automatically be stripped of her wings. Not a nice thought. Chaos had never before had someone rile her up so much, to the boiling point. It was a ludicrous thought, an angel losing its patience.
But, what did they expect. She had been almost raped, poisoned, nearly drowned almost eight times, and moved to a place right below the North Pole. And all this with the company of an arrogant demon with an interesting name, who had a thing for damsels in distress. She was ready to give up. She shivered violently and covered her arms with her hands. She let her wings close around her as much as possible with the wounded wing.
"How bad is it?" She asked the demon in a defeated tone. She refused to look at the wound.

Sol sighed. Her reaction had been predictable and he was not surprised. When she demanded why exactly they were so far north and so far... away from where they were originally
Sol shook his head [glow=red,2,300]"It is a personal matter, one of which i care not to go into too much detail with a complete stranger." [/glow]He told her firmly [glow=red,2,300]"maybe if i feel you are trustworthy i will tell you, but, right now i dont." [/glow]He waited for her responce for a little bit and when she asked him to tell her how bad it was he felt obligated to do so.
Sol walked over to her wing and removed the improvised shirt bandage. [glow=red,2,300]"The bleeding has stopped, which is good. There is alot or dried blood though." [/glow]Sol told her.
Satisfied he had seen enough, Sol threw the lower half of her shirt, which had served as a temperary bandage, into the fire that wouldnt last much longer. [glow=red,2,300]"Dont worry, its just a flesh wound. Literally a scratch. The poison was the major problem and you seem to be recovering."[/glow]
"Is this all!?"The young demon screamed to the heavens"Is this all I am!? Just some toy for them!?"He kicked the ground frustrated"Was i created to give pleasure without ever receiving any of my own?Never! Not once have i.."he sits down, too frustrated to go on.'Shhh, dont worry we can fix your problem.'something whispered inside."Who-"he stopped and began to laugh maniacally - making of a young Sol

Sol's firmness with Chaos actually surprised her and when he mentioned her being untrustworthy, she actually felt offended. She was an angel, she was obligated to be trustworthy. If she wasn't that would be like going against everything she had ever stood for. However, she could see where he was coming from. Deception had many forms and sometimes it was hard to pick them out.
"Have you ever trusted anyone before?" She asked with genuine curiosity. Sol seemed to be a person who didn't trust easily. She wondered if he had been deceived one time when he had.
Chaos was glad to here that the wound wasn't deep. She really didn't want to return....home to have it fixed. If it was just a scratch, as Sol had said, she could fix it up anywhere with medical supplies. And when she examined the rest of her wings and was satisfied, she looked back at Sol.

Sol yawned. After all, he had had a very busy day. Fighting flesh eating insects, regular insects, all insects pretty much. The only thing Sol wanted to do was take a nap, but that was impossible because apparently there was a rather annoying angel who couldnt take care of herself for more than five minutes. He began to wonder how she had managed to live long enough to make it to Paris.
Apparently she thought that somehow asking him stupid questions would accomplish something. [glow=red,2,300]"Yes, I have trusted someone before. Who hasnt?"[/glow] Sol sighed. He began to wish that he had never been cursed by Locutus. Then he wouldnt be stuck up north half of the time. She asked him another question. [glow=red,2,300]"Now you decide where you want to go and ill take you there. Unless you dont want to go home. I dont care that much."[/glow]

Chaos was at the end of her rope. His arrogant answers and cocky attitude was driving her over the edge. His lazy posture made her want to snap his spine in half. She stood up, ignoring the chill. She'd rather freeze to death than stay here with him.
"I think I'm capable of doing something on my own. You're whole state of being pisses me off! I'm surprised you can even be around yourself!" She yelled in fury and stomped off.
Chaos hated feeling dependent on people like she had been on Sol. She knew she was depending on him a lot, mostly due to the fact he saved her life. She knew she it was bad habit. Depending on people takes a lot of trust, but she had easily given it away to a demon. It made her feel like her trust was worth little, in turns making herself feel worthless. She hated feeling in cause it felt like confronting deeper issues; something she wasn't willing to do yet.
'Am I a failure as an Angel?'
Chaos viciously blocked the question out as she trudged through the snow. She needed to stop thinking about useless questions and start thinking about how to get as far away from Sol as possible. She trudged father and farther away, her footprints being covered by snow. Everything looked the same, but she could smell him still, so she wasn't far enough away. She would get home all by herself, without his help. Well, once she figured out wherever home really resided. Until them she would wade through snow.

Sol watched her between half closed eyes as she made her decision. He frowned. She was here, in the north, because of him and he couldnt bring himself to just let her walk away and freeze to death. After all, she was walking around wearing half of a shirt and had already proven that she had trouble protecting her own well being.
His path decided, Sol stood and and headed after her. After a few moments of jogging he caught up to her, not even breathing hard. [glow=red,2,300]"Look, i know how aggravating this must seem. But i highly recommend that you dont go running off in this cold."[/glow] Sol sighed. [glow=red,2,300]"I know you probably dont trust me. It can be hard to earn anothers trust and i realise that."[/glow] He said to her [glow=red,2,300]"Hell, in my lifetime ive only ever trusted one person. All im saying is, if you want to go somewhere just tell me."[/glow] He waited for her response.

Chaos heard even breathing behind her and she could smell Sol getting closer. She stopped, looking down at her snow-caked pants. Her feet were numb. Probably because she wasn't wearing shoes. Angels can't get frost-bite right? Her thoughts were interrupted as she saw legs stop next to hers. As Sol spoke, she turned her head to look at him. He talked a bit about trust. One person? Even she trusted more people then that in her lifetime. Speaking of....
"How old are you?" She asked. How long had he been alive to only trust one person.
Despite the coldness she actually smiled a small smile. Opening up was good. Baby steps mind you, but opening up none the less. And progress was essential. She laughed at the thought. It sounded like she was poisoned just to help Sol. Mental chuckle. Chaos hooked her arm in his and walked back towards the direction of the -hopefully- still burning fire. She looked up at him and gave him a 'firm' look.
"Now don't think we're best friends. My feet are numb though and I need stability. Is there anywhere more livable around here?" She asked wiggling her toes a bit to rid herself of a tingly feeling.

Sol glanced down and noticed Chaos was not wearing any shoes. He shook his head [glow=red,2,300]"You probably already know this but if you keep walking around in this snow, you will lose your toes if not your feet."[/glow] Sol told her simply.
Sol almost laughed at her question. He didnt think about his age very often. [glow=red,2,300]"Old enough,"[/glow] He replied to her question. When she mentioned her feet being numb Sol thought for a moment. [glow=red,2,300]"I saw a small cabin while i was flying. It isnt too far from here and it didnt look occupied. We could go there if you want[/glow]." Sol stood there and waited for her to interject her opinion which she seemed to think was important.
Was the best friends comment really necesary? Sol wondered I mean it did seemed pretty uncalled for and pointless. The voices didnt answer which worried Sol. Whenever he tried to speak to them they sounded like faint whisperings, if he could hear them at all. They were the only constants in his life and he was loathe to lose them. But then a spark of hope ignited within him. Maybe he was regaining his sanity, and for good this time.

Chaos made a face akin to shock. "I can't lose my toes! I need them! They are essential to my being! Quick catch me!" She said jumping up and into Sol's arms. She managed to keep a straight face as she pointed forward with a free arm. "Onward, my friend!" She accidentally cracked smile and waited to see if Sol would drop her or not.
She looked up at him when he mentioned his age. Old enough? What kind of answer was that. Chaos felt like it was the answer of someone who had many years on her. However, he looked only about a year or two older than her. She supposed he was more mature than he gave off. Unlike Chaos, whose wisdom was only the length of a solid nineteen years. Technically, she wasn't even old enough to drink, though human rules hardly applied to her. She didn't question Sol further about his question; she couldn't tell exactly how he felt on the subject though he looked a bit amused.
At the mention of a cabin, she renewed her efforts to get him to move faster. "You know if you were walking any slower, you would be walking backwards." She mentioned playfully, dropping a hint. "How in the world are you expecting my feet to survive with the pace you' re going?"
For a moment, Sol looked very lost in thought. It only lasted a moment though so she brushed it off as nothing.

Chaos' reaction actually made Sol laugh. And it was a genuine laugh, not one of his chuckles or a mocking laugh for when he wanted to get on someone's nerves. He was a little surprised when jumped into his arms and maybe a little annoyed. Sol prefered choice in his life, something that was not always available to him. The brief flash of annoyance was exactly that, brief and so much so that he himself didnt even conciously register it. He firmed his arms so as not to drop her.
[glow=red,2,300]"Hold on."[/glow] Sol advised her. His wings ripped from his back and for a moment he just held them up in all their dark glorious wingspan of 20 ft or so. With a single beat of his wings they were air born. Sol used his abilities to raise his body temperature to protect Chaos from the freezing winds and he quickly spotted the cabin he had seen earlier. His descent towards the cabin was immediate. He landed right in front of the cabin. Sol shifted Chaos a bit so that he had one hand free to open the door. He peered inside and saw simple furnishings. A couple chairs, a small box that Sol guessed was supposed to be a chest or something, a simple bed, and, most importantly, a fireplace.
[glow=red,2,300]"Is this good enough?"[/glow] Sol asked her once he'd stepped inside and closed the door.

Chaos held in a gasp as they sailed high into the sky. She tucked her wings as closely the her body as she could. She would've let them retract in between her shoulder blades, but she wanted to clean the scratch up first. The winds were brutal as the flew, and yet she wasn't cold. Sol's body temperature raised so as to keep her from biting her own tongue off from chattering teeth. She reminded herself to think about thanking him later. Mental laugh. She probably wouldn't, but as they say, it's the thought that counts.
He landed in front of a log cabin, asking her if it was good enough as he opened the door. She saw chairs, a chest, bed, and fireplace. She sighed in relief at the thought of a fireplace. Chaos slid out of Sol's arms and laughed a small laugh as her feet hit warm carpet. It was a deep reddish color and extended throughout the small cabin. It stopped a couple feet in front of the fireplace where it was replaced with black tile. This helped prevent fires along with the chain link shield thingy -she never found it important to know the name- in front of the fireplace.
"Time to show off your pyro skills. My feet are blue." Chaos said gesturing towards the fireplace with a wiggle of her numb toes.
It was generally a nice looking home. The only thing Chaos found odd was the lack of people. It was a nice well-furnished cabin. It was isolated for privacy. Someone must have lived here. Yet, no signs of anyone actually living here. No pictures, clothes, food. She found it a little odd and turned to Sol, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"Isn't this a little odd? I'm thankful and all, but houses don't appear out of no where. This cabin looks like no ones lived here in a while, yet the furniture looks like it in good use. What do you make of it?" She was genuinely confused.
Post by Solemn Creed on Feb 7, 2012 2:01:50 GMT -5
Sol shrugged his shoulders at her question. Sol thought for a bit for it seemed a most valid question. The fireplace was even already stocked with wood and the bed blanketed. [glow=red,2,300]"Could be a hunting cabin used during the seasons when game is more plentiful. Some enjoy the sport."[/glow] He suggested. [glow=red,2,300]"Although i think we should just be grateful of our good fortune." [/glow]With a snap of his fingers the fire wood in the fire place caught fire and that hypnotically pleasant sound of crackling firewood arose. It made Sol a little tired and the effects on the cabin were instantaneous.
The cabin went from cold to warm in mere seconds and Chaos sat in front of the fire to warm her cold feet. [glow=red,2,300]"Hold on, ill be back in a minute."[/glow] Sol told her as he went to fetch more firewood from the nearby woods. As soon as he opened the door though he found a pile of wood at the doorstep along with a boot that looked awefully familiar to Sol. His eyes widened quickly when he realised that it was the boot that he had lost int the dream thing. He quickly looked around and he grabbed the boot and went back inside. [glow=red,2,300]"Ummm..." [/glow]Sol began, not quite knowing what to say [glow=red,2,300]"There would appear to be a problem."[/glow] he told Chaos while holding up the missing boot as an explanation.
