[8:45 AM] A cloud hung over the little wooded area Ridley sat in, the sound of other birds and woodland animals sounding out making the calls of the wild. Ridley sat on an old tree stump her purple hair pulled back into a loose ponytail her old acoustic guitar placed on her lap. She plucked at the strings happily playing her own made up melody. She swayed her head to the music her eyes shut. A cool breeze brushes through the little clearing she was in and a smile slowly spreads across her face. She spread her lips to begin singing a peaceful song. Her fingers moved effortlessly over the worn strings, her mouth formed the words of the song with ease, and her voice rung out through the woods pure and sweet.
[9:15 AM] She walked back to her lime green crotch-rocket that sat in the shade of an old willow. She straps her leg across the seat the guitar case strapped around her chest over one shoulder. She slides the matching green helmet onto her head her purple ponytail poking out of it like a tail. She turns the key and the engine whirs to life. She looks over at the willow through the tinted visor of her helmet before she pulls off and heads back towards the main highway.
[10:50 AM] Ridley arrived at work with 10 minutes to spare, she picked up the skateboard she had been riding and set it on her lap as she sat on the curb. Cloud were forming darkly in the sky and the smell of rain began to fill the air. She bit her lip and shook her head at the ominous looking rain clouds. She hated storms like this especially when it was this hot out, usually meant a tornado watch was going to happen and she was going to have to close shop early and ride her skateboard home in the pouring rain, unless her boss Mick let her out. She pulls her hair out of the ponytail and it falls almost perfectly back into place the straight lengths of hair falling in a swoop across her face and down her back and chest. She sighs and pushes herself into a standing position before she turns and heads into Micks Eatery. It was a totally stupid name for a restaurant but it was a job and she made a good amount of money off the regulars. The smell of steak and other assorted foods filled her nostrils as she pulled the door open and her mouth couldn't help but grumble and groan. She puts her hand to her stomach and walks towards the employee room, "Hey Frank," she says as she pats a regular on the back "What ya gonna eat today love?" her voice had somewhat of a heavy Irish accent in it, but everyone loved her all the same, she was the nicest person in town and every person there knew her. "Oh just a simple stake will do me fine, Thanks for Askin' Miss Mckenna." Frank said with a smile as he set the menu in Ridley's open hand, "I already told you Frank you can call me Ridley." Frank just waved her off with a chuckle saying his normal 'I don't call women by their first name.' and Ridley laughed as she went back, "Hey Charlie! Frank wants a steak, medium rare with gravy on the side." Ridley had memorized almost every regulars order, and how they liked it. Every other worker could care less.
[1:35 PM] Ridley sat quietly in the break room munching on a plate of fries. It wasn't until Mick poked his head in and broke the silence that Ridley had noticed the sirens blaring, "Hey Ridlley, we're closing up, 'nother tornado warnin'." Mick grumbled before he walked away to begin packing up for the day. Ridley ate a few more fries before she tossed the rest into the trash and pulled the bag out.
[1:50 PM] Ridley jumped on her skateboard and pushed off with her left foot, the rain was pelting her face and matting down her hair, the wind tossed about her shirt like the clothes on a clothesline. She only had a few blocks to go, but she knew, just like every other time, those few blocks would be the worst moments of her day. She got two blocks down the street before she hit a crack in the sidewalk and got thrown off her skateboard and into the street. Lightning streaked across the sky and lit up the ground where she was, blood dripped from her forehead and she grimaced as she touched the cut. "Shit." she groaned quietly before she stood and retrieved her skateboard. She took a second to collect herself, dizzy, her vision somewhat blurry but it quickly regained focus. She stood there, holding her hand to the cut on her head swaying the slightest big still a little off balance.

The drummed steadily upon the man's umbrella as he walked down the nearly empty street. He wore a black raincoat to protect his clothes from the elements, and it also dis a good job of hiding everything but his face. He absently spun the umbrella in his hand, sending water flying out in all directions. It was pleasant enough weather for a walk, although it would be better for sleeping, yet he hadn't booked a hotel room in this town. In fact, he was on his way to find some cheap inn to spend the night at.
While continuing his lonesome, thoughtful walk down the street, a girl on a skateboard rushed past him. The most noticeable thing about her was her purple hair, the male's favorite color. He smiled a little to himself and continued walking, already back to thinking about where he would stay in this town. Just as he was wondering about the amount of cockroach infection in the inns, he heard a loud "thunk," like a book being slammed down on a table. He quickly turned to see the purple-haired female laying on the sidewalk a little bit further down, her board a few feet behind her.
Knowing that he couldn't leave her there without knowing at least how much she was damaged. No, not being able to leave her there at all, due to his helpful and caring nature, he quickly ran to help the girl. By the time he reached her, she was already standing back up on her feet, however she began to sway a little. The male quickly put his hand on her shoulder in order to help steady her as he walked around to her front so that he could examine the damage. "A cut, huh? Well, if you're bleeding then we definitely need to get it checked out, since it's a head injury. And your loss of balance is also troubling. We need to get you somewhere that you can lay down... Where do you live, your parents are probably worried about you?" Somehow, the male's slight medical training kicked in without him even thinking about it. However, the problem was whether or not the female's damage was critical.

Lightning streaked across the sky and Ridley jumped when a man put his hand on her shoulder. An immediate blush colored her cheeks and she nodded at the man "Laying down sounds like a great idea." A chuckle passes her lips as she allows her dark brown eyes to venture up to the mans face. Blood trickled into her eye and she quickly wiped it away with the back of a soaking hand. Her body was drenched, dripping from the rain that continued to pelt her face and clothes. "I live like, a block that way. And my mom probably isn't home." she said pointing the way she had been going until that god forsaken crack popped up out of no where.
Ridley didn't know if the man planned on following her or not but she scooped up the skate board and cradled it under her left arm as she walked wobbly forward forgetting her bag on the ground where she had landed. She didn't even think about it, but she thought she was doing good, staying on her feet, not falling over. She stepped off the curb and tumbled to the ground landing on her hands and knees the skateboard that had been under her arm clattered to the ground noisily. "I can't do this." she groaned to herself as she pushed herself up and leaned against a light pole. Her head was spinning and every time a rain drop pelted her cut it stung.
She looked around her noticing how dead the streets were, just her luck, an accident like this and not a single person in sight besides the one guy. What if he was a rapist or something, or a killer. She reached for her bag which had mace in it but realized it wasn't on her shoulder. A thought begins to process in her head but she shakes it out her purple ponytail flipping wetly back and forth. She bends down grabs her skateboard with a shaky hand and turns back to see if the man had her purse or had walked off, or if he was following her.

The male frowned a little at the female's words. From what he had seen so far, she might be suffering from a light concussion, and she was definitely in no shape to walk a block to her house. He would have to get her safely home and stay with her until her mother got home. This wasn't a problem for him, though it might be strange to the female. However, he had to ignore that and help her out to his full capabilities, especially since he was the only person around. Also, even if human medicine didn't work, or he couldn't find the right herbs, he still had a way to heal the female.
The male bent over to pick up the female's bag, which she must have forgotten about and then quickly turned to walk back to her. He saw her leaning against a light pole, barely able to support herself. "Why do I always get caught up in these kind of things?" He muttered to himself as he walked forward to help her. Knowing that she would never be able to make the walk by herself he picked up her skateboard and handed to her before placing his left forearm behind the female's knees and his right arm on her back, picking her up in his arms. He cradled the umbrella in his right arm pit, the covering leaning forward to where it protected the girl from the falling rain, yet left him to be soaked.
Sighing slightly, the male frowned a little. With the umbrella no longer blocking the light, his face was clearly visible. He had short, brown hair which was stuck to his face with the rain. The sigh opened his in an almost feminine manner, something which used to get him picked on until he started beating up the ones who bullied him about his looks. His long lashes held on to the raindrops streaming down his naturally tan face and did their best to keep the water out of his eyes. Thankfully, the night was dark and his eye color would not be clearly visible to the female he was carrying. However, just as he was thinking this, lightning broke through the sky and made it flash as bright as day for a second, giving a clear view of his amethyst eyes... Something which would make most people suspicious.
Speaking of suspicious, what would he seem like from randomly picking up a girl who was obviously unable to defend herself. Gods, what an idiot he was. The male quickly flashed the female in his arms a reassuring smile. "I don't know if this will make me sound more suspicious, but don't worry, I'm not a rapist or serial killer or anything. Honestly, I was trying to find an inn to stay at while I'm here. Anyway, is this the street?" The man asked the last question as he looked up at a street sign, having come a block already with the girl.

A squeal escaped Ridley's lips as the man just scooped her up off her feet as if she were light as a feather. Although most people she met said she needed to gain some weight, she looked like a twig and what not. A sigh comes from by her head and she looks to the man, he was... Pretty to say the least, but it caught her attention, this was quickly changing from a creepy stalker raping her to a knight in shining armor, the whole scene unfolding in her head. She gives a small smile and continues to look at his face, lightning flashed and she saw some beautiful amethyst eyes. They must have been contacts but lord they looked so real.
The skateboard rested in her arms, she was cradling it as if it were a baby, but it was her favorite skateboard. Ridley looked away from the man realizing that she was probably creeping him out with all the staring and gawking. A sound emits from her throat as if she were clearing it. The street came up rather quickly and she bit her tongue when he said he wasn't a rapist or serial killer. Did she really give off the vibe that she thought that. A strained look crosses her face as she holds in a sigh, her head was still spinning and the bumps from his footsteps just unsettled her a little.
Her street came up rather fast and she pointed, "My house is right there, the two story with the uh... Flamingo in the front yard." she sighed then, a 'why the hell did my mom put that there' sigh. She bites her lip, not believing what she was about to say to this man, "Well... We have some extra rooms, if you wanna crash here for tonight... I mean, it's some icky weather and what not." Her eyes look up an expecting glint in her eyes, not knowing if the man would say yes or not, but at the moment she was wanting a yes. So many guys could have walked across her tonight, and any other one would have just laughed and kept going. "I'm Ridley." she uttered shyly almost next to the mans ear as a crack of thunder rumbled the sky and ground.

The male chuckled a little. "Nice to meet you Ridley, my name is Kyrian. You like to talk. That's good, means you're still awake." He had noticed the female staring at him, but it wasn't that awkward; he would've stared at someone with amethyst eyes. He began to laugh a little more as he caught on to something she said, his voice ringing out merrily in a melodious baritone. "Flamingo."
He would qucikly cover the distance to the female's house and, not thinking, knock on the door. He then remembered that the female had said that her mother wouldn't be home, and began to wonder how he would get into the house. "Do you have your keys on you, Ridley?" The male set the female down and handed her her purse as well.

Ridley laughed along with the Flamingo thing, it was dispicable their grass needed terrible cutting, the bushes needed trimming, the whole yard was a mess and sticking up out of the tall grass was just a pink flamingo, standing up on it's one leg like it owned the place.
They got to the front door and Ridley shook her head "We don't lock it." she said as she reached out and pushed the door open. The door led to a front porch where she stripped off her shoes still a little wobbly on the knees before she slowly made her way to the second door that led to the kitchen. Her head spinning Ridley turns the kitchen door knob and throws it open almost falling through but catching herself on the fridge. She turned back to Kyrian, "Umm, Make yourself at home. I'm gonna go dry off and change." she slowly made her way down the hallway to the stairs and then slowly climbed them taking a break every few seconds.
Her head was spinning as she slipped out of her wet work clothes. She tossed the clothes aside and quickly slipped on a pair of smiley face pajama pants and a tight, hot pink, long sleeve Spongebob shirt. She sits on her bed and puts her head in her hands accidently pressing against the cut on her forehead. "Oh fuck." she groaned softly as she rose to her feet again and made her way to the stairs. They looked a lot bigger when she looked down them and she almost lost the willpower to take the first step, but finally she managed. Each stair creaked as her bare feet landed on them. Her eyes roll as she sighs realizing why she could never sneak out without her mom noticing. Ridley drops the last few steps and tumbles into the wall stopping herself with her hands. She shakes her head her still somewhat damp ponytail flopping around her face. A sigh parts her lips as she turns and walks into the kitchen looking for Kyrian

Surprised that the door was simply unlocked, he walked into the house and looked around, liking the feel of the place. He could tell that this was a home of love and happiness and he instantly relaxed a little. After spending the last few years of his life travelling around the world and staying in hotels and inns, actually being in a home felt relieving.
He was ushered to the kitchen and smiled a little, happy that Ridley was still able to move around and had her wits about her. However, as soon as she opened the kitchen door, she stumbled into the refrigerator. He moved to catch her, but seemed to be able to handle herself. After telling him to make himself at home, she left to go change. Kyrian could hear her struggling up the stairs, but he couldn't just go to help a female stranger change her clothes. He would probably come across as some kind of creep, even if he was just trying to help her.
So instead, he set about the kitchen to look for ingredients. After searching through the shelves, he found one of the things that he was looking for; peppermint tea. He would prepare the tea while waiting on the female to change upstairs. While waiting on both of these to finish, he would find some lemon and begin to slice them, placing the slices on a plate. Just as he finished pouring two cups of the tea and successfully finding a jar of chocolate chip cookies, the male heard another the sound of something banging against a wall. He quickly ran out of the kitchen and saw Ridley recovering from a fall.
"Are you okay?!" The male would say frantically, rushing up to her and grabbing her by the shoulders, checking her over for damage. Somehow, he had already started caring for this female. Well, that was a sort of weakness for him; he let others into his heart so easily. Especially the interesting ones. As he glanced over the female, his concern was written all over his face, and fear hid in his amethyst eyes.

Ridley was caught by surprise when Kyrian put his hands on her shoulders and she immediately flinched away. Realizing he was just trying to help she sighed and brushed off the fear in herself, "Yeah I'm fine... Just stumbled is all." She bit her lip and ushered him back into the kitchen where she saw tea, cut up lemons, and chocolate chip cookies. She looked at it curiously, confused as to why he did that. *make yourself at home* flashed through Ridley's brain and she chuckled quietly to herself.
"So what's all this?" she asks softly as she slides slowly in to a chair and rests her head in her hands. Her head hurt like hell, the room was spinning somewhat and she felt like utter crap. A few seconds later and her head crashes to the table and she passes out.

The male smiled a little at the female's bravado. She had something about her that helped to reassure the male, making him feel happy. He was glad to see that she didn't appear any worse than when they came into the house, in fact so looked better. However, looks could be deceiving.
As they walked into the kitchen, the female paused in front of him, most likely wondering about the tea and cookies on the table. The smile once again came to his lips, a warm feeling in his chest. He would slide into the chair opposite the female and give her a truly heartfelt smile. He gestured at the table. "The tea is peppermint; good for headaches. Lemons to add to the tea, also good for headaches. The cookies," at the point, he would pause to pop a cookie into his mouth. "... Are delicious." He would glance at the female to see her head suddenly drop and hit the table. "Oh shit!" Kyrian exclaimed as he jumped out of his seat, knocking it back, and ran over to female.
Kyrian knew that to shake her would probably be the worst thing to do if she actually had received any head damage. He once again picked the female up and moved out of the kitchen door. He carried her up the stairs carefully and began to look through the rooms until he found the one which much have obviously belonged to Ridley. Kyrian laid the female down gently upon her bed and moved a little bit of hair out of her face, smiling down at her. He then sat down at the foot of the bed, waiting to see whether or not she would wake up on her own.

[3:25 PM] Ridley awoke two hours later with a raging brain ache. She didn't sit up or move her head was a throbbing mess. Her eyes wander over to the clock that sat across the room, 3:25 it read. A sigh escapes her lips and she looks around to see Kyrian in the room. After a few seconds she realized that she was actually in her own room, having know clue how she got there but only guessing the man had carried her. A hand moves to her head and she groans as her fingers brush the bump on her forehead. All she can remember was sitting down at the table, then nothing. Her eyes wandered back to the clock 3:30. Another sigh parts her lips before the realization that her mother would be home in 20 minutes split her brain even harder. "Oh fuck. My mom's gonna be here soon." She threw her legs off the bed and went to stand but fell back on her butt landing on the soft temperpedic material. "I gota clean the kitchen and entryway... Oh my god and this fuckin' cut." she places her hand on the cut and runs her finger along the rather deep gash. "She's gonna fuckin' flip." her sailor words flew out of her mouth as if she said them all the time. "Damnit."

Kyrian laughed a little as the female fell back on her butt. "Don't worry about anything. I've already got the house all cleaned up," the male said as he reached out to touch the females shoulder. He thought about something for a second before finally nodding to himself, having made up his mind on what he was going to do.
The male looked the female in the eye after glancing at the time. "So we've got 20 minutes? Ridley, there's something I want to do, but I'll need your approval first." He would look smile at her reassuringly, not even realizing that what he said could be taken in a way completely different from how he meant it.

Ridley looked at him bewildered was he really saying what she thought he was saying. She scooted away a little, "Ummm... Kyrian." she said softly giving him a weird look, she didn't want to run, he could be talking about something completely different, or exactly what she thought he was talking about. "Please, just please tell me it's not what I'm thinking it is." she bit her tongue then, not wanting to say anymore. Her eyes wander over his face for a few moments not seeing any sensual desire at all just... She didn't know what she saw in those amethyst eyes but she started getting lost in them until she heard the sound of her moms loud chevy coming down the road. "Shit." she groaned slowly.

A confused look came over the male's face as he watched the female and re-thought over what he had said. "Oh, no! Uhh, well you see... I'm not exactly human as you see it," the male said, smiling and rubbing the back of his neck, obviously embarrassed that the female though he was talking about sex.
He suddenly jumped up as Ridley swore and he heard a loud engine rumbling into the driveway. "Fuck, we don't have any time..."
Post by Ridley McKenna on Aug 1, 2012 20:45:15 GMT -5
Ridley jumped up with him, the sudden movement giving her a head rush and she slowly sat back down the room really spinning now. "Don't worry Kyrian... You'll be fine... My mom's a sweetheart." she laughed and leaned back on her elbows looking at the ceiling. The sound of the front door opening and the the kitchen door opening was heard audibly and that became a second thing on Ridley's list of 'Why I Can't Sneak Out'. She chuckled and put her hand to her forehead, "First she goes to the fridge." the fridge door opened loudly the sound of glass bottles jingling against each other "Grabs two bears." The sound of glass getting pulled off of one of the shelves on the fridge sounded out, "She'll walk to the stairs and say." The sound of feet stopping at the bottom of the stairs and then Ridley's mom called up and she mouthed everything she says. "Baby I'm home! Ya wanna brewskie?" Ridley shook her head with a chuckle, "Nah ma, I'll be fine! Thanks for asking though." A grumble comes from the bottom of the stairs as it always had and the feet shuffled back down the hall and towards the living room, "And now she turns on Wheel Of Fortune." the sound of the crowd shouting out 'Wheel Of Fortune!' broke the silence in the house and Ridley couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculously boring her life was.
She sat up on the bed and looked over at Kyrian. "Now what's this you say about being... not Human?" she asked curiously her dark brown eyes moving over the mans features and then back to those Amethyst eyes.
