Locutus Ferox
Locutus Ferox is the God of Nature. He is the one who granted Werebeasts their power, separating them from other Humans. It is unknown where he came from or how he attained his position (as it is with all Gods and Goddesses). He can be spotted regularly comforting animals, talking to wild beasts, and enjoying his domain. He is an expert tracker, a lover of Nature, and has become, almost literally, one with Nature, bestowing blessings upon those that protect it and cursing the most dangerous of the oncoming edge of civilization and technology that is destroying his home.
Hero/Heroine of Locutus Ferox:
Those who please Locutus Ferox significantly might become a Hero/Heroine of Locutus Ferox; that is, they will be granted blessings that vary by tier. Each tier of this nature is progressively more beneficial than the last, and past blessings are retained. Those who attain the fifth tier as a Hero/Heroine of Locutus Ferox are very powerful indeed, fighting for the glory of their God with abilities that approach Godliness in and of themselves.
Keeper of the Glade - The first tier of official favor has been gained from Locutus Ferox. Keepers of the Glade have been marked with a tribal tattoo of jungle green in the design of a falcon's talon. They have the ability to move silently through the wilds and to climb objects swiftly, being blessed with the 'Keeper of the Glade' ability.
Vengeance of the Forest - The second tier of official favor has been gained from Locutus Ferox. Vengeances of the Forest have been marked with a tattoo of jungle green in the design of a panther. They have the 'Keeper of the Glade' ability, but can also transform into a beast (particular beast chosen by Locutus Ferox) quickly, silently, and painlessly.
Druidic Baron/Baroness - The third tier of official favor has been gained from Locutus Ferox. Druidic Barons/Baronesses have been marked with a tribal tattoo of jungle green in the design of a bear's paw. They have the benefits attained at the prior two tiers, but are also granted with the ability to see through any non-sentient, naturally-animated creature within a 50 mile radius, allowing them to see what is going on for a good distance in any direction.
Grand Hierophant of Nature - The fourth tier of official favor has been gained from Locutus Ferox. Grand Hierophants of Nature have been marked with a tribal tattoo of jungle green in the design of a phoenix. They have the benefits attained at the prior three tiers, and are granted with the ability to summon forth lightning from the heavens as a sign of their being favored by Locutus Ferox.
Nature's Reaper - The fifth and final tier of official favor has been gained from Locutus Ferox. Nature's Reapers have been marked with a tribal tattoo of jungle green in the design of a wolf howling at an overhanging moon. They have the benefits attained at the prior four tiers, but are also granted with the ability to call up to four wild animals to aid them in whatever it is they need aid with. Nature's Reapers are the beloved of Locutus Ferox and killing one could bring on the wrath of Locutus Ferox himself. Extreme caution should be taken if you find yourself at odds with a Nature's Reaper of Locutus Ferox.
Accursed of Locutus Ferox:
Those who anger Locutus Ferox significantly might become Accursed; that is, they will be inflicted with curses that vary by tier. Each tier of the Accursed is progressively more dangerous than the last. Those who attain the fifth tier of the Accursed generally have very short life expectancies.
Nectarized - The first tier of the Accursed has been cast by Locutus Ferox. Appropriately, those who have attained this tier will notice that a great deal of insects are suddenly swarming near them. This is because their blood has assumed an extremely enticing smell to insects, who will be drawn to that person and (likely) sting/bite the Nectarized individual.
Instinct - The second tier of the Accursed has been cast by Locutus Ferox. With this tier, the Accursed's basic primal instincts are heightened becoming more difficult, though not impossible, to control. Those of weaker minds often succumb quickly to the "call of the wild" Turning into the animals, in behavior, that they wronged. Those of stronger will often manage to overcome these desires.
Break - The third tier of the Accursed has been cast by Locutus Ferox. Being the God of Nature, Locutus Ferox isn't greatly fond of civilization or technology. Therefore, he does not want to see it being employed by mortals beyond what is necessary, believing that Nature can suffice for any mortal with the will to attempt to do so. All mechanical objects will, from this point on, break upon Accursed's touch.
Scent - The fourth tier of the Accursed has been cast by Locutus Ferox. Those who manage to anger Locutus Ferox to this extent will develop a bodily scent that will attract snakes. This will be detectable and irresistable for snakes within 1000 miles of any direction.
Nature's call - The fifth and final tier of the Accursed has been cast by Locutus Ferox. Those of the fifth tier of Locutus Ferox's anger are marked with a bright green tattoo in the form of a bull skull on their upper arm. Those who manage to anger Locutus Ferox to such an extent are wanted dead by the God who cursed them and doing so would gain one favor from Locutus Ferox. Accurseds of Locutus Ferox will suffer a forced transformation into a werecreature of the god's choosing on each full moon. The transformation into this creature is extremely painful, both physically and mentally, and once transformed the cursed will find it nearly impossible to control their actions, truly becoming a creature of the wild, forced into service of nature. Many of these cursed are often hunted by humanity as they are viewed as monsters.
Hysteria
When the prayer 'Hysteria' is communed by a follower of Locutus Ferox, the affected will believe themselves to have gangrene somewhere on their body.
