Nidhogg was a wyrm that was in Nordic mythology. It was believed to gnaw at the roots of Yggdrasill, the World Tree. While the World Tree doesn't exist, Nidhogg himself did. He was a powerful dragon that despised nature, destroying forests and consuming the fleeing wildlife. The Vikings, seeing Nidhogg as a terrible beast who needed to be stopped, went to war with the mighty dragon. The battle was fierce, and many Vikings lost their lives that day, but eventually the mighty Nidhogg was forced into deep hibernation by his wounds, threatening to one day return. In order to fight Nidhogg, a group of 5-8 must go to Sweden. One of them must be versed in Nordic, to be able to find where Nidhogg sleeps. Nidhogg will awaken when found by the group. Since Nidhogg cannot be killed by mortal means, he must be returned to his hibernating state. Besides his massive size, teeth, and claws, Nidhogg has an acid breath attack. All who took part in returning Nidhogg to his slumber gain a Fang of Nidhogg, which becomes a dagger that kills any plant it touches. The most useful member shall receive a Scale of Nidhogg. This scale becomes a shield that acts like normal dragon scales. Nidhogg's Scale also protects the user from even the strongest of poisons.
