Lira wandered out from the foliage. The bright expanse of a lake shimmered in the Canadian sunshine. Her steps were just a little unsteady as she slid down the bank, her black leggings streaked with dirt. She had just lit up about twenty minutes ago. A blazed, bored look settled over her gaze as she took the weathered canvas backpack she carried off her shoulders and tossed it up onto a rock away from the waters edge. She undressed in a hurry, tossing her clothing up onto the backpack and humming quietly to herself. She stretched in the late afternoon light and wandered into the lake's shallows, ignoring the reeds that brushed up against her skin and the lake weeds that squelched up between her toes.
Up to her waist, she bent forward and let herself fall into the clear green depths of the water. Dead leaves floated on the surface from the trees that surrounded the lake. Lira's head rose above the water and her hair spread out among the leaves, blending together in an autumnal color scheme. She kicked slowly, treading water. Her pale limbs flashed like fish under the rippling lack surface. Her foggy brain couldn't remember the last time she had bathed, she'd been wandering through Canada for a little while, but really not that long it seemed. She floated on her back, breasts just peeking above the water as she contemplated the light through the leaves. A bird flitted overhead in the intense quiet of her woodland haven.
Thinking she might have heard something, Lira popped her ears out of the water and cast a vague glance along the Lake's bank, searching for the source.
The male good sat crouching in a tree, watching one of his beloved werebeasts and smiled. As she began to strip he averted his gazed and let her bath for a bit, staring up at the sky before coughing loudly to get her attention. He dropped to the bank so she would be able to see him better, dressed in his usual sleeveless black leather vest and black military style cargo pants. He was barefoot, and had dirty blonde hair that hung to his shoulders partially concealing his face. He continued to respectful keep his eyes away from her naked for as he spoke aloud for her benefit.
"Well, good afternoon to you as well dear. Not everyday I get such a beautiful 'view' such as the one you supplied me." He chuckled, grinning even though he had not looked he figured it would make her a bit uncomfortable. He wanted to see how she reacted to embarrassment and surprises. For he had half a mind of giving her her own surprise in a bit.
He had been watching this female for a very long time. She had done nothing but protect and help his beloved nature, and very well at that. Also, she came from a family of werebeasts as well, so he was here for a true good reason. It was time she was blessed herself. Given her own werebeast form like her mother and her grandmother before her.

Lira peered at the man standing at the water's edge, trying to decide whether she was high enough to be hallucinating or if there really was someone there. He made a suggestive comment about the view she was supplying, and she smirked beneath the water. She swam a little closer, frog stroking into the mossy reeds and regarded the man cautiously from behind the plants.
"Afternoon. What brings you to this little world corner?" Lira asked, looking him up and down. She would, on occasion, encounter other nomads in her travels. Not out in the middle of nowhere like this though. His appearance and something about him definitely signified him as some kind of wanderer. There was something else too. He almost seemed to glow in her eyes. She reminded herself that the trees were also vibrating gently and not to assign too much significance to a little glow. Her nudity only briefly crossed her mind, as she was covered by the water. She wasn't concerned that he would actually see her naked, only about his possibly threatening reaction to it.
He smiled, hearing her words and looked down. He crouched and dipped his finger in to the water and it slowly turned a dark black that spread from his finger slowly across the lake and totally concealed her form. Now he could look at her face with out the fear of actually seeing her body inappropriately. He was anything if indecent and always respected people's privacy, sort of. He stood back up and smiled at her, showing his sharpened top and bottom canines and reached up, pushing his hair back behind his ears slowly and deliberately.
"What brings me here? Well, that would be your of course, Lira Denizen. I have come to see you and give you that which is rightfully yours." His smiled turned to a grin, almost mischievous in nature as he scrutinized her face to gauge her reaction to this comment. He could smell the strong sickly sweet odor of the drugs with in her system, and knew that she probably though this was all a hallucination. He wondered how she would react when she finally figured out that it was nothing of the sort.

Lira lifted her arms out of the water in surprise, it's blackened depths completely hiding her body. She stared up at the man, her mind clearing slowly. His words registered in her mind. "Give me what I deserve? What do...Who are you?" Lira asked softly. The man's glow seemed to mean more to her suddenly. His sharp-toothed grin brought on a reminder of her mother's weathered smile. She followed every movement and hung on his words.
Her heart beat slowly and deliberately in anxious anticipation. She glanced over at her bag, judging the distance between it and herself. Her knife was zipped into the front pocket. She wondered if she could reach it, should "what she deserved" be what she was thinking it might be. Something held her where she was, an anticipation that tingled in her limbs. The trees rustled wistfully in the wind and seemed to bend toward the man lovingly.
He smiled, enjoying her mild reaction to his words and both his actions and nodded. His eyes followed her own towards the bag and he chuckled softly. "If you are thinking of a weapon inside that, you need not have that sort of worry, though that is a just and in my personal opinion a good idea." He waved his hand, and silver streamed from the earth around him, slowly forming in to a seven inch silver dagger, wrought with ancient markings upon its' gleaming blade and he grinned at her. He tossed the knife in to the sand so it stuck point up between him and her and he took to large steps back.
"Here, if you want a weapon in closer proximity to yourself. You are welcome to it. However you will not need one with myself around. You have done nothing to warrant an attack. Actually this is quite the opposite. I have come to bless you, like my predecessor blessed your mother and her grandmother before her. I am Ca'guuror DelaSangre, God of Nature and successor to Locutus Ferox. I am here to give you the blessing of a werebeast, if you should like it." He stopped, his hands behind his back, his left hand gripping his right wrist with his legs shoulder length apart and watching the female smiling all the while.
Concerned that her enthusiasm for the god's gift hadn't been clear, or possibly obscured by her Gaelic slur, she repeated herself. "I would humbly accept your gift." She had always been taught the gods demanded nothing but the utmost respect. She remembered her mother's own beautiful transformations, so awe-inspiring. She had always been envious. Her slender fingers rose to lightly grip the locket around her neck.
Seeing her reaction he twitched his fingers at her bag and it flew from where it was to his hand. He hand it to her and chuckled. "Please, dress yourself. I have only the utmost respect for anybody, and I know how it is standing before people naked." He turned around, so his back was to her so that she could cloth herself. He knew she would accept his gift. What person such as she would? It would be a nature lover's dream come true to be so close to nature you could actually become part of it. He chuckled to himself and asked softly. "Are you ready? Oh, and don't kneel or anything like that. I know you are just being respectful, but I really don't need that sort of thing. Think of me as a.....best friend or something along those lines."
He would await her confirmation she was decent before turning around and smiling upon her. "There we are, much better don't you think. So, you accept my gift do you? I had a feeling you would. Your mother is such a magnificent shifter, I knew you would like very much to follow in her steps. After all, I would never force my blessing upon someobody who did not what it of course."

Lira shook herself dry behind the back of the nature god and quickly threw her clothes on over her damp body. She was about to kneel when he mentioned not kneeling, and quickly popped back up to a standing position. She clasped her hands tightly in front of her. and softly stated that she was dressed.
Upon the god's response she smiled. A genuine happy grin, rather than the somewhat sharp smirk she usually sported. She noticed he'd spoke about her mother in the present tense. It was refreshing to have some concrete evidence that her mother was still alive, wandering the world somewhere. "I'm sure she would be so happy to hear you talk about her like that. I know I am. Lira wondered momentarily if she was appropriately expressing her gratitude, but her eagerness for the gift nagged at the thought.
Chuckling he nodded in agreement. "She probably would be. I also have the utmost confidence that you will be just as if not better then she. You have learned much from her, everything you possibly could just by watching. Now it is your turn to learn from doing instead." As he spoke, he reached out and touched the female upon her forehead. His finger slowly gathered and orange glow upon it and the glow slowly transferred along the appendage across her forehead, then down her head and neck to slowly encompass her entire body. The glow lasted for several seconds, before he removed his finger and it all slowly faded away. He looked her up and down, then gently blew. His breath was hot and for some reason was exceptionally large like a hot breeze and it dried her the rest of the way instantly.
He stopped and smiled upon her, nodding with satisfaction. "Congratulations, dear Lira. You are now one with the nature you love so dearly. A might tigeress, with the ability to swim quickly and vast distances as well. I congratulate you upon joining me. I will be watching you closely. Continue to please me, and I will continue to bless you." He leaned forward and kissed her forehead gently like a big brother would. "Use you gifts wisely."

The feelings that engulfed Lira with the warm glow took over her senses. Warm and tingly with icy pricks in her extremities, she felt like she was being made over in some other image. She shut her eyes in order to drink it all in, attempting to absorb every moment of the god's blessing. It was a beautiful feeling, she felt instantly at peace. She felt a warm drying breeze rush over her body and it seemed to blow away the last remnants of the celestial's touch.
She listened closely to his praise and couldn't help her smile from growing as he described her new gift. He kissed her forehead and she shivered from the power this casual person held within the simplest touch. "I will my lord. Thank you." she said softly, and once again the statement seemed insignificant and childish in her mind. She knew though that he understood her gratitude, the words were no necessity.
Cag groaned and facepalmed. HARD. He shook his head slowly and sighed then looked at her through his fingers. He then smiled slowly and chuckled. "Alright, for starts....don't call me lord. Or god. Or any other such twaddle. I am Ca'guuror, but as my little minion," he winked at her here showing he was joking, "you can call me Cag. Almost everybody else does anyways. I hate being so...formal with my followers. Leads to a sense of detachment. My followers I love to be up close and personal with. Makes for a better relationship after all."
He paused here, thinking this over as he dropped his hand from his face and frowned slightly. "Oh my, that does sound rather awkward and wrong upon my part doesn't it? Oh well, do not taking in in any other sense then a friendly one perhaps?" Chuckling, he shook his head again and stepped back away from her. "So, what is it you think you will do with this blessing I have bestowed upon you? Anything in particular?"

Lira couldn't help but let a smirk creep across her face at the god's antics. She had never imagined such a casual and human creature could be entitled a god. He asked her about plans for her gift and she did wonder about it. She was no public figure, she simply didn't have the social graces for that sort of thing. She decided she might as well be frank. They were "friends" after all. That idea made her smirk again, white teeth just visible at the corner of her mouth.
"If it's all the same to you, I'll probably continue what I'm doing. Traveling, gardening. Harassing trailer campers on occasion. I think you'll agree it's not camping when you drag your electricity out to the forest. I've thought about helping people make peace with themselves, should I come across them in my travels. Not that I'm particularly well versed in the social graces." Lira explained, shrugging. Her whole demeanor had suddenly and finally changed, she was informal self once again. Her Irish accent added a brogue to her words, as it always did when she spoke freely and quickly.
He grinned, a very mischievous grin and nodded. "Oh, I can totally understand all that. Though I never had much patience so thus was never good at true gardening. I always end up cheating and making them grow faster." He laughed out right and slapped his leg. He straightened up and got his mischievous grin upon is face. "Oh, the fun things to do to mess with campers. You know, cut their power lines, plug up their systems. Make them see that real camping it so far superior to their fake versions of it. Trying to be closer to nature and all, while not changing a thing. So hypocritical of them."
He grinned, hoping his ideas inspired her to mischief upon the "campers". Perhaps it would drive some way never to return and pollute his beloved areas with their toxic waste, and fake lights. He chuckled, thinking of Lira wrecking havoc upon their camper sites and making a clean get away. Then he paused and thought about it. He wiggled his fingers and the dagger he had presented her earlier leap from the sand in to his fingers. It slowly reshaped and morphed in to a small silver medallion with a leaping panther upon it and he extended his hand to the female presenting it to her. "Here, take this. If you ever should need me, grip it firmly in your hand and call out to me in your mind."

Lira gripped the medallion tightly, feeling it's weight and its warmth. She promptly slipped the second gift over her head. It rested comfortably beside her locket and she felt that the two pendants were perfect against each other, resting gently on her skin. Keeping in mind her re-found informality, Lira saluted the god. "Will do. I'll try not to abuse the privilege."
Talking about the campers had got her kind of excited. There was a campsite not too far from the lake. She decided to make that her next stop. Perhaps even she could run there, with a new-found tiger's stride. She couldn't keep her fingers off the medallion, and traced the panther symbol with her fingertips. She had never imagined her afternoon would take such a pleasant turn.
