As Vrases attention was shifted from herself to Rae Korina sighed and looked around at the forest. He had said this was a sanctuary for weretiger. If the daemoness had moved in she would have made the poor beings extremely edgy and aggressive. Yet they had an advantage, for one werebeastie was on their side already. Perhaps they could get the others to help them. Rae spoke as well, and it sounded all interesting yet something was bothering Korina, deep down inside she was becoming edgy and jumpy herself.
She was looking around, noticing several smaller fauna running past them such as a rabbit and fox, and a few birds. The donkeys where about to have heart attacks where try stood, bleating and crying. They had not done this when Vrases arrived for they clearly sensed their riders acceptance of the predator. So there was something new near them. Korina swung her rifle forward, looking around slowly. She slowly extended a hand up to her ear an touched the blue tooth device. "Raphael...can I have a thermal sweep please."
The cool, Hispanic male voice responded instantly. "Korina, you know hacking in to the government satellites is illegal." Korina rolled her eyes at Raphael's logical response.
"Yes? I know. However there is something here with us and I need to know where." Silence over hear hearing device for several seconds as the weretiger and huntress behind them continued speaking. Then came the response.
"I have you, your companion and three other signatures grouped together, two of which appear equine in nature. There is a sixth signature. Behind you at you nine o'clock, fifteen feet above you." Korina turned around and raised her rifle and flipped her safety off to semi-automatic/explosive which activated the electromagnet with in the barrel that would active each bullet when fired. Whenever each bullet impacted in this mode it would explode with the force of a hand grenade. <Military science at it's best> she thought to herself.
"You in the tree," she called out tersely, "you have five seconds to show yourself before I open fire." She moved farther away from the other two, not wanting to allow a single well placed attack to take them all out at once. The she spoke lower to Vrases. "Vras...is he or of yours?"

glancing over at the humans, he lifted his head up. sniffing around, he smelled something that didnt belong here besides the humans....something evil. he had smelled it before...daemon. growling, he glanced up into the tree, feeling his eyes slit dangerously as he looked around, furiously glancing from place to place in the dark until he noticed a figure in the tree above him. bristling, he snarled; how dare one of those creatures come into their sacred forest!? growling, he thrust his hands down, summoning a massive amount of water and shot straight up at the creature, smacking into branches as he did so. he didn't really care though; the adrenaline was up, and he already felt his bones shifting. finally, after a few seconds, he came face to face with the daemon. not even stopping, he continued forward and grabbed the daemon by his shirt, and propelled them down back to the ground.
smacking down onto the ground, he found himself fully formed and over the creature, he massive Siberian tiger paw crushing down on his chest. primally, he roared in the mans face angrily; he had had enough of interlopers! he wanted nothing more than to simply rip out this mans throat...but he wanted to know where the hell kali was. snarling at him, he kept his paw on him, and waited for the humans to interrogate him before vrases ate the creature.

He was about to climb down and reveal himself, when a sudden large amount of water slammes into his chest. "Are all WereTigers this aggressive to daemons? I came here to help the WereTigers get rid of Kali, but at first mention of her name, they attack me." he said in a tone that sounded like he was sincerely being honest. He was. He had come to rid the world of one of those those who make others think of them as gods. And yet every WereTiger he encountered attacked him, whether he brought up Kali's name or not. He had come to kill her. He knew what would most likely happen next... someone would pull out a gun. Someone always seemed to pull a gun on him. The WereTiger on his chest was one of the least of his problems; he had heard word of Kali planning something big.

Rae’s gun was a simply Glock, she’d always carried a semi-automatic that she’d gotten from her father’s study, but more recently in a trip to New York, she found this weapon more comfortable to carry and use daily. She saved the big guns for big things and Rae hadn’t really expected a big thing so early on in the trip. Should she need to she could go to her donkey and to the pack there, but for now there was three of them and one of him; and one of their three was an angry testosterone fuelled were. Vrases leap into the trees seemed to answer the question that this was not one of ‘his’ that this was not a friendly sentient being who was harmless. In fact, this seemed to a daemon.
"Are all WereTigers this aggressive to daemons? I came here to help the WereTigers get rid of Kali, but at first mention of her name, they attack me."
Rae blinked at him for a moment as the tiger snarled. She unclipped the safety on her gun and passed it from her right hand to her left. Her right hand reached up and tucked a strand of pink hair behind her pierced ear. With the gun outstretched, centred on the intruder, she looked beautiful and dangerous. Though not as dangerous as the others, Rae had something unique about her; she seemed incredibly relaxed. Logically, of course, her brain was working, even as the smile on her face became full of warmth. This didn’t make sense, this was more than a coincidence and Rae tended not to believe in coincidences.
What sort of daemon would make he known to a party of people out to kill and destroy a daemon? This seemed irrational to Rae. Granted, Daemon’s had a tendency to be creatures of chaos and granted she knew them to be the sort of second-rate citizens who liked to cause misery and harm to others, but frankly she could not see any benefit to his allowing himself to be in this situation. Perhaps she was thinking too logically, perhaps she was trying to apply sense to the chaos but there seemed to be no explanation for this moments behaviour.
“Well, you are on his land.” Rae said, in response to the daemon. Her voice was calm and like her hand did not quiver. She had a beautiful British tone, soft and sweet sounding. Her voice, like most things about the five-foot nothing pink-haired teenager, was dainty and alluring.
Rae had a terrible bias towards daemons; usually she did not mind most creatures. As a hunter she had seen enough power in the world to know that not all of it was bad. But daemons, well they had never really proved her stereotypical viewpoint wrong. In fact, they had tortured her, destroyed her family and ripped apart her life. She blamed them for all the bad things that had ever happened to her. Rae…well, she liked to kill daemons, to put it politely. It made her feel good, powerful, like she was finally getting some control back on the world that they had shattered.
“Why would a dirty, filthy creature like you want to help anyone?” She asked him, because of course there would be questions. “And why would you set yourself up against your own kind? You loyal-less little turd.”
Korina already had her weapon out and pointed at the daemon. She followed his movements as he as knocked from the tree, and pinned to the ground. She followed Rae up to the daemon and kept her gun trained upon him. After Rae had asked her questions Korina supplied a few if her own. "What makes you think we are going to believe you? Your a daemon, in a daemoness' area that she is trying to steal from the were tigers. How do we know you are not a spy? Hmm?"
As she asked Korina clicked the safety of her rifle from semi-exp to semi-auto. This would deactivate the electromagnet in the barrel and not arm the grenade like bullets. Then she lowered her weapon and pressed the barrel against the head if the daemon, right between his eyes. "You seriously have only a few seconds left to give us a convincing answer or I will pull this trigger." She smiled, almost sexually down at the daemon, yet her play was punctuated by her finger tightening around the trigger, almost pulling it to the point it would send the projectile through his skull, and out the backside. She was not playing around.

snarling he, continued to keep his paw on top of the daemon, feeling his bones in his paws. he still held himself on top of the daemon, but he sniffed about; he could smell his breatheren around the group. perking his ears up, he looked around and sniffed the air; they were watching him and the humans. taking his paw off the daemon, he padded over to a large rock, where close to twelve were tigers jumped down and stood in front of him. female and male simply stared at him, waiting for him to tell them what was going on. feeling bones shift back into human form, he cracked his neck and watched them, feeling his eyes shift quickly. " the humans are here to hunt kali; theyre aiding.... however i dont think this..thing...is trying to help. were asking him now." turning back over to the three of them, he watched as the tigers silently padded around them, sniffing them. he knew what they were thinking; be wary. fortunatly for the humans, he was with them; he ranked fairly high up in the community here, and he had just returned with jonas's head, a well known were killer. watching as they padded around and sniffed, taking in their scent silently, he waited. they seemed satisfied now.
he walked over quietly and sat down on a nearby log, and watched as one of his kind came up and sat by him; Megan, he remembered. she wanted him as a mate, he knew, but he wasn't ready for that; he was young and had no need to be tied down. getting up, he walked over to rae and korina. "they approve of you. they dont like him though. suprise suprise." he said indicating towards the daemon. "apparently you pissed off one of my brothers earlier...not the best idea." he said, indicating to the tiger nakashi had met earlier.

"I hardly consider Kali a daemon. She doesn't deserve to be called that. She's planning a massacre... on a village full of us." he said truthfully, and just from listening it would be easy to tell it was true. 'Everyone wants to kill me... why.' First Siberia, then every-fucking-where else. Everyone wanted to kill him. Everyone.
He noticed the WereTigers, seeing the one that had attacked him earlier. They must all really hate daemons... he hadn't come as a spy or an assassin, or anything of the like. He hoped they believed his answer... he wasn't lying at all. His deep blackish-red eyes had a strange look on them... he was feeling an emotion he hadn't since the death of his parents. Fear.
Meanwhile, back on the topic of Kali, her group was almost big enough for what she was planning. She had to be stopped.
The daemon was glad the WereTiger was off of him... but the human might not believe him. He looked at the barrel of the gun touching his head. Guns disgusted him. Why did they feel the need to make such messy weapons? It isn't at all necessary for every kill to leave blood everywhere. It was a bit too much. And at such close range... if she pulled the trigger like she said she would... there most likely wouldn't be anything left of his head. He had overheard the WereTiger, who seemed to have a high place among the others. "And I am trying to help." he said to the one who had spoken.

Her eyes followed Vrases as he moved away; with Korina stepping in close on the daemon and levelling her gun to his brain, Rae had taken ‘cover point’, she was watching everything, her eyes darting back and forth between the daemon and the Weres that seemed to be gathering near them. She wet her lips slowly, feeling the heat of the day burning on them just a touch.
Then she spoke; “You know, I can put up with most bullshit.” She said, seemingly musing aloud. “Daily, I have to listen to bullshit and constantly I feel underestimated by the bullshitter who clearly doesn’t understand that I don’t want to hear it. So- daemon, lets start with some details shall we? So hopefully I can find a gem amongst your bullshit and my friend here- well, she might let you live..”
Her eyes went to the Were’s. “Though, I can’t speak for them.” There was something of a smile on her mouth as she said that. Her bias against daemons meant she was enjoying this moment. It made a change to have the upper hand.
“Talk about this massacre and why we should care that she’s planning to destroy your kind? It seems like a job worth doing.” Rae told him, that smirk still sat happily in place, her gun still levelled at him, just in case he somehow managed to slip passed Korina.
Her eyes went back to Vrases and she gave him a slight nod, acknowledging what he said.
Korina smiled, but it wasn't her trademark sweet smile. This was a wicked, mischievous smile that told she wasn't playing around. She would pull this trigger and laugh about it as she wiped the blood from her face and shoes. She knelt down, keeping the barrel pressed hard enough against his forehead to push his head back against the rocks. "Now, you see there is something I don't understand. Those words are the exact words a spy of Kali would say to get himself away from us to go report back."
Shifting her foot she pressed it upon his wrist trapping the limb there. With her other hand that wasn't holding the trigger or her rifle she slowly withdrew her boot knife from the sheath upon her leg. She gripped it firmly and slowly pressed it against the base of the index finger upon his trapped hand. "So you should probably give us an EXTREMELY good reason why we should just kill you right now, then let Kali destroy that village as a way for us to sneak in her temple then destroy her."
She pressed down hard on the knife, her sadistic smile growing large the harder she a pushed, hoping to cut the little thing's finger clean off. It was disgusting, a daemon using the form of something so young. It was an abomination and she had every intention of killing it even of he gave her the information.

growling, he decided he had had enough of this talking and getting nowehere. walking quickly over theman, he decided he didnt want to put up with this; all the more seconds that kali could be gettign stronger, they waited around on a potential spy. standing on top of the man, he decided that he was going to keep this quest going by the one way he knew; violently and getting his hands dirty. pulling out a kife, he stuck it into the daemos throat and ripped it from ed to end, eding the daemons life quickly and effictively. getting up, he looked over at his breatheren and nodded his head for them to feast. he walked over slowly to a nearby rock and sat dow, trasforming quickly, feelig his bones elongate as they were so used to doing already. as oe of the leaders, he had first choice on the feast. walking over, growling as other betas attempted to take his spot, he went over to the ody annd claimed his fair share of the meal.
after fiishing it up, he let the others come forward and fight over the remains. feeling his bones shift back into his human form. wipig his mouth of the gore with his hand, he grinned maliciously. "he tasted odd; ive never eaten daemon. leaves a foul taste." he said absentmindedly to the pair. wiping his hands together, he continued on, smiling rather maliciously and sat down o oe of the rocks, watchinng the humans with his breatheren. quietly one of his kind wandered over, and he quietly scratched her behind the ears, turning his gaze back to them and waiting for them to continue onward.

Well that ended that pretty quickly.
She blinked at the sight and Rae turned away a little bit. It wasn’t that she refused to understand what he was, it wasn’t that she disliked it but there were something’s a girl didn’t want to see. After witnessing her brother, the only person she really loved, ripped apart in front of her eyes, their feast was a little too much for her to take. When it was over, she tucked her gun in the holster at the back of her pants and went to settle the donkeys. These were creatures she understood, soft and docile they were afraid of the tigers. Rae understood the fear of a tiger, but perhaps her fear wasn’t of death because of them, but rather what life would be like with one of them. Still, she kept to herself as she calmed the two members of the horse family and readied them to ride onwards. She would leave Korina and Vrases to this brutality, it wasn’t something Rae enjoyed.
When it was done she mounted Kari once more, leading Maple a little; “Shall we get on with this then?” She asked, quiet. Wishing Eli was there.

((I've taken the change of screen name to 'dudedude2211' and the death in a different post to suggest that Nakashi will no longer be joining us- lets rock this ))
Korina jumped away as Vrases appeared beside her and slit his throat. She screamed at him, and knocked him over his head with he rifle. Not hard enough to really hurt him but definitely enough to get his attention. "You IDIOT! He was going to give us information! Damn it Vrases! You have got to learn to control your fucking self, you understand me! Jesus Christ!" She spun away from him and stormed back to where Rae and the equines where waiting.
She glanced at Rae and refused to look back at the disgusting feast happening to the body. She mounted the donkey, and gently touched her sides with her heels and guiding her along the path. She didn't even wait for Vrases, simply going past the feasting tigers. She lead the donkey slowly up the trailers, gripping the reigns tightly in her anger.
She slung her rifle back over her shoulder and wiped the blood off her knife upon a passing leaf then jammed it back in to the sheath on her leg. It was evident she was angry, her back rigid and jaw clenched. She was not longer talkative and didn't even look back at Rae to see if she was behind her.

turning around to face korina, he looked at her and gave her a quick glare as one of the tigers snarled at her; his brother didnt seem to like that, and his glare was something he seemed to have perfected quite well. "really? so you dont think that he wasnt going to give us false info, keep us here for longer times, and all the time they could be setting up an ambush? their first offense is being here simply; we" he said, gesturing to all of the creatures around him, "wont allow that aggression to continue. they stand as a monument to the destruction of this forest; and our tribe will not allow that to occur, even if we die in the process." he said, watching as many of the large animals of all sizes shook their heads. turning his gaze back to the two humans, he looked at korina. "do you honestly think, that just becuase we had him here, with a gun to his head, he wouldnt have lied to us and then led us into a slaughter? korina, you know their kind, as do i. they would have lied until the very end. its how they work." he said, staring right through her.
sighing, he gestured with his head for the others to follow him in the shadows. watching as they silently padded along in the shadows, he was tempted to follow them. he was one of them; he was drawn to the darkness like the humans were drawn to the light in order to feel safe. sighing, he watched the two as they jumped onto their mounts and walked alongside them near the trees and shadows. vrases wore no shoes now, he enjoyed the feeling of the earth between his toes and the feeling of freedom, not having to confine any part of him to small quarters, even his shoes. as he glanced around them, he stopped one of his sisters came to him, transforming as she did so. quickly, he bent down and listened to her whisper; she was quite short and he was taller than an average human, standing at 6'3. nodding his head, he walked over to the humans. "ashe and a few others know where they have set up; we'll lead you to their area. keep sharp and watch yourselves; we'll be right next to you." as he walked away, he could feel the adrenaline flush through him, and he smiled as his eyes shifted into the slits. feeling his bones shift, he began to pad forward as he true form, and quickly climbed up into the tree forage. he felt at home here in the forest, hiding in the shadows; he felt like he was were he belonged. padding forward between the trees, he gazed over teh two humans and gestured for them to follow them, walking through the forest in silence.

Rae let them bicker about it, pushing the donkey onwards to follow her sister and leaving that distraction behind them.
She road on through the forest that seemed to be growing thicker, the jungle around them growing heavier.
When they eventually came to the temple Rae found her-self expelling a sigh of wonder. It was a beautiful building. Made of stone, of columns and big beautiful slabs, it was part of the jungle. The trees had accepted it in, consumed it in their roots and their branches. It was a striking image, of grey and green and brown, set out in the mountain like it was carved from the very heart of the stones itself.
Rae drew her breath, reminding herself that this place was infected by the darkness of the daemon living within it. The donkeys felt it; they bristled and seemed unsettled as they drew closer to the temple. It felt like the place, it felt like a place so beautiful that had been torn apart by danger and poison. It felt like a place that was ugly because it had been splurged with the vulnerability all around.
She slid off the back of the donkey; tying the animal up around one of the nearby trees. She hushed the animal and stroked her hair softly, kissing the animal’s nose and touching back the girl’s ears. “It’s okay, precious.” She murmured, turning her eyes to the sky.
It was getting darker; perhaps that was the daemoness’ power, or the gathering Rae expected to find inside the temple. Perhaps it really was getting late; they had been travelling for what felt like all day; despite a few distractions.
Her eyes journeyed lower, looking for the familiar tiger amongst the branches.
Rae felt nervous. She wasn’t going to tell her companions this; but Daemons were Rae’s bias. They were her fear and her hatred… this was a big deal to her.

Korina rode on following Rae. She was pissed at the weretiger, and she had reason to be. Daemons where horrible yes, they took what they wanted and did whatever they wanted while killing anybody who got in their way or tried to stop them. Yet...was that not exactly what Vrases just had done? He had just killed that daemon simply because he had wanted to and because he could. So what was the difference? To her there was no difference. Vrases was just as bad as any daemon or daemoness whom he claimed was the evil one.
She sighed and looked at Rae then shook her head. The girl clearly didn't see anything wrong with what had happened. She had not even said a word about it. If this mission wasn't so important she would walk away this instant. However this mission was important for many reasons, reasons she had not and was not going to tell these people. If she did...she would end up like that daemon back in the woods.
Reaching the temple she slid of the donkey and tied her up beside her sister. Kissing her forehead she thanked the creature for the ride then stood straight and unslung her rifle. She clicked the safety from sing/ex to full/stan. Unsure of what they where going in to and the close proximity she didn't want to accidentally blow them all up or cave the temple in around them.
Looking over at Rae she leaned close and whispered. "Are you ready?" Upon Rae's confirmation she slowly made her way to the entrance and glanced inside. She swung her rifle from side to side, peering in to the darkness with in. "Looks clear so far. They must be deeper with in." She bite her lip, shivering and slowly entered through the entrance.
