The male angel sat in the abandoned stone abode along, wings half furled around his body. His torso was clad in a white t-shirt beneath a leather and metal cuirass. His legs where clothed in loose, tattered baggy pants, and his feet where clad in leather mocassin style boots that went up his legs to his calves. His long thick black hair hung around his face that hid his mesmerizing violet eyes. The abode was simple at most with only two rooms. A bed room with a single twin sized bed and a matress with no bedding upon it and a chest of draws that was sat empty in a corner. The second room held a sink, a stove and a broken fridgerator, with a toilet hidden in the corner.
The sound of stone upon metal filled the air as Cordoba sat upon the bed, slowly sliding a wet stone across the surface of one of his four foot and six inch long swords, honing the edge to to keep it in perfect shape. Stopping, he set the stone upon the bed and stood up. He spun the blade, then slashed it down through the cabinet. It cut like a knife through hot butter, stopping only when he pulled up so as not to strike the steel upon the stone floor and dull the edge. He nodded with satisfaction, and slipped the weapon back in to its sheath upon his back.
Walking out from the bedroom, he stepped in to the "main" room and walked to the sink. He turned the handle upon the faucet and it creaked as water slowly trickled out. He waited till the reddish water finally ran clear, and he cupped his hands and held them beneath the trickle. When they where filled, he lifted them to his face and drank the water and wiped his mouth upon his bicep. He strode to the door, pushing it open and stepped out in to the early morning chill and and breathed deeply. Dew still sat upon the few bushes that managed to grow upon these scraggly steepes. He looked out, turning his gaze slowly from side to side gazing upon the mountains as his enormousy six and a half foot wings stretched, their silvery white color glinting in the light from the just beginning sunrise.

The sun slowly started laying on her face, softly burning her cheek. Even though it was such a delightful way to wake up, Victoria felt this was only the nature's way to mock her for sleeping again out in the open. Her eyes persisted shut, like a stubborn child who begs to stay in bed on a school morning. Eventually she had to give up, and her blue eyes reluctantly encountered the morning light when a bit of dew fell on her nose, making her sneeze obnoxiously loud. She always thought that if she was going to sleep under the naked sky, she might as well do it somewhere she's not vulnerable, and what better place than a big, leafy tree. Her body was incredibly sour, she cursed herself for spending all her money in the night before " You ignorant, ignorant idiot... You'll never, learn will ya? You let yourself go, and then you start being irresponsible, you always end up sleeping in the middle of God knows where, with no money, no nothing...”
She sat up straight and stretch her arms and back, yawning and running her fingers through her black disheveled hair. While she rubbed her eyes looking around trying to adjust to the brightness she glanced down and saw a little stone abode “ How didn't I see that before? “
she thought to herself. “ I wasn't that drunk.” Through the leaves she saw someone. She moved away some small branches with her hand and behold a male, a angel male. His wings were rather big and majestic. Victoria had quite a history with Angels, she always felt threatened around them, not that she was scared, at least she didn't like to think so, but she would always get in conflicts with them, and the fact that she could see that this one Angel carried around some kind of sword wasn't very comforting at all.
The enormous silvery white wings of the male curled downwards at the tips, the muscles tensing in his back and through his arms before the wings slammed down, rocketing the male in to the sky fifteen feet. The wings lifted, and beat down again, slower this time causing the male to hover in mid-air with only the mild up and down motion associated with flight by wings. He leaned forward slightly and stilled his wings and began to glide down the mountain sides towards the small town nestled at the bases at the entrance to a small valley, a tiny glacial creek winding through the center of the town.
He coasted to the edge of the town, landing softly and slowly upon his feet. He let his wings hang open for several seconds before closing them behind him slightly and slowly walking through the town. The resident's stopped and stared at him, whispering softly. They all knew him, he had come in to this town everyday for the past week or two and ate at the local tavern which is exactly where he was headed. He walked up the old wooden building, pushing the door open and walking inside.
He walked to his seat, the exact same one he had been sitting in every time he had entered this establishment. He sat at the edge of his seat at the bar, ordering his usual food of a steak cooked medium rare with two eggs that where poached with a side of home fries, with a simple glass of water. He waited patiently for the food, and when it was set before him he began to eat it slowly and methodically. He would impale each bite of potato and egg with his fork, cutting each piece of meat from his steak before slowly and thoroughly chewing each individual piece and swallowing before taking the next bite. Occasionally he would pause and sip from the water, returning to eating and totally ignoring the almost complete silence around him as everybody stared, eyes wide as silver dollars around him with only the rare whisper passed between anybody.

She watched the angel flying away, seeming he was heading to a town in the mountains. She had been there last night, even though it was a small town, the villagers were very welcoming, and the fact that Victoria did not possess wings made it very easily to mingle between humans. On the other hand his wings were mesmerizing ,she tried remember the last time she had ever seen such beautiful wings. She was relieved that the male left thought. She leaned back into the tree, relaxing her muscles, and thinking, she closed her eyes feeling the fresh air coming through her nostrils and sweet scent of wet leafs and grass. The chirping of birds that filled her ears was interrupted by her stomach growling. Victoria frowned upon her hunger, and she glanced at the abode now abandoned. “ He wouldn't mind... I mean, he wouldn't know.
“
Victoria stood up on the branch that had been her bed for that night and despite her lack of wings she levitate descending on to the ground. When her feet touched the soil she walked to the small house and opened the unlocked door. Once inside of what it proved to be a very small and simple house, Victoria went immediately to the division that held a fridge. To her disappointment, when she got closer to it she noticed that it was broken and as she opened the door a rotten smell invaded the air. There was only some old meat infested with flies and a piece of bread , who seemed to be edible. “ God, what does this guy even eat? “She stepped away from the fridge, grabbing the bread, looked around to find nothing else in that room. She moved to the next room, what appear to be a bedroom, and failed to find anything more. She sat on the the twin sized bed, nibbling on the bread and examining a cabinet that had seemed to be slashed through something sharp... “ I'm sure as hell don't want to be here when this guy arrives...” she thought to herself. Zyxyz stretched his tired bones, back at it again. Last time (officially) was Afghanistan. He'd gotten to the Shifter and won that fight... sort of. Well, he'd come out alive and the Shapeshifter hadn't, so he had won technically but it had hurt more than he would have personally liked. Then Egypt rattled him with his run-in with the Sphinx... he hadn't killed the thing that time around because he'd been called back to Rome on emergency business. Now here he was in some undisclosed location where he'd parachuted in the night before. He'd studied the terrain and local town enough to be familiar with it and had made his way without much trouble to target's location where he had set up a watch for the night to discern target's patterns.
When the stone structure had been abandoned, Zyxyz made his move. Time was of the essence, since there was no way of knowing when the being might return. Zyxyz went inside quickly and quietly, squeezing his large body through one of the windows that seemed least likely to be noticed. After a quick scan, the Demon began his search for information. Pictures, notes, odd objects, whatever might give him an advantage in combat, be it psychological leverage or a physical weakness.
He'd only been inside a couple of minutes before he heard a noise towards the entrance of the small building. Zyxyz naturally assumed that the target had returned already. So much for a pre-battle search for the competitive edge, he thought as he squeezed himself into a particularly small closet. He silently closed the door within an inch of the frame, leaving just enough space to watch the room outside of the confining closet, and remained still, breathing slowed and quieted to avoid detection. He wasn't afraid of confrontation; on the contrary, he'd come here for it. At the same time, he was hardly a fool. Angels were one of a limited number that could innately pursue Demons even when airborne. Adding the power of the fabled (yet truly existing) Angel Hunter made it all the more dangerous and rewarding. Yes, he'd much rather have time to search for something, anything, that could end up saving his own life.

Victoria finished eating the stiff bread dissatisfied. Hunger was something very familiar to her, but that never made it easier to deal with, and it was even more frustrating when she knew that there was no one else to blame but herself for it. Her childish and irresponsible behaviors that would frequently emerge in the face of alcohol and gambling, would always put her on uncomfortable situations in the morning afterward. Thanks to her parents she had learned many ways to get money, credit card frauds, stealing here and there, doing favors... That's how she'd survive. There was a time when she wondered if she should settle down, but she rapidly came to conclusion that would be useless and boring.
Going through her thoughts she remembered that the angel could have money somewhere. “ Judging by his food and the rest,I highly doubt he has anything, but in for a penny in for a pound.
“ she thought.
Victoria stood up and revolve around her heels, thinking where could she look first, so she moved to other room. After coming back empty handed, she got on her knees and looked under the bed, to find nothing but dust. She then proceed to lift the mattress, where she found some bills that she quickly retrieved to her pocket, it wasn't much, but it could probably buy her something else to eat. She was getting ready to leave when she heard a noise coming from the cabinet. Victoria immediately stood up and turned towards the sound. She place her hand behind her back, grabbing the Desert Eagle but keeping it hidden “ Who's there?”

Zyxyz cursed the closet mentally. It was too damn small for him and the floor had creaked underneath him. Fortunately, the person in the household was not the target, but she had reached behind herself as she called out; likely for a concealed weapon. The Demon of Rome couldn't remain quiet, she knew he was here. If she had a gun and got too nervous, she might put a few bullets through the wall before he could do anything about it and it'd be all over. Mission failed.
"I'm coming out." He grumbled out. The door of the closet creaked open on it's hinges and Zyxyz squeezed out from the inside of the cramped storage space. He kept his eyes on hers as he said, "I'm Zyxyz." He was wearing his typical nice clothes. His hair was maintained as well as it could be after one had jumped from an aircraft, hiked to this house, crawled through a window, and stuffed oneself into such a small space.
"I come here on business from the Demons of Rome," he said authoritatively. "I suggest you do not interfere." He walked towards the left, moving slowly to keep her from feeling endangered but keeping his eyes on her. He reached a dresser and pulled open the top drawer, eyes still glued. "You're not going to cause me any trouble, right?" Zyxyz asked warily, but with the urgency of knowing that he needing to search the house quickly. He'd already lost too much time.

“ You're a demon ?
“ She felt hugely relieved and but didn't released the gun. “ Me too. “ she assured. Demons were less likely to attack each other without being provoked but she didn't know for a fact that this one wouldn't. She had pass experiences where she had been attacked by one of her kind, even though she couldn't say that she was polite girl that kept her mouth shut. If she could get close enough to touch him, she could read his thoughts, but he was physically bigger and stronger than her, Victoria couldn't take a chance in fist fight, so she kept some distance. In other hand he didn't seem hostile. She examined Zyxyz carefully, searching for anything that could help her learn anything else about the intruder. As the male moved to the left she carefully moved to the right always keeping eye contact, blocking the way out of the room. Victoria deviated her look to his hand as he went through the drawer. “ I don't know, it depends. What's your business here? “

Sol stumbled through the woods. One smooth, ivory skinned hand was holding the side of his head, fingers hidden beneath a full head of ebon colored hair. The expression on his handsome face was one more of irritation than pain, with the corners of his mouth turned ever so slightly down and his lips pursed together, almost in a sort of pouting expression. His eyes were narrowed only slightly, a dangerous light in the corner of his ice blue eyes.
The thoughts going through his head at this moment were fairly narcissistic and more than a little violent, but made perfect sense to his damaged psyche. Apparently, at some point yesterday, or was it the day before that? Whatever, doesnt matter. You see, he was in a bar however many days ago, looking for prey. Truth was, he was looking for a fight. Sol had hoped, if only slightly, there might have been a hunter or some other dangerous being there that he could use to help him blow off some steam. Maybe they would take the beating well enough to survive it. Or not.
What did his efforts get him? Hit in the back of the head with... something.. that didnt even begin to put a dent in his thick skull. Demons are a tough lot. When it was all over, he stumbled out of the bar after a brawl that nearly too the place down and he... blacked out for a bit. Yeah, thats been happening all too recently.
Now, Sol finds himself stumbling through woods, scuffing his black combat boots and tripping over the not-so-occasional tree branch or root. Making no effort to be quiet, Sol's every step snapped some twig or small branch. His lean, perfectly muscled, 6"1 frame ducked low branches as Sol spat out a curse as something would catch on his black jeans or shirt. Then he bumped his head.
After another short, or not, blackout, Sol awoke again outside of what appeared to be a cabin. After a quick survey of the turrain, Sol noticed some mountains. Nothing special. After his day, or whatever how long it was, Sol was in the mood for some rest and the cabin in front of him looked awefully cozy. Sort of. As he approached the door, Sol could hear voices inside. he dissmissed the sound. What being could refuse him whatever he wanted? It wasnt like he was going to hurt anyone...
Sol opened the front door and strolled inside, a look of confidence upon his face as he headed towards the voices. The first words that greeted him? "You're a demon?" The first sights? A huge male, well not huge, and a female whose own height was much more the human average. But from the what Sol had heard, he most likely wasnt dealing with humans. Though he couldnt help but notice the female was attractive... But there were more important things to think about. Like whether or not his life might be in danger.
"Well, this seems sort of interesting. Wrong place at the wrong time, I guess. Something caught my interest, though." His eyes were practically azure flames(though of course they didnt actually look like flames, nor did they glow), he was so excited, "A demon, you said?"
"Is this all!?"The young demon screamed to the heavens"Is this all I am!? Just some toy for them!?"He kicked the ground frustrated"Was i created to give pleasure without ever receiving any of my own?Never! Not once have i.."he sits down, too frustrated to go on.'Shhh, dont worry we can fix your problem.'something whispered inside."Who-"he stopped and began to laugh maniacally - making of a young Sol

Zyxyz had torn his eyes away from the female briefly to glance through a couple of the drawers, but they were mostly empty and certainly nothing in the dresser was helpful. He looked back at the female Demon after she asked his business, eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Why does it matter to you? This is neither your home nor are you guarding it for that Angel or you would be more upset with my intrusion." He looked to the bed and lifted the mattress with his left hand, electing to keep his right unoccupied in case his assessment was incorrect. Nothing was under it. He dropped it and growled slightly in frustration. Where did the target keep it's valuables? He took a look over the room, scanning for any hidden spots that might be useful. A loose piece of floorboard caught his eye near the female and he was debating how to get to it without igniting a useless fight when he heard a third voice.
"Well, this seems sort of interesting. Wrong place at the wrong time, I guess. Something caught my interest, though." The voice said. It added energetically, "A demon, you said?" Zyxyz rolled his eyes and mentally groaned. Another person, be it an ally of the target or not, was going to slow him down even more. He ignored the voice and smaller male and thudded his way to the floorboard that was pried up suspiciously. Once there (and less than three feet from the female, notably), he reached down to grab hold of the piece of wood and ripped it from the floor, snapping it in half about four feet down the board's path. He peeked an eye down the crack but couldn't really see anything and so reached his hand down blindly to grab anything in reach. He came up empty-handed and stood quickly to his feet, turning to face the female in his way. "Move." He commanded simply, obviously without patience.

Victoria reflected on Zyxyz words. He was right. She had nothing to do with this. She didn't care for the Angel or whatsoever. But Victoria's pride, as a demon pride, was too big to even think about obeying to this man blindly, and the fact that he denied to explain what was his business startled her curiosity even more. She heard a voice behind her and turned so she could see both, but still block the exit for the secretive demon. She removed her eyes temporarily from him and glanced at the other male. “ Yeah, a demon...
“ she answered, confused. She reassured her hand was around the gun and examined the new arrival, he didn't seem to be working with Zyxyz but she could not discard that possibility. “ And who are you, if I might ask ?”
“ Move “ the other demon demand. Victoria turned her attention again towards the first demon. He was angry... Good. She felt resentment feeling her insides, and just for the sake of her pride she replied. “ No.” Arrogantly grinning at him. She then came to realize that the demon was extremely close to her, it was her oportunity. She released the gun, walked quickly over to the demon, grabbing his wrist, she then began using her skimming to read his thoughts, as she would look him in the eyes. They came across strongly and fast due to his anger and impatient, she searched through them, fending from the useless ones, until she found what she was looking for. She stopped, looked back the other male, and back at Zyxyz eyes, still holding on to his wrist. “ You wanna fight him,you were looking for information to use against him...” She stood confused.

Sol yawned, and waved dissmissively at the large male uttering only one more word to him. "Rude." Sol watched, slightly amused as the male busied himself with searching things and attempting to order the female around.
Sol turned to the female. "You can call me Sol," he glared at the larger male, breifly "i was intersted in your words, because i am a demon too." Sol fashed her a quick smile, showing perfect white teeth, "its always nice to meet someone of the same species."
When the female darted towards the large male, Sol tensed, expecting a fight. Instead she just grabbed his arm, and judging by her next few words, she was kinda psychic or something...
Sol frowned slightly, his earlier headache forgotten "Wait, so this isnt one or both of you two's house?"

Victoria still had questions she wanted answered but she released the male's hand abruptly, fearing he could easily attack her from that short distance so she walked back to her previous position, but turned her attention to the new arrival.
“ Sol... I'm Victoria
” she tried to sound as casual as she could taking in account the situation they were in. “… because I am demon too” Victoria goggled her blue eyes at the coincidence and nodded her head. . She was caught off guard by Sol's charming smile, and strangely smiled back, glancing again to Zyxyz trying to predict any move, he could be even more irritated by her last move to she kept herself wary , seeing that she was still in his way.
“ No it's not. It's an Angel's house, I was nearby and saw him leaving , so I decided to... “ She was technically stealing, but it was for the sake of her own survival. It was kind of humiliating to admit she needed to steal to eat, but she was way to lazy and sour to go hunt, the house was just a phew feet away. “ Well, I decided to enter too see if I could borrow some food. “ She said quickly. “ And then I found him, hidden in a cabinet... “ She turned her hand to Zyxyz. “ He says is here on business on the behalf of the Demons of Rome, and apparently he wants to fight the angel.” She crossed her arms and leaned on the door frame. “ Why? What has he done that Demons of Rome should care so much about? And no, I won't move until you explain to me without me having to extort it from you”.
The male leaned back, having finished his meal. He placed his arms behind his head and simply sat, relaxing. He rolled his shoulders and sighed deeply, content with the meal. As today was the last day he would be he, he slid three solid gold coins upon the table. These would more then pay for his expenses here at the tavern. As he got ready to leave, a male stepped up behind him. He barked at the angel. "What you doing here freak? We are tired of you coming in here and bothering use, eating all our food and never talking to us. I demand," as he spoke he gripped Cordoba's right shoulder in what he thought was a hard grip.
Cordoba's right hand shot up behind the man, fingers wrapping around his head then slamming downwards. The male's face would connect with the table. Cordoba grinned, feeling bones snap and break between the table and his hand. He leaned close whispering in the male's ear softly as total silence filled the tavern and a small pool of blood began to spread along the bar. "I know who you are, and all about that tramp you cheat on your wife with. So next time you touch me, a little physical roughness is the last thing you need to worry about." He released the male's head, standing up and turning around. He walked out of the tavern in silence.
Outside, the male spread his wings and launched in to the air. He flew with slow, power beats of his wings back up the mountains and landed about ten feet from his home. He stopped, staring at the door that was open now. He knew he had closed that before he had left, and he was not still alive from being totally reckless. He drew his swords form his back, holding them firmly but with a flexible grip to allow him the ability to spin them or reverse his grip upon them if necessary. Walking towards the house, pausing outside the door and listening.
A female, speaking to somebody inside. Speaking to somebody who apparently wanted to fight somebody. It was obvious it was him, for they where hunting for information. Then a new male spoke, telling his name as Sol after labeling somebody as rude. Then he pointed out that at least two of the three people in his abode where demons. His eyes narrowed to slits, his face going hard. It was extremely rude of three people to all enter his home, with out his permission.
Keeping a hold of his weapons, the male kicked the door open and walked in, muscles rippling as he moved. He stopped, looking at the three people crammed in to his "bedroom" and shaking his head. His violet eyes gleamed, and he chuckled softly, then spoke with a deep, rolling voice reminiscent of a ocean wave that would roll towards them and crash upon their ear drums deep but gently.
"Well well, what have we here. Three demons, crowded in my room. One an extremely attractive female, albeit in demoness' guilty way. What gives the the, well I definitely will not lie and call it a pleasure, of seeing you all here?"

Zyxyz swore mentally. This Demoness wench had utterly kept him from searching for information and now... Now the target had arrived. So much for an advantage. He looked the Angel over. Definitely the muscled being he'd been sent here for. He was also wielding a pair of swords. Zyxyz' greatest advantage in this fight would probably come right now. With three demons in his home, this could easily look like a group effort... Besides which, Zyxyz was farther from him than the other two. A devilish smirk crossed his face before he spoke.
"Welcome home, Angel of hatred. We are simply here..." Zyxyz flung his hand out towards the Angel to evaporate his bodily fluids before finishing so the situation would be to dire for the other two to protest effectively and finished, "TO SEND YOU TO YOUR GRAVE!!" He moved backwards to position himself just in front of the window in case he needed to disappear. He pulled out his trusty sidearm (the same .45 he had used in his Afghanistan mission) and aimed it with his right arm, firing at the angel with the accuracy that Demons of Rome are renowned for. Of course, he probably wouldn't die from them... Not a being this strong. However, Zyxyz hoped that the shots coupled with the other two Demons would buy him enough time to drain target's body into a withered husk before he could think about dealing with Zyxyz. His wings sprouted at this moment, ready to fly out that potentially life-saving window. This might even be better than having searched for an advantage and facing him without distractions... he thought as a fourth bullet flew from his pistol.
