Stormchaser was quick to adapt and bounces off the shield of the first and over the sword of the second and still went for the back of the weretiger who was suddenly off balance from being struck in the face by the butt of a gun and strikes at the neck in an attempt to break it, claws sinking into its back. He didn't stay there long, however, knowing there were still the two angels behind him and bounds off behind a corner
Chaltah notches another arrow and turns only long enough to fire a shot at the bear, wishing she had silver tipped arrows for this. But she had to make due with the simple arrows she had. After the shot and takes out the a long sword and moves in as if charging and then diving to the creatures left and swings at his leg and follows up with a roll and back up on her feet.

Drew's timely intervention saved Gram's life. From what Gram could tell, while the minotaur had fallen on him, he'd produced a slender knife and shoved it through the minotaur's eye and into it's brain. The creature had been dead before the pair even hit the floor.
"I guess you didn't learn from our last encounter!" Gram taunted, enraging the group further.
When Stormchaser darted away, the angel pair didn't bat an eye. Immediately, they followed, flapping their wings to gathered additional speed and, less than a second behind, they were after Stormchaser again, one swinging low while they other swung high, shields interlocked and ready to defend each other from attack as Stormchaser clawed at the weretiger.
An arrogant laugh sounded from the open vault as the daemon stepped out. "Last time, your treacherous comrades caught me by surprise but we were expecting you this time." He began throwing more fireballs, aiming one at Chaltah.
The tigress roared in pain, responding by attempting to wrap her arms around Stormchaser to immobilise him while the angels attacked.
"For Artemis, the daughter taken from us through your treachery!" The werebear bore down on Chaltah, swiping one massive paw to knock her arrow from it's flight before attempting to swipe her bow from her hands. Gram thought about who it might be talking about and came to the inclusion that these to werebeasts must be the parents of the wolf girl he'd killed back in Ireland.
"It's useless! The scroll is ours!" The daemon shouted angrily.
Seeing a fireball headed toward him, Gram attempted to get out of the way but it exploded against the wall near him, setting his clothes alight and giving him minor burns on his left side. He dropped his pistol which Drew quickly scooped up and began to put to good use.

Chaltah was starting to run out of tricks as her bow was suddenly swatted from her hand "The do have us outnumbered Gram." she comments, hoping that the backup would show up soon. But it was likely not going to be coming as soon as she would like as she dodges blow after blow from the bear, then ducks as a sudden burst of flaming light was fast approaching her from behind and rolls to pick up her bow, proceeding to sweep it at the werebear's feet with it, likely breaking the bow in the process but perhaps tripping him up in the process.
Storm hears the clatter of shield behind him and sees the tigress reaching back for him. Quickly he changes forms into that of a mouse and latches on to the weretiger's ear, biting down hard before dropping to the ground and maybe the angels would hit her instead as he scampers across the floor heading for the werebear now.

The tigress hardly had time to react before the two angel's accidentally sliced her open. The high slash nearly took her head off, the blade catching on her spine, while the low disembowled her. She fell, shock clear on her feline features. The two angels barely missed a beat, consummate professionals, one immediately going after the mouse while the second kept his blade in check, waiting for Stormchaser to attempt to change shape again, ready to attack. "It is futile, shapeshifter! We know your tricks and you will pay with your life for betraying supernaturals to humans!" They shouted in unison.
The werebear, from across the room where he was attacking Chaltah, let out grating sound that Gram assumed was something like a chuckle as Chaltah broke her bow against one of his thick, heavily muscled legs. When he saw his mate killed, he roared and charged the two angels in a blind fury to revenge her.
The daemon, watching his group quickly lose another battle, shouted "Chuck, no!" as his forces began to turn on one another. Drew stood by Gram, bullets expended, not willing to wade into the fray with only knives in his hands.

As Stormchaser ran past the werebear he changes forms once more as it seems the angels were going to have their hands full with the furry ball of fury. He hated to kill fellow supernaturals but this group was out for blood and if they weren't stopped other people might suffer if they didn't do something and quick. He changes form into a small bird and circles around in the dark shadows above, heading for the Daemon, claws extended and with loud boisterous caws, the dragon went for his face, pecking and clawing trying to get him to drop the scroll.
Chaltah moves over to where Gram and Drew were "Hope your friends come soon with some more bullets. I think papa bear is mad" she draws both her blades now, watching as the werebear attacked the two angels that had killed his wife. She wondered if this would be a story to tell the people, it would be a legendary story to be sure at this point, she could almost hear it in her head as the roars and cries were heard all around "We betray nothing." she says softly in response the the angels cry "We are of this world as much as the humans are, they cannot be ignorant forever"

The daemon ground his teeth in frustration before throwing up his hands and releasing another blinding burst of light and cutting off his end of the hallway with a wall of fire before disappearing, taking the scroll with him.
"Tyrus! Don't leave us!" Was all one of the angels could yell after him before being forced to turn his complete attention to Chuck, the now now unfriendly werebear who was bearing down on them. "Don't make us kill you Chuck, we're not your enemies!" An angel shouted, blocking what attacks he could dodging the ones he couldn't. Frustrated by Chuck's continued hostility, "Take his flank, John!" he told the second angel.
John circled to Chuck's side, slashing at him with his sword, guarding when he had the werebear's attention and the other angel was attacking. It seemed like Chuck was nearly defeated when he ran into the first angel's blade, accepting the mortal blow while swung, clawing the angel open from shoulder to hip. "Dan!" John cried out as he finished Chuck off with a chop to the skull. The angel fell to his knees and cradled his dying brother's body in his arms. Moments later he turned to Gram, tears streaming from his eyes "Human! This is all your doing!" He got up and started to charge before being met with a hail of gunfire that swiftly ended him.
"I was wondering when you'd get here. You're a bit late to the party." Gram remarked, turning to meet his men who had finally made it back from the tunnels, noticing one was missing.
"The daemon, he got away again."
"Sir, we saw him fleeing and had Barr follow him." One of his men spoke up.
"Good work." Gram told them, before walking up to the still dying Dan, who'd been mortally wounded by the werebear. Turning to Chaltah, he spoke "Now. Lets go get my scroll."

Stormchaser was blinded by the light and had to back off, just narrowly avoiding the flames in the process. He lands on Chaltah's shoulder watching the bear and angels fight it out. It was surprisning for him to see the bear just impale himself on one of the Angel's swords so he could make a killing blow. It was only when the angel turned to face him that he got ready to fight though it seemed that the rest of Gram's men had finally arrived to fill the celestial full of lead.
Chaltah couldn't have asked for a better diversion than the bear raging against his allies. It would have been funny... if it weren't so terribly graphic as the man pretty much killed himself to avenge the woman. She almost felt bad for him. But survival at this point was more important. The flash of light and then the fire reminded her that the fight had been far from over and then the sound of bullets being fired as the angel fell to the ground "Well.. at least we are alive to persue. We can't let him get away." and heads for the exit

Gram kept his face impassive as he stared at the corpse of the werebear, Chuck.
"Until now, I hadn't thought of all supernaturals as people, people with names, friends, family..." He paused for a moment as he considered this. Supernaturals were not just the monsters of fairy tales told to children to him anymore. He thought about the girl he'd killed in the wilderness in Ireland. Well, she hadn't exactly been a girl at the time so much as wolf that was trying to tear his throat out. At the time, he'd seen killing her like putting down a rabid animal, to save his own life.
And the daemon he'd killed some time ago, Arthur Hans? That daemon was a father, he'd had a wife. Supernaturals were people too, and, before then, Gram had never killed a person himself. He felt no guilt, even with these new revelations.
"Lets... go." He said, turning to leave after those couple seconds of contemplation. Gram didn't see the look Drew's face; it was one of concern. Gram left the building, checking his cell for a text from Barr who'd sent him an address to where Tyrus had apparently holed up.
"Tyrus is holed up in a warehouse five miles from here. Barr says there are guards around and we may have another fight on our hands, so prepare yourselves."

Chaltah and Stormchaser, now back in his human form, exit the library. They were both very somber about what had just taken place. So many had suffered and lost and it wasn't over yet. The scroll had left with the daemon and now they waited until they heard back from the man of their next destination. When they got the address, she was surprised that he had even remained near the city but she put her blades away with a sigh "Let's get this over with. The bloodshed will only get worse if we allow that daemon to live. For the sake of all lives let's go get that scroll"
Stormchaser wondered if they could clear the museum of the various supernatural bodies there or just leave them for the world to find. But such damage that had occurred in there would have been hard to explain in any rational way any way so it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway unless they tried to put everything in order. So he climbs into the car along with Chaltah to head for their next and hopefully final destination.

Not too long after leaving the museum, the cars pulled up some distance away from the warehouse and were approached by Gram's man, Barr. Gram exited his car and waited for him to report.
"There are at least eleven of them inside, from what I can tell. There is only one viable entry point, the main door. Everything else is boarded up and, since the one with the scroll showed up, they seem to be preparing for a fight." Barr paused. All of Gram's men knew how intelligent he was and how thoroughly he thought things through, usually, but it was also their job to advise him on matters such as this, when they felt it was important.
"Sir, I think you're making a mistake." He did not have to say more.
The group was dangerous, but Gram wanted that scroll. The supernaturals had already proven susceptible to bullets before and, most likely were not expecting Gram to have found their safehouse so quickly. "Surprise will be on our side and we have the numbers to decimate them rather quickly in a surprise attack. But I won't try to force any of you to fight, if you think it is too risky." Gram looked at Chaltah and Stormchaser, to include them as well. Although Gram had told his men he wouldn't force them to fight, they all knew what he did to those who betrayed him and they knew abandoning the job they'd been hired to do mid mission would be viewed as a betrayal. He'd offered them a choice but there was none. They would fight.
"Are you two ready?" Gram asked Chaltah and Stormchaser as everyone checked their weapons and Drew strapped a vest on him, over the burned remains of Gram's suit jacket.

Chaltah looks over toward the warehouse "... how are we going to use surprise when there is only one door?" she glances up at the roof in thought "wish I still had a bow. I have nothing for ranged attacks" she taps at the pommels of her blades as she tried to come up with a plan that didn't involve ranged attacks. She had thought about borrowing a gun, but she'd likely be more of a danger than a help with one as she never used one before. "Stormchaser and I might be able to bust through the roof if it's not reinforced but it's going to create a lot of noise."
Stormchaser nods to the matter of going through the roof figuring it was his and Chaltah's best entry point if it wasn't reinforced. "Or we could torch a hole for you and your men to enter by. It might give you a larger element of surprise"
Post by Nathaniel Graham on Oct 23, 2014 19:30:29 GMT -5
Tracing the line of his jaw with one finger, Gram thought. "No, crashing through the roof could put the entire place at risk for coming down. The local authorities will likely come to investigate shortly after the battle begins and we wouldn't have time to dig through the rubble and find the scroll."
After thinking for a second longer, "Instead, could you guys burst in from the front, angry fire breathing dragon, while we follow, using guns to pick off those distracted by your rampage?" Gram asked. Such a tactic would put both Chaltah and Stormchaser at great risk, unless Chaltah hung back, but it would probably be their best chance. "Stormchaser would do a lot of damage on his own and would certainly put them on their heels. My men have good aim; this battle could be over in minutes."
Gram paused for a few moments to give Chaltah and Stormchaser time to ponder what he'd proposed.
Post by Chaltah Songblade on Oct 23, 2014 19:49:20 GMT -5
Chaltah looked at Stormchaser who was looking back at her as they both thought about this proposal. "Dragon scales are tougher than most weapons. But they will likely have weapons for that since they know a dragon hunts with you as well. But if we do have an element of surprise we could torch a couple of them before they realize what happened" Stormchaser comments after a long moment of silence. "It does seem like the best option in this situation really"
"It does indeed" Chaltah musses, her chin in her hands as she thought. If she had her bow she'd have likely been quicker to agree to the attack plan. But as long as she was on Stormchaser's back she would be relatively safe from any frontal assaults. "Alright let's do this before I change my mind and make a back door instead."
The dragon shifts forms one more time into his dragon form and Chaltah hops on drawing a sword and getting ready to jump into the fray. Once everyone was in place they moved into position, and at Gram's order, charges the warehouse, breathing fire to melt any metal as he uses his full weight to bust in through the front and a terrifying roar
Post by Nathaniel Graham on Oct 23, 2014 21:10:14 GMT -5
"Dragon!"
The supernaturals holed up inside were expecting an attack of some kind but they were not expecting this. Three supernaturals, those closest to the door, were killed within seconds, hit with fire and molten metal from the door and Stormchaser's breath attack and trampled beneath his charge. The other quickly turned their attention to the dragon, two minotaurs converging on him with large warhammers, designed to defeat armor. A centaur charged, wielding a great lance with a wicked tip. Tyrus could be seen all the way in the back, a startled look on his face, interrupted in the middle of a conversation with four angels.
The four angels were outfitted with ornate plate armor, decked out like medieval knights with an array of weapons. One, a female, pulled a bow from her back that was nearly as big as she was, nocking an arrow to match. Two more, male, produced swords and tower shields and advanced, quickly. The fourth, an elderly female, began throwing lightning bolts.

Stormchaser turns sidelong to bring his tail to bear on the approaching minotaurs, swinging it back and forth and as the centaur came charging forward he bears his teeth and lunges sidelong at the lance in an attempt to snap the weapon in two while Chaltah remained on his back, drawing her second blade and jumping down at one of the minotaurs if Stormchaser's tail did not send them flying. She then looked past the mess around them and saw the angels, especially the one with the bow. The bow was likely bigger than she which would make for a lot of pain if its arrow found its mark. "Storm, watch out for the arrows!" she would look around, if able, at the fallen supers that had either been killed by their initial attack, to see if there was a shield she could use to protect herself. But if she was engaged she would focus on that combatant instead.
Stormchaser raises his tail to give Gram and his men clearance through the hole in the warehouse so they could open fire at any target they could get sights on.
