Abilities Overview Our world is full of magic and abilities. Your character can learn to harness supernatural power and train themselves into powerful beings. However, what you do depends on your species. When you make a character, you start with 200 points, which can be spent on abilities and stats. Innates are free. Magical power can be claimed by any of a supernatural race. These abilities range from control of the elements, to memory wiping, to healing, to phasing through walls and more. Only humans are unable to tap into the magic in this world. All races are born with certain abilities, as can be found under their specific racial page, but they can use points to purchase any abilities of their choice. Information on this can be found in Supernatural Abilities. All species can train stats. Stats are points that go into things like your intelligence and strength, which determines how well you can do flips or beat others at arm wrestles. Information on stats can be found under Stats. Characters can take their stats even further. They can learn special stat based abilities. A few abilities are reserved solely for humans, to make up for their lack of magic. For more information, read Stat Based Abilities. Occasionally a human will be given a divine tattoo, giving them a small connection to the magic in this world. Physical vs Magical Abilities Overview Supernatural abilities fall into two categories: magical and physical. This distinction makes little difference for defensive abilities, however can be important for offensive abilities. This is due to the fact that Poltergeists and Banshees can only be harmed by offensive magical abilities. Physical abilities are still summoned by magic, however their effects are not considered magical. So, for example, pyromancy is the magical conjuring of fire, but the effects of the fire are not magical. This list is subject to change. Incanted Abilities Overview Certain abilities need to be incanted to properly function, for they are still deeply tied with their magical roots, and are considered spells. Of course, if the user has been magically Silenced, they cannot cast these abilities. This post includes a list of incanted abilities, as well as their incantations. Incantations Acidic Blast Incantation: Acidum. Alchemy Incantation: The incantation for alchemy is fairly fluid and accepting. One must simply describe what they would like while performing the ritual. Some believe it is more effective if you use Latin, however any language will suffice. Beast Call Incantation: Venit ad me qui partitur animam meam. Bond Chains Incantation: Capere eum. Call of the Apocalypse Incantation: Veniat ad me , et equus. Make sure you specify which horse. Detect Invisibility Incantation: Ostende te. Enchant Incantation: The incantation for enchant is fairly fluid and accepting. One must simply describe what they would like while performing the ritual. Some believe it is more effective if you use Latin, however any language will suffice. Enlarge Incantation: Augeo. Hasten Incantation: Citius. Invisibility Incantation: Latet. Raise Incantation:  Revertatur a mortuis. Make sure you specify what you are raising, unless you want every dead thing to come back. Shrink Incantation: Emarcesco Slow Incantation: Tardior. Summoning Incantation: Veni ad me... Either use their name, or describe them. You must picture them in your mind. The following abilities do not need an incantation, but as they can be affected by the magical ability Silence, I will list them: Battle Roar, Sonic Pitch, Voice Cover
