Julian Timothy Clark
theme song:; The Bard's Song by Bling Guardian
description:; Julian is a loner, with slightly anti-social tendencies; not because he dislikes other people, but because he finds it tiring and very awkward to be active in social situations. He does suffer from mild depression and anxiety due to family issues, mainly the lack of a father, and the lack of his mother's involvement in his emotional growth. However, this sort of life has lead to him having a simple and somewhat pure outlook on life, with him seeing the value or everything and every one (except for a majority of insects), and believing that all people are equal at the core. He has a pacifistic nature, though he will be ruthless if a situation needs a violent or aggressive solution. And, while he does not take any particular interest in most things, the people who he does find worth the effort of caring about, he would do anything for (within reason).

background:;Julian was born into the household of an upper middle class single mother; his birth being the result of a one week trip, by his mother, to Dresden. He was the second child among three boys; his older brother and younger brother both from the same dad, while he was a bit of an accident. The eldest son, Daniel Thomas Jr. (who later had his name legally changed to Daniel Clark), and the youngest, Bennett Clark, where both born to a man named Daniel Thomas, who Joanna had been in a relationship with three times, and engaged to twice. However, these three brothers loved each other the same, no matter whose blood was flowing through their veins, although it did always seem as though their mother, Joanna Clark, held more favor for Julian's brothers than she did for Julian; not that she really gave out much affection for any of them.
Joanna was always too focused on her job, and on financial success and material wealth, and would often substitute the love her children needed with money and gifts. This led to the three brothers developing a strong bond between the three of them, especially since Daniel was only two years older than Julian, and Bennett was three years younger. Every struggle one of them went through was a struggle that the other two shared, and every source of joy was a celebration for all three. Even after Daniel moved to Ohio for college, the three of them remained incredibly close.
After Daniel received his Bachelor's, he moved back to Houston to get his master's at Rice Univesity, so that he could be closer to his brothers. Julian, attending the University of Houston at the time, as well as working multiple high-paying and low-effort, but low-traffic jobs as a balloon artist, poet, and software developer, offered to get an apartment with Daniel, which the elder brother agreed to. Soon after Daniel moved back to Houston, he and Bennett went together to a Paramore concert, both brothers went to some party at a club, which Julian opted out of due to his already slightly introverted nature, and him feeling sick at the time.
Sadly, Daniel and Bennett never came back from the party. The brothers had been involved in an accidental collision with a drunk driver who decided it would be a good idea to turn left during a red light. The drunk driver's truck collided nearly head on with Daniel's Corolla; Bennett died on the spot, and Daniel passed away while on route to the hospital.
After the accident, Joanna began to pay even less attention to Julian and, when she did, it was as though she treated him as the reason for everything bad in her life, especially the death of Daniel and Bennett. Julian became even more introverted and anti-social due to this, and moved back into a two-bedroom apartment by himself, but he brought some items from Bennett's room and some of Daniel's stuff with him, so that he could always remember his brothers. He also added Bennett's high school class ring to a necklace Daniel had given him two years prior, containing a shark tooth which had been pulled out of Daniel's leg after he had been attacked by one. This necklace became Julian's most prized possession, as it served as a constant reminder of his brothers, and a way to always keep them close to him.
During the few months after his brothers' death, Julian began to experience his own powers. Once, in the middle of a thunderstorm, a bolt of lightning struck down upon him, but it seemed to split above his head, as though there was some kind of shield around him, keeping him safe from it. He had simply thought himself lucky at that point, and it wasn't until later that he realized just how different he had always been from his brothers, and from everyone around him. One night, while walking through Wussow Park, Julian was stopped by a group of four guys who were looking to mug him. Feeling threatened, with his pace rising, Julian experienced his first time going through the poltergeist transformation. The four young men who were planning on simply mugging Julian were frightened and threatened by the monster that appeared in front of them, and pulled a gun out to shoot at the creature, which seemed to be impervious to them. Fueling Julian's fear and rage, he was about to attack the group who had intention to assault him, before he was stopped by another dark figure which appeared out of the night; it was another dark elemental who had undergone the transformation.
This new 'monster' grabbed Julian by the throat and slammed him into the ground, holding him there while Julian constantly felt himself growing weaker. When Julian awoke next, he was in his own bed, and, going to his living room, he saw a complete stranger sitting on his couch, casually sipping a cup of coffee. The man introduced himself as Kyrian Tidus, and revealed to Julian what they both were; then, for the next month, Kyrian helped Julian to realize what powers he had and how to use them, as well as giving him advice to do some combat and survival training.
About a year after Julian had met Kyrian, he received a letter and a ring in an envelope. The letter revealed that the sender of the envelop was Julian's dad, though it did not give a name or any other form of contact info. The letter was simply an apology for not being able to be in Julian's life, and saying that the ring was something which a member of their family should have, as well as giving vague hints about Julian's powers being inherited from his dad. Satisfied with just this amount of closure, Julian added the ring in the envelope to his necklace, and began to wonder who his dad was, and what 'family' he belonged to.
(A year and a half later, Kyrian visited once again, and left Julian with the coin, saying that it was an identifier for the Tidus family and that, while it might no longer hold any sort of importance, it might be useful in people identifying the coin and possibly providing help for Julian, if he mentioned Kyrian's name. Kyrian also identified the symbol on the ring that Julian received from his father, relieving to Julian that it was the familial crest of the Slavik family, what used to be a powerful and influential family of elementals in Eurasia, and that the symbol was actually a solar eclipse with a nightingale in front of it.)
