As Pandora went off in the direction of the old man and Linette, there was katana guy's voice behind her introduced himself as Marcus, and continued being a complete wise ass about magic carpets and so on. She stopped her walk to turn and face the man. Not because she had anything to say to him, but because the one now known as Henry rushed back past her towards him and began freaking out. A little too harshly in her opinion. Honestly she wasn't liking this Henry guy much at all. "Let him try that shit on me." It was always obvious that there was something wrong with Henry, and it made Pandora question again why the hell she was bothering to be here.
The tiger girl continued back and met up with Linette. "Good to see you." she smiled. "How do you know that guy?" Pandora wanted to see what Linette knew, if anything. Any information Linette could give might he helpful in figuring out what was going on with this guy. "Is he always like this?"

Matching the near speed of a cheetah, the man bound by heavy brass darted for Marcus. It would be a lie to say that the daemon didn't see it coming, but it was still a big surprise that that man could even move at all. When he was close, Henry thought it very wise to challenge Marcus with his words.
"There are people dying down the shore," he said. "People who are killing both themselves and one another against their will. And yet here you stand, an Insolent little Cur, who has the GALL, THE SHEER IGNORANCE TO TRY TO MAKE JOKES?" His voice began to rise as he continued to give- what Marcus would assume to be a berate on Marcus's choice of words. However, Marcus couldn't have cared any less for Henry's show, and he showed this by rolling his eyes and folding his arms in a non-credulous manner. Many people believed that telling a 100 year old man something new would change his thoughts on many things, but it was them that never learned that old dogs never learned new tricks.
Although, henry couldn't see this. He was still a crazy man, after all, and didn't know when to give up while dealing with a daemon who could control metal, and just so happened to have a large sharp piece of metal in his hands right then. Henry grasped Marcus's shoulders, and pulled him in so that only Marcus could hear his muffled whisper, "All life is sacred... maybe if you had any semblance of understanding of that, you wouldn't be the cursed worm that you are."
Marcus simply smiled at Henry, one of pure tainted evil, the one he worked so hard to create over his years of living. He wasn't placing Henry as a target for his obnoxiousness, not until Henry mentioned Marcus's curse. Now, the man had gotten to Marcus, and Marcus would make this trip a little more harder on Henry until he regretted meeting the daemon. And first he would begin by showing Henry the type of person he was actually talking too.
In the low whisper, the same that Henry had, Marcus said, "If that were true, then explain to me how I am alive, and millions of others are below me?" Then Marcus spoke up so that everyone could hear him. "I am so sorry 'Henry.' I'll try to tone down the jokes, for the sake of the people who are dying and killing each other." He winked, but kept that ominous grin.
When Henry released his grip on Marcus, he moved in front of the group and said, "You all need protection, and I all need groceries. We're getting all of that in town." Marcus fought the urge to say, 'don't forget to get me a lollipop, daddy,' but decided to save his jokes for when they were further in town. What he really needed was to figure out what was happening in this town, which sadly meant sucking up to Henry and dealing with his harsh breath. When Marcus felt the time was right, he would revert back to his stubborn sarcastic self, the him that would never die, not by the curse of a god or by the scoldings of a crazy deranged man. One thing was for certain, Marcus will laugh at the dead, and he will laugh because they are what he isn't.

Ben watched on with no small amount of amusement as Henry proceeded to chew Marcus out. Sleepy seemed fairly unperturbed by the frothing lunatic’s rant, if maybe a little irritated. Unfortunately, the portly man managed to miss the rest of the encounter as he noticed the much more interesting patch of sand located near one of his hairy feet.
Managing to turn his attention back to the motley group, Ben chewed on one end of his soiled mustache, letting out a slight grunt of approval when Henry finished talking. Groceries mean food, right?
The cyclops growled slightly at the prospect of being fed.
However, he did take note that the two women seemed to immediately huddle together, seeming awfully chummy for two people who’d just met. Unless, Ben thought, picking at some lint in his belly button thoughtfully. Unless they already knew each other! The man let out a loud, smug fart, satisfied he’d figured out that particular little mystery.
When Henry began walking off again, Locke followed without protest, waddling along. His ample belly jiggled immensely underneath it’s thick coat of body hair as the portly man attempted to keep up.

The walk to the hardware store and deli were short ones, and marked by the heavy clanking of brass boots on pavement and asphalt. Once they were there, Henry simply... Disappeared. At least for the better part of fifteen minutes, when he reappeared between the two with a wheelbarrow laden full of nondescript packages of a rather ponderous weights. Loudly, he announced "I hope everyone has been shopping for supplies and groceries, because from this point on we will have quite a road cut out for us."
A large bag hanging from the rear of the wheelbarrow spoke that Henry had in fact been practicing what he had just preached. Various meats, cheeses, breads, and fluids rattled crinkled and clinked in the dark sack, an unspoken hint to just how long they would possibly be on the move.
"If you haven't stocked up, You've got ten minutes to do so. After that we need to start fitting you lot for equipment." The somewhat senile older gentleman voiced.

"How do you know that guy?" was the first question asked after Linette embraced her friend. "It's actually a funny story. I was at a small bar up the street from here a couple weeks ago when we met; I was spending some time drying off grabbing a couple drinks, when he walked in diving suit and all. It smelled fresh of sea water and fish; my favorite combination ^^" Linette giggled. "Everyone in the bar seemed to disperse as he took his seat. Despite his odd appearance i thought id keep him company; its not right for anyone to drink alone you know" she looked to Pan for confirmation. "From there he told me many stories of his adventures out in the vast blue sea, and we drank until late in the night" she smiled at the thought of their first encounter.
Pan followed with "Is he always like this?" indicating Henry's odd nature. He seemed to be mumbling his plan to himself at the moment. "Well I'm no expert on Henry, but i know hes a good man. With a kind heart... so if he needs help, i will."
Linette had barely realized that they had made it to market place, and Henry was no where in sight. She walked through the stores with Pan grabbing random supplies, food, and odds and ends they might need for the journey. When they'd returned to front of the store it appeared that Henry had bought his own personal stash of supplies. He announced "If you haven't stocked up, You've got ten minutes to do so. After that we need to start fitting you lot for equipment."
Linette told her the story of how her and Henry met, and nodded slowly at the part where she spoke of not wanting him to drink alone. It seemed that her blue haired friend got to see the good side of Henry that the rest of the group was not lucky enough to see yet. Pandora still wasn't fond of the weird guy, but Linette was one of the few people she had grown to trust and if she trusted Henry then Pan would try to give the guy a chance too.
Somehow the group managed to make it up towards the shops where Henry and told them to stock up. Spending long periods of time in the wilderness alone already, Pandora already had a lot of useful things in her backpack already. It definitely wouldn't hurt to take a look around and get more. She stopped at all of the stores that appeared to have useful items, and enjoyed bits of conversation with Linette as they shopped together. About fifteen minutes later Henry showed back up with a ton of supplies and a warning that they'd be finishing up in ten minutes and begin being fitted for equipment. Equipment? Pandora was really hoping he didn't mean an ugly clunky suit just like he was wearing...

The grouped walked to their nearest shop, where their local crazy guide had decided to separate from them for a little while. Seeing as this shop only sold food, Marcus figured that the deep-suited diver wanted everyone to buy their own source of food. With the amount of money that Marcus had, that was not a very big problem.
The first thing the daemon bought was a bag to hide his Katana, then he bought several more bags to hold the food that he was bringing along. he then bought several large amounts of water, a lot of snacks, a large load of food that required heating, and some vegetables and fruits to keep his body healthy while on the trip. Finally, Marcus bought a champagne bottle, one of the fancy looking ones so that the group, or just Marcus, could celebrate their mission success, or possible failure.
When Marcus had finished shopping, he returned to the group with a shopping cart (one that he was planning on stealing) filled with his food supplies. He arrived just in time to see Henry with a wheelbarrow. This guy was definitely going for the deep sea look, and it would definitely fit him if he wasn't crazy.
"I hope everyone has been shopping for supplies and groceries, because from this point on we will have quite a road cut out for us," Henry said.
A long road with no jokes? Marcus thought. This guy is asking for too much. Marcus didn't think that he could go an entire minute without talking, but going an entire hour without making a single jest was asking for the impossible, especial for a guy like Marcus, whose jokes kept him form slowly becoming insane.
"If you haven't stocked up," Henry continued. "You've got ten minutes to do so. After that we need to start fitting you lot for equipment."
It was then that Marcus decided to ask, "What about weapons? Will we be needing to buy those too?" Marcus expected a yes, he would rather prefer a yes to come from that man's lips, but the daemon had no idea of the actual situation of where he was going into. He needed to know now if he was to murder people or not. He really hoped he could murder.

Once the group had arrived at the shops, Ben didn't even notice Henry disappear. Having made a beeline straight for the deli, the portly man could not care less about what the others were doing as he filled his grumbling stomach.
Being quite ample, that took some doing and cost him a considerable amount from the money he had stashed away in his fanny pack. The clerk had displayed some minor displeasure with the state it had been in. Ya know, smelling like hamburger and having a few mustard stains and all.
Once the group had met back up again, their shopping finished. Ben would have a pack on the back of his hairy shoulders, a sandwich slightly protruding from the top. In his hands he held another sandwich, one the hirsute individual happened to be in the process of consuming.
Henry informed them that they would be moving on shortly and they had only a few minutes to stock up if they hadn't already. Locke just continued to eat his sandwich while he listened. Sleepy asked a silly, but probably relevant question so the portly man paused in his meal to listen to Henry's answer.
Oh, and Ben was still wearing nothing but his speedo.

After ten minutes had passed, on the dot exactly, Henry began to unpack his wheelbarrow and set several sets of clothing down on the sidewalk. The suits were rather thick, mostly one piece, and came with several brass plates in varying sizes. Fasteners and bolts, strips of polymer and both thick and thin, and a few rather complicated looking mechanisms were all present in the piles.
Gesturing to the piles, Henry loudly said "Pick a set that looks like it'll be about your size, I will fit it to you when you choose. The material itself will expand to accommodate most shapes and... probably most sizes." A pointed glance in Benjamin's direction ended his dialogue for that moment, while he busied himself with checking over his own equipment to pass time.
Henry checked his joints, his plates, his airflow, air reserves, pressure, glass, helmet, reinforcements, and even his own set of bizarre weaponry, spear included, while he waited impatiently for people to get themselves in order.

"Pick a set that looks like it'll be about your size, I will fit it to you when you choose. The material itself will expand to accommodate most shapes and... probably most sizes." Henry announced to the entire group. They appeared to be suits similar to what Henry was wearing with different Brass plates and other pieces ready to adorned to them. Linette wondered if they were venturing out into the ocean or if these suits were for something else.
"Henry exactly what are these suits for" she asked looking somewhat befuddled while picked up the thick rubber and rolling it between her fingers. It almost reminded her of dolphin skin but a bit more course. "Also Henry exactly where are we going; you haven't really mentioned it either? I trust you but i don't think our new friends are quiet there yet" Linette added on. She may not have been great friends with the older gentleman but she trusted him.
"How stylish." she said sarcastically while looking down at the pile of suits Henry had placed on the ground. This was exactly what she didn't want to do. It was bad enough she had to be around a crazy guy and these punks, but now she had to dress like them too. Pandora found a suit that appeared like it would fit her frame best and picked it up to examine it. Then she looked around to see how everyone else was dealing with it. She REALLY didn't want to have to wear one of these.
Linette already beat her to the questioning on why they had to wear one of these, and where they'd be going. She waited to see if Henry would reply to her friend. He better not freak out on Linette like he had to Marcus a little earlier. Marcus was being a wise ass which might have pushed his buttons, but there was still no telling what the crazy old man would do.

Henry did not answer Marcus' question? That was rather rude. For a man who wanted Marcus to show a little compassion for the already dead, he certainly did not do too well to show some compassion for the living.
"Pick a set that looks like it'll be about your size," he said instead. "I will fit it to you when you choose. The material itself will expand to accommodate most shapes and... probably most sizes," he turned to the fat man especially.
The blue haired girl moved up to the suits first, asking questions Marcus wanted to know as well, but in a softer tone than how he would've asked them. Marcus instantly moved to the biggest suit, wondering if it would be enough to fit him and his very large wings. Currently, he was hiding them under his blue coat. Although, some people could recognize it from the lump which his wings made. Most mundanes figured that he was deformed, but true supernatural creatures could always tell.
"I'd like to add another question to that," Marcus said when the blue haired one asked her questions. "Just what exactly happened to your people to drive them insane?"

Well, Ben was having difficulty doing two things at once. He was attempting to finish his sandwich while looking at the pile of crap Henry had dropped on the ground in front of them. What even was this stuff? He didn't know. The sandwich was pretty good, though. Maybe a little dry. Now he was thirsty. Anyways, he didn't notice the look the crazy old guy had given him.
Sandwich finished, the portly man began drinking from the taco bell cup he'd brought for just such an occasion. Mountain dew. Mm.
Approaching the weird suit things, Ben squatted down. It would be a very unpleasant experience for those behind him. The lime green speedo disappeared into the hairy, flabby bum that was Locke's backside. It made him fart but only a little bit so it was ok.
Ben poked the suit that was of interest to him. It was weird but the portly man wasn't worried about it fitting. He could always shave a few inches off of his waist if the suit called for it.

"A mining operation opened up a system of caves that would have best been left alone. Within days spores had spread to cover a square mile around the site, which unfortunately includes my village. The suits are for protection against the spores, as well as anything else we might run into on the way down the caverns. If you spring a leak, speak up. Would be better to just put you out of your misery then and there, you do not want to be alive when the fungus takes hold of your body." Henry said, already going about fitting suits to everyone like a Tailor who is three months behind schedule. Obviously there was a little more sustenance to fitting a modernized dive suit to someone, mostly because of the plates, but in essence he was acting the part of a clothier.
The included weaponry that came with each suit was fairly global for all sets, though they differed in some minor ways. All were self contained pneumatic weapon systems, though some shot ball bearings, one seemed to be loaded with bolts similar to that one would load into a crossbow, and the rest looked like they fired small darts. Their exact operation was a mystery as the things were nearly completely closed up by non-transparent metals and composites, but presumably each projectile was fired with the use of an air canister of some sort.
When everyone was sufficiently suited up and comfortable, Henry led the way back down the beach a ways. As it turned out, he hadn't walked the entire distance. Also as it turned out, it appeared that everyone was going to be stuffed into the cramped interior of a five-man Submersible that looked like it crawled straight out of World War Two.

The thought of fungus growing on her and taking control of her actions completely disgusted and disturbed Linette. How would a fungus do that anyway?
Henry began suiting her in the clunky suit, and it felt extremely awkward for her. Most of Linette's out fits only consisted on a bikini top/tank top and shorts of some kind. She wondered if Henry had a plan to destroy this mutant fungus, and save those who are infected. She held onto her question trying not to sound doubtful. The last thing they needed was for this group to be anymore dysfunctional than it already was.
Now being fitted and ready for this odd adventure Linette followed Henry's lead back to the beach.
