Tenshi shakes his head and laughs as he listens to Ben explain himself about the C4 with a casualness that was astounding to the Daemon. He never had met someone so cool about such a thing as C4. It had him actually very impressed at how comfortable this man was with his life and what he did. He didn't care one bit what anyone thought about his hobbies or private life. It almost felt as if Ben thought himself above the world of laws and that was something that Tenshi admired.
"Well I'm glad you at least had the common sense to not set it up ahead of time. Where is your office? We'll go and get it now and see what mood strikes us along the way" he comments as he continues their drive. The sky was a little overcast tonight and he wondered if it might rain. But rain wasn't going to ruin his night tonight if it did come. In fact, he might find a way to capitalize on it if it did. He'd just need to think of what that thing would be.

"Great!" Ben clapped his hands in excitement when Tenshi agreed to head over to the office to grab the C4.
Technically, it wasn't entirely necessary considering the young man could simply teleport to the office, grab it himself, and be back in the car in less than a second or two. But Locke was of the opinion that sometimes it was just better to do things the long way. It wasn't as if he didn't have an infinite lifespan to do whatever he wanted. The young man just never felt too particularly pressed for time.
Also, Ben wasn't a fan of revealing his capabilities to people. Not even his friends.
"My office isn't too far from here. Up the road a little ways," He indicated the next turn. "And turn there. It's like the first office building you'll see." Directions given, Ben relaxed in his chair.
As they drove up to the building, they would notice the yellow crime scene tape put up over all the entrances to the building, along with the numerous broken windows, soot from when part of it had burned down, and a few of those chalk outlines to indicate someone had died there complete with blood spatter.
"Park in front, please. This'll just take a minute."

Tenshi pulls the car up to the curb, just outside the yellow tape and gets out to get a better look at the scene "This looks a lot like the place I heard about on the radio earlier today. I gather this might have been some of your doing?" he says with a slight smirk to the man before he departs into the building to grab the C4.
The thought of how C4 laying around unnoticed made him think about how he would have handled it, and rather than take it into the office, he would have left it in his car. But then maybe Ben didn't have a car to leave stuff like that in. And he did leave it in a brown paper bag. Which begged the question of how often the refrigerator was emptied when it came to stuff just lingering in their without anyone laying claim to it. And again raised the question of just how dumb these people were to leave such an item on their premises.

Ben shrugged sheepishly. "Well. Technically, I didn't do any of this. But it wouldn't be entirely inaccurate to say that I may or may not have been somewhat responsible."
The young man climbed out of the car and jogged up to the front glass doors. Ben casually tore the yellow police tape aside and climbed through the broken frame, humming a nonsensical tune as he made his way through the ruined lobby. Once he was out of Tenshi's sight, he teleported to the breakroom a few floors up.
The fridge was covered with blood so Ben teleported home to grab a towel, wiping off the fridge hand once he'd teleported back so he could open the filthy thing without having to wash his hands afterwards. Locke smiled. "Just where I left it," he said as he pulled out the brown paper bag marked 'Hands off! Not yours.' He made sure to check it was all there before going.
This time, he hurried to the elevator shaft. The doors had been pried open and the elevator was just gone, but that didn't bother Ben. The young man floated down, stepping back out into the lobby once he'd reached the main floor.
"Got it!" Ben exclaimed as he climbed back into Tenshi's car.

Tenshi walks past the tape once Ben enters the building and looks around at the carnage. He sucks on his teeth softly as he stands over one of the outlines of chalk where one had died and then looks about to see whether he could ascertain just how he died. Jumping? Shooting? Blunt trauma? It was hard to figure out really without the evidence which was likely already back at the police station. He could only imagine the level of intensity that this... party... had risen to in what might have been a relatively short period of time.
He turns when he hears Ben's call saying he had the C4 and makes his way back to the car and hops in "Well now, I guess we'll drive around the town and see where the mood strikes us eh? In the mean time, tell me some of your previous work experience, aside from your last job which I can see wasn't worth your time" he chuckles as he takes off, whipping the car around so they were going back from whence they came.

"Well, I've spent the last few years doing mostly accounting work. That's what I have my degree in. But in my spare time I've been an ice cream man in Texas, a ship captain in Alaska, an adult film actor in Greece, a park ranger in Wyoming, a master chef in Michigan, a taxi driver in New York," Ben went on to name several other odd occupations around the world.
"Do you mind stopping by 7-11? I kind of want a slurpee. I like to mix the mountain dew and cherry flavors together. I know it sounds weird but it's pretty darn good and happens to be my favorite." Meanwhile, the young man took out two blocks of C4 and began to wire them. To prevent them from accidentally detonating, he manually disabled the detonators until he was ready to put them to use.

Tenshi drives on listening to the list of various 'odd' jobs the man had done over his time "My goodness you are a busy boy. I guess my next question to you is, how long can I expect you to stay working in my employ with such a track record?" he gathered this was likely going to be a short term investment but hey, this guys had a lot of things going for him and he didn't mind getting his hands dirty if things got rough by the sound of it.
At the mention of 7-11 the daemon couldn't help but laugh. He himself had never been in one but he knew that the chain was insanely popular to many of the common folk. "I think we have some time. And they're always open" he chuckles as he makes a detour, scanning the signs for that familiar neon light. "Best leave that here" he motions to the C4. I've heard the people that work these night shifts can be pretty on edge. And to answer your question about casinos, humanity has always felt a need to gamble. Ever since the dawn of time there are records showing that they placed wagers and the like. I simply saw casinos as the perfect outlet for all of that"

The young man shrugged sheepishly. "I've never found myself too particularly limited. What I've wanted to do, I could do." Tenshi asked how long he could expect Ben to remain working for him. This prompted a brief moment of thought from Locke.
"Well, it depends. I like to have fun. Most of my jobs are brief, based on whims I indulge in my spare time. I worked in the office we just left for years."
Barring some disaster or disagreement with his employer, Ben didn't see any reason for why he would quit his job. With the ability to teleport, there was nothing stopping him from visiting somewhere like China and still being back in time for work.
"If I left the C4 in the car, then what would I do if inspiration were to strike and all of a sudden I found myself without my trusty block of C4? That would be a disaster!"

"Let's not blow up one where they've seen your face shall we?" Tenshi couldn't help but wonder if this boy was a little messed up in the head but he seemed normal enough as well. But if he decided to take the C4 in there that was his prerogative and wouldn't stop him. "Besides, I'm sure there are far more interesting places we could use that than a 24 hour shop" he adds as an afterthought. He could probably come up with something far grander than the local stop and shop "Like taking out some of my potential competition" he chuckles as he could picture taking out enough of one of the local casinos to close it down for a few months. After parking the car, he cuts the engine and gets out, deciding to have a look around and see if there might be anything worthwhile on the shelves for his amusement

Face? Ben's face screwed up in confusion for a moment before he remembered that not everyone could change their face as easily as they could snap their fingers. "Face? Don't worry about my face." The young man told him with confidence.
Locke rarely wore the same face for more than a day or two. Sometimes he changed faces within the hour. The ability to change shape was one that Ben had been swift to cultivate before living among humans. He chuckled slightly at how they would've reacted if he walked among them in his true form. So many people would freak out.
"So long as they have the mountain dew and cherry flavors I like, I'm sure the poor, tired clerk will go home with nothing too particularly significant having happened during his or her shift." Once the car had come to a stop, Ben hopped out and strode into the convenience store.

Tenshi would follow after Ben as he entered, glancing around at all the little knicknacks people might ever be possibly interested in buying. The location of the place was perfect for those late night food runs without having to drive too far if at all. He walks back to the refrigerated section and glances over the small variety of beers and ales they had available. He normally didn't drink the stuff, preferring harder liquors with a bit more class over the simple hops brew. But he picks up a 6 pack of corona and makes his way to the front counter, pulling out a 20 from his wallet and his ID. He waits for Ben to get himself his drink before he purchases the beer and makes his way out of the place, getting in to the car, just in case poor Ben didn't get his heart's desire and wanted to blow it up, wanting to be ready for a quick get away.

Ben walked into the store, humming a similar nosensical tune. Similar because while a lot like the one he was humming earlier when he went through the office, it is not entirely identical. Anyways, the young man approached the slurpee machine. Now that a delicious iced beverage was within reach, Locke noticed that he was feelin' pretty thirsty. But just how thirsty was he?
He'd noticed Tenshi enter the store, though that man had walked to the back, checking stuff out. Ben wondered if he'd grab anything. Probably just browsing, was his thought.
Obviously Locke was going to get a mixture of mountain dew and cherry flavors. They were his favorite, after all. But he still had to pick out what size cup he wanted. Ben didn't really want more than a medium, but did he really even want that much? He'd had, like, a gallon the day before. The young man figured a size small would be wise, so that's the one he grabbed.

As he stood up at the counter, getting the beer, Tenshi glances at some of the local tabloids and chuckles at some of the articles in there and tosses one up on the counter "I'll take that too. Some pretty good stuff in there if you ask me" granted a lot of it was hoax but if you looked hard enough you could see the glint of truth behind the bullhonkey that the people wrote that everyone seemed to eat up. Another proof of peoples passions sadly mislead, but comically fun to read.
Tenshi sat in the car now with his beer and his tabloid, waiting for Ben to come out of the store with his tasty treat, taking a sip from the corona from time to time. It wasn't half bad really. He could understand humans and their tendency to gravitate to this drink but it just wasn't something that sold him.

After the few moments it took to fill the cup, Ben made his way over to the clerk, grabbing a bag of gummy bears as he went. Gummy bears were definitely a necessity. One couldn’t survive alone on merely mixed mountain dew and cherry flavored slurpees, delicious though they were. A young man such as himself needed some solid sugars too, ya know.
"Here ya go," He handed the man a twenty and told him to keep the change. It wasn't like Ben had any use for money or anything. It was really only good for buying a slurpee or two every now and then. Gummy bears were cool, too.
Half of his drink was already gone by the time he climbed back into Tenshi's car. Ben was starting to regret not getting a larger sized cup. But it didn’t really matter. He could always pop back and grab some more if he felt like it.

"Some Corona beer and this juicy little tabloid here" he hold it up "Some upstart singer decided to throw the dice and got himself in trouble with his girlfriend. Or so it says anyway. Can never be too sure about these but I do get a good laugh out of them" he sets it down and turns on the car once more to pull out of the parking lot and back out on to the street. "I gather you got what you wanted as the building is still standing?" he says with a chuckle as he moved out on to a more open street, the engine revving up as he increased their speed. "Oh and you're welcome to one of the beers friend. And I was thinking. It would be such a terrible tragedy if one of my competitors had to close their doors due to unforeseen events but with my new casino opening I could at least give them a place to spend their time until things were fixed."
