theme song:;
Flawless by Beyoncé ft. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
description:;
Danielle is a very confident and self-assured person. She believes that she can do anything she sets her mind to and will do anything she sets her mind to. Failure is felt hard and with aggression, which is why she never does anything she feels she could fail doing. Danielle truly believes in herself and her abilities and that she is truly an amazing, dare-she-say, flawless person. Sure, sometimes she’s a bit catty and opinionated. Sure, maybe she has an eruptive temper and a bit of a selfish streak in her. And sure, it could be said, that sometimes she can be bit domineering in her relationships, the very few she chooses to maintain. Of course, these traits only reinforce her belief that she knows who she is and what she wants. Danielle can’t help but be herself.

Danielle generally dresses in business wear. She’s not one for lounging clothes and, as a result, owns very few t-shirts. Typically she’s seen in pencil skirts, blouses, and some kind of high-heeled footwear. She brings her trench-style black raincoat with her everywhere and is never seen without a purse. Casual clothing isn’t much different for Danielle- she always dresses in ways that flatter her looks. She’s a feminine woman despite her upbringing and dresses to show off her womanly features.

Being slightly superstitious, Danielle carries a good luck charm with her everywhere she goes. Though perhaps not the trendiest item, her lucky charm is her favorite set of earrings. They are amber push-back earrings. She seldom takes them out. They are the only gift from her parents that she cherishes.

obsessions:;
Ever since she was shown it as a child, Danielle has been OBSESSED with make-up. A sleepover with some human girls introduced her to facials, nail polish, and eyeliner. Her parents were less than thrilled when a “cute” activity turned into a demand as a teenager. Nonetheless, Danielle loves her make-up and feeling pretty. She is also obsessed with Horoscopes, both Chinese and Astrological. She checks her horoscope every day, and though it doesn’t usually make a dent on her mood, there have been days where her horoscope warned against one thing or another, and she avoided said things.
background:;
Danielle was born and promptly abandoned somewhere in the United States. Her birth parents will always remain a mystery that Danielle has no interest in solving. Found by firefighters or whatever, she was relocated to various homes. Started in an orphanage and then cycled through foster homes, she was bounced around a lot as a child. She picked up a few tricks as she went about between homes, particularly languages, before finally being settled into a forever home in Montana. She was 10.
She never did fully fit in with her family. Initially settled some small mountain town, they were a very outdoorsy sort to live with. The town was small and limited in opportunities. Mostly, she remembers learning how to hunt, how to camp, and things of that like. She remembers them being way to into their community and being way too into what the neighbors were doing- who cared about the neighbors? Mostly though, she remembers learning quickly how traditional and strict they had a tendency of being. The town seemed to support this attitude. She truly hated living in there.
Her escape came when her father had to find a new place to work. Successful, they moved from one state to another and into a small suburb in Wisconsin. Danielle had her first ever girl’s night sleepover here and it changed her life. Already a stubborn, argumentative, and “difficult” child, she took to fighting her parents more on things she believed or simply wanted. If she wanted make-up but they felt it was too “much” for a child, they had screaming matches. Certain friends created tension. Boys all but set off a bomb in the house- that turned out to be a fight Danielle lost without much loss. She would rather have the means to get what she wants than a boy to follow her around. In fact, most of what Danielle recalls in her upbringing are shouting matches with her mother and father. Why did they adopt her? It's not like she was sweet as a foster.
Life was only made more difficult with the werebeast transformations. Her parents only barely didn’t find out about that. She shifted after a particularly terrible fight with them when she was about 15. She remembers storming out on them and then she was an animal. It was absolutely the most freeing and most powerful experience she had ever had! As soon as she shifted back, she set out to do research on what she was and how to achieve that again. She read up on all sorts of lore and went into the nearest wooded area to practice. The power she felt from being an animal and the addictiveness of being that unique went to her head. This was probably the most elated she had felt in her life. She knew, without a doubt, that nothing could possibly beat her down.
Except stabby-asshats. Well, that’s what she called him. She was 17 and had slipped out of the house to enjoy a night romp in the woods. She had just discovered (and mildly abused) a latent ability to go through physical things. Gone were the days of freezing at creaks will slipping out. (Gone, too, were the days of stealing via "oops it was in my purse! My bad.") She was savoring her evening when she heard a shot, a loud bang. Gunshots. She investigated, like an idiot, and nearly lost her head to some asshat with a big knife. She remember he slashed at her wereform and she booked it as fast as she could, however she could. He pursued. Her only saving grace had been shifting back and walking into the nearest building to hide the rest of the night. She retrieved her clothes the next morning and learned, from the library, about Hunters. She learned to practice only some caution, but has otherwise tried not to let this incident impede her joy. She has one residual scar from running into something sharp that night, running along her left calf. It was annoying covering that one up to her parents.
Danielle graduated high school and went to college, but never worried too much about work. She’d figured out she had language at the tip of her fingers and sold her “expert translating abilities” to anyone who would buy it. This became a good enough way of earning money, so she dropped out. Her parents weren’t exactly thrilled about this but she was happy and could do what she wanted. Danielle had long since moved from home at that point and was no longer subject to their demands. She began travelling. She never looked back.
Danielle now does the same work. She translates for those who will buy her skills and is never out of clients, long term and short. She lives out of a couple of suitcases and goes from job to job, place to place. She doesn’t know if she’ll settle down someday or not. She’s happy.
