Kage closed his eyes and prayed for peace from whatever god would be out there listening to his prays. He then opened his eyes and looked at the female and turned up the corner of his mouth in a half smile at her finally nodded.
"Alright then, Mr. Grumpy will be willing to take the young lady out for a meal." He said, and in a very gentlemanly offer, offered her his arm to take. She may or may not take it, he was not entirely sure. Either way it was still the polite thing to do so he did it. "Do you have a preference for food styles? I know almost all the good places around here to eat for whichever your palate would like. We will also need to swing by...somewhere...and allow me to change. This attire is unsuitable for dining in and would draw attention I would find most unwanted and inconvenient." Not to mention he was going to drop Sturmgeist off as well, so the little dragon wouldn't get in to anymore trouble as it already had. He didn't need to be returning half the jewels of whatever ladies where dining around them as tonight as well.

"Alright then, Mr. Grumpy will be willing to take the young lady out for a meal." this only made Gwen giggle. He had a sense of humor too. "Do you have a preference for food styles? I know almost all the good places around here to eat for whichever your palate would like. We will also need to swing by...somewhere...and allow me to change. This attire is unsuitable for dining in and would draw attention I would find most unwanted and inconvenient." if he knew what she truly wanted he may not be so quick to take her out to eat. The thought made Gwen Smile.
Taking his outstretched arm " Well I willing to try anything that you recommend Kage; I'm not very versed in Japanese cooking" she emphasized his name. Between her lack of travel to Japan and more so her minuscule interest in human food; Gwen had never really sampled a large amount of Japanese Dishes. Maybe a Japanese person her or there though. " I don't mind stopping by your place for you to change;just gives me more time with this little fellow" she said petting Sturmgeist. There were a couple other things Gwen wouldn't mind doing at his place either, but figured she'd save that for desert.
As they walked Gwen rested her head on Kage's shoulder next to Sturmgeist; she could feel the bulge of his bicep through the cloak and was very pleased by it. Maybe this trip wasn't an entire waste of her time after all.

Kage walked down the alley, arm in arm with Seraphina as they headed out of the allyway. He stepped out on to the street, and turning left began to lead the female down it. The street was mostly deserted by this time of night, with very few traveling upon it. It was the time where most people where securely enclosed in their established homes, or they traveled inside enclosed vehicles as if this made them feel safer for some reason that Kage was not entirely sure about.
He lead Seraphina to a old run down building, a place that was used by many members of the MÅ«nsasori used to store their stuff so they could quickly become incognito with in the city. There where many of these 'safe' houses hidden through this city, as well as almost every city in Japan and even a few major cities outside of Japan in other countries. He stopped, and put a hand upon her shoulder. "Wait here, please....my family would not like an intruder today or any day." Sturmgeist crawled off his shoulder and in to Seraphina's arms, and he stared at the dragon and sighed before deciding not to worry about it. He then stepped up to the door, and with drawing a key from his pocket he inserted it in to the door and turned it. Stepping inside he quickly closed the door and locked it again.
A few minutes later, Kage came back outside and turned to lock the door. He was dressed in regular civilian cloths now, with black cargo pants an a white tank top shirt with a long sleeve black shirt over the white tank top. The sleeves of the long sleeve black shirt where rolled up to just past his elbows, and both shirts where tucked in to his pants that where held up by a belt. He nodded, and smiled. "Alright then, let us get going to our destination."

The brisk evening air ran up Gwen's spine as they walked down the street towards Kage's place; which just made her snuggle in closer to him. Looking up at him Gwen noticed he was paying her no mind and seemed to be more concerned with their surroundings. It made her frown and make an adorably cute pouty face which he didn't see. He should worry about protecting her second and lavish her need for affection first.
They're quiet stroll had led them to a fairly small apartment complex; it wasn't very lavish or what Gwen was used to but then again, she'd been a princess since her birth and always got what she wanted. She was about to follow him in when placed a hand on her shoulder and said "Wait here, please....my family would not like an intruder today or any day." but before he could turn to leave Sturmgeist crawled off his shoulder and into her arms.
"At least you love me right little guy" she chimed and smiled at the little dragon, holding him like an infant child. She began to rub his belly and hum a lullaby to him, Gwen was no expert on dragons but the little guy seemed tired. If Ada could see her now; she'd probably die of hysteric laughter "Look at my baby sister playing mommy" ran through Gwen's mind. Gwen's thought were interrupted by the clicking sounds of the lock.
Kage had reemerged looking like a normal human being, the long black sleeve shirt he wore hugged his athletic figure very nicely. Gwen had to admit that he cleaned up nicely; she continued to rock Sturmgeist back and forth the young dragon had fallen asleep. "Where are we off to?"

Kage looked at the young dragonling in Seraphina's arms and slowly smiled, shaking his head at the ludicrous site of his dragon curled up in a female's arms fast asleep having it's belly rubbed. He stepped up beside her and contemplated the question for a moment, reaching up and rubbing his chin for moment. He then smiled and nodded. "I have an idea, come with me." He said, and set off. He would have offered his arm once more, however there was a small scaled reptilian in her arms occupying both her hands which would have made it exceptionally hard for her to hold his arm.
So instead he took her elbow and turned her down a street and began walking. He had a restaurant in mind, a exceptionally nice one that was not extravagant but the food was exceptional. Just before he rounded the corner to the restaurant, he reached out and touched Sturmgeist's head to awaken the dragonling and tsked softly. The dragon arched it's back, yawning then huffed softly before suddenly disappearing completely from sight. So he took her around the corner to the sushi bar, and with a flip of his wallet at the person standing at the door they where instantly rushed to a very nice seat right beside a babbling little waterfall which cascaded softly in to t a pool full of koi gracefully cruising around the small pool of water.
Sitting across from her, he pushed the menu away not needing it and simply settled his hazel eyes upon the woman seated across from him. He manipulated the silverware in to a perfect line, settled on top of the napkin and waited patiently for a waiter or waitress and watching Seraphina closely.

"I have an idea, come with me." Kage said showing a bit more enthusiasm than he'd shown the rest of the evening. It appeared that he was going to try grabbing for her arm again, but was stopped by the little bundle of joy in her arms. His perplexed look of what to do made Gwen giggle softly. He settled on grabbing her elbow and leading her back the direction they'd come.
They were just about to round a corner, when Kage stopped and awoke Sturmgeist. The dragon stretched and yawned after a gently tap to the head and, and with out any notice vanished with out a trace. The young dragons disappearance left Gwen feeling like she was missing something, but the moment was short lived as he whisked her into the nearby sushi bar. It'd seemed like they were just in the alley but were no sitting at a table with menus.
Gwen glanced at it; trying to find something appetizing, but nothing sounded particularly good. It also didn't help that she had no idea exactly what half of the menu said. Glancing up quickly Gwen noticed that Kage was watching her intently. It wasn't a creepy stare but one filled with intrigue. In an attempt to break the ice "You know if you take a picture it will last longer" she grinned at him "I'm sorry but i honestly have no idea what half of this menu say.

Kage smiled at the words Seraphina spoke and shook his head in amusement. He then reached out, taking her menu away from her and tucked it under his own away from them both. "Yes a picture would last longer. However that old adage, how is it you say it in English....A picture is worth a hundred words, is not entirely accurate. A picture can never fully capture the full beauty and power that the eyes can behold." He did not get the English adage right, but it was certainly very close and he was making an effort.
He contemplated her for a moment, then nodded. "Do you like sushi?" He asked is suddenly, as if it was a extension of the conversation he had just left, despite the seemingly randomness of the actual question itself. "If you do, then we will simply eat sushi and sashimi. If you do not like these, I can order you a pasta dish that is divine." He stated, motioned to a passing server with a hand gesture to indicate that they where indeed ready to order. He looked at Seraphina once more, waiting for her to inform him of her preferences so he could order appropriately for her.

He just smiled and shook his head at her. What was so funny? Feeling a little self conscious Gwen ran her finger through her hair quickly to make sure it wasn't a disaster. "Yes a picture would last longer. However that old adage, how is it you say it in English....A picture is worth a hundred words, is not entirely accurate. A picture can never fully capture the full beauty and power that the eyes can behold." this made Gwen smirked and replied trying to stifle a giggle " A Draconian and a poet, your a man of man talents. How has some lucky lady not taken you as her own?"
Their conversation progressed and eventually led back to food and Kage asked if she'd liked sushi. "If you do, then we will simply eat sushi and sashimi. If you do not like these, I can order you a pasta dish that is divine." he motioned for the server. " Honestly I've on ever had sushi in America; does that count?" she smiled shyly feeling slightly worried that she may have just insulted him. Gwen didn't know what it was about his man but it made her giddy; she had butterflies in her stomach, which hadn't happened in quiet some time. "I'm willing to try whatever you recommend though" she added hoping to salvage the situation.

Kage nodded, then when the waitress came over he spoke to her rapidly in Japanese clearly giving her some sort of order before turning away back to his 'date'. The Japanese girl let her eyes linger for a moment on the male, then threw what could only be a 'good looking white girl coming to steal all our good looking men' look at Seraphina before moving away quickly to put in Kage's order. Kage ignored the entire none verbal scene between the two ladies, simply crossing his hands in his lap and sitting there quietly for a moment. He then spoke, a little softly, but it was clearly meant for her.
"Oh, I suppose it sort of counts. Americanized version an all, but it is still more or less based upon true sushi, so I will not hold it against you." He said it almost in an upset manner, but his eyes where sparkling and his smile told her he was simply teasing her was all. "As to a lucky lady, no true Lady really would want anything to do with me after they learn more about me, so I simply choose to...how does the English word go..um...cuttail around a relationship situation." He had not gotten the word right, but that was alright he seemed pleased with his attempt at explaining why he was single and perfectly happy with that.

Gwen stared in wonder at the machine gun pace Kage was speaking;it all sounded like gibberish to her, but the waitress understood everything with perfect clarity. She now knew how everyone felt when she went off on one of her tirades, and the way the waitress was looking at her there might of been of those coming soon. The envious stare and snood nose turn were enough to get Gwen's blood boiling. She was going to confront the waitress until Kage pulled her back to reality "Oh, I suppose it sort of counts. Americanized version an all, but it is still more or less based upon true sushi, so I will not hold it against you." he smiled at her. Drawing her back in with his dazzling eyes.
"As to a lucky lady, no true Lady really would want anything to do with me after they learn more about me, so I simply choose to...how does the English word go..um...cuttail around a relationship situation." this made Gwen wonder more about this man; what would make anyone want to distance themselves from him. If only he knew the unspeakable horrors that Gwen had seen and personally inflicted on others. She wasn't to familiar with what he trying to say but she under stood the gist of it.
"I believe your people have a saying, a man has three faces; one he shows to the world ; the second he shows to his friends and family; and the final face he shows no one. that is the face who reflects our truest selves. DO you believe that?"
Post by Kage Jaeger on Sept 26, 2015 14:50:10 GMT -5
Kage picked a fork, grimacing a little as he twirled the silver eating utensil between his fingers absently. He finally sighed, and set the fork back down upon the table before speaking. "I believe that most people have three faces, yes. However I only have two."
He simply left it at that, not really wishing to speak further about it with somebody he, as of yet, did not know all that well. He supposed it was his training, to reveal nothing about himself and his past while trying to get everything he could. However, he was thinking about that and wonder...was that truly the best way? He would have to think about it more at a later date. For now he had somebody before him, interesting enough to spend a little bit of time and energy on.
"So tell me, what brings you to Japan Seraphina? Your clearly not a wandering tourist, because no tourist would be caught just wandering around in that beautiful of a dress. Maybe going to a dance or date perhaps, but not simply wearing it all over with some strange she picked up off the streets. So what are you here for?" He asked it nicely, simply attempting to learn about the female sitting across from himself.

Twirling a fork, Kage contemplated the question. It wasn't something simple like what's your favorite color and Gwen didn't mean for it to be; she wanted to know how this man saw the world in front of him. Gwen patiently waited for his answer resting her elbow on the table, and chin resting in the palm of her hand. Ada would've scolded her for appearing so unlady like. "I believe that most people have three faces, yes. However I only have two." he replied with a sigh. Gwen wanted to know what he meant by that, but she felt that might be probing to deep, to soon.
Reversing the tables on her Kage spoke "So tell me, what brings you to Japan Seraphina? Your clearly not a wandering tourist, because no tourist would be caught just wandering around in that beautiful of a dress. Maybe going to a dance or date perhaps, but not simply wearing it all over with some strange she picked up off the streets. So what are you here for?" he definitely was observant and it was strange hearing her full name and not shuttering. The way he said it just made it sound right.
"Well I am actually in town on business; I had a dinner scheduled earlier this evening when my associate rudely canceled on me. Just luckily for me someones adorable little dragonling happened to be hiding under my table" she said with a teasing tone "and what exactly were you doing in an alley wearing a dark cloak this evening?" she parried back. Their conversation continued on, but Gwen just couldn't let his answer to her first question go. Unintentionally twirling her hair Gwen looked Kage deep in the eyes " You don't have to answer if you don't want to.... and i know we just met. But what did you mean that you only have two faces?"
Post by Kage Jaeger on Sept 26, 2015 23:51:04 GMT -5
He nodded slowly, listening to herself and smiling. However his smiling again vanished like the shadows with the rising of the dawn and he did not really know how to answer that. He finally settled upon a version of the truth, that simply excluded the reality of the situation.
"I was also on business, I had to meet somebody and inform that that there business practices where unsatisfactory and if that it happened again we would be unable to do business with this individual again." He did not mention the fact that they would be unable to do business with the individual because that individual would be dead and disposed of. He grimaced at her continual prying in to his other answer though, something he was already regretting saying.
"I have only two faces...one everybody sees, and who I truly am. It is as simple as that..." He stated it firmly, informing her through his tone of voice that that was the end of that conversation. The waitress came back, setting a pot of hot tea between them and the scent of almonds wafted from the pot before she babbled in Japanese quickly. Her hands where moving frantically and Kage's frown furrowed further in to irritation as the girl became flustered and her face turned red and she moved away.

It appeared that Gwen wasn't the only one at the table who dealt in darker business transactions; simply based upon Kage's lack of specifics and general description of what he was doing. It intrigues her even more. The answer to her second question made her regret asking it though. "I have only two faces...one everybody sees, and who I truly am. It is as simple as that..." Gwen remembered a time when she could've answered the in the same way; it was the early nineteen twenties and Ada and her weren't exactly seeing eye to eye. After several months with out speaking to her sister Gwen began to drown her loneliness in blood. Sure she had "friends" but they couldn't sill the hole where Ada belonged.
She looked across at the man across from her; behind the Aura of confidence and dazzling eyes was someone who lacked a families warmth. Their table was filled with an air of silence neither seeming to want to say anything. Luckily the the waitress came by to with a fresh pot of tea, and her poor attempt at flirting only seemed to worsen Kage's mood. "Great going Gwen; you managed to ruin the first interesting date you've had in seventy five years" Slowly reaching across the table, avoiding the scalding pot of tea, Gwen placed her hand on Kage's. She looked at him trying to convey that everything would be alright " That little Dragon is your family..."

Kage blinked, looking at the female across him then pulled his hand away from her own that was grasping his. He then reached out, placing a single finger against her lips. His other hands disappeared in to his pocket, staying there a second before he brought it out and grabbed a napkin and began using it in a strange manner. Pulling his finger from her lips, he quickly reached across and sat the napkin before her. Written in his own blooded from nick upon his finger was a single word, glaring upon the starch white background of the napkin.
DANGER
He nodded the way the waitress had come, a smile coming back to his lips as if nothing was wrong at all and he was over the fact that the waitress had upset him. He then reach back down and took her head as if they where truly intimate, and stood. He lifted her head, stepping close and reaching over to grasp the back of her seat which he pulled out with her sitting upon it just slightly to help her stand to her feet. "How about we skip dinner, and just head for desert?" He asked playfully, but his hazel eyes where hard and firm showing he was being very serious and not playful in any way.
