"So, do we have a deal?" Marcus leaned on the back of his chair again. He folded his arms and stared at the dog-man in front of him. The Anubis was staring back, no longer tensed by the daemon's gun.
"Yeah," the dog answered back. "You keep your end and I'll keep mine. And if you don't-"
"Yeah, yeah," Marcus interrupted. "I know what you'll do to me. I'll keep my end of the deal."
"Good. Then, I'll be going." The Anubis began walking to the door until Marcus called to him again.
"Hang on a minute," he said to the dog. "You forgot about the girl."
The dog laughed in his face. "If you don't care about her, we don't need her. You want me to stop attacking her, go save her." The dog laughed some more before he left the room and closed the door behind. Marcus raced after him in hopes that he could make a new deal involving the girl's life, but the dog was gone when Marcus looked through the halls. He had completely disappeared.
Marcus would have to think on that later as his main focus was on getting to the girl. He collected hit bags then ran out the hotel, leaving the keys at the door. When he came into the outside world he jumped in the air. His jump lifted him above the extremely tall hotel. When he reached his peak, Marcus fell onto the hotel's roof. Without so much as a second thought, Marcus jumped again, lifting himself past four buildings. He did this again and again until he finally reached Night's location. He landed himself right onto of the gas station's roof just to notice a certain girl make use of a cop's vehicle.
Well... Marcus thought to himself as he watched Night run over a few surely dead, if they weren't dead before, people. This won't bode well...The daemon hopped more buildings until he was right above Night's head. The girl was doing good with her driving so far, but it was evident that she had never driven before. However, if she got into a car crash, while in a stolen policemen's car, jail would definitely be her new home.
Before she could cause anymore damage, Marcus sent a last bit of his magic through the car. He struggled a little bit with controlling it, but soon enough he was able to life it in the air, negating Night's influence on it. Marcus made the car fly above all the buildings until it floated near where he stood. He was nearly out of breath, and his nose was starting to bleed. He couldn't wait until this long day was over.
When Night was able to hear him and see him, Marcus stared at her blankly and asked, "Having fun?"

Nyght was just driving, as fast as she could as safely as she could with out wrecking. She was not doing half back and was even driving upon the right side of the road, which was totally the left side. She only swerved occasionally over the line, however was always quick to rectify that mistake with a jerk of the wheel. She had put quite a good distance between herself and the gas station, and was just about to begin to slow down and stop the vehicle when suddenly she felt a gut falling sensation. Having felt it before she knew exactly what it was, and she screamed. The car was lifting off the ground, and she was certainly not doing it! There was nobody in sight, and Ghost was far away back at his hotel.
She jerked the wheel from side to side, although it was useless and spun freely with out moving the vehicle at at all in any direction. She also slammed on the gas harder, out of a reflex to get away from what was happening but that also did not achieve any results. She then slammed on the breaks, and the wheels stopped spinning beneath the vehicle. She stared out of the windshield as no other then Ghost appeared there. She narrowed her eyes, gritting her teeth. She let her foot of the break and revved the motor as if she was threatening to run him down, although it was obvious she would not be able to do so. She grumbled, glaring at him in irritation instead of full anger. He had scared the shit out of her again, in the same day, with the same trick. The jerk was so.....UGH!! She could not even think of a term off the top of her head that quickly to place as an adjective for him and she decided she did not want to.

The way Night reacted to the pick up was shameful, and also very hilarious. She squirmed in her seat until she finally realized that she had no control. When she saw Marcus, she grumbled and glared at him like he was some police officer that ruined her fun. That was even more entertaining to see. "I'll take that as a yes," he said, just to make her a little more angry. Marcus discovered that it was enjoyable to see her squirm and driven to anger. It made this entire day of fuckery a worth while.
It was very unfortunate, though, when the moment was ruined by actual police officers. Their sirens were flaring in every direction, probably causing a panic to the citizens. Marcus thought of what would possibly happen if a police car that belonged to a dead cop was discovered in their hands. Would the officers let them off with a warning? If Night told them that she was escaping a horde of zombies, would they believe her? No, there was no such thing as a warning with the type of offense that they committed. There was no true story to tell to get them out of this situation. Everyone would probably see them as delusional individuals spouting horrible conspiracies if they mentioned the zombies. So, most likely the only way out of this was to discard the car for a new one and get the hell out of this city. That seemed like a smart idea since it kept their trail from the law enforcements almost cold.
With his thoughts decided on a good plan, Marcus folded his arms and raised his brow to Night. She did exceptionally well in surviving on her own, but now it was time for Marcus to take the wheel and fix what was destroyed. "Will you glare at me until I lose control and let you fall, or will you move over so I can drive?"

Nyght rolled her eyes, glaring at the male outside of the vehicle. She had heard the sirens as well and knew that they where in a deep load of bollocks. She grunted, shaking her head and glared at him once more for his sarcastic and derogatory tone, but quickly moved over in to the passenger seat. She grabbed what had been sliding around on the floor board in the passenger seat and lifted it up. It was none other then a pump action shotgun, though she did not know anything about guns or their types. She picked it up, accidentally aiming the 'business' end towards the driver's seat where Ghost was about to settle down as she was examining the weapon.
She was curious, and have never used a firearm in her life, but she wondered if now would be a good time to attempt to do so. After all, she was sorta running outta juice with all the attacks and spells she was having to cast. Having something in back up might be useful or come in handy for the next time they ran in to something that wanted to kill them. Especially seeing as that happened to be about every hour or so right about now. She wanted to see if it was fully loaded, but was not sure how to go about doing so. Perhaps she should just cock it, like they did on the books and stuff all the time and then she could just keep doing that until all the bullets came out and she could count them that way. So she did exactly that, and began to rack the gun as the large red bullets popped out on to the floor and a few in to her lap after rebounding off the dashboard. When no more came out of the gun, she began to pick them all up and count them. There where eight shells that where in her lap now and she grinned.
"Check it out, I got a new toy!" She grinned, waving the gun. That made her wonder what might be in the back of the car in the trunk. Maybe there was something else back there, something more useful. Well, she wondered what she could possibly use. She had not ever used a gun before so she wondered if she could even hope to hit anything.

Even after Marcus' words, Night gave no back remark to him. Maybe that was because he had a tight hold on a floating exploding machine that she was inside. In all honesty, Marcus would not harm the girl, but it didn't hurt to strike a little fear into her. Although, fear wasn't what she expressed. It was more like anger and annoyance. The daemon wanted to slap her just to see another look on her face, but he wasn't going to harm her.
When she moved to the passenger seat, Marcus hopped onto the side of the car. His left hand and foot was firmly attached to the hood of the car and the backseat door of the car. He opened the driver seat door to look inside, and was very surprised to see a shotgun pointed dead at him. "Careful, girly. Don't point that weapon everywhere," he said to her. He didn't wait for her to move the gun away when he sat in the driver seat. He simply guided the point of the gun from his head to the front window and allowed Night to count her shells. When she finished, she seemed excited to have a shotgun in her hands. The daemon grimaced at this. "Not a toy," he corrected her. "A machine that can save lives and end lives. Be careful of how you use it."
Marcus gently guided the vehicle down to an empty street. When they landed, the daemon drove the cop car until they were out of this town. The sun had settled on a horizon when they finally stopped driving. They were next to a new town by then. Marcus forced Night out of the car when they were close, then destroyed the car, setting it ablaze to cover their tracks. He did this in a secluded area, meaning that they had to walk more than a mile to get to the new town and a motel. While Marcus walked, he became curious about the girl, who she really was, and how she even got into Egypt if she was from France. It wasn't like him to pry others, but it wouldn't hurt to know a little about her since he was stuck with her. "So," he started, wondering which question he would ask first. "What exactly are you? Race wise. You have magical powers, so you're not human. You can control electricity, so i would call you an electric elemental. Am I right?"
Nyght cocked the shotgun, practicing the movement so she could use the gun properly. When the shell ejected out, she grabbed it up and shoved it back inside the shotgun and grinned. She smirked at Ghost, realizing that he was uncomfortable with her holding a weapon. She caught on to that feeling from him, and loved that fact from him. He needed to know she was more then capable of taking care of herself as well as anybody else. While he drove, she remained silent and simply clutched the weapon she had acquired, staring out the window. However when he made her leave the care, she glared at him as she hopped out and watched him destroy the car. She sorta understood the necessity of it, though it did not make her any happier about the fact she had to walk even more after such a long exhausting day.
Ghost began to ask her questions, probe her for not who she was, but what she really was. She frowned, shotgun slung over one shoulder and glared at him not in an angry manner. Instead this glare was a genuinely confused question, and she did not fully understand what the man was attempting to ask her. "A what? Elemental? Electrical? I have no idea what you are talking about. As far as I am aware, I am just a human girl with the ability to cast spells and who excels in her use of electrical abilities." She huffed, eyebrows furrowing as she gazed at him. She was human, was she not? She was not some sort of mutant, or supernatural being. She had no wings sprouting from her shoulder blades, nor horns or a halo floating about her head. She certainly was not anything extremely weird with feathers or claws or anything else. What in the world else could she be?
"Since your probing with me all sorts of strange questions...what in the hell are you? Some sort of winged mutation?" She was being rude again, but this time it was not purely intention, she was genuinely confused and because of that confusion she was being defensive and rude to cover up that confusion and her in ability to understand what was going on or where this strange conversation had suddenly turned.

Marcus laughed at this girl's answer. He was surprised to hear that she did not know what she was, nor the real power which she held, but knew how to hone that power for her own benefits. She was basically an animal that did not know its name but knew that it's fangs and claws could kill. Marcus found hilarity within this, and it made him laugh even if it seemed rude.
"Human beings can't use electrical abilities," was Marcus' words to her.
Night then went on to ask him what he was. She asked in an awfully rude way, but Marcus had just got done laughing at her, so he didn't mind. He took a moment to think of a good answer for her, because anything he said could probably be turned against him later. Finally, Marcus said to Night, "No, don't throw logic and science into this. We aren't a mutation, anymore at least, and we aren't regular human beings.
"I belong to a race known as daemons. That's right, I'm a biblical creature that everyone hates. Although, I don't posses people. I wish I did, but I'm mostly flesh and bone like you." Marcus opened his hand to reveal an army knife. With as much strength as he had left, he sent magic into his knife, making it float above his palm. "You probably already know this, but what we hold inside of us isn't just a mutation. It's magic. What I am using right now, is magic. Almost every creature can use it. So far, the only ones that can't are humans. That's why you can't be a human, since you hold magical abilities."
Carefully, Marcus lowered the knife into his palm and hid it back in his clothing. He looked towards the town ahead and nearly cringed at the distance. Maybe he had destroyed the car too soon. If only he had done it just further ahead, this long walk would have been a short one. At least he had a girl willing to learn more about herself to keep him company. Maybe their conversation could fill in the distance and keep him form dying of boredom.
Nyght watched as Ghost spoke to her, stating she was not human and that she had to be some sort of supernatural being. She frowned, shaking her head because she honestly had no idea WHAT supernatural being she could possibly be. After all, she had been born to two human parents (as far as she was aware) and was not able to do anything naturally with out uttering a spell of some kind or another. Although she seemed to have a natural affinity towards her electrical spell, that could simply be explained by the fact it was her first spell she ever learned but she had also learned it at an exceptionally young age. That could explain why she reverted back to it so quickly, and used it more then anything else. It was simply the best one she knew, and was also the most useful in and of itself.
Ghost spoke of demons, such as those from the bible, whatever that was, and that he could not but wished that he could possess people. She was slightly, secretly, glad he was not able to do any such thing because if he could she had a feeling he would do it to her with out even a second thought about it. She contemplated that though for a moment, then shrugged her shoulders and watched as he levitated a knife he had produced from his cloths somewhere. She found that interesting, and wondered about learning how to do that possibly later.
"I don't know what a demon is, however all I know is that as far as I am aware I am a human being. I was born to two human parents, and that I don't have...wings...or other strange body parts that would make me none human at all. So you can say what you want, but I am a human and will stay that way for now. Even if I am not human...how would that even be? Both of my parents where human beings, and neither where any type of supernatural being that they ever showed to me. Especially my mother, who though that my electrical ability made me some sort of devil or witch."

"As far as I am aware I am a human being," she said. "I was born to two human parents, and that I don't have...wings...or other strange body parts that would make me none human at all. So you can say what you want, but I am a human and will stay that way for now. Even if I am not human..."
Was she denying what she really was? After witnessing a walking and talking dog, sleeping next to a man with dark wings, nearly dying to zombies, and blasting acid out of her fingers, she still denied anything Marcus told her? It was kinda hilarious, in a sense. She was most likely being stubborn, but the possible reason behind it made Marcus want to laugh. Was it fear that made her keep hold of her humanity? Or, was it something entirely different? If only Marcus could rattle around in her brain to see what she was thinking, then maybe he could get along with her better.
"How would that even be?" She asked next. "Both of my parents where human beings, and neither where any type of supernatural being that they ever showed to me. Especially my mother, who though that my electrical ability made me some sort of devil or witch."
Marcus cringed at the thought of explaining to her that. If she didn't accept not being human, then she definitely wouldn't accept how she's not human."Well, if you are an Elemental, then you are technically half human." Marcus decided to explain the simple fact first. "Elementals are just beings with half human genes and half supernatural genes. It's a long story, but basically a human had sex with a natural element and elementals were born. If you want the details, I can give them to you.
"As far as your parents..." Marcus sighed. "There could be three possible truths to their past. One, your father could have been a supernatural being and kept it a secret; two, your father could have been a supernatural being and not know he was a supernatural being, it happens; and three, your mother could not really be your mother. Think about either one of those and decide for yourself which is more believable."

She didn't want anymore information about the specific sexual and breeding activities that created other beings. That was way to much information as it was and was making her uncomfortable with the thought of sex. However when he moved on to the possibilities of her none human nature, she contemplated it seriously. The left side of her lips scrunched sideways towards her right, pulling her nose slightly in to a cute contemplative thought face and she pondered the possibilities of what he had said. It could be possible, really any three of those. Her father was not exactly the most forth coming of people, and kept his secrets from her and her mother both. Perhaps he was some sort of...magical user as well. Some sort of, what was it he had called them, elementals? She suppose it the end it did not really matter what she was.
"I guess it is possible, and clear I am not human if what you say about humans not having any sort of magical powers. However what I am is still a secret I guess, because I honestly do not know. Maybe I am an electrical elemental, but if I was would I need to say a spell to use that ability? Should not it just come naturally and easily? Should just be a part of me, and I should be able to control it naturally and easily should I not?"

"That's hard to explain," Marcus scrunched his nose contemplatively. "I suppose if you are a good enough 'magician,' then yes it will come naturally. I had a lot of practice with controlling metal, and now I can do it as easily as thinking. However.. It still uses a lot of... Hmm... Mana.
"You can think of magic spells as a key. Each supernatural being has the potential to learn every magical ability known, but awakening that potential could require years of hard work and studying. Or, you could summon that potential through troubling situations where you desperately need something to save you. Since other magical beings did not want to put forth the effort, or go through the horrible trauma, they created spells to unlock that potential. Surprisingly, the spells actually worked. If you want an example, look at the way you learned to shoot acid."
Marcus stopped walking about two miles away from the city. The sun settled long ago, and the moon was slowly rising to take its place. They were so close to the city, but it still looked so far away from where they were. Finally, Marcus couldn't take anymore walking and decided to rest a little. "Let's stop here," he said to Night. He walked further away from the road and towards a giant rock down a hill. He took off his jacket to let his wings spread a little, and leaned against the boulder.
If Night followed without argument, he would continue his lesson on the supernaturals with her. "Now, if we are talking about electrical elementals, then yes it is supposed to come naturally. All supernatural beings have a magical ability that comes naturally to them." Marcus pointed at himself. "For daemons its the ability to fly and the ability to create an area where all living things feel fear." As if to set an example, Marcus released a small aura of fear around Night. When he saw that she was aware of this sudden fear, he would stop. "For mermaids, its the ability to sing a wonderful tune that enchants everyone; for shapeshifters, its the ability to shift into anything they want; and for Sasquatches, it's the ability to turn invisible. Yes, Sasquatches are real.
Elementals can naturally control the elements. If you have to control an element by spells... Well... That doesn't mean that you are not an elemental, it just means that you can naturally control a different element and you aren't aware of that yet. If you are an elemental, then you'll know which type you are when you use your natural abilities. It will be so easy as breathing, and will not exhaust you at all. It'll be the easiest ability you could ever control." Marcus sighed and looked towards the stars. It was a beautiful sight he beheld, something he definitely would not see once he got to the town.

When Marcus stopped walking, deciding to stop moving she supposed she should as well. Rest was important after all, especially as she really didn't have anything to support herself with. Well...now she had a shotgun though she wondered if she would really be any good at all with it. She supposed the time to find out would come eventually, though she hoped she didn't endanger her own life or anybody else's in the process of finding out. When Ghost leaned against the boulder, she moved up and sat down upon the ground, crossing her legs and contemplating what it was he was saying. So she wasn't a human, and she was not even really a witch? She found that fairly distrubing and depressing. She kind of liked the idea of being a witch actually, though she had to admit the idea of others like herself was sort of comforting as well. Perhaps some or none of them had even been through what she had been through.
As he continued to speak, she listened intently and learned about things she never knew existed. Mermaids, sasquatches, elementals who could control certain elements...all of these where real as well as daemons. She supposed that meant angels where real as well then, though she had never meet one before. Of course she had never meant any of the creatures he was speaking about before. When he spoke about daemons, and showed her their power she shivered, but now knew that it wasn't really her own fear but that which was being induced with in herself. "So...you are obviously a daemon. Suppose I should have guess that, with your attittude and all. I totally thought you where just some sort of stuck up angel." She grinned, looking at him and winking to show she was not being serious. Well, at least she was not being ENTIRELY serious.

The girl listened to Marcus intently, or he thought she did. In all honesty, the daemon couldn't tell what she was thinking half the time because she always kept that dumb look on her face. Marcus knew that she was a bright young girl, but it seemed to him that when she stared at him silently, she became incredibly retarded. It was like she was 'dig your buggers out and eat them' retarded. Maybe that was just Marcus' opinion of her because he wasn't quite fond of her, or maybe that was the truth. It was probably just his opinion, because all French women held that same dumb look to him.
When it appeared that she had fully comprehended what Marcus said, she showed her new understanding by making a small joke about Marcus. Really, it was a nice joke, and it made Marcus smile. This was probably the second time Marcus smiled today, the first being when he watched the girl's reaction as she flew in the air with a car (now that was a priceless reaction).
"Hey. Before, I thought you were just some bitchy wealthy girl. We all make mistakes." Marcus gave her the same grin Night gave him. For a second, Marcus thought that they were having a moment... It was too bad that it had to be ruined.
A new car was driving up the road Marcus and Night walked on. As soon as Marcus saw the car, his wings extended into the air. His right hand went towards the car, and it began to soar just as all the other cars Marcus controlled did. The car landed right next to the rock Marcus and Night rested on. The landing was a little bumpy, but the passenger was safe, for now.
The daemon walked up to the car, dark wings still spread wide. His eyes searched for the passenger, coming across a Caucasian female who seemed almost American. If she could understand English and speak it, then Marcus would count this moment as his luckiest.
"Hi there," Marcus said when the woman finally noticed him. "Do you believe in demons?"
After two minutes of explaining to the driver that Marcus was a demon raised from hell to do the devil's bidding, he finally got to the good part where he threatened her life if she didn't do what he wanted. The woman tried to escape , of course, but it was very hard since Marcus had control of the entire car. He was trying to be a good guy this time and not harm the driver, but people never really listened to a man with black wings, now did they? Finally, after her third attempt at putting pedal to the metal and running Marcus over, the daemon reached inside the car with a syringe and drugged her. There was a little resistance at first, but she came around in the end (they always come around in the end). The drug made her sleepy, weak, and after four minutes of trying to fight the medicine, she fell asleep.
Marcus lightly placed the woman on the ground. After he did that, he advised Night to get in the car. If she did what he asked, then Marcus would drive off in another stolen car. That was the third grand theft auto he committed today. Hopefully, that would be the last.

Nyght grunted, watching as Marcus acquired the yet another car for them. She raised her eyebrow, watching as tried to persuade her to give up the vehicle. That was rather rude, but then he at least did a nice piece and simply drugged the person and laid them out to sleep instead of killing that. That at least was worthy of noting, that the man didn't kill the person even though he very well could have. She shook her head in amusement at the whole situation, then quickly climbed in to the passenger seat of there car. She slipped her shotgun in to the back, propped up so it was pointing safely upwards and away from both of them just in case the weapon magically (or not so magically) went off.
She settled in to the seat, slowly pulling her seat belt across herself and clicking it in to place. She muttered under her breath, making fun of a commercial she saw once. "Buckle up for safety..." Then she went to stare out the window, contemplating the sky and the stars that where popping out above them. Star where so pretty, she had always wondered if they where really nothing more then balls of gas burning in space or maybe...something more. "You think star are actually stars? Like...think they are really just giant balls of gas, burning for thousands of years? Or perhaps they are really something else, maybe something we can not understand?" She was babbling, talking nonsense really.

"Hmm?" Marcus said to the girl's questions. He had never been the one to be interested in stars, or the world outside of where he lives, so he had no idea of how to answer her question. The only thing he could say was; "I have no idea... But I think I know one thing- you need your rest. You're speaking nonsense."
The car that Marcus stole had seat warmers. The daemon hurriedly turned them on, then lowered the temperature in the car. He was willing to do anything to keep this girl form babbling the entire ride, so he made sure the environment was very enticing enough for her to fall asleep. It was probably getting around her bedtime, anyways; but Marcus had just one question that he was really curious about, and he hoped she could answer.
"Why are you homeless, Night? Obviously, you have some sense of an education and you don't smell of drugs either, so I don't think any natural cause of homelessness is your reason, save running away." Marcus remembered the girl telling him something once, most definitely last night, but that seemed so long ago that he barely remembered. And while she was like this now, it seemed like the perfect time to get some clarification on her past without her questioning him back.
