Nyght groaned, reaching up and placing her face in to the palm of her hand and shaking her head. How exactly did Jack expect her to come up with some sort of vehicle when she was completely broke, did not know anybody, and thus how was she suppose to get a vehicle of any kind and in the right way? What did Jack expect her to do, sell her body for sexual favors to borrow a car? She sighed then looked up at Jack and rolled her eyes.
"What EXACTLY is it you think I am going to go do? Sleep with some guy in order to borrow his car? Give him a blowjob? I do not have money, I have nothing of value to even offer as a hold back so they could hold on to it while I borrowed their vehicle. What do you expect me to do? Dress in drag and do a hula upon the streets to earn some money?"
She grumbled, looking at Jack and sighed yet again. "Fine, why do we not simply go steal one of those military vehicles? Those are suppose to be really big and powerful and sturdy. Plus, it is the military. They always have surplus and can spare things."

The young man shrugged. "I dunno. I mean, if your blowjobs are really that good then I guess it would probably work. But I wasn't suggesting you sell yourself. Not that I tend to judge people who do, mind you. Everyone needs to make their way somehow."
Jack hadn't really thought about what Nyght could do to get the vehicle, though the idea of her getting a car through granting sexual favors to some random guy certainly hadn't crossed his mind. And, the young man had to admit to himself, he didn't like the thought of it. It made Jack a bit more uncomfortable than he would've thought.
"I mean, I just sort of assumed that if you objected so harshly to stealing one from some random person that you must've had a better idea." He said this innocently enough, tilting his head slightly to the side.
Nyght finally seemed to relent, saying they should just steal one of the military vehicles. It would be a tad trickier than just pulling some guy out of his car at an intersection but at least it got the disturbingly sexual images of Nyght out of the young man's head.
"Cool! Let's do that, then. Now we just have to figure out how to drive off of the base with a stolen military vehicle."

Nyght shrugged her shoulders. She had not thought that far ahead, but she had at least gotten Jack to agree with her plan which made her feel slightly better. She contemplated the option, and a slow grin began to slide across her lips spreading them wide. She actually began to chuckle softly to herself and nodded.
"Hey Jack...do you remember when we ran after Aela and I did that whole little trick with the trash can lid? Well... I have an interesting idea to try out. Come on, lets get back over to the military base and I will fill you in!"
She took of walking quickly, back along the way they had come. Making her way through the snowy streets, she finally came to the edge of the military base where the fence was. She looked around, standing upon the side walk and nodded not seeing anybody. Then she began to shuffle along the side walk, dragging her feet through the snow looking for something. She grunted, her socks getting a little wet at the tops but quickly found what she was looking for and dropped down and swept of the circular metal covering of a sewage opening. Standing up she shoved her freezing hands in to her pockets.
"Alright...so yea. I am going to try and use this thing. You, you lucky bastard, can teleport however you want. I am going to use this thing and fly in to the base and cause a distraction. Probably just chuck this thing somewhere where it will cause a lot of ruckus but only a little damage and hopefully not hurt anybody. Then we can hope in the truck, and drive away with it while nobody is look!"
She said the last part with a big smile and happiness, as if this was some amazingly great plan that she had spent forever making up and crafting instead of the thirty seconds it had taken her to come up.

The young man winced slightly at the memory, recalling the collision. "Yeah. If I remember correctly that didn't go too well. You and Aela nearly had to go to the hospital, as I recall." Jack scratched his head, wondering what Nyght could possibly have in mind. He hoped it didn't have anything to do with crashing face first into a brick wall like last time...
"Um, Nyght? Are you gay?" The young man suddenly found the ground very interesting. He couldn't take his eyes off of it.
Jack followed Nyght, somehow managing to resist the urge to ask any questions about the plan. She had said it would be revealed to him eventually. For now he was content knowing that he didn't need to know yet.
He just stood there for a few moments, brow furrowed, after Nyght told him the plan. "That is the silliest most craziest plan ever. Let's do it!" Jack exclaimed, smiling. It would totally work. They were definitely not going to get shot or captured and tortured for attempting to steal military stuff. Not even a little bit.

Nyght grinned, glad that Jack liked her idea. She wriggled her hands in her pockets, getting them warm again then pulled out her hand and nodded. She rubbed her palms together and focused her sight upon the metal slab before them. She concentrated hard, her lips moving slowly as she worked the spell with both her mind and her hands moving slowly over the metal plate.
"Ferrum Levare..."
The metal plate began to shift in the small slot that held it, rattling around as if something beneath it was trying to lift the object. Suddenly it leap in to the air, raising several feet off the ground. Nyght grinned, looked at it and laughed. It had worked pretty well, and now all she had to do was keep her concentration upon it for the most part. She guided the plate back down to the ground, and stepped up upon it. It wobbled under her weight for a moment, then she steadied it with her mind and looked at Jack with a wide grin.
"Oh yea...I am totally flying!" She said with a laugh. She concentrated on the metallic plate, and it began to levitate upwards off the ground and glide forward over the fence much to her amusement.

"Just try not to get mistaken for a flying saucer. The last thing we need is the papers and internet in an uproar over sighting an unidentified flying object. K?"
Jack just rolled his eyes at Nyght's childish display but he couldn't help but smile slightly. It did look really fun. But it was about time to get going. The young man really did just want to get this whole military base infiltration thing over with. Preferably without getting shot or captured and tortured. Either of those things would really just ruin his day.
"Alright. Imma get going. I'll try and find some keys for a truck then I'll wait by it. I'll start the engine once I hear the distraction and you just hurry up and get to me before we both get found out." Jack paused for a second before continuing, looking at the ground as he said the last part. "And, uh, try not to get shot. Ok? See you in a few!" With that, Jack was gone. Teleported inside the base.
It didn't take him very long to find the keys. After that Jack found the truck they matched and he climbed into the driver's seat and huddled down to wait for Nyght's distraction so he could make off with the vehicle.
Nyght laughed at Jack's joke, but that maybe her concentration faltered and the disk wobbled for a moment. She knelt down, grabbing the edge of the flying disc and flew forward like that, guiding the object forward at a faster then a running speeding. She felt comfortable with this speed, and any faster made her feel ever so slightly queasy in her stomach. So she simply refrain from going any faster for. She weaved around the building, grinning in exhilaration as the wind whipped through her hair. She was looking around, looking for a spot to perform her little diversionary tactic.
She finally found a spot where there where a bunch of barrels stack up against some sort of warehouse. She decided that this would be perfect. She could fling this disc in to the barrels, causing them to fall and crash all over the place. That would create a lot of noise, but very little damage and nobody would get hurt. Plus they could always label it as some sort of freak accident. She lowered herself towards the ground, and stepped off her flying discus. She then flung her hand out, directing the disc to flying through the air towards the stack of barrels with incredible force. She did not even wait to see what happened, and was already running away from the place. She did not want to be here where when the military people came running.
She heard the smashing and crashing behind her as the flying disc slammed in to the stuff behind her, sending barrels flying and crashing all over the place. However what she did not know was that the barrels where NOT empty, but filled with oil and gas. As they rolled around, the steel barrels struck the ground and sparked creating a massive fireball explosion behind Nyght. She skidded to a halt, looking around with wide eyes. She swore under her breath, then kept running and saw the vehicle Jack was in. Jerking the door open, she jump inside.
"Shit! Go! Go go go!!"

The young man was thinking about dragons when he heard the loud cacophony of sound coming from somewhere else on the base, followed by a rather impressive explosion. What the hell... Must be Nyght's 'distraction', Jack thought to himself, chuckling as he sat up in the vehicle and started the engine. Now all that was left to do was wait for Nyght to arrive. A few moments later, the young woman was in the vehicle shouting for him go.
"Seatbelts, please!" Jack said cheerfully as he slammed the car in gear and took off, deftly weaving about to avoid any obstacles. He was so skillful in his maneuvers that one probably wouldn't even notice his lack of professional training. The young man had never actually been issued a driver's license and the number of times he'd been behind the wheel could probably have been counted on one hand. Not that anyone would ever be able to tell.
A short while later they came to a stop, having made a clean getaway from the military base.
"That wasn't so hard," The young man said, turning the engine off as he did so. "We didn't even take any gunfire. I dare say they won't even have noticed the cars gone just yet."

Nyght sat up quickly in her seat, jamming her seating harness (these damn military vehicles using a seat harness instead of a seat belt) around herself and clicking it in to place. Then she closed her eyes and simply grimaced all the way until the vehicle rolled to a stop, and jack spoke with amusement and turned the engine off. She slowly cracked her eyes open, and began looking around. She raised her head a bit and looked behind them, then exhaled a long draw out breath she had not even realized she had been holding.
"Wow....can not believe that actually worked. I thought we where either going to be riddled full of lead, or die from that horrible driving." She looked at Jack, then broke in to a grin and punched his shoulder. "Just kidding...that was good driving. I can not believe what I did though....I did not mean to blow something up. Totally thought those barrels where empty."
She grimaced again, then unfastened her seatbelt and opened the door. Jumping out to land upon the ground, she looked around and sighed. They needed to hurry up and begin laying out their trap to capture one of these akhult, then take it further up the shore and lure the others there.
"Jack, the chains?" She asked, moving around the back of the vehicle and opening it up with only a little difficulty as she had never operated this sort of vehicle before. Once Jack got the chains, the last thing they needed was bait. A horse preferably, seeing as they creatures had just attacked one and apparently liked the taste.

"Horrible driving?" Jack echoed, a hurt expression on his face. He happened to think his driving was pretty darn good. Especially considering he lacked formal training and had virtually no experience. Well, unless playing grand theft auto counts. Although he was constantly crashing into things when he played that. Cars, buildings, signs, people. The video game, too.
"Uh huh. You 'totally' thought they were empty." The young man said, rolling his eyes and smiling. "Welp, it all turned out for the best though, didn't it? Probably didn't hurt anyone. I'll go grab those chains now."
Jack hopped out of the vehicle and took a couple steps away. He then teleported to a store he'd been to a couple weeks past. It took him a few seconds but he eventually found chains with the desired length and thickness. He teleported back with a small pile, dropped it on the ground, and returned for more. Jack did this until he felt they had enough.
"Look about right?" He asked, panting slightly. From the physical effort of carrying the chains more than from the magical exertion all the teleported had caused.

Nyght watched Jack move away and teleport off. When he reappeared and dropped the chains on the ground, she grinned and grabbed them. She struggled them in to the back of the vehicle they had absconded with and continued dropping them in to the vehicle as Jack brought them. When Jack finally grabbed the last one, and appeared before her she chuckled and nodded.
"Yea, I think they will be enough. Hell, might even be enough for two depending upon how we used them. Anyways, I think that will be plenty and we should get going. It is going to get dark soon, and we do not want to be out on the ice in the dark. It will get cold and fast, as well those thing may or may not decide we look like a tasty snack while attempting to set up our trap."
She walked around the other side of the vehicle again and jumped up in to the passenger seat. She settled back in, buckling herself in to the vehicle and wiping a bit of sweat from her brow from the slight work out they had just performed to get all the chains necessary in to the back of their vehicle. She definitely needed to start working out some more. She would probably start doing that after this so she was not so weak.

"Oh? Scared of the dark are we?" Jack said teasingly with a small laugh. Darkness was nothing to him. No beastie draped in shadow could hide before his keen eyes. The young man's nightvision was uncanny in it's excellence. He was as comfortable in pitch darkness as he was in bright sunlight.
Jack climbed into the driver's seat, starting the engine. He exhaled as he began driving, finally having gotten his breath back from the exertion he'd performed minutes ago.
"I think I need to lay off the cheeseburgers." The young man looked down at his stomach, imagining he could see the beginings of fat forming. "Probably shouldn't have designated strength as my dump stat," He joked. This was in reference to how in dungeons and dragons players who chose wizard as their class would usually, when assigning scores for their abilities, put as few points into strength as they possibly could since they had little to no use for the stat. Of course, not everyone was as big a nerd as Jack so it was possible she might not get it.

Nyght looked over at Jack, furrowing her eyebrows and shaking her head. She did not get what he was talking about. She then shrugged and glanced out the window. "No idea what your talking about, besides I am not afraid of the dark either. I know your joking, but I am serious. It can get extremely cold up here after dark, and I do not think it would be wise for use to be out in that." She went quite for a little bit, watching the scenery going past outside for a moment as they headed out of the town.
"So we are going to get out there, lay the chains out and come back for the horse right?" She wanted to have her mind wrapped around their plan, so that she did not screw anything up on accident by not understanding what she was doing. She wanted to get things right, and make Jack proud of her. Why did she care what Jack thought of her? She really was not sure...but suddenly something he asked popped in to her mind and she began to giggle. Soon she had burst out laughing loudly and doubled over in her fit of hysterical laughter.

"Ya know. Dungeons and dragons?" The young man said, searching Nyght's face for some hint of recognition. He gaped. "You've never played like the best most iconic pen and paper roleplaying game ever? It's, like, the grandfather of every role playing game ever!" Jack couldn't believe it. Youngsters these days! They had no respect for the classics.
"That is the plan we decided on, I b'lieve." Jack said, eyes on the road. A short while later Nyght broke down laughing. He looked at her with concern, wondering if she'd lost it or something. The young man's face flushed. Was she laughing at him? Did he have something on his face or something?
"W-what?" He asked, suddenly feeling very self conscious of himself. Jack briefly glanced at the mirror, half expecting to see that he'd somehow come to be painted up like a clown or a spider was crawling on his chin.
Nyght wiped away tears from her eyes because she was laughing to hard. She finally managed to stop laughing, sitting up and breathing heavily holding her chest. She looked at Jack and shook her head, grinning. She didn't know exactly which to answer first, so she went with his first question.
"Well, let us see. No, I do not know what dungeons and dragons is. I do not even know what role play is. I never had that amount of time to devote to something, and being poor and homeless sort of limited my options. Along with that, my Father did not want me to waste my time learning about those things, and instead wanted me to focus upon my magical training."
She stopped, glancing out the front window and giggled again softly, but managed to control herself and not break down laughing. "As to laughing, no there is nothing wrong with your face. I just remembered that question you asked earlier. When we where walking over before I explained our plan to get this vehicle. You asked me if I was gay? I am ASSUMING you do not mean the true use of the word, which would be happy, and you mean homosexual. So, the answer is: sort of. I am attracted to personality above all else, and that can be found in both females and males. Physical looks matter only a little bit, because I want my companion to be physically fit and able to take care of themselves. I do not want to spend my whole life dotting over a sickly lover. Other then that, male or female does not matter to me."
She stopped talking and looked past Jack outside his window. She suddenly reached over and grabbed his arm. "JACK! STOP!" She screamed, as something leaped out of the increase dusk outside and slammed in to the side of the vehicle beside Jack. A massive head smashed through the glass of the window, sending sparkling shards all over the cabin and suddenly there where snapping jaws and flashing teeth in the cabin with them, right beside Jack as several more shadows appeared and charged towards the vehicle.
Nyght screamed again, but this time she threw her left hand up and shoved it against the nose of the creature partially inside their vehicle. A massive electrical current surged through her, leaving through her hand and electrocuting the creature right through the cold wet nose pressed against her hand. The creature howled and jerked itself back, head leaving the window as the vehicle tipped precariously upward, Jack's side of the vehicle lifting towards the sky before it slammed back towards the ground.
