It was a beautiful sunset to be in Paris, but the city wasn't exactly as glamorous as Westerners liked to rave like. The smells of the hot and muggy location had settled, and it was excitingly cold out. Melony wore her black leather jacked and scarves, and took the time to braid her hair in a waterfall fashion.
She sat by the windows, at a booth. She saw a few waitresses lounging around, and it angered her. She cleared her throat loudly. None of took notice. She cleared her throat, loudly, once more. They gaped at her, and the waitress was the first to bust her ass trying to take her order.
"Oh no, you don't want to be too fast," Melony remarked in a cold and sarcastic tone. She looked flushed, but asked her for her order nevertheless, without remark. "Please, I want the grilled potatoes and beef," she said in a raspy French.

Nyght was sitting on the bus, reading the letter in her hand yet again. She had gotten this only about two weeks ago, after she had sort of settled down to live with Aela in America. Now she was reading it over and over again, wondering how exactly she was going to handle this information. Her sister, whom she had never meet before in her life....was sick. Or at least she had been. This letter did not say anything about what had happened, or how anything had turned out. Only that her sister, who had the same last name as she did, was in the hospital for leukemia.
Nyght had never meet her sister before. She knew she had one, but after her father dragged her out of the house and to a different country before, apparently her mom had gotten pregnant by somebody and had another daughter. Nyght had never gotten to meet her, as her mother would never even speak to her or let her come visit and her father certainly would of never taken her. So, here she was...making a trip half way around the world to meet a sister she had never meet before who may or may not be sick still, and she simply knew nothing about.
She got off the bus at the correct stop, and walked over to a pay phone. She slowly lifted the receiver out of the cradle, and wincing slightly dropped some changed in to the machine. Her fingers shook as she punched in numerals in to the machine, then sat their waiting for the answer. She had been given her sister's cellphone number after several exceptionally annoying conversations with the hospital staff. Nyght had gotten here off an airplane, then took a cab to the hospital only to find out her sister was no longer there. After several arguments, the staff finally and grudgingly procured her the cellphone number left that they could contact Melony Rose Lafeyette at, and so here Nyght was. She was close to her mother's address, though knew better to knock on the door, listening to the ringing of the pay phone against her ear as she waited in trepidation for her sister to pick up and speak to the sister she had never know, and may or may not even know exists.

The waitresses had filled her order, and Melony sat in boredom waiting on her food. Mum's expecting me home in another hour...oh come on, hurry up! Damn this restaurant!
She was tying the napkins in several shapes while she waited, as a sort of messy and childish entertainment. But she felt her phone vibrating in her pocket. Damn it, that's probably mum now...
She gazed out the window by her booth, too look at the lights, before saying "Hello?"
"Who is this?" she asked the stranger. Another horny classmate? she pondered to herself. "This is Melony, how can I help you?" she said in an exasperated tone.

Nyght swallowed hard, listening to the female voice upon the end of the other end of the phone she was holding. Her hand was shaking something fierce, and she almost dropped the phone from her hand. Her other hand was clutching at the counter where a phonebook should have been sitting, but there was nothing there anymore. That was her SISTER on the other side of this phone! Her honest, to goodness, flesh and blood sister. Somebody she had never meet before, and yet they where suppose to have a closer connection than anybody upon the planet. She shivered, then finally spoke softly in to the phone, to the person she had never known and hoped they would get to know.
"Ummm...uhhh... Hi Melony. This is Morgan. I...uh...got this letter telling me that you where in the hospital and by the time I finally got there you where out. They gave me your number, and I was...um...well wondering if I could come see you."
She started mentally berating herself instantaneously. That was the worst introduction she thought she had ever given. She was just SO nervous about this meeting, about finally getting to meet her sister, somebody who could possibly help her and see eye to eye with her on the things she needed a friend to see. She wanted things to work out between the two of them, so that they could become the best of friends that sister's should be. She simply hoped she had not screwed that up already with her stupid introduction and seemingly crazy talk.\

Melony waited for what might have been hours, but was relatively a couple of seconds.
And on the other line was her sister...her sister Morgan, whom she had never met, but heard little about.
She forced a stone down her throat. "Sick...uh..." Was there a way she could respond. "Where the hell have you been all my life?" she finally blurted out, and after that, she followed our with a giddy laugh. "Is this really you? Morgan! Oh god...words can't describe how happy I am! Mum would never talk about you, wouldn't ever let me travel to see you! Quick, tell me where you are, I'll jump a car!" she sung in an excited voice.
After so many years, Melony has finally heard from her sister. She finally has heard that sweet, flowing voice that sounds so much like her own. Her sister is suppose to be her other half, her trusted confidant, and she was never there. But now, that's a chance the change things!

Nyght blinked, smiling as she heard her sister's voice over the phone and sighed happily. Her sister did not hate her, nor did she despise her for having never spoken to her before. Instead her sister was ready to jump in the car and drive over and meet her. That made Nyght happy, a feeling of deep warmth and content swelling inside her chest that she had not felt for a very long time. She looked around for a moment.
"Uhhh....hang on....I am....I am over by the grocery store on the corner of Page and Turner."
She nodded, hearing her sister's words and sighed. Mum never talked about her? Well that was not a surprise. Mum had slammed the door in Nyght's face when Nyght had needed her the most and left Nyght to be homeless upon the streets. Before that Mum had shunned her when Dad had taken her away, never calling or asking about her. Not after Mum had found out that she was not completely human, that she could do magic. Ever since that moment, Mum had more or less treated Nyght like she was nothing and nobody. It was not a surprise at all that Nyght had not been spoken about then, and it made Nyght wonder as she waited for her long lost sister what her sister was going to be like and what lies dearest Mummy had filled her head with about herself.
