Most of the group was slowly beginning to warm up to each other and begin talking. The snake woman and the orc, even the faun excitedly joined in once the woman revealed her true form to the orc. They were speaking in the Nysan language she didn't understand, but Eve was used to quiet and quite enjoyed it. The only one that couldn't understand the language was the male that was the first to greet her when she first arrived. It appeared he was bored.
Eve was about to try and make some conversation with the young man. It would be the polite thing to do. But was beat to it by the Orc named Mogoza. She asked him a question as if she was trying to get him to be part of their group too, which Eve was glad for it. The Vampyre walked along with the group in silence.

Stilia felt pride swell in her chest. She usually wasn’t one to feel boastful about her appearance, she was not a vain creature. However, it was rare to hear such compliments about her natural serpentine form. Plus, Mozoga had already complimented her intellect, which stroked her ego a little more. But Stilia let none of her emotions come through her words. She always preferred her calm demeanor. Although part of her only kept up such appearances due to the illusion of greater intelligence words can give someone.
“On Earth, the species of the humans are the majority, and all others have faded into myth hundreds of years ago. If we were to reveal ourselves, there would be panic.” Stilia paused for a moment, before adding on: “Plus it is much easier to walk steps with legs.”
The faun rushed over in excitement at her form. Stilia smiled slightly. She was exotic and foreign here, but not in a way that would frighten humans. Although being a Gorgon tended to surprise even supernaturals on her home planet, they had at least heard of her kind. Here, she was new.
“Gorgon.” She answered in English. There was no Nysan word for her kind. She switched over to Nysan for the rest. “The snakes are independent, separate beings. No, I cannot see from their eyes, and they do as they wish, but I hold a certain level of communication with them. When I change, they are still living, but unable to take action. They truly hate it.”
Stilia’s eyes glanced over to Jackson and the woman. Mozoga was trying to include her fellow councilmember in the discussion, but Stilia wasn’t sure what to say to him. She knew him, but not well. She doubted he considered her anything other then an ally under Varos. As for the woman, Stilia wondered if she spoke English well. She and Mozoga had been speaking English, after all, and nothing was said. But the woman had seemed to understand it so far.
Her green eyes then turned to the moon, lowering on the horizon. “Morning will be here in a few hours, and for whatever reason, Flow wishes for us to travel by night. We should start searching for a safe place to camp.”

Uh oh. Someone was trying to talk to him. Jack scratched his chin, thinking. He didn't want to be rude but he did kind of want to be left alone. It was the strangest thing. Normally, the young man would be trying to talk to everyone and get them to tell each other more about themselves but right now he kind've just wanted to get along with the quest he'd stumbled into and wasn't interested in being friends or becoming a part of the group. It was a foreign feeling for Jack.
"I am what I appear to be," Was all the young man told her, shrugging as he did so. Then Jack looked away and put his hands in his pockets, hoping she'd leave him alone now that he'd answered her question. He didn't particularly want anything to do with the orc, or the faun who seemed to be fawning over Stilia, or anyone really. Jack wondered what the source of these unusually antisocial feelings might be. Oh well, he supposed it didn't really matter.
Mozoga frowned as Stilia explained why she hid what she was. Earth did not sound like the same place she had left, but then again how long ago had that been? She was not even really fully sure anymore. It seemed the place had changed, but she had been so young when she had last been there perhaps she just did not remember it the way it really was. That seemed like a more appropriate way of thinking about it. She supposed that was probably the case, she had just been to young.
She chuckled softly when Pak suddenly jumped in, peppering Stilia with questions in a rapid fire manner. She found that amusing slightly, but also slightly rude. Stilia did not seem to mind, however, and answered his questions. Mozoga was distracted by the male whom she had attempted to pull in to the group by calling to and questioning. His answer was curt, and fairly cold and it hurt Mozoga a little that he was so rude when she had only been attempting to be nice to him. She decided to leave it alone though, and instead looked at the other female who was also being quiet.
"What are you, ma'am? Are you human ash well, or are you something elshe?"
Stilia made a really good point. It was about to reach sunrise, and Mozoga looked around contemplating. She knew they had several choices of where to camp. It was fairly safe here, however large open spaces could be roamed by karsraks, where as the woods where dangerous because of the possibility of Silent Death. She looked between them and sighed deeply.
"We should camp near the treesh, but not inshide them. Dangeroush beastsh live there that are hsilent, deadly, and very efficent killersh. Shleeping we would be eashy prey for such monshtersh."
Jack didn't seem like he was in the mood to talk, and gave Mogoza a quick answer before looking away from her. It seemed a little rude, but it made Eve glad she wasn't being too rude by not trying to talk to him earlier. Mogoza looked a little hurt by his response and shrugged it off. Instead the Orc looked to her instead.
Morning was indeed already coming, she noticed before Stilia announced it. Mogoza looked to Eve now as she still tried to make conversation and asked what she was. Eve smiled to the Orc to attempt to be a little more welcoming than Jack was to her, and figured now was as good a time as any to let the group know.
"I'm afraid that only travelling by night is my fault." Eve finally spoke up. "I am a Vampyre." Her eyes were on Mogoza, but she was speaking loud enough for the group to hear. She wondered if any of the others would be more weary of her.. not that it mattered to Eve. "I would appreciate it if we could rest somewhere where no light can reach me."

Mozoga was a kind soul, despite her relatively brutish exterior. Stilia hadn’t really expected orcs, who were so tall, strong, and fierce, to be trying their hardest to make small-talk and befriend people. The small talk lead to some revelations, and it turned out that the woman was a Vampyre.
That posed a number of complications. Stilia paused to take her backpack off, observing the material that had been given to them to make shelter with. She hoped it was thick enough to block out all the sunlight.
“We should all share a single shelter, but we should try to keep it small and unnoticeable. Any spare material can be laid over the Vampyre to help protect her from the sunlight if the material is too thin… Unfortunately if it comes to that, you will have an unpleasantly warm sleep. But better then burning alive.”
Stilia pulled out the material and went over to the tree, and was almost certainly joined by the others as they set up a makeshift camp.

The young man scratched his chin and glanced around at their surroundings. He wasn't used to sleeping outside. In fact, Jack wasn't entirely sure that he'd ever done such a thing before. He'd never needed to. But here he was, away from home. Stranded in the wilderness with a bunch of strangers. He sighed, hoping this quest would be over soon so he could go home.
It was revealed that the other woman, the one who wasn't Stilia, was a vampire. That explained why they needed to only travel during the night. Anyways, that was about the only bit Jack managed to pick up, since he wasn't paying attention to the others. The young man's mind was on other stuff, as it wandered about, bored. Every so often Jack would shovel a handful of sugary candy into his mouth though he was fairly lackluster about it, not really craving sugar just then like he usually was.
As Stilia began setting up the camp, the young man joined her and helped as best he could.
Mozoga frowned heavily. So Eve was a vamprye... Orcs where descendant from vampryes a long long time ago, and although Mozoga herself was a pure blood orc, born from two orc parents, she still found it interesting to be in the presence of somebody who although would not be her ancestor, her species was. Mozoga disliked vampryes, but not as individuals, it was more of a species things in general. She might get along with Eve, she may not. It was just a matter of seeing what the other was like.
When Stilia began to set up a tent, Mozoga let her and Jack work upon that while stepping to the edge of the woods. She began to gather wood for a fire, grabbing large handfuls and armloads, even hauling half a fallen and dead tree back in herself with one hand. After having gathered the wood, she drew out her axe/hammer and began to hack the wood in to pieces, creating two piles of wood. One consisted of small pieces all the length of her arm, from the thickness of pencils to entire sections of tree trunks. The second pile where longer branches, much longer about six feet long of a mostly consistent size.
Having finished cutting wood, she walked over to Stilia and tapped her shoulder to get her attention. She motioned back at the larger pile of wood, grunting softly.
"Although it goesh againsht my better judgement...I cut wood with which we could build a shelter over the tent sho leshsh shun getsh in."
Mozoga looked over at Eve for a second, then decided to leave it alone for now. She would talk to the blood sucker later, for now they had a camp to finish setting up. She wanted to let Stilia and the male finish setting up the tent, then work together to build a shelter over it to make there be less sunlight inside to help protect their sunlight baned friend. The shelter was not meant for being sturdy, but to just help block the light. Make it more comfortable inside for everybody instead of trying to roast them alive in the hot sun.
Most of the group didn't seem to care that she was a Vampyre, all but one. Eve knew this because she used one of her abilities to read the Orc's mind briefly. Her expression didn't really hide the fact either. She didn't get a sense that the Orc would be dangerous though, so she left it alone for now.
The Vampyre began helping set up camp with the rest of the group. It wasn't something she normally had to do, but through the years she had learned how to build a proper shelter that would keep her out from the sunlight. "This should work just fine. Thank you." Eve said to the group as she nodded in satisfaction. It wasn't luxurious but it would get the job done. It was finished in time before the sun came up, and Eve tried to make herself comfortable safely inside the shelter. She only wished there was a little more room.

The group set up shifts, and the day proceeded without any incident. The tent worked well enough, the sunlight could not peak through. The material was incredibly well made. Stilia had the sneaking suspicion that Flow had had these woven just for the vampyre. The next night and day also went by without any troubles.
The forest was filled with life. Stilia had seen the glowing eyes of a Kutille occasionally watching them, and at one point the group had accidently awoken some Rahbops, however the birds had decided to simply flee. There wasn’t too much danger of Fungal Hounds or Griffcloves, as they were creatures of the day, and the Fungal Hounds hadn’t decided to eat them in their tent. They were a large group, which likely scared the creatures off.
The real danger was the Kasraks and the Silent Deaths. If the Kasraks attacked, it would certainly be a bloody battle, but if the Silent Deaths found them, they were doomed. They had kept to the trees as much as possible to avoid Kasraks, whom couldn’t get to their full potential if not in an open field, but this was no longer an option. The trees were gone, with only a random sprout here and there.
“There will be no more cover until we near the tundra. Everyone must be on high alert, these next few days are certainly the most dangerous.”

Ten spent most of the days they stopped to rest awake. Awake and supremely bored. He talked practically never. Only when he had to and even then as little as he possibly could. So all the young man had was his cell and some electronic books he'd downloaded on it at some point to keep him busy when he wasn't on watch or whatever. But Jack couldn't read while he walked. So that sucked. Unfortunately, the battery died before long and he was bored all the time instead of just some of the time. There were animals and stuff but he didn't particularly care for them. Nothing seemed too dangerous for them to handle and so far there hadn't been any incidents. At one point, they reached an area with less cover. Stilia warned them to be on high alert and a bored Ten paid attention in his own way.
Mozoga did everything she could for the group, whether it was translating between those who spoke English and did not or set up camps. She took watches and cut firewood for them whenever they needed it. She was trying really hard, and yet not everybody seemed to be getting along well still. It really upset her, she wanted them all to get along. Stilia seemed to be the easiest to get along with, that woman had a good head upon her shoulders and kept it that way. The vamprye female seemed alright, but slightly with drawn, and their lone male tag along seemed completely and obstinately determined to remain aloof from them all. Sure he did his share of work, helping out and all but he absolutely refused to engage in activities other then the basic necessities with the rest of the team. It really annoyed Mozoga, but she supposed it was none of her business.
She tried her best to explained all the animals as they meet them to those who did not know. She would know them pretty well, seeing as she hunted them usually for meat for herself and to sell to the small shops around her home so other's could eat as well. She explained how rahbops changed their camouflage plants on themselves to suit their environment to blend in, and tried to give them all bits of information as they went. It was nice having people to travel with for once, especially ones who did not seem to mind that she towered over them and was...well...perhaps not the best looking creature around.
When they stopped again, Mozoga looked around and frowned. She did not like that they where in such open country with kasracks hunting these lands. It was dangerous, and it made her nervous and irritable but she tried her best not take her infamous orc temper out upon the others because of her. It was not their fault she was nervous, and they simply did not have much of a choice otherwise about camping out more in the open. What would they do if kasracks did attack? Eva would be trappe inside a tent during the day time, and a single slash from a kasrack's claws would rip the tent to shreds and kill their vamprye companion. Mozoga fingered her weapon, hoping nothing like that would happen. She may not like vamprye's in general as a species because of what they had done, but she did not hate them on an individual basis and was trying her best to get along with Eve.

It seemed the threat of Kasracks in the plains was too much for the faun, and he decided to leave, and return home. Stilia sighed, but said nothing. The plains could be quite dangerous. If he did not feel confident in even crossing them, who knows how he'd act if they were attacked.
"A tent might be too obvious," Stilia mused, as she regarded the plains. "It would stick up and possibly attract attention. I'm unsure of exactly how intelligent Kasracks are, but it might be better to not set up. We could lay in the grass, it looks long enough to hide our bodies. We'd have to still carefully cover Eve though."
She put her hand on her whip, and began walking. There was nothing else she could do. However, the plains were still beautiful. Completely untouched, the long grass swayed in the wind and went on for miles. She couldn't see the end. She took out a compass, and chose a path.

Jack was careful to ration what candy he'd brought with him once he'd realized that he wouldn't be able to go and get more anytime soon. It was starting to drive him a little crazy. Sure, he had regular food so he wasn't going hungry or anything. But he wanted candy. That was all he wanted to eat and he felt like he was starving without it. The odd handful every now and then just wasn't enough. But the prospect of having to go without any at all seemed the less desirable outcome. Anyways, Stilia said something tents and danger and stuff and the young man nodded along, trying not to think about anything at all. Time seemed to pass more quickly for him that way. It was pretty boring and he was pretty bored. But they were making progress. So that was nice. The journey had to end eventually.
Mozoga was disappointed to find that everybody had seemed to leave them already. Apparently Nysa was to rough for most Eartheners who led soft lives of plus and comfort all the time and did not have the fortitude to finish this quest. Mozoga was no softie though, and she was going to see this through until the end. For land, for goddess, and for herself. No matter what happened!
She doubted that a pitched tent would actually attract the attention of any kasracks, they where not intelligent enough to put things together like tents meant things living inside that would mean food. They hunted more by sight and smell, and as long as they did not see them entering the tent, and they somehow hid their scent then the kasracks would never bother them. Yet Mozoga knew that she was not the brains of this operation, instead she was the brawn. The strength to help defend the others and back them up should they need it. So she did not question Stilia and let her continue to lead them while Mozoga kept a careful eye out for the predators of Nysa that might try to attack them. A kasrack, or even a few of them where actually the least of her concerns.
