Jack was in the process of wandering around bored, completely uninterested in the goings on around him, when some random stranger approached him and asked if he wasn't having fun, though the question seemed more of a statement than an inquiry. The young man felt accosted and, if he wasn't such a naturally nice and polite guy, he might've simply ignored him. But he was bored and figure it wouldn't be too much trouble to politely disengage from the individual.
"Not at the moment, no. But if you'll excuse me, I was in the middle of something and I've really got to finish. Cheers," Jack responded politely before continuing on his way, hoping he wouldn't be confronted by any more strangers who seemed to think whether or not he was having fun happened to be any of their business. The young man intended to forget about him almost immediately, assuming he wouldn't pursue things further.

Did Diaskedasi just get excused by a mortal?
Doing something? Doing what?! All he was doing was walking around! So, not only was he excusing a god, he was lying to a god as well! That was inexcusable!
Immediately, Diaskedasi began following right beside this young man. If he wasn't going to have fun, then neither would Dias! "Not at the moment? Does that mean that you will soon? And here I was hoping that I found someone to relate to." Dias sighed. "This type of party isn't my forte either. No matter what anyone says, you can't have fun with someone until you see their actual appearance." The demi-god chuckled. "So, why exactly aren't you having fun? I mean, there are people, there is food and wine, and I'm sure there are a couple women that may enjoy a young man's presence, wink, wink." The demi-god chuckled again, this time with a bellow.

An unknown amount of time passed, it almost felt as if there was no time in the room. There were no clocks nor windows, and people’s phones and watches had vanished alongside their clothes. However, the music took a pause, and the song ended.
A beautiful woman walked up on the stage, and a hushed silence came over the room as all turned their eyes on her. She would appear to all as what they believed was the most beautiful face in the world. And, like the gypsy, she had deep purple fabric draped around her, but in the form of a beautiful dress. She was decked out in jewels, but all of these were real.
“Welcome, welcome everybody.” The hypnotizing voice easily carried across the room, and a round of applause erupted to greet her. “Thank you all for coming to my soiree. It’s been absolutely magnificent.”
She laughed lightly to herself, flashing a smile to the crowd. “Of course, it would not be a Valentine’s Day party, if there was no love in the air. So, it is time, time to play with the red strings of fate.”
She lifted her hands, and threads appeared everywhere, linked to everyone. She began weaving them, tying them randomly. Sudden feelings were erupting in people’s chests, as they fell in love with strangers. Of course, all this would only last the night, but to them it felt like their love was eternal.
Lillibeth was to fall in love with Ilya and Velkan, while Ilya was to fall in love with Velkan. Velkan would fall for Beth, while Beth would fall for Jack and Lilibeth. And Jack would fall for Ilya.
In mere moments, Ilya's solitary dancing became all too dizzying, the tight, black silks of her dress constricting her chest, her lungs in the most sudden of feelings; she hadn't felt it before, love, so it hadn't registered in her mind and heart what exactly it was -- but as far as she knew, it was triggered by a gentleman partaking in the dance with another. It was strange, standing in the middle of this cryptic ballroom, dazed and still, staring Velkan down as if he were some being of glowing amity. 'Love at first sight' for someone so unaccustomed to the sensation made the spell all the more extraordinary.
Comprehending that Ilya was frozen amidst festivities, she moved to the outskirts of the dancing without her eyes ever leaving the sight of the captivating stranger. She would purposefully braid through the ever-moving crowd like a startled child, hoping she would even for a flash of a moment make eye-contact with Velkan. The unforeseen infatuation was ludicrous and a cured, curse-less Ilya would find it especially so -- but love blinded her, and Velkan was all she saw in a chamber full of the masked unknown.

"I do not want to be human - I want to be myself. They think I am a lion, that I will chase them. I will not deny I have lions in me. I am the monster in the wood. I have wonders in my house of sugar. I have parts of myself I do not yet understand."

Lilly, in typical Lilly fashion, was mortified. The moment she realized that her hoodie and shorts were just gone, replaced by a much more revealing dress. She did her best to not hyperventilate as she tightened her mask and glanced about the room, finding a less populated corner and mentally backtracking to get a handle on exactly when she had been drugged.
It couldn't have been when she was still in her apartment, and she hadn't eaten anything much other than a packet of instant noodles before going to the festival. That left some caramel corn and funnel cakes, and given the option she was guessing the funnel cakes. The red-eyed 'chef' who she bought the things off of looked like he was high on at least three different things when he handed off the pastries, and on hindsight Lilly wouldn't be surprised to learn that he was lacing the 'powdered sugar' with something a little less innocent.
Yeah, the funnel cakes. That had to be it.
Her thoughts collected, Lilly took a moment to take inventory of her new costume. So far it looked like her only saving graces were that she had taken a hacksaw and some files to her horns a week or two ago, which hurt like a motherfucker by the way, and that her wings were already wrapped around her body under the hoodie she had been wearing. Having a built-in two piece corset that doubled as a means to fly was great. It was fantastic. Until someone put her in a dress, where it could potentially be obvious that the things wrapped around her body weren't actually articles of clothing.
Luckily, her dress was dark enough to disguise her wings well enough. It was a little purple thing which managed to hug her pretty tightly, and managed to show off her legs a little. Her legs which, it seemed, were capped by a small set of heels. So instead of just being chased out of town for being a creature right out of the depraved depths of hell, she ran the risk of breaking a heel and then breaking her neck. It was lovely. Really.
There wasn't much time to ponder over the matter, however, as a quite stunning woman decided to take center-stage. Her words carried and supported by the Archangels and angelic choirs themselves, her features more perfect than God's design could be or ever could have been.
It was no wonder the exact meaning of what the woman said passed right over Lilly's head, as enraptured as the succubus was. That being given, it was a very heavy shock to her system when Lilly's eyes flittered across a woman in a black dress weaving her way through the crowd.
She was nearly as captivating as the first woman, and the man she was walking towards caused Lilly's heart to skip another beat. They were both so perfectly imperfect, so... amazing! And she could feel the adoration coming off of them in waves. In fact, she could feel the whole room fill to the brim with an inescapable sense of adoration, with lust, with a curious sense of curiosity and powerful love.
The nearest waiter was kind enough to pull Lilly out of her magically induced stupor, her face developing a deep blush as she grabbed a flute of wine from the man's tray. A few sips later, and she was doing her damnedest to think of a way to get out of the room. The body heat and moisture was bad enough already without the numbing haze of emotional overload, and the succubus knew that unless an escape presented itself she was experiencing her final moments of rational thought. Needing the emotions and feelings of others to survive was well and good, but too much of a good thing always has some adverse effect or other.
For Lillibeth, that thing happened to be a rough approximation of getting drunk enough to feel no pain, but unfortunately not enough to black out. And the mental hangover afterwards always left her sincerely pondering over living the rest of her natural life as a hermit.
Unfortunately, it didn't seem like any means of escape was readily apparent. As the last of her treasured rational thought began fading, the only question remaining was whether or not drawing out the extremes in everyone was worth it.
Fuck it, might as well. What good was being a creature of lust when you couldn't cause a little emotional frenzy to feed on every so often?
Heels were never as easy to wear as when Lilly was off her rocker, and within moments she found herself running a finger down the lines of ink marking Ilya's arm. "Your tats are fantastic, show me where you got them done?" Lilly found herself saying, quickly following it up by leaning in and purring "Quite the catch, isn't he? Mmmm, shame hes already talking with someone. Let's go make sure he locks the door with the right person in the room, shall we? Just make sure you give me all the juicy details when we're out getting inked up later."

She smiled as he brought her hand up to his mask, making an attempt to kiss it. "Velkan. That's a very unique name. I like it." Though she was enjoying time with her new acquaintance, she didn't like that he had almost the same exact explanation on how he got to this place. Bethany decided she wasn't amused. Someone had somehow gotten all of these people here without knowing how. What kind of magic was this? "You aren't concerned?" This place didnt seem evil, but looks could be deceiving and there had to be a purpose to bring them to this place to begin with.
Almost perfect timing, the most beautiful woman she had ever seen entered the room, perhaps she was the source of whatever magic had brought them here. Bethany looked away from Velkan to the one causing all of this to happen. Maybe now they'd get some answers. But there were no answers, it seemed the woman only confused her more.
Bethany hadn't actually seen either one of her true loves yet, but she knew Velkan wasn't one of them. She turned back to look at him and smiled. "All that about love in the air scares me, so I think I'm going to try to find the exit. It was nice meeting you Velkan." Of course Beth wouldn't actually make it to the exit before seeing the love of her life.

Velkan was not confused, because although he had never experience it before he knew that the gods and goddesses performed all sorts of miracles and magic and this was surely one of them. He was about to tell Bethany so, when suddenly somebody appeared on stage. He looked at the female on the stage, thinking her strangely and unearthly beautiful and began to wonder if this was indeed whichever goddess (as it appeared she was a she) who had brought them all together. The goddess spoke, and Velkan could FEEL the magic in the air around them that was being weaved and manipulated.
He looked at Bethany, and his heart suddenly hurt. He wanted her and not just in some lustful, sexual, predatory way. He suddenly wanted to be with her everyday for the rest of his life, to protect her and cherish her. To dot upon her well being and come home everyday to see that she was there and alright. She suddenly meant the entire WORLD to him, and yet he suddenly found himself choked up from all these feelings. Feelings that he had never felt before for anybody else. Was this was love what love was, to feel this way for what he did for this strange woman whom he had not even seen her face entirely?
Velkan called out to her, trying to not let her leave. Love scared her, but what if he did not tell her that he loved her? He would just show her, by doing what he could for her and being the best that he could for her.
"Bethany, wait....I can walk you out if you want. You do not have to go alone, and you probably should not. We do not know where we are after all, and it could be dangerous."
He followed after her, not noticing the two females behind himself that seemed to be entirely engrossed in himself. He had eyes only for Bethany, at least at the moment he did. After all, he could not deny the feelings in his heart for her, though she apparently did not reciprocate them by her willingness to pull away and leave him alone so quickly.

Jack had successfully disengaged and walked away from the random stranger who'd seen fit to accost and interrupt his very important business of walking to the other side of the room. Luckily, the guy seemed to have given up and decided to leave him alone. That was nice. Jack wasn't feeling too particularly chatty right now, anyways, and he certainly didn't want to engage with any of these random masked weirdos.
So. He'd reached the other side of the room. It had taken him a couple minutes, since he hadn't rushed and had taken his time. Now, Jack looked around, trying to decide on what he wanted to do next. He couldn't see much through the press of people, so the young man sighed and decided to begin making his way back toward the other side of the room again, where he'd initially started. He wasn't paying very much attention to what was going on with the party or the other party people.

Lilly paid close attention the the woman beside her, before splitting off a short ways away from their target man. It looked like he was pretty enraptured with a certain woman, and she was going to need to get lost if things were going to stay simple. She didn't really have a plan, per se, but she did have a vague idea of how to to separate the two. Subtle, or even overt sexual advances hardly ever failed her before, after all.
Of course it was kind of hard to not get touchy-feely with someone when they turned about so suddenly, and when the hand that was meant to gently land on a shoulder was redirected slightly upwards because of it. The resulting string of actions causing Lilly's hand to caress lightly under the woman's jaw, and up to just behind her earlobe.
"Oh, jeez I'm so sorry!" said the offending party, a light blush spreading from the bridge of her nose to both of her cheeks. Her hand withdrew, impossibly soft fingertips lightly tracing back along Beth's neck in the process. "IWasJustAboutToTapYouOnTheShoulder,AndThenYouTurnedAndIWasAlreadyThere,AndMyHandWasJustThere,And-" The flustered Lilly spoke, not bothering to take a breath until she ran out of air.
She shut her eyes and took a deep breath, pausing for a few moments before exhaling softly and offering her hand for the shaking. "My name is Lillibeth, but you can just call me Lilly. Everyone else does." She said with a soft smile, looking over the nearby man out of the corner of her eye and mentally praying that the other woman would be able to pull him away before long.

The redhead began to turn away to look for an exit when Velkan tried to stop her. Hm? He then offered to walk her out but Bethany shook her head. No sense in him wasting his time with her when he could be continuing to enjoy the lovely party. "That isn't necessary, but thank you for the offer."
Strangely enough, Bethany couldn't spot an exit. Even in the direction she was sure she had entered the room from. Uh oh.
While she turned to look again she accidentally turned into a woman who was coincidently trying to get her attention. With so many people in one place, it was bound to happen anyway. Her hand accidentally brushed against her jaw and neck. It was tough to admit it but somehow she was already in love with this woman. Darn goddess toying with her heart. It was love at first sight. This new woman was perfection. Was she a goddess as well?
The goddess introduced herself as Lillibeth. A name just as beautiful as the woman in front of her. Bethany blushed, realizing she must have been staring a little too long at her beauty. "Oh it's fine. I'm Bethany."
She had nearly forgotten about Velkan completely and quickly looked back to see if he was still there. If no one else had caught his attention she would introduce Velkan. If he was gone she'd just turn back and continue chatting with Lilly.

Velkan frowned as Bethany refused his company, his heart pounding deep inside his chest. Did she not realize how he felt for her? That he needed her beside him, for the rest of his life? He could not stand the thought of her being away from him, and he moved quickly to follow her when she moved to leave. He watched, eyes narrowing, as the sudden new female appeared and began getting all touchy feely with Bethany. This make his hear throb, and he almost stepped forward to say something and put a stop to that but he just managed to restrain himself.
Velkan was introduced by Bethany to the new female, and he set his lips in a line and nodded. All he really wanted to do was get away with Bethany, so they could sit down and talk and get to know each other better so that they could begin what he knew was going to be the most magnificent relationship. He just needed to get her away from this succubus (Hehe, figure of speech there) who seemed to be interested in her as well.

Honestly, this type of even just wasn't for Jack. He was bored and disinterested. Why, if he'd arrived with a sugar high the young man most likely would've been growing pretty cranky just then. But as things stood, he was mostly just bored. After Jack grew tired of walking around the place, he took up residence in some corner and began playing games in his head to pass the time. He thought about his favorite books, tv shows, and movies. And his least favorite books, tv shows, and movies. Video games, too. And the young man began dissembling them in his head, poking at things that didn't make since or weren't consistent, pointing out this plot hole or that. Inwardly, he ranted about every feasible occurrence, thinking to himself what he would do better. So far this strategy for passing time was working out pretty well for him. It was keeping him entertained enough, he supposed.

"Well, miss Bethany, you have a lovely name but your lips look like they're a little dry. Mine are too, but I think I see a good looking drink bar over there on the other side of the room. You want to go mix some fluids with me?" Lilly asked, dragging her tongue across her bottom lip. "Cocktails I mean, of course."
The lady glanced quickly over Bethany's shoulder, towards the man she had previously been talking to and the empty space in which the woman she had been trying to wingwoman was supposed to be in, giving the dude a sad smile and a shrug. She'd make sure to make up for it later, in some way or another. Or in several, if he could keep up. Preferably several.
Taking the enamored woman's hand, Lilly began to guide her to what presumably would be a drink table, which presumably would be nearby.
