While traveling the great lands of Nysa, Nasheeka has heard of many great beasts that live in Nysa and a place called Earth. She had never been to earth, but she wanted to go one day. She had been spreading the news that she was looking for partners to help tame a beast located in the snowy regions of earth. She heard only a handful of people tamed Ahkluts, and Nasheeka wanted to be in that handful of people. She told people to meet her at the Faun Village, where one of the portals was located. Hopefully at least two came.
She arrived at the village, hoping some people would be at the portal, where she said to meet. She landed on the ground, and crawled off Kelseth. They had flown for days, it was time for a good rest and a quick meeting. She went to an Inn to sleep a little before she had to go to he meeting where fellow hunters would be waiting for her. While Nasheeka was asleep, Kelseth waited beside the portal, to inform any hunters about the current situation.
Nasheeka woke up, and had some food at the restaurant. She heard while eating that the portal in the village was unstable, and that it could make you end up anywhere on earth. Even underwater. The desert was days away, so this would just have to do. She arrived at the portal, putting her hair in a ponytail while she waited to see if anyone showed up.
Although Stilia is usually in a human form, it often mimics her true face. She has large, round eyes, but otherwise her features are quite sharp. She smiles much more then she used to, but usually only out of politesse.

It was unusual to hear of people talking about Akhluts. The creatures were only legend to most on Earth. However, to hear the talk of the arctic beasts while travelling Nysa seemed especially odd. And someone was saying they were looking for aid in taming them? Now that was certainly something you didn't hear every day.
But, Stilia's interest was peaked. She'd been quite curious about the creatures since learning that Nyght and Jackson had both tamed them. Although she'd had the chance to briefly examine Aurora, she wanted to know more. And what better way to do so then by taming a beast of her own? Then, the creature would let her examine it's body to her heart's content. Of course, there was no way she'd dissect or hurt the poor thing, but it would still be a vast improvement of her knowledge on the subject. Oh, those at the Academy will wriggle with jealousy when they find that she'd tamed the supernatural beast. If she wrote a thesis on it, perhaps she'd be able to climb the ranks a bit.
So she set out. She'd sent word to Jackson about her quest to find the beast, for he already possessed one, and it may be of help. Plus, the candy-obsessed ex fellow Council member tended to always pop up on hunts. She then set out to the Faun village. She'd been in the Jungles to research some of it's inhabitants, so it took her about a week to get there. Stilia felt uncomfortable at the thought of travelling through the unstable portal, but it would have to do. Hopefully they'd emerge near a town, so that they could gather all the needed supplies, and transportation. However, Stilia had packed a few supplies just in case they ended up in the middle of some large, uninhabited area.
She climbed the steps to the temple which housed the Portal, and went inside. A girl stood waiting, a very human looking girl. Stilia also appeared as a human, and wondered if she also possessed shape-shifting abilities.
"Are you the one that sent the message?" Stilia asked in Nysan. Her accent was clearly not native, but she'd picked up the language well enough.
Jack is an average, unassuming guy. He stands bashfully, avoiding eye contact as he looks around at everything except the person he's speaking with. A closer look. however, will reveal more.
Beneath this carefully neutral appearance, Jack's body is lean and efficient. He's slow to anger and behind his bashful demeanor is an assertive individual observing his environment with an almost predatory nature.

The young man had awoken with a start, forgetting where he was for a brief moment. Jack wasn't entirely sure why, but he felt late for something. He climbed to his feet and began to wade through the junk littering the floor of his room, looking for something to drink. It took a moment for his pounding heart to calm itself and finally he collapsed on an old couch strategically placed in front of the television with a bottle of water in hand.
Once his more immediate needs were met, he'd begun to regain his senses and remember what he was supposed to be doing somewhere halfway through his morning urination ceremony. He'd received word about something or other involving Akhluts. Well, as the reigning expert Jack did usually prefer to help out however he could. That usually meant accompanying the chuckleheads who'd taken it upon themselves to go hunting after the poor beasts and keeping them from ending up lunch or doing too much damage to the population.
Jack eventually squirmed his way into some clean clothes after a shower, gathering all the gear he might need for an excursion into wherever. Ultimately, he ended up in jeans and boots with a tshirt under his most favorite red jacket. Over his shoulders was a small pack filled with those basic necessities like candy, weapons, and such. He was totally ready for whatever.
So there he'd eventually found himself, back in Nysa. Getting to the temple was the easy part. After all, he'd been there before. Finding Stilia and whoever might prove a bit more troublesome, especially if he'd arrived too late and then left without him. Luckily he hadn't, but that twas just one of the many worries he worried about. Anyways, he approached the temple and convinced Paquito to carry him up all those awful stairs. They entered the portal room shortly after Stilia. But not too shortly.
"I heard someone was looking for an Akhlut!" The young man exclaimed, sliding off Paquito's back. Jack assumed a warm smile and stood there with his hands on his hips, looking between the two. He was going to be awfully embarrassed if they were the wrong folks, though he was confident they were who he was looking for. "Well?"

She had been waiting quietly by the portal for people. She flicked a coin into the air, catching it when it fell. Would anyone show up? Maybe no one believed in this creature. She heard the door to the portal room open as a woman walked through, so she quickly stood up and put her hair behind her ear. She looked awfully normal, how would she help in a fight like this? She spoke Nysan, but it clearly was not her native tongue. She walked a few steps forward and cleared her throat. "I am the one who sent the message, my name is Nasheeka." She said, glad someone showed up, even if they did not look like they'd be a help.
She wandered around the room and pointed out the window. "That is Kelseth, my partner." She said, pointing to the white dragon outside, who was watching for danger. Suddenly, another person entered the temple. But he was riding something. She watched him climb off the creature and speak. "Yes, I am looking to tame an Ahklut. I am Nasheeka." She said, getting her book out and looking at the drawing of the Ahklut, and then at the creature the man rode. He rode an ahklut? Hopefully he could help her tame one.

Stilia smiled at the young girl, extending her hand as a hello. "Nasheeka? A lovely name. It is a pleasure to meet you. And let Kelseth know it is also a great treasure to meet them."
She looked out to see the dragon. It was truly a marvelous creature, it's scales pure and white, shining under the Nysan sun. It was no wonder they tended to be such prideful creatures, hence why Stilia hoped her greeting was suitable enough to please it. One never knew when they'd need a ride from a dragon, and if it liked them enough to allow them to grace their backs instead of dying.
A little after she arrived, came Jack. Stilia smiled slightly at the sight of him. "I see you got my message, I appreciate you coming with us to hunt this creature. Nasheeka, this is a fellow hunter I invited, he will be of great help. Of course, I should be letting him introduce himself..."
She paused, waiting for whatever greetings and formalities to pass. "Now, shall we wait for anyone else? Is everyone prepared? We don't know where we'll end up with this Portal."

"Tenebrous Jack! Akhlut expert and ferrokinesis enthusiast, here to help." Jack beamed and held out his hand to Nasheeka in greeting. He made no attempt to hide the excitement in his voice. It had been a while since he'd been on an Akhlut hunt and, even though he'd been on several and studied the creatures quite a bit, the prospect of another warmed his blood. "You can call me Ten, or Jack if you prefer."
The young man leaned against his furry companion while he sized the others up in the most friendly manner possible. He'd encountered dragons before and wasn't terribly nervous to meet one. More curious, to him, was the draconian who accompanied it. Well, they seemed like a competent enough bunch. Could probably even handle and Akhlut hunt on their own without him chaperoning. But he still intended to tag along.
After giving Paquito a slight pat on the side, the Ak moved off, leaving the group. He wouldn't be accompanying them on this particular journey. Jack felt it would be unkind to make the creature fight his own kind on the whims of an eager wannabe rider.
"I'm about as ready as I'll ever be for anything," Jack assured Stilia, unslinging his shotgun from where it had been placed on the side of his pack. He let the weapon hang low across his body, ready for use but not terribly threatening. "Let's get this show on the road!"
