That's probably the shortest idea I've seen and yet the implications are SO MASSIVE for those few words. As it stands, we don't have crystal use so much in Distension but it's not something I'm opposed to. It'd need to be well-defined to make sure people aren't running around with lightsabers (), so what, exactly, were you thinking of?

The first level would allow one to simply control crystals physcially, like the first levels of water, fire, and electricity control. But crystals are, obviously, rare so one would have issues find them to control.

The second level means you could cause the crystals to grow from the ground at will then control them like in the first post.

Not sure how you would make a lightsaber outta that as crystals don't emit light themselves though they can refract it. Though you could make a sword outta crystal. This would prove far sharper then normal metal swords, but are fairly fragile and extremely vulnerable to high pitched sounds.
