In folklore, the doppelgänger is an exact duplicate of a person, exact same in apperance down to the last freckle. This paranormal double of a living person typically represents evil or misfortune. It is said that seeing one's own doppelgänger is an omen of death.
But that is merely a myth, as seeing it is not what causes death. They are merely blood-thirsty creatures, whom take your apperance, before coming in to kill you.
