If there was such a thing as an unimposing demon, Gilerath would quite easily fill that role. Being able to tower over most humans at 7 feet of height gives him some intimidation potential, but his absent and calm appearance depicts him as half asleep. His body is lean and muscular and usually kept in pristine condition. The feathery wings on his back that range in all shades of grey have some people mistaking him for an angel, but only if they are narrow minded enough not to notice his thick otherworldly aura. Brown hair, approximately jaw length rests on his scalp. Eyes as the last bit of his body are blue, and pale to the point of being almost grey.
Very often appearances are deceiving, but in Gilerath’s case; his disposition is almost identical to his looks. Quiet beyond a humanly achievable point, he breaks his silent peace only when he wants something. Unlike most of his kind, he is not a violent and malevolent all of the time. Much like the reaper folk, he too requires knowledge, strength, satisfaction, wisdom and last but not the least; serenity. Loud people anger him, but it is not easy to agitate him enough to voice what worries him. He indeed never resolves conflicts by an understanding, instead he gives his peers an ultimatum that they either respect or die.
Even while he doesn’t enjoy loud people, it is fairly easily to win him over if he wants to have the conversation someone is offering. Whispery tones and jittery antics accompanied with a sick sense of humor paint his good moods, while the bad ones were never seen by someone that lived long enough to tell the tale. Gilerath is not beyond trying to kill someone for not shutting up, nor is he below trying to right a random wrong in the world. There are no moral codes of conduct; instead his mind is in service of unpredictable whims that do all that is possible to avoid boredom.
Most other demons stay clear of him either because he forced them to do so, or because he just isn’t fun enough for their own twisted plays. On the other hand, the rest of the living world rarely interests him and their fear only furthers his peace, so he does nothing to tarnish that wicked image of him that rests in foreign minds. If there is a race he enjoys sharing time with then that would be humans. Everything is so ‘in the now’ for them and the sheer excitement of it all is entertaining enough at times.
Emotions are not unknown to him. Instead he has a lot of them; too many even. While most of the time it’s either rage or sadness that rule him, he feels happiness too. Love however, is quite out of reach for him for reasons not publically known.

background:;
Born to an influential demon couple, Gilerath was raised to be a demon like no other. They promised him the world but left him to do nothing but learn more of the world he felt he was never going to see. So he fled his mountain home in Finland at about 1000 years of age planning on never coming back. His newfound joy was short lived as his parents tracked him down and locked him up quickly. There were not words to describe his fury when he was finally let out of the dark chamber a couple hundred years later.
Knowing he could never take both of his parents down and stay alive, he slowly but surely turned them against each other. The tempest that raged while the two fought was ended with his father standing victorious but still only inches away from death itself. Gilerath saw the opportunity and grabbed it while he could. Breaking off his father’s horns and killing him came so natural and easy that even he was afraid of the power in his arms. He brought the horns with him, to remind him to remain free at all times.
He fulfilled his wishes and traveled the world until he thought he had seen everything. At the end of his voyage he met a human named Elza. They felt strongly for each other and lived happy lives for as long as her human lifespan could reach. Still, like all mortal creatures she too died and left him alone in the world that had become boring. There was nothing new to see, there was nothing new to learn; or so he thought while turning towards what he had never gazed upon before meeting his spouse. Humans became intriguing all of a sudden and he wanted to know them all, be it to molest them, care for them or ignore them; he wanted to be surprised by something he felt only a human mind could do. He kept looking at them, seemingly untouched by all their hardships, but still waiting for someone to reach back to him.
