Ashlyn quietly slipped out of her room. Careful not to wake up her sister, who was sleeping next to her. The sun was setting. After placing the note she had written on the door. She tip toed down the stairs, making sure not to step on the last step as it would make noise if she did. She crept down the hallway, making sure she didn't step on the parts that groaned when weight was on them. She walked through the living room, swerving so she didn't run into any furniture. As quietly as she can, she unlocks the top lock first, the normally soft click of the lock, seems extremely loud in the silence of the house. Ashlyn stiffens, listening to make sure her sister is still asleep. After a minute of too of silence, she relaxes a little, and unlocks the bottom lock. The click isn't as loud, so she easily opens the door, and slips outside.
She walks to the side of the house, and pulls a backpack from behind a bush. Ashlyn had hid it there earlier. She slings it on her back, and then picks up the pair of converse that were under the bag. After pulling them on, she turned and started towards the street. Ashlyn slipped into the shadows out of habit. Walking towards nowhere in particular. She just wanted to be somewhere new. She stops and pulls out her iPod and puts a headphone in her ear. The music is at the lowest level, but she can hear it clearly. And she'd rather hear her surroundings more than the music. For her own safety. Hunters had already gotten most of her family, they would not get her too.
She slips into the crowds of people in the city. She had her mothers address on a piece of paper. Though she doubts she could find it by herself. She would most likely need to find help.
Ashlyn pulls her black hoodie closer to her body. She pulled the paper from her pocket, and looked at the address again. Though she didn't need to, she had is memorized. She was about to put it back in her pocket, when someone bums her, and it slips from her hands. She goes after it, but if falls under someones foot. hen another, and another. She tries again to grab it, and gets her hand stepped on. She was unaware of the frightened looks that the people gave her, as she tried to get back the piece of paper. She sighed as her hand got stepped on again.

Brother Said he would be back soon. Ayss thought. Her brother had left to find supplys, and possibly new shelter. It was a day since he'd left. NEVER was he long for that long, especially for food and shelter. And Ayss was staving, she hadn't fed in, what? a week? maybe more. But the taste of fresh blood was on her mind, she stood up and paced back in forth in the darkness. Worried, Hungry, and weak. Before she could even pace 4 steps, she fell to the ground, shaking, starving. She couldn't wait any longer. She locked the doors of the old church behind her. she sighed, and staggered though the city.
Ayss walked though the great crowds of people, hoping to find her brother soon, She needed food, badly. she found a girl stumbling for a paper, Ayss picks it up, and studies it. It was very worn, and part of it torn off. The paper was so thin pieces crumbled under my fingers, It had a smell....she smelt it under my noise....The smell of a blood sucker such as herself. Ayss looked around to see who dropped it. The girl still fumbled for it. Ayss tapped on her shoulder. "Looking for something?" She held the paper out in my hand, waiting for her to take it. Before the girl could even take the paper, Ayss' hunger Finally got to her. She jumped on a women and bit her wrist, she screams as Ayss regained her strength. her senses even better, the screaming of the crown even louder, she knew it was reckless. but she was so hungry.
The taste reminded her of a life too long ago, a life of peace, and life where you didn't have to worry about hunters and Darke hunters. Now? Every hunter knew exactly who she was, and Ayss realized her mistake. she eyed the girl with her bloodshot eyes, wondering what she would do next.

Ashlyn took the paper from the girl. She eyes the blood dripping from the woman's wrist. She could smell it, too. It smelled like air after it rained. Well it didn't actually, but fresh blood always smelt good."Fuck, there is hunters around here you idiot." She snapped at the younger girl.
She sighed and grabbed the woman's other arm. The woman was short, and from behind would appear to be around nineteen. But her face looked older, and you could tell she was about thirty. Ashlyn, looked at the terrified woman. For the first time she was around someone who wasn't scared of her.
"Help me.." The woman begged Ashlyn.
She had tears in her eyes. The smell of her blood was making it hard for Ashlyn to think.
"Fuck, fuck, you, we got to get out of here before anyone notices this." She told the girl, who was looking a little pale.
Well paler compared to normal. She looked around her, they were off the the side, so it wasn't too weird. And it could appear that the woman was their mother. But if a hunter seen this, they would know better.
"I'm Ashlyn by the way." Was all she could think to say.
She looked at the girl, it looked like she has gone weeks without feeding. And it appeared ad if she was about to faint. Her black hair was dirty, and it looked like she need to take a shower. She felt bad, and was thinking of the big empty house she lived in. Maybe she could help this girl. Plus she looked sort of familiar.

Korina was wheeling down the sidewalk slowly. It was late, and she really shouldn't be out this late, especially alone. Except she wasn't ever truly alone, Raphael was always monitoring her and she had absolutely no doubt her newest machination was tailing her through the allies around them. A mechanical dog of sorts. However if it was there she had not seen it and Raphael wasn't telling. He had an annoying knack of taking care of her even when she DIDN'T want him to.
She rolled her wheelchair along, looking around and stopped suddenly. A girl was struggling to get a piece of paper she had apparently dropped. Being a kind person Korina rolled forwards, flipping her wheels expertly and moving quite quickly but stopped abruptly as another female picked the paper up. She looked between the two as they looked to almost recognize each other. Then her mouth dropped open and her eyes went wide as one of the females leap upon a girl and sank fangs in to her wrist. However Korina quickly composed herself. She was not her first time around vampryes.
Rolling her chair forward she rammed her wheelchair in to the vamprye's knee trying to knock her away. She wasn't opposed to vamprye's feeding, but they didn't have to kill somebody to do so. Her lips parted and she yelled. "Stop! Stop it! Your killing her! You don't have to kill her! Stop now!" She rammed her wheelchair in to her again, trying to stop the vamprye's feeding. "That's enough! Don't make me kill you!!"

Ayss looked to the human, blood dripping. "I'm- I'm so sorry, I was just so hungry." Ayss' eyes were full of both pain and pleasure. She missed her brother, where was he? Ayss undug her teeth from the woman's wrist. the girl (Who's name was apparently Ashlyn) Swore back and forth at her. She looked in the women's eyes, "You got bit by a dog, None of this ever happened, you do not know me, you have never seen me before, your going to the hospital...NOW!" Ayss snapped her fingers at the last word, the lady ran down the street, crying. Ayss took a deep breath. "Could you not swear at me, Ashlyn. That would be great." she said bitterly. She wiped the blood from her mouth, licking up every droplet left. "Names Ayss. i'm Sorry about that, My brother- I can't find him, he left to find food, but never came back, I'm worried; I'm scared The Darke hunters got him, if he- if- if" Ayss chokes on the words, determined not to cry. I cant cry. She thought. I have to be strong, For Reese, for me." She sighed looking at the stir of the crowds. "Human, please, don't kill anyone, I'll be a good girl, Promise." I put the power in my words, Tricking the little human. "Come, Ashlyn, lets go." She ran back down where she had come from, but the Church was no where in sight, Ayss started to hyperventilate. "I- I- Swear it was just this way." What if Reece went back, she couldn't find her way, he would worry, She then started to cry. "I- I- I can't, you have to leave, I have to find my brother." Panic consumed her. She couldn't move, nor speak. she fell to the cold hard ground. She lost everyone else, now she was going to lose the one brother she ever loved. the last two of the Darke family was about to be split. her life was now terrible.

"Crap, she's having a panic attack."
Ashlyn stared at the little vampire. She felt bad, her brother was missing. And she remembered feeling the same panic when her father disappeared.
"Look, I wont say I bet your brother is fine. I don't know. But there is a chance he is. I'll help you find him."
Ashlyn pulled off her hoodie, and gave it to the girl. She might be cold, the panic making it hard for her body to react well to the cold. At least that was how it was for her. And it appears that her and her brother were living by themselves.
"Come with me, you can relax and take a shower. And if you are still hungry then you can feed off my sisters mark."
She put the paper with her mom's address in her backpack. This would have to wait. There was most definitely hunters in the area. If it was more than just her family going missing. Ash squatted down so she was closer to the girls level. She placed a hand on her back trying to help her sit up.
"It will help if you take deep breaths." She told the girl.
She turned to the human and smiled. It was fake but she was trying to take care of the situation.
"I'm sorry. but it appears to me that she was on the verge of starvation. I'll take care of her. Please, I beg of you," She took a deep breath. "Don't tell any of the hunters about us. I can tell you know about the unnatural."
Mitch Lucker once said, "Keep listening to music, cause it gets you through anything, I promise." And he still keeps true to his promise, even if he is no longer here on this earth.
Korina was very disturbed by these two. They acted like siblings, like they knew each other. Sibling vamprye's where very dangerous, and she hoped they didn't turn upon her. She didnt even have anything to defend herself with. She was in a dangerous situation and she knew it. She knew the best way to get through this was to bluff. Not lie but bluff her way until she knew she was safe enough. She smiled and moved closer to them both in her wheelchair. "I'm not a hunter, nor would I tell hunters about either of you. Despite the fact that you tried to kill that girl." She threw a dirty look at the still sickly looking girl. "However, as long as you two promise not to attempt to kill me, I can offer you shelter. To both of you, and food. Your style of food." She said 'your' very pointedly to the two girls, trying to get her point across to the two blood thirsty females.

Ayss looked at these two, both so kind hearted strangers. In all of Ayss' life, NO ONE had been so nice but her family, of course. But...These two, seemed to sympathize what she was going though. Sympathy is NOT something Ayss wanted; nor liked. she looked down at the black jacket that now covered her Bloody black T-shirt. her stonewashed grey jeans; Also soaked in blood. "I- I-" She looked around, confused, uncomfortable with the Luxury of people caring. no one really ever cared for Ayss, with the exception of Reese. "Look, This is- Is all very nice of you two, but I don't know you, and I need to find my brother, with no ones help." She knew she had to get used to not having help. But something told her...Something was deathly wrong. maybe it was just a feeling that meant nothing. "I need to be on my own; I need to find it, I swore it was here, I know it was...." Ayss was puzzled with her surroundings, with these people, with everything. "I'm so sorry." She tried to run closer to the east; where the church was, but still hungry and weak, she fell face forward.

"I'm so sorry." The vampyre girl Ayss, said, before attempting to run off.
This angered Ash. She was so weak and hungry she couldn't even stand. And she was thinking she could find her brother. Who may or may not be with hunters.
"You think you can find your brother when you can't even stand?" She said, her voice lower, and scarier sounding. "You're pathetic."
She faced the human. And stared at her, no emotion shown on her face.
"Your offer is generous, but I have a home. I don't know this girl. I just know vampyres' around her are going missing. So I wanted to help her."
She sighed, calming down some. She wasn't normally angered so easily. So Ashlyn thought Ayss must be able to enhance emotions. Much like she can do. She ran a hand through her blond hair, and took a deep breath.
She shivered slightly. After all she was still part human. She could feel her own hunger, she was planning to feed before sunrise. Which was still hours away, but it still made her nervous.
"What do you think we should do? She obviously wont live if she doesn't feed. And she doesn't have the energy to get up and get to shelter, and when the sun rises in a few hours.." She paused. "And I wont kill you. I wont say I haven't killed a human, because I'd be lying. But I didn't mean to. And I don't plan to do it again."
She stopped talking. And opened her backpack, inside was another lighter jacket. Ashlyn slipped it on, and zipped it up. It was dark grey, and very soft. She sighed as her arms started to warm. She looked up at the human and smiled.
Mitch Lucker once said, "Keep listening to music, cause it gets you through anything, I promise." And he still keeps true to his promise, even if he is no longer here on this earth.
Korina smiled and nodded. "I believe you should both come home with me. I have food, the food you both need. I use to have a roommate....who well need that sort of food." She smiled and nodded. Reaching on her pocket she withdrew a small cellular device and flipped it open. She didn't even place the device to her ear.
"Raphael, you know where I am? What I need?"
A deep, melodious male's voice responded on a thick Hispanic accent. "Of course Korina. He should arrive shorty."
Korina flipped the cell phone close and smiled. A soft clicking noise sounded, approaching them in a rapid staccato of clicks, two rapidly together then a slight pause then two more rapidly together....something on four legs. Then a gleaming white four legged robotic hound the size of a large German Shepard appeared, directly before the fallen vamprye. It stopped and knelt, slipping its head under the fallen girl and shrugging until the girl was laid upon its back. It then stood waiting for the other two girls to approach so they could leave.

Ayss gasps for air on the floor. she thinks she might be effecting Ashlyns emotions, and It wasn't making things any better. "I need to find my brother.." Ayss says in her weak, strained voice. She looks down to her ankle, Which was sliced open by a piece of stray glass, It now was healing, but blood dripped softly from the bare wound. "Ah, Crap, There goes another pair of good jeans." she said lowly, her voice now completely gone out from the hunger and weakness. Ayss mouths the words "Okay, I'll go with you." to the human. She needed food. and shelter. 'then I will go find Reece' She thought. Things were about to get more complicated, She was entrusting her life with a stranger. A human, one that was ready to kill her moments ago. She didn't quite know what to think of Ashlyn, she seemed reckless; yet very careful. Ayss just couldn't make sense of the whole situation. Kindness was not a virtue she knew. This could go terribly wrong, but she had no choice but this, what else could she do, die?

Ashlyn eyed the robotic animal. She didn't see things like it often, and she wasn't sure if she could trust the thing. She knew she would have to deal with it. As she knew she was going to have to go with the human. She needed to feed. Though she might not be affected by silver and wood, well wood other than redwood/ She had to feed more often than other vampyres. It sucked, but she had lived with it for her whole life, so she was used to it.
The robot scooped up Ayss. She didn't seems to notice that she was now on a back of a robot. She was staring off into space. This worried Ashlyn. And made her wonder when was the last time she actually fed. Not counting the woman she had drank from earlier. Ashlyn looked over Ayss, and noticed a cut on her ankle. It must have been from a stray piece of glass. The wound was already healing, but it was bleeding. And the sight of blood, even if it was blood she would not drink, made her fangs come out from hiding.
"I need to find my brother.." Ayss said, her voice showing how weak she was.
It was then she noticed the cut on her ankle. She seemed surprised. But didn't move, thankfully. She just stared at it as if that would make it heal faster.
"Ah, crap. There goes another pair of good jeans." She said, her voice cracking and giving out on the last word.
Ashlyn watched her attempt to communicate with the human. Whose name they didn't know. And Ashlyn felt that if she was going to go to this person house, she should at least know her name. She took a step close to the human.
"What's your name? If I'm going to go anywhere with you, I want to know it."
She didn't bother to be nice. Even if she knew she should. After all the human was going to help them. But at the moment she didn't care. She could feel the hunger creeping up on her. And just wanted to get out of here. If there were hunters around, and she knew there were, they wouldn't be in the best position to defend themselves. As Ayss couldn't even stand.
She walked towards the robotic dog. But she did not get too close. She wasn't a big fan of dogs, robotic ones included. She sighed, and ran a hand through her hair. She looked up and locked eyes with the human.
"And, uhh.." She said shyly. "Thank you for helping us."
Mitch Lucker once said, "Keep listening to music, cause it gets you through anything, I promise." And he still keeps true to his promise, even if he is no longer here on this earth.
Korina didn't even pause to wait for questions or answers. She was at a bit of a disadvantage here. She was first, a human now with two very hungry vampryes. Secondly she was a handicapped girl, trapt in this wheelchair mostly. She gets around fine usually but speed and stealthy wasn't her forte. She didn't have her rifle, nor did she have her power armor or Eddie. Her brains where her only weappn here. Well, and the robot dog she hadn't named yet.
Wheeling quickly down the side walk as she headed back and decided that although the still standing blood drinking female was nice, she seemed a tad dull. Perhaps she was most simply distracted by everything that was happening. So she decided to repeated her name for the girl's benefit. "My name is Korina. Please, hurry, I don't know how well that dog can protect us." She wheeled her chair a bit faster as the mecha dog followed easily.

she sat on the back on the automaton and thought about everything...she didn't want to, but her thoughts wouldn't let her go. "Honey, Are you okay?" her grandma asked at the dinner table softly. "Yes, Just thinking about the people that hate us, Why do they hate us Grandma?" Sweet Sweet little Ayss had asked. "Because, were different, we eat different, they think were bad people." Her Grandma said bitterly. "But they say were not people. Are we?" "ENOUGH!" Her father had yelled, now standing up from the long table in the manor. "I shall NOT hear my daughter speak such ways, Ayss, come with me." He demanded. She knew not to disobey him, so she followed him into the Manor's Library, Where she spent most of her time. "Ayss, I don't blame you for such words, you are young, I don't expect you to know who those "people' are. But It is time I must explain. Ayss, our family has lived on for generations and generations, The Darke family is very famous in our world." He had said as she swung her feet widely in her chair. "Our world is- Different from those who hate us, they eat different things, so they think they can hunt us, and kill us; but they are no better." There was a sudden crack, smoke poured from the doors of the manor, an angry mod was light there manor on fire. Ayss hit a bump on the automaton and woke from her dazed memories. he cut now completely healed. This, Human, was just the same, out for her blood, no better than her. anger boiled in her chest. should she kill her? should she trust her? let alone, the other Vampyre. Bitch; the only word to explain her. She once again realized how weak she was and fell back into thoughts and memories of a time long ago.

Ashlyn walked, following the human. She didn't trust them. And she knew that if she needed to run, she could. She also knew that Ayss didn't trust her, nor like her. The girl was glaring at her. Though Ash didn't think the young girl knew.
She paid attention to every street they crossed and every corner they turned. She needed to so she could get back home if needed. They cut through an ally, as they were walking a bat flew from one building to the next. Ashlyn let out a squeak. She blushed, hoping the two other girls did not notice.
Her fangs had disappeared after a few minutes of walking. Ashlyn's mind was on other things. Like the night she had her first encounter with a hunter. She had gotten into a fight with her father and had ran outside during the day. She had ran in the shadows for about three blocks. But the cover of shadow had ran out. She had let out a small scream when the sunlight touched her arm, burning it. She went to turn around and run back home. But there was someone in her way. They were holding a sliver knife in one hand, and had about three different stakes attached to their waist.
The young Ashlyn didn't have time to react when the hunter threw the knife. It lodged in her shoulder. But being a Dhampir, the silver did not affect her. But it still hurt. Without thinking the seven year old pounced, knocking the hunter down. She bit down on the neck, and then ripped her head away. She repeated the action two more times. She killed the human. He dad found her in a ball next to the dead hunter. She was crying, blood covering most of her face..
A gust of wind made Ash shiver, allowing her to leave the memories deep in her head. She was angry now, thinking about the hunters who killed her dad, and her siblings. She was frowning now, but she didn't care.
"How much farther. You do realize the sun will rise soon." She asked the human, her voice was cold.
The amount of cars and people had slowly decreased. They had been walking for about an hour or so. And Ashlyn was getting impatient. She was starting to trust this human less and less. But she also knew that she could get away easily. She didn't necessary like Ayss, but she would feel bad for leaving her, but if she needed to she would. She also knew she promised to help find the girl's brother, and the part of her, that hated breaking promises, kept her there.
Ayss was lost in her thoughts, and Ashlyn noticed how young she was. About thirteen or fourteen. Ash would be turning seventeen soon, and was saddened by the thought. It would be seven years... She shook her head, she would not think of her dad. Once she helped Ayss find her brother she would locate her mother. Until then, she would go with the flow.
