Cinnel shifted back as well, taking the money from him. She nodded and looked at him. “Thanks, for taking me here.” She said awkwardly. Cag looked nervous. Something about this town spooked him. “Did something bad happen?” She asked, motioning to the town. “I know it probably isn’t my place, but I want to know.” He was trying to hide his face. This thing that happened must’ve been pretty bad. That sparked her inquisitiveness, flaming it into an inner blazing fire. “You are a walking puzzle. I’ve made it a goal of mine to find out, anything and everything I can about you.” She said, determined. “Well, I will take my leave. Until we meet again, Cag. And when we do, I expect answers. Entire ones, I don’t want some half-truths told to me.” She began walking towards the town, away from Cag, and away from the forest. She ignored the empty feeling inside of her, and kept moving. Friendship was a distraction, one that she couldn’t afford.

He sighed, stepping behind a tree and quickly taking the form of a elk and loped off through the woods away from the town as quickly as he could in long, bounding leaps almost ten feet of ground with each leap. When he was far enough away he stopped, pawing the ground with a hoof and snorting hard in irritation. Finally he retook his human form and sat against a tree, dropping his head in to his hands. He was mildly ashamed. Why should he care about the questions and prodding of the town he use to live nearest to? He wasn't usually like this. He shook his head, forcing himself to stand up and begin walking.
It was stupid of him to come here. He knew it before he had even left. Just plain stupid and pointless, but he had felt the need to come and get closure upon his mother's death. Well, now he had it. He would have no need to return to this place again after this day. None at all. He smiled at that thought of never having to see the town of murders again and walked deeper in to the forest lost deep in his musing.
