Adikartika smiled, sitting upon Evanesca's back as she lazily flapped through the air. He was enjoying the cool air up here in the north part of America. So crisp and clean as it flowed through his hair and over his skin. He knew Eva was enjoying herself to though the up drafts where few and far between up here making her flying a little more strenuous but she was relishing in the work. She rolled over in the air, suddenly flying upon her back and roared in to the air then curved her neck back slightly to look at him out of one large eye.
"So, Adi, what is it you wish to do this fine day? I for one, I wish to find a nice cool pond and wallow in the water a little. So I am going to head down now. I smell water several meters ahead of beneath the trees."
Adikartika grinned, thinking a swim would be nice as well. He patted her back to let her know he was ok with it. Her large wings tilted and she swept towards the ground, wind whistling around them. She dodged several tree tops that where larger then the others and then folded her wings slightly around the edged and shot straight towards the small lake. Flaring her wings at the last second she landed slightly in the water so she didn't drench her friend's cloths and she paddled to the shore to allowed him to dismount.
Adi leap on to the shore, quickly removing his sword harness and set his long sword against a tree nearby. His pistol and holster went next, and he stripped off his shirt quickly then sat upon the earth and began to unlace his shoes. He set them beside his weapons and shirt and slipped his socks off. Standing back up still in his pants, he walked to the edge of the lake and stood for a few seconds before diving in to the water. Evanesca watch him, shaking her head feeling sorry for humans who always had to remove those silly things called cloths before doing anything like bathing, bedding down, or even what they called "making love". Who need cloths when you had magnificent scales. She licked several of her own, then dove under the water and swam along the lake bottom.

Cornelia Ciel sat comfortably on the bulge of a jagged boulder jutting out from the surface of a vast lake, her knees pulled up to her chest and her golden eyes staring deeply into the blue water below her. Brown trout swam slowly beneath the surface, brushing torn fins with one another and scattering when a lone crawdad clipped at them. Some of the trout even launched up and out of the water, giving Cornelia a quick glimpse of those sparkling brown scales that held spots of red and orange, only to return to the mud and snippy-snappy crawdad and fellow panicking fish. She blinked and a light brown pulled at her lips, a thin hand reaching down to touch and swirl the surface of the water.
Unfurling her legs, Cornelia slowly slid herself into the knee-deep water, the coolness of it sending a hard shiver down her spine. Northern lakes were freezing, even in the heat of summer. She took the time to adjust and then bent forward, her eyes fixed on the mud-shelled crawdad, dipping her hands into the water. She quickly scooped it up in her small hands and brought it up to eye level.
Crawdads really could be mean. She didn't like that, not one bit. It wasn't okay for the little bugger to clip at the fishes fins that way. It could've hurt them. In fact, that might be what those red spots were on that poor trout...
Cornelia shot the crawdad a pouty glare, disappointed with its anticks. "Please don't be so mean to the little fish. I think you hurt him," she mumbled, scolding the little crawdad. It only twitched its antennae in response.
"Good, you understand," she beamed, leaning back down to gently place the crawdad under the surface of the water again. When it slid from her fingers, she stood straight and looked out to the lake, the vast expanse of blue-green sparkling in the warm afternoon sun.
She smiled. It was always so pret--
A flash or red and yellow entered the water with one powerful dive, its splash colossal in size. Her golden eyes widened impossibly and she herself dove for cover, praying to whatever natural god there was that whatever threw itself into the water wasn't some horrible, mean creature. Crouching behind and against her previous perch, Cornelia felt a rain of droplets from the lake soak her to the bone.
Shivers her and shivers there. She trembled from the sheer freezing temperature the water held and she held herself tightly.

As Chiha walked slowly through the woods he looked out for the plants that are dying. Kneeling down he pulled the dead plant and planted the seed from it, tossing the plant aside before putting his large hand over where the seed is, making it grow once again but twice as big as it was. Standing up he continued on his path to the lake, he walked silently and quickly for a large primate through the woods.
Closing the distance between him and the lake he was a 100 feet out, hearing the loud splash he got angry, assuming it was humans playing in the lake leaving trash once again. Running quickly the last 100 feet he looked over the lake through the trees and the brush, seeing a large red dragon and a human. Furious but cautious at the same time he wondered why the human had such a large beast Chiha has never seen before. He has heard stories of a large reptile with wings but has never seen one.
Watching from the brush he caught a glimpse of the small girl that got drenched from the dragon landing. Looking at her he watched her and the dragon, turning his head to do so. More curious about the dragon then the humans.
Evanesca swam to the surface, having reach the other side of the lake and exploded out of it. She shook herself, scattering water everywhere and let out a loud noise that sounded like a cross between a purr and a coo. She leaned over to remove a piece of algae from her scales when she froze, gazing upon the little wet female cowering behind a rock. She stepped closer upon her back legs, leaning over the rock and splaying her smaller front limbs upon the rock, claws scratching the surface slightly and showering the little girl with dust and tiny bits of gravel. Her head curled around the rock, one large solid black eye coming to settle upon the shivering girl. Eva was not a stupid lizard, and new exactly why the girl was shaking. She was cold, and probably caused by Evanesca herself. She contemplated the girl for a second, then pulled her head back and away, speaking to Adikartika in the draconian language. "Adi, there is a small girl over here, drenched to her bones. She appears human, but does not smell it."
Adikartika surfaced about seven feet from the shore, shaking his wet hair from his eyes. He glanced over to see Evanesca looking at something behind a rock and he paddled in place until she spoke. He quickly breast stroked towards his dragoness and finally reached the shore beside her. He stepped from the lake, water dripping from his hair and rolling down his torso and chest. He walked around the rock and indeed there was a girl sitting there, shivering almost uncontrollably. He knelt beside her and placed a hand upon her arm gently. "Miss, are you alright?" You are shaking. If you care cold, we can surely build you a fire to help you warm yourself up." As he said us, he waved vaguely from himself towards Evanesca in as an explanation as to whom he was speaking of.

Cornelia couldn't find a single word to say as she craned her head up to see the large, reptilian creature loom over her. It stated down at her with its deep black eye, almost as if it were staring into her soul. Gold searched inside the black and Cornelia bit her lip, cowering in the shadow of both the rock and the female dragon. Then a strong hand entered her vision, calloused and dripping wet with the same water soaking her to the bone. Her eyes followed the arm that hand was connected to up to a sopping wet mop of dark hair. She trembled an shook with the cold nipping at her fingers and really all sensitive spots, her eyes pulling away from the man offering his hand.
"Miss, are you alright? You are shaking. If you are cold, we can build a fire to help you warm yourself up," the man offered, drawing Cornelia's attention away from her frozen self. She eyed him with great appreciation, her stiff neck rolling as she bobbed her head in acceptance of his offer. She really was cold. Freezing, even. In fact, she was surprised she could even still move correctly.Â
Well, her vocal chords weren't in tact. Shock, maybe? Or was it just the cold? She shook her head to clear it and slid her frozen hand into the man's strong one, her heart skipping a beat when the thought of her Clairsentience ability becoming active burst into her mind. She didn't want to read his mind! It's rude and invasive. She quickly withdrew.

Standing on the forest he watched out them for a distance, mostly watching the dragon as he was curious, never seeing one before and all. Putting his hand on the tree he listened in on what they were saying. Unable to understand the dragon he scratched his chest before looking around to find a better vantage point to watch them from.
Seeing good cover down the bank a little he quietly and quickly made his way down to it, crouching down behind the brush he peeked through the foliage to watch them.

Adi looked up at Eva and nodded."Eva, please? I know you don't really like other races and think them lower then you, but please help her?" He looked up at the female dragon, his brown eyes wide as he was extremely worried about the girl as she shiver and shook. He as he begged his dragoness for help, he thought about swimming back across the the lake and getting his shirt for the girl. It was better then nothing, but as he moved towards the water Evanesca relented.
"Very well, Adi. As it seems important to you, I shall forego my own personal feelings about this and do as you wish." Eva moved her face towards the female then took a deep long breath. When she released it, the heat upon her breath was almost scalding hot, but the female's cloths almost instantly began to steam as the water evaporated from them, heating the girl with in them as well. Evanesca held this hot breath upon the girl for a two full minutes, before stopping and stepping back. The girl was completely dry now and more then likely very toasty warm. She snorted, releasing a bit of smoke from her nostrils. When she inhaled again, a sharp scent assaulted her nostrils and she turned her head to look across the lake. She sunk in to the water, ready to explode from it like some sort of red crocodile. She swam leisurely across the lake, and suddenly thrust her head in to the brush there, growling loudly trying to find the source of that strange smell.

The gust of heat splashing Cornelia surprised her, warmth and dryness returning to her pale skin. She gave a small shudder and relaxed, slumping against the large rock she had cowered behind. Her golden eyes flit up to the dragon and a thin smile split across her face.
"Thank you," she chimed, all previously felt fear replaced by gratitude and warmth.
Cornelia was quite the resilient girl, also was she naive and often too confused about a situation to react properly. But, as she quickly recovered, she flashed the dragon her kind smile as she so usually did. Not only was she confused, she was ridden with shock but too innocent and naive to recognize it as such. She felt nothing but a warm squeeze inside her chest, her muscles tense up slightly.
[Im sorry for such an awful post, but I felt that I needed to at least get something up.]

As Chiha sat on the bank behind the brush he watched them. Seeing the dragon look over towards him and sink under the water and swim towards him he stood up slowly and back up a few steps just before the dragon shot its head out of the water. The loud growl scared him as he wasn't expecting it. Staring at the dragon he spoke in his natural tongue, which was "What are you." but came out more as grunts to the average ears.
Standing up straight he kept a good distance from it as he watched the dragon, looking at every detail of it. Never seeing one before he wanted to know more about it. So focused on the dragon he almost completely forgot out the humans still on the other side of the lake.
Evanesca growled at the creature, tilting her head. Whatever it was it had a very strong smell and she wrinkled her nose. She snorted to try and clear the smell, smoke curling from her nostrils. This thing was very different, and she had never seen anything like it before. She leaned closer towards him, her gleaming red scales glistening with water from the lake. She tilted her head slightly to gaze upon him with one enormous eye. She had every intent of mesmerizing him in to staying in place. Not to harm him but to simply hold him there, inspecting him until Adi could make his way over and see what he thought of this strange being. ------------------------------------ Adikartika smiled at Cornelia, then looked around at to see what Eva was doing and frowned. She had some...thing pinned against the bank of the other side of the lake. Adi looked from Cornelia towards the creature, then took her hand and pulled her gently along with him around the lake quickly. He approached Eva and this new creature and called out while releasing Cornelia's hand. "Easy, Eva. He doesn't seem to want to harm us. If he tried to though, you can fry him." Turning to the creature he spoke loudly towards it because they where still a good distance from it and he wanted to be sure he was heard. "Hello. You look like drawing I have seen of a Sasquatch. Though I thought they where only myths. Is that what you are?"

Cornelia let out a shrill yelp when the man grabbed her hand, her fear of all the memories that could possibly flood through her returning. She struggled for a moment, not wanting any part of his memories or thoughts, and quickly realized it was a vain attempt. The man's grip was firm. Thoughts of what the dragon might be doing filled Cornelia's head, all just wondering, nothing definite. No memories. She breathed a small sigh of relief and when all of her fussing cleared, the man let go of her hand, his new focus a tall, hairy man-like creature.
"Easy, Eva. He doesn't seem to want to harm us. If he tried to though, you can fry him." He turned to face the creature and spoke really loudly, makin sure the creature could hear him. "Hello. You look like drawing I have seen of a Sasquatch. Though I thought they where only myths. Is that what you are?"
Cornelia smiled and stepped forward to stand beside him. "He's a primate," she chirped. "I've studied them once before. Very interesting race. They can be quite-- Why isn't he moving?" She looked sideways at the man beside her and frowned slightly. It didn't seem fair to keep the primate frozen to the spot. At least allow him to move around a little bit.

Evanesca looked away from the monkey man towards the female as she yelped, her eyes narrowing slightly. Did she really need to sound like some silly little school girl who had just broken a nail. She snuffed, a plume of smoke rolling from her nostrils and raising towards the sky and looked away. The monkey man was suddenly gone now, simply vanished back in to the woods and she frowned. She had been wanting to know why that thing was here and what it wanted, but it seemed as if her curiousity would simply have to wait now. She turned back to Adi and the new girl, and seeing him hold her hand, she growled and cracked her tail like whip, knocking there hands apart. She glared directly at Adi and rumbled at him in her serpentine language. "What are you doing? You shouldn't be holding some random girl's hand. You are Queren's because I say so. Got it?" She snorted, blasting him (and the Cornelia) with hot air from her nostrils tinge with smoke that stung their eyes and nostrils. ---------------------------------------- Adikartika's eyes went wide as Evanesca knocked their hands apart, and he opened his mouth to say something then fell silent as he was berated. He frowned, shaking his head and sighing deeply. Eva was entranced with the fae Queren Arden, but the female fae had shown no such attraction to Adi so why did it matter so much? He rolled his eyes, then leaned closer to Cornelia and whispered in her ear softly. "She gets so jealous easily sometimes." He chuckled, watching Eva knowing perfectly well she had heard him as well and would growled at him for that. Sure enough, he got the accustomed growl from her deep chest that rumbled the air around them.

Cornelia yelped as the female dragon snapped at their hands, pulling her own into her chest to cradle it. There was a slight pain flowering across the top of her hand and her knuckles. The small girl frowned and looked away, we golden eyes downcast and her lip sucked in between her teeth. Her hand stung.
She must have done something wrong. But what did she do? Maybe it was what she had said... Maybe she sounded a bit too much like a know-it-all. Maybe she spoke like a snob. Maybe she had bad breath. Maybe she had bad teeth. Maybe she was just annoying. Her hand pulsed with slight pain again and her frown deepened. Or...maybe she was a problem. Maybe she was too young. Maybe she was childish. Maybe her being childish was bad. Maybe--
She shook her head inwardly and rubbed where the dragon snapped, confused to say the least.
"She gets so jealoous easily sometimes," the man said, his voice lighthearted and his chuckle soft. Looking up to him, Cornelia blinked and smiled just a little.
"Oh... I'm sorry for making her feel that way," she mumbled, her eyes darting up to the dragon.
The crash of something heavy charging through the woods nearby shook Nessuno from his pleasant daydream. He had come all the way out here to relax, or so he had claimed. In truth he had left civilization so far behind in order to find something he had been missing for far too long. The memory of his dragon's death still stuck with him these years later, and the bond they shared was something he wished dearly for. However he had more pressing concerns now.
Nessuno sat up, his light blue eyes shifting down from the pleasant sight of the sky overhead to scan the trees around him. The rumbling crash grew louder for a few more seconds, his hand sliding underneath his leather jacket to grip his pistol, but then began to fade. He sat still for long moments, listening intently to ensure the creature had truly gone. When he was satisfied he smiled and sprang to his feet. Stretching with a yawn he started towards the tree line, seeking the source of the noise.
As he stepped into the trees he noticed the path immediately, a long trail of underbrush ripped apart. Remembering which way the noise had gone in, Nessuno went the other direction along the path. He was curious, true, but he also didn't want to meet whatever had made that trail. Always in favor of caution he drew his .45 magnum revolver, drawing back the hammer as well. His other hand sat close to a sheathe on the inside of his jacket, ready to draw the dagger hidden there.
Hearing voices from further along the trail Nessuno dropped to a crouch, moving slowly towards the sounds. The trail opened up into a wide lake, several figures standing on the beach and conversing. It was the dragon that drew his attention of course.
His eyes widened in surprise, jaw hanging slack as he stared at the magnificent creature. Her graceful body was as brilliant and fiery as the flames such creatures were known to breath, her wing span truly impressive. Running a hand through his shoulder length brown hair, Nessuno realized he was shaking. Bringing his empty hand up before his eyes he watched it shudder, not certain if it was from excitement or fear.
(He told me to pop in lol. Feel free to converse more before noticing him, I have more stuff to post without having to involve you guys.)

Cornelia wasn't too keen on her surroundings, thus taking the time to explore with her golden eyes. Lush winter green pines swayed ever so slightly in the quiet, brisk breeze that began to flow, ferns and the surface of the blue-green lake shuddered. Fish still flipped and flopped against the surface, their bodies moving slowly and quickly at designated intervals in their own swimming patterns. Some even leaped out of the water, only to plummet back down and into the blue. Boulders lined the lake, pebbles and broken shells from millenia upon millenia ago decorated the spaces between and the lake shore. Foam from the lake whitened the edges of each boulder, ignoring the pebbles and shells.
A small smile played her lips, nature giving her fluttering butterflies in her belly. Every aspect of nature - be it frightening or otherwise - was something too valuable to Cornelia. Like a precious stone or even a child, it was something to be cherished and protected. And even though nature is what it is, other people and races just don't seem to always see it in that light.
Now officially drawn away from the dragon and the man, Cornelia swiveled on her feet and looked out across the lake, marveling in the beauty that so belonged to the earth. Her heart fluttered and her smile widened. It was simply too beautiful to be ignored. Gold locked onto a protrusion in the brush, however, as she flit from tree to rock to this, that, and the other. A stick, maybe?
