"He should have been back by now..."
Tayva couldn't help but worry right now, stuck in the middle of the forest, her belongings somehow having been either misplaced or taken during the short period that she and Talos had taken a break from their trekking. Talos had taken off to go reclaim the missing bags, which contained everything that the pair possessed: food, tent, etc. Without them they were sitting ducks. And of course this meant that she was left alone in the woods, in an unfamiliar territory in northern America with only a small hunting knife to protect her against the wild.
To her, it felt that her companion had been gone for almost hours, though her sense of time was skewed by the fact that she couldn't see the sun up above, the forest canopy hiding it from her eyes. Around her the forest seemed dim, almost as if night time from the sheer amount of foliage up above. It made her nervous, even a little jumpy as she listened to every sound in the forest. She couldn't help but feel a little paranoid that something would jump out at her. After all, this was the first time in ages that she was left alone without her draconic companion.
Hearing some rustling not too far away, Tayva felt the hair on her skin stand up, the fear of encountering some large grizzly bear being the first thing that came to her mind. Quickly hastening her steps, she hurried to a nearby tree, grasping onto branch stumps and bark as she dragged herself up onto the lowest branch. It wasn't until after she climbed up however that she found it to be less than stable, forcing her up yet another branch. This was a fatal mistake however, as it snapped under her weight, the draconian falling to the ground with a snap and a thud...

He had been traveling for days, sleeping during the nights and sticking to the deep woods, avoiding the cities and towns which only made his travelling even longer. Picking berries and edible vegetation as he walked, only stopping to capture fish to eat before he slept. He grew tired of avoiding the humans, having to either find a bridge to sneak under, wait till night or a dead time in traffic to bolt across highways.
He had traveled from the thick forests of California, knowing this time of year the loggers were going to start in Washington. He planned to be there before they started to ruin the equipment so they couldn't log. His plans would soon be on hold as he was detouring around a city. He spotted a woman all alone out in the woods, he wondered what she was doing. She looked lost and seemed to be scared. As he quietly walked forward behind cover he accidentally stepped on a stick that moved some low branches on a small pine tree.
He froze and stared at her, seeing she got scared and started climbing the tree he shook his head and continued to watch her. Hearing the branches cracking he could tell that she was to heavy for any of the branches on that tree. He simply stood there and watched as she continued to climb up. Hearing the snap of the wood he watched her fall to the ground. The audible snap and thud could clearly be heard, he stood there wondering if she was okay. The snap sounded as if a bone had broken, he wasn't going to reveal his self until he knew she needed help.

Tayva struggled to blink a couple of times, finding herself unable to focus on the same spot for long, before her vision started to sway and blur. She reached up slowly and rubbed her head, feeling a sharp pain as she moved her arm out from under her. The girl halted her movement, only to glance down with drifting eyes to her limb, finding it splattered in blood. Tayva winced, feeling her stomach churn at the sight of the piece of wood, part of the branch that had fallen with her, that was now lodged part-way through her arm. She struggled to cast the image from her mind, but it remained solid in the back of her head, causing her vision to blur once more.
Squeezing her eyes shut, she let out an instinctive holler of pain, before choking back a small whimper. She tried hard to roll onto her other side, to try and get herself up and off of the branches that were stabbing into her back, but she found herself weakened from the loss of blood. The draconian returned to laying on her back, not daring to move the fingers on her injured arm, unless she wanted to cause more trauma. She sent out a telepathic cry for help to Talos, who by then had managed to find the missing bags. It would take him a few minutes to return back toward his companion, but before he would be able to arrive, her vision would fade into darkness.
