Clipper, clapper, clattle, rom-shaddle, that's what it sounded like to the werebeast. Thousands of people filled this place and each one making more and more annoying sounds as they pranced about. Clipper, clapper, clattle, rom-shaddle, again and again without end in sight. CJ had half a mind to throw the nearest person down a few levels. However the nearest person was an associate of CJ's who was actually quite valuable at the moment. Still he was always ready.
At this time CJ Warhawl was in a department. . . City because this could hardly be discribed as a mall. 320 shops and restaurants, 17 cinemas, and a 400-room Marriott hotel, this place was no other than the Eaton Center in Toronto. Set in the midst of a busy commercial district this was the perfect place to get one's shop on. The sad thing was that CJ lived in the forest, had no job, nor any family who could aid him. That meant money was really no object that he possessed and he was really out of place here. In spite of this he still came because of a human companion he had.
Fairly well off and a constant party freak, this human spent his days sleeping and his nights partying as a base guitarist in an indie band. CJ thought he was had no talent and was about as interesting as a biting horse fly but hell the dude was purchasing the werebeast a new outfit. For now the curteous and civil CJ existed - well he had a certain glass bottle in his hand to help him along.
"So ay, what you luking fo? I personally need a new pair o' ants, you know? Those cow boys wear 'em." The sun was high in the sky but this rocker was already drunk and slurring his words - the true mark of a muscian. Despite sipping a nameless rum for the past two hours CJ was pleasantly clear. He wanted to throw someone to their death but was pleasantly clear. Dressed in a normal cotton shirt and intentionally-unintentionally torn jeans and an old pair of sneakers CJ did not stick out much.
However, his towering six feet, mean scowl and cracked shades still did give him a certain aura of strangeness even amongst this sea of people. "Oye," CJ shouted to his loon of a companion, "down there, thats the men's department store you idiot. You had us walking half an hour in the wrong direction. 'I know where it is, this is my store' my ass!" Shouting after the idiot CJ pointed at the store and began to turn around. A few children were of course startled but hey why should a boarish guy like CJ care?

Sarah pushed gently through the large mass of humans, sighing inwardly. So many people. They were loud, and hurt her ears. But, she did need some new shoes. And the food here was good. Well, all of the food that didn't have meat in it. Being a vegetarian in the human world was so hard. A deep brown gaze bounced from store to store, looking for a good place to get some shoes. Gods, this was going to be hard. On her, and her wallet.
Her eyes flashed, as she smelt the faintest trace of something odd within the overwhelming scent of human. A were? She lifted her nose to the air and...Breathed in the ugly scent of human male body-spray. Raising a sleek brow to the man standing before her, she tilted her head. He was human, no doubt about it. And she could smell alcohol on his breath. Grimacing, she turned away from the man and wrinkled her nose.
She started on her way towards the food court, she couldn't shop on an empty stomach, when a large voice boomed over the rush of human bodies. Yelling about a Men's Department store? Turning just in time to see a fairly large man moving the other way, and scaring a few small children as he did, Sarah snorted. And again, she could smell the subtle scent of were. Breathing out a sigh, she advanced towards the smell. She knew there was another were somewhere in this crowd, and she had an overwhelming feeling that it was the man she saw yelling.
"Half a fucking hour!" CJ shouted after the human he was walking with. This time the large mocha man held the human by the back of the neck firmly and steered him in the right direction. CJ did not worry about hurting the feeling of his wallet as the man was used to far greater abuse. Plus he was drunk and probably would remeber nothing within a few hours anyway. So CJ held the guy by the neck. He was a pasty and scrawny blonde guy who did not like to wear normal clothes. Dressed in some dotted garb as if a clown puked on him he was an oddity. Perhaps that was why girls liked him? Or rather like to smell him like that one earlier. Of course CJ was sniffing for a scent but quickly dismissed it as some aweful mixture of human.
He let the guy go once they were down the stairs and facing the food court. "Hey man I bet they've got chickpeas! Haha! Did you know chickpeas are made out of real chicks?" The man falsely informed CJ. The werebeast did not pay much attention to him, instead he had his head tilted in an odd direction. With a deep sniff he caught that smell again. He looked over his shoulder. Despite his serious expression he could still be seen as having a 'smile'. There were a few people behind him - where could that smell be coming from? It smelt like were. Soon he turned to the basist and said, "I've gotta shoot the can."
CJ took a left turn and headed towards the foodcourt. Heavy smells of fried and baked foods not to mention fresh ingredients warfted through the area. It built up a thick layer that covered up the smell of were. This was on purpose. CJ knew that he was being followed by something familiar, something beastial and after so long, he could not deal with anymore right now and certainly would not be caught by one. All he needed was some time to think and gather himself for a gameplan. He made it to a near restroom and walked into the seperate men's room. He did not know whether the creature was male or femal or some third gender but he figured even if it was male he would get a clear idea. Very soon.
((OOC: dont be discouraged, jus playing hardball. . .))

Sarah cocked her head to the side, dodging through the crowded area towards the smell. It had been a long time since she had last seen another were. Where was it, though? Curiosity got the better of her, flashing deep within those chocolate orbs, as she followed the scent. She absolutely had to know now. She lifted her nose to the air once more, nostrils flaring as she followed the scent to the entrance of the Food Court...And lost it.
The overwhelming scent of the food in the restaurants masked the scent of were, making it impossible for her to smell the creature, even with her heightened sense of smell. With a sigh, she turned on her heal and moved to a smaller restaurant within the Food Court, standing quietly in the line. Still, though, her gaze swept about the room in search of the other were she has smelled. It had to be here somewhere.
((O.O.C. It's fine :3 This seems like it'll be fun))
CJ walked into the men's restroom. The place was normal - toilet stalls, sinks, and urinals. The exact look of an average male restroom, CJ did not know why he was expecting anything abnormal. He took a few paces to the sink.
"Twenty one thousand, twenty one one thousand, twenty two one thousand." He was counding down the seconds. His huge chocolate brown hands gripped the polished marble of the sink. It felt startling cold, especially in his alcohole numbed state.
"--Twenty eight one thousand, twenty nine one thousand." CJ's dark irises focused on the door ahead of him. He could feel his blood boiling - he would turn given a second's notice. He did not care if he rampaged. He did not care if he slaughtered every human out there if he knew he was taking a hostile were in the process. The last second passed. CJ loosened his grip on the sink and relaxed a bit. The were had been through a lot of shit. If another were was around and knew where he was and wanted him then it would only take thirty seconds for shit to go down. CJ categorized things in two ways: thirty second shit and fourty five second shit. This was a way of determining his time frame of response to the problem and a were was definitely the prior.
Deciding it safe to act freely again he walked to the door and pulled it open. Immedately he started looking left to right for any signs of troube. He possessed an ability that alerted him when there was trouble - sixth sense - but he did not put too much value on such tricks. Instead he figured he would try something else. He closed his eyes to listen. Heartbeats, footsteps, breathing, talking, chewing. He listened intently to every sound in his immediate area using his beastly hearing. He was searching for anything out of the ordinary. Increased heartrate, irregular footsteps, irregular breathing. Anything could tip him off.
Soon he got something. A subtle sound of long sniffs came to his ears and he turned in it's direction. It stopped but before that he had caught a girl. His eyes hung on her enthralled. Deep red hair and a fine figure, certainly the sort he went for, except the whole were thing. CJ was not prepared for that sort of baggage. Other than her he did not think he had any other choice. If push came to shove he would easily turn and kill whatever came in his path. Yea, he liked plan B.
Quickly he began to walk towards her. He soon came to a small stall - that served vegan food(?) - and began to shove through the line. He did not care what the human's had to protest and quickly came ahead. It was quite crude but affective as he came to his destination quickly. CJ stepped behind the red head and leaned in slowly. At this range he could tell, it was her.
"So whats a pretty young thing like you doing in a," he paused looking up at the various vegetation and processed bean foods, " -place like this". Needless to say CJ loved meat and this place was already turning his stomach.

She sensed the man moving up behind her before she heard him. And when he began to talk, she rolled her gaze skyward. He was obviously trying to pick her up. Human males always did this. Tried flirting with her. Well, she was never interested. And, though she was usually a nice person, she never had a problem with telling them to kiss her ass. She turned, ready to tell the man off, and stopped dead. That scent. He was the were? She had to lift her chin to look him in the eyes, and she did, raising a slim red brow. He looked disgusted. She pretended like she had no idea of what he was. Instead, she smiled sweetly at him, faulsly clueless. "Well, sir, I'm here to eat some vegen food." she tilted her head innocently. "And what about you? You don't look like a vegetarian."
((Occ: seriously, extremely mega sorry. Had some connection problems. *bows for forgiveness*))
CJ raised a thick brow. His laughing face was obviously amused by this most curious show. He knew that she was a were, he could smell the earthly natural beastial scent from off of her very being. Even hidden under the thick odor of human influences he could sense her true animalistic nature. And just as he could sense her true indentity she should have been able to sense his. CJ was nothing if not happy to recieve a challenge at times. Hell, he was in a specially good mood today, he could afford a small game.
The were leaned in closer. His hands resting against the metal rails on each side controlling the line into a single file. CJ began to speak softly. So softly in fact that humans probably could not hear properly even if he was right next to them. What CJ wanted was to speak to her animal side. He was sure with a were's powerful hearing she could easily tell what he was saying.
"Well, you know how people are; animalistic in their diets. Meat intensive and all that. I for one have such a wild side so I prefer my food red. However today I desired something a bit more natural, you know what I mean?"
CJ dropped not so subtle hints in a slow soft tone. This was his turn in her game and he figured toying with her would be a little more fun than hanging out with a drunk clown or counting in a restroom. At this point the dark skin were leaned in very close, clearly invading her personal space and daring her to make a move.

((O.O.C. It's fine, of course :3 Good to see you back, with working connection))
Sarah stared up at the male as he leaned in closer, too close. She held in the hiss that so desperately wanted to leave her throat, and lifted her chin. He wasn't gonna scare her, or make her feel uncomfortable in any way. She would stand her ground. Her brow furrowed, and she glared up at him. "But of course. How different are we from the animals anyway?" she said, deciding against her false innocent charade. He obviously saw right through it. Instead, she moved back a bit, phasing through the bars, careful as to not let any humans see her do it. She was now standing on the other side of the rails, leaving him in the line alone. She leaned in, fingers wrapped around the bars and smiled up at him. "Except, of course, intelligence. But, some people are dumber than a cockroach." She said, raising a brow and tilting her head. She smiled and patted his chest. "Have fun eating your food," she then turned and dissapeared into the crowd.
She moved through the crowded area, pushing through the humans around her, and slipped into a door nearby. She didn't bother looking at the sign, she knew it was a large arcade. Checking behind her for any signs of the other were, she moved through the many human offspring to the back of the room, and struck up a conversation with a few adults, obviously watching their children play.
CJ clenched the rails as he saw her walk away. A bit of banter and a few harder than necessary taps on the chest and she was gone. CJ could not help but grin. He could not let that be it. He had a strange personality; like a hunter's he could not notice an interesting prey and not persue it. That was just how he was, and today - despite his very fatigued mind - he wanted to go after that catch.
"May I take your order?" The cashier asked and CJ was brought back to reality. It seemed the were was at the head of the line. His brown eyes flickered from the hung menu and disgust was clear from his expression. He frowned.
"Do you eat this garbage?" He asked the teen at the counter.
"Sir. . ?" The boy was confused.
"I asked if you eat this garbage?!" CJ asked a little more aggressively.
"No, this is just a job!" The terrified youth admitted. See not even the help ate it.
With that CJ ducked under the bars and began to move. He knew that making the kid wet his pants was unnecessary but it was fun. CJ's smile was back on his face as his swagger returned. Not too long after he came to a maintainance room. There was no one guarding it and no one was behind the large steel double doors. Inside was all of the various circuits, wires, and breakers that operated the miles and miles of modern system that ran through this huge building. With a small snort CJ rose his hand to a near panel and concentrated. He hated doing this sort of unusual thing but he found use for it most of the time. He went to the trouble of learning the damn ability so might as well use it. [Electricity] serged through his body and shot out of his fingertips into the panel. A small charge but enough to cause a major serge to the circuit board and frying it. The lights in the room went out. Satisfied, he walked into the dark mall with a goal in mind - the red head were.
CJ had caught her sent and crept into the room she was in. Due to the lack of windows in an arcade room it was especially dark. The lights had just been turned off and if CJ knew humans, when something unexpected happened they liked to stand and silently ponder. It took a good few minutes before someone had the initiative to ask what was wrong, and even longer for them to get and idea to who to pose the question to. And like foolish humans they should be just standing there looking around with a dumb expression. CJ sighed that even with his beastly eye-sight he lacked the night vision to properly see those faces. Anyway it was time to make use of his prank.
With [stealth] he easily walked into the room. The clumsy shuffling alerted CJ that a human was near him. With agile movements and no hesitation he reached into his waistband and extracted and iron machete that he usually walked around with. It was for simple things: scrapping things off his boats, cutting tangled vegetation, slashing throats - the essentials. The human quickly toppled over and began garggling due to a major artery being cut. CJ hated the sound of dying human so he wrapped his mouth with the guy's clothes. Easily he lifted the middle aged male on top off an air hockry table and took a seat next to the body.
--16:33 hrs
The lights flickered back on and normalcy was restored. Due to such a minor misshap and the readiness of modern tech companies to supply back up parts the curcuits were easily repaired and power was restored. An apology would soon be broadcasted over the intercom in a minute or too. Thirty seconds early however a woman noticed the bloodstained body and grabbed hold of her children. CJ held up his hand and counted down. 'Three, two. . ."
"AHHHHHHHH!" The woman screamed. CJ could only chuckle as he looked for his were friend. She would have to learn that he is not to be ignored.

The lights flickered a moment, and the room was plunged into darkness. Shocked murmurs came from the humans around her, and Sarah stared up at the ceiling, pressing her lips together. The hell? She glanced around at the many humans surrounding her. She should be safe in here, under the stench of human...Right?
Fifteen minutes passed by, and still no sign of electricity...Or the other were. Sarah sighed softly, sure she was safe. At that moment, the lights flickered back on. She smiled and started to move through the crowd towards the door to the mall. Halfway there, though, a loud scream stopped her dead in her tracks. Her eyes widened, and she whirled around, moving quickly through the crowd towards the sound of the scream. She came upon a dead man on an air hockey table, throat slit. She blinked, and her gaze moved, to the man sitting beside him.
The other were. Her brow furrowed, tears flooding her eyes at the loss of another living creature. She almost turned and ran. But, who else would he kill if she did that? She glared at the man, cheeks flushing in rage. What the hell was wrong with him? She spoke quietly, sure he could hear her, even above the screams of panic. "Throwing a temper tantrum, are we? I forgot we were five." She then turned and moved away from the scene of the crime. She waited at the doors, though, knowing that he would follow her.
It didn't take long before he noticed the other were. He had no name so he supposed Red would be fine for now.
"What can I say Red, I am pretty animalistic." He retorted completely unrepentant of his deed. Damn he was a bastard. She moved away and he did not change his expression. It was somewhere between elation and mockery. This was not the first time he killed. CJ would not call himself a murderer per se, more like a casual killer. He tried to keep death to a minimum just because when you killed people you always had to deal with troublesome consequences. Things like aggressive police and investigatiors floating around like flies. Then there was the fact that suddenly people called him a badguy and always got angry at him. Sure he was the badguy but really, he did not need to be reminded of it.
The were looked down at the dying man next to him. Dying, he would bleed out in about a minute. After that he was dead for sure. Now he was just unconscious and his chance of revival was very low but he was technically alive. Some others were already calling the police, that would not help him. The guy would need a doctor now, or maybe a mystic healer. CJ shrugged before simply lifting himself off the hockey table and calmly trotting to the door. Cautious and anxious stares held the humans back. They knew that he was the killer, he was sitting next to the body. Evidence was irrelevent now.
He still walked on. His machete was tucked back into his belt. He caught the Red were outside and displayed a confident smirk.

Sarah closed her eyes as she leaned against the wall beside the door to the arcade. She knew she could save him. But, she couldn't risk it. Could she? Gulping in a deep breath of unclean air, she turned, just in time to see the man walk out of the room, smirking arrogantly at her. Rolling her eyes skyward, she pushed past him, sure to put a bit of force into it, and went into the room again.
Many humans now surrounded the dying man, trying to stop the bleeding. It was useless. None of them could help him. She pushed through the crowd towards the man. "Everyone, move! I'm a doctor!" She lied, bending over the man. Pressing her hands over the wound, she closed her eyes and concentrated. She could feel the energy warming her palms, and lacing through the gash in the mans throat. Skin crawled together, stitching itself together and becoming anew. Of course, she couldn't completely heal him. That would drain all of the energy from her, most likely making her faint. No, she would have to leave him. He was unconscious, and would be fine until the paramedics got there.
But, she had to get out of there before they did. She whirled around and slipped through the crowd, phasing through a nearby wall while they continued to stare at the body on the hockey table.
Sarah was now in the store next to the arcade. A lingerie store. She looked about, horrified, at the skimpy underwear. Was this seriously what girls wore nowadays? With a shiver, she darted through the racks and moved through the door and into the mall once again. Glancing to her left, she could see the other were a few feet from her, still at the door to the arcade. Setting her jaw, she moved towards him, growling softly. "You're terrible. What kind of person are you?" she hissed, glaring up at him.

CJ got his answer before even getting his answer. The girl quickly went back into the room and began to work on the man. No doubt some supernarural ability. He had never seen it before but he was sure that it was supernatural. It just had that vibe. His sharp gaze caught her hovering over the man's wound. He frowned as he realised what she was trying. She had to be healing him, a fruitless endeavour when the man was inches from death. He doubted the mystic capability of such a move but hey, if she thought she could.
She soon disappeared and then reappeared from the store next door. "Hmph," he murmered as his gaze focused upon her. Judging by her ability to just appear one place and be at another, she most likely was versed in some sort of magic. The kind that let CJ expell electricty. She did it earlier when she first shook him off. Teleportation? Or maybe she could move through solid objects? CJ was getting a head ache.
"A far worse one than you apparently," he admitted in response with a grin on his face. "Interesting power, you're definately different than the weres I now."

Rolling her eyes skyward, Sarah crossed her arms over her chest and raised a slender red brow as she looked up at him. Oh, yea, she agreed with the fact that she was a better person than him. And, it was true. She couldn't hurt a soul. Whereas, he could kill for no reason. Well, a reason, but not a very good one. Pressing her lips together in frustration, she turned on her heel and began to walk, sure he would follow her. He had been stalking her all day, why wouldn't he follow her now?
Well, yes, she had sought him out in the first place. But, in her defense, she did not think he would be so rude. Sighing softly, she glanced up at him from over a slender shoulder. "What are we supposed to do now? Are you gonna follow behind me like a dog all day?" Honestly, she didn't much mind. As long as she got what she wanted in the first place and he kept a safe distance, she would be fine. Her gaze shifted, searching through the many stores in the mall to find a shoe store.

CJ's arrogant smile did not relent. Somewhere in the back of his mind he thought about that man that he just slashed. The man now had a greater chance of survival because of her, and he couid not wrap his head around that. The weres he knew - every were he knew - would never attempt to purposely kill a human. That was what seperated him from the rest. However she actually tried to save a human which made her even more strange. Now CJ could only see her as an oddity that altered his perception of everything else. Like a hungry predator he serveyed this mind boggling creature and could not let her escape him so easy. Call it something akin to carnal desire.
He stayed a pace or two away, his curiosity deemed her necessary to study first. Scanning her up and down and evaluating everything he had seen but he was stopped. He took a second to process a reply before picking something adequate.
"I am going to stay so long as I haven't gotten what I need. Right now a name is on the list? Let me exchange the first curtesy - even a beast could do that right? You can call me CJ, all my. . . Acquaintances do."
Right now the were did not have anyone he could call a friend. Being a recluse with anger issues and all that did make him slightly less social. However he did at times enjoy his times away, especially when he was in such a good mood. All he really needed was a few tidbits of information.
