She smiled watching he crazy mutt do his 'trick' and laughed. "He seems to think its a cue to play." She leaned down and messed with the dogs ears then sat back up and looked at the Eli as he asked questions. She didn't mind answering most questions.... but these touched upon her past. A painful past she wish could simply be erased from Her mind.
"Yea, I made him. He was pretty simple. Animal algorithms are pretty straight forward and simple. As to what I do, I don't do anything. I'm currently unemployed." That was a partial lie, she worked occasionally as a mercenary, bounty hunter, and wetgirl. That was a secret few knew and she wasn't about to tell this stranger. "However it's what I use to do, that makes me able to make things like those."
She looked away her face stoney and cold. "I use to be in the Navy. Special Weapons and Development, to be precise. I made things and operated them, before I was dishonorably discharged. So I have plenty of experience in the mechanical field."

"Pretty straightforward, sure," Eli said with a laugh, thinking that he was going to need more coffee. Lots more coffee. Kale nosed up to his side, and he started petting the mutt without even thinking about it- he was evidently trained well. Figures the dog would train the human.
He winced visibly when she told him what she used to do, though- and wasn't that ironic, a former weapons developer ending up in an apartment that currently had anti-military action protest signs set away in a closet. He cleared his throat awkwardly and gave her a half shrug.
"Boy, aren't we polar opposites," he said, determined to still be just as kind as he had been- after all, she said she was discharged, right? So she didn't do it anymore. Nothing to be uncomfortable over. She was just passing through, anyway. "I'll, uh...bet you did a lot of travel, being in the military, right?"
He would try to find the bright side, at least. And avoid the weapons issue altogether, if he could help it.

Korina watched the male closely, petting his dog and his facial expressions. Something she said had distressed him, but not in a angry and mad way. A kind of sad way, almost. Then he spoke about polar opposites and she smiled warmly. She sipped we tea and smiled. "You know what they say, opposites attract. Besides I'm not in the military anymore. I wouldn't go back if I was given the chance." She shrugged and settled back upon her chair. She wriggled a bit thinking to herself how thin the chair felt. Perhaps it was time to buy a new pad for it.
She then sipped her tea again. "As to travel, I have been a few places but not to many. I was never deployed in to any combat situations. Not that my father would have allowed it, or my CO. I was...." She almost choked on her next words, sickened by them as the voice of her sick, demented commanding office whispered in her ear, his flesh hot against hers and the pain between ear legs flaring, "important for them to allow that to happen." She swallowed the rest of her hot tea in a gulp and looked at him. "Can....I just have a glass of water please? I feel nauseous all the sudden."
