Sol chuckled, watching the two children run around a nearby corner and he turned back to Chaos once more. "You three are the only priceless things within this castle.." He said quietly, in all seriousness, a faint smile still on his face. Sol had never realized just how empty this huge castle had been until Chaos had come with their children. He had noticed the small wings that were developing from Tyr's back and Trance's as well. They were too small for them to fly with yet, but that would change soon.. Then he would have two little devils flying around his castle and probably pulling pranks on the servants and guards if they had and potential for mischief like their parents.
"Nothing would please me more if you would, Chaos.." Sol said to her, looking into her eyes, hoping she would realize that he meant what he said, that he would be a good father to their children. If she were to take them from him now, it would break him as nothing ever had before. The two were just regular mortals since they had been conceived and born before either Sol or Chaos had ascended.

Chaos felt her face flush at Sol's statement about priceless things. she turned to give him a smile. She was really glad that this happened. It was nice, feeling like a family. This was something new to both her and Sol. And then he was looking at her and she felt her heart rate speed up as she turned her eyes to the ground in embarrassment. He hands fidgeted and picked at the end of her t-shirt.
"Of course we'll stay if you'll have us. Why wouldn't we?" Chaos said looking back up at Sol.
To be completely honest, this was all very new to Chaos. The kids and family of course, but also the falling in love thing. She had trusted Sol with her life shortly after they first met. She had thought that he was arrogant and conceited, yes, but he was also kind and trustworthy. He was someone who was always honest and blunt. He was a really good person, despite his earlier race when they had met. Chaos had always had a fondness for him, but she never really understood how deep that went. That last night may have been unplanned, but she didn't think it was emotionless or meaningless. Yes, this love thing was definitely new.
Chaos grabbed Sol's hand and lead him down the hall in the direction of the children. She followed the giggles and sounds of shoes slapping against marble. The kids were just around the corner playing around/in tall, thick curtains that hung in front of a huge window showing an overview of the land outside.

Sol felt his face flush with warmth when Chaos agreed to stay. He fell to his knees, wrapping his arms around her waist. Sol finally had his family. He was loved and loved back in return. This new feeling both filled him with joy and fear, joy because he loved them so, but fear that they may one day be taken from him. With a curt shake of his head, Sol cleared such thoughts from his mind and he stood to follow Chaos as she walked after the twins.
Sol had fancied Chaos since he had first laid eyes upon her on the streets of Paris. But at that time, she was just another woman to him. It was through their trials and experiences together that he had truly grown to love her. Her defiance, her tenacity, even her stubborn attitude in refusing his help when they had first met. All these things Sol found endearing in her and he could only hope to find himself worthy of her.
After rounding the corner he could not help but shakes his head and chuckle. The two had tangled themselves up in curtains and continually frustrated the efforts of the servants who were attempting to extract them. One servant exclaimed in triumph as she finally managed to get her hands on young Tyrant, only to have him blow a small fireball into her face that surprised her and singed her hair but did little other than to allow him an opportunity to escape.
Attempting to calm his chuckling, Sol turned to Chaos "Do you think we should rescue the maids from them now?" as he asked this another thought came to mind and he teleported away and was back quick as one could blink. Sol knelt in front of Chaos and held up a ring, an heirloom from his clan, one of the few he had managed to save after their destruction. The ring was engraved with gold lettering upon a band of platinum and set with small sapphires with one large star sapphire at the center. "Chaos Mordecai, will you do me the honor of being my wife?"

When Sol had fallen to his knees and hugged her, Chaos couldn't help but bring one hand to cover her mouth and the other to run a hand through Sol's hair. This feeling in her heart was just overflowing, it was difficult to contain. He stood and they found the children teasing maids. Tyrant had blown a fireball in the maid's face and Trance tried to copy her brother, but her fireball was weak and tiny. Tyrant kissed her cheek in encouragement. Chaos was glad that they were close.
Sol had said something about saving the maids from the twins, but before Chaos could answer, her was gone. She turned to look at where he had went, but just as quickly as he had left, he was back. And on one knee. She brought her hands to cover her mouth as he proposed. The ring he had held was a beautiful sapphire ring surrounded by a web of diamonds on a silver band, but Chaos could've cared less about what is looked like. Sol had proposed to her and never had she ever thought that this might happen. She nodded fervently. She removed her hands slowly from her mouth.
"Of course I will." Chaos said, tears welling up in her eyes. The kids, of course, noticed nothing.

Sol stood, smiling. He felt happier than he ever had before. Chaos was to be his wife, and he finally had children to be proud of. Even from this slight distance, Sol could feel the ripples of young Tyrant's power. He shook his head, wondering at the potential of this particular offspring.. Not to his surprise, when Sol searched out for Trance's power, he found hers no weaker than Tyr's own. And the way the almost resonated together, Sol found it quite believable that the two twins could one day very well bring the world to it's knees. The thought brought a smile to his handsome face.
Giving Chaos a quick peck on the cheek, Sol pivoted and began walking towards the curtains where the two twins were frustrating the maid. He reached out and caught Tyr just as he leaped from the curtains, childish glee in his blue eyes, aiming right for the stunned maid's face. Shortly after, he managed to extract Trance from the curtains with little effort and Sol set them down, kneeling so as to look into their eyes. He smiled at them "Try not to cause too much trouble for the maids, they work hard enough as is." That said, Sol pulled them both into a tight hug.
He stood back to his full height and walked back over to Chaos, still smiling, and put one arm around her, turning to look back at the twins. Is this what true happiness feels like? Sol wondered to himself.

Sol kissed Chaos's cheek before leaving her side to calm the children down. She smiled at the scene. In all honesty, she never imagined having this for herself: the kids, fiance, the permanent house (castle). It was very homely, something she could never see herself obtaining. Though it wasn't her original plans, it was still more than she could ever want.
Tyr and Trance both nodded at their father, eager to please. Chaos couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm. After a moment he came back, wrapping an arm around her and she leaned into the touch. She watched as Tyrant poked Trance's stomach and grabbed her hand leading her back to the two adults.
"Sis's stomach is hungry." Tyrant said tugging on Sol's pant leg. Trance just nodded.

Sol watched the two twins with amusement. Tyr and Trance were obviously very close, as twin brother and sister should be. They also seemed to have accepted him as their father with no questioning whatsoever. Sol knew he would always regret missing out on the first few years of their young lives, but he was determined not to miss anything else. Tyrant and Trance would not miss out on having a proper father figure in their lives, he would make sure of that.
Sol sighed when Tyr told him his sister was hungry. Lifting one eyebrow, Sol said "Oh, she is, is she? I suppose you are as well." Sol began to call for one of the maids to bring some food up to his study where they were headed but he stopped and then he turned to Chaos, face slightly flushed with embarrassment "Um, uh, what do they eat?"
After asking this question, Sol looked down, appearing slightly ashamed of himself. He had missed out on so much. If only... But no, Sol would not allow himself such thoughts. Guilt had no voice in his head and therefore it was not a legitimate emotion to him. Its dismissal was only too easy.

Chaos watched as the twins went to Sol for a means of food. She was glad that they were quickly learning to rely on him; it made them seem to trusting, but she supposed the too trusting was towards their mom and not in general. Sol called for a maid as he lead the way down the hall and suddenly stopped. He asked what food they ate and his face was flushed. Chaos smiled a half-smile of amusement.
"Well Tyrant will eat anything that has chicken in it and Trance is going through her "anything-tyrant-does-I-wanna-do" phase." Chaos said and felt an insistent tug on her jeans.
"Am not! Am not!" She said and Tyrant poked her in the cheek.
"Is too! Is too! Cause Ty is awesome!" Tyrant said poking at himself.
"You definitely are your father's child." Chaos said teasingly patting Tyrant on the head.
