Adi chuckled at the female's reaction, knowing she felt she had to be strong all the time. But he knew that there where always times when one had to let go and allow others to help instead of being stubborn. It made life...well...more full and allowed one to better come to grips with what they could and couldn't do. However he didn't want to seem rude to this beautiful female fae, so he soothed his laugh with gentle words.
"I know you had it Queren. You had it very well and all I really had to do was open the door. However what kind of gentleman would I be if I simply did that." He chuckled and glanced between her and Evanesca seeing her expression. He hefted the meat on to one shoulder and took her hand leading her towards Eva.
"Queren, this is Evanesca. Evanesca, this is Queren. Daughter of Lady Arden." He lifted her hand then let go as Eva leaned her muzzle forward against her hand, rubbing it gently up and down before pulling away and sniffing the meat causing Adi to laugh.
"Yes dear! That is dinner." He set the meat upon the ground and stepped back as Evanesca poked around in the food and found a choice morsel and chomped it down in a flash of gleaming white fangs and wet pink tongue.

He laughed at her. Did he not know the rarity of hearing a Fae thank someone? Fae never thanked, and never wanted to be thanked. They believed people would forget the debt with a mere thank you, and although a Fae would never forget their debt it was still a rare thing. Her brow furrowed slightly, offended by his laugh. She was about to let out a sharp-tongued reproach but he opened his mouth first.
He explained it was a mere act of gentlemanliness, and she let out an exasperated sigh. How could this man be so annoying but so kind simultaneously? This time she held her tongue though, not wanting the anger of the great dragon in front of her. Suddenly her hand was taken and she was being forcibly taken towards the dragon. Queren wanted to snatch her hand away, but was too afraid of the beast this man had control over, especially since she figured meat tasted better alive to the animal. Queren was quite unaware that it was just as conscious as any human, or rather in her case, Fae. She figured it was a beast, kept like a pet and trained by a human to do as they pleased. They were smart, but in her mind she had always pictured them like overgrown dolphins. Smart, but still below people.
Adikartika introduced her to the dragon Evanesca, and held out her hand. The dragon pressed it’s large muzzleagainst it, rubbing up like a cat who wanted to be pet. Queren let out a strangled squeak and was quite glad when Evanesca focused on the plate of meat. Adikartika laughed again. He seemed to laugh at almost everything, Queren couldn’t comprehend why. She watched, taking a subtle step backwards as heset down all the meat and introduced it as dinner. She had a small panic attack when she saw the sharp teeth devour the plate. “The-The meat is the dinner. The plate of meat. Not me! I’m meat but I’m not dinner. Adi please don’t let it eat me.”
She was backing up more, too afraid to make a bolt, knowing it could easily catch her and might just do so at any sudden movements.

Adikartika blinked as Queren backed up and he reached out, catching her and pulling her against himself. "Hey now, calm down Queren. Evanesca wouldn't ever eat you. She doesn't like the flesh of other beings really." He held her, firmly but gently against his chest, hands rubbing her upper arms gently in an attempt to calm the clearly distraught female. "Its alright...take a deep breath." He wondered what in the world was the matter with the girl. Dragon's didn't, at least as far as he knew, care for sentient flesh of any kind.
He rocked the female gently, inhaling her scent from the close proximity of themselves, her brilliant blue hair right there beneath his nose. He smiled, finding the scent woody and flowery at the same time and enjoyed it. Then he gently released her and turned her around. "You alright now dear? Not gonna, you know, have a mental break down or something on me?" Evanesca lifted her head from the plate of meat and looked the girl up and down from behind before thinking to Adi.
~Adi, that female does look quite delicious. You should try a piece of her.~
Adikartika's eyes went wide and his cheek flamed brilliant red and he looked over Queren's shoulder at his dragoness. She had never made a comment of such caliber....of innuendo-ism that he was in mild shock and didn't know what to say so he slowly closed his mouth and bit back his retort.
