Korina sat bolt upright in her bed, panting as if she had just run a marathon and climbed in to her comfortable queen sized bed. Her fingers where twisted in to the damp sheet, sweat covering her body. She slowly willed her fingers to relax and release the sheets and and sighed, lifting her knees beneath her sheet and propping her elbows up before placing her face in her hands as sighing deeply to steady her breathe. Her knees where in exquisite agony, but thankfully she had not awoke again screaming. Though the awakening had interrupted The Dream. That was a blessing. She lifted her head and picked up the bedside clock looking at it. 3:27 it read in a glaring blue light. She set the clock down and swung her legs out of bed and stood up. She glanced around and grabbed a pair of shorts and pulled them over her panties however she made no attempt to even out on a shirt. Delia was female, and straight after all. There was no need to e shy around her blood sucking best friend.
Thinking of Delia Korina frowned, wondering of the dear was up and possibly out hunting. Or maybe she was actually sleeping for once. It was certainly nice having her best friend living with her after all. Much better then being alone all the time. Slipping bare foot from her room, she made her way downstairs and pulled the fridge open and glanced through it. They where low on supplies needing to make a shopping run, but she grabbed a gallon of milk that was half empty and poured herself a glass. She REALLY wanted that orange juice, but milk was better for te bones...and was it her imagination but did it help stop the pain? Probably just a self wish that her body wanted. She sipped upon the glass and returned it to the fridge with a sigh and close the door.

The night air caressed Delia's skin. She hadn't bothered to cover herself. It wasn't as if anyone could see her sporting her underwear and tank top. The quietness of the area was preferred to the hustle and bustle of the city. There weren't as many chances to go animal. Delia sighed in relief. She definitely didn't need to feed. Of course the chance would certainly not be taken for granted. It was in her nature after all.
The moon shone brightly. Delia breathed in deep. Her exhale let loose as the wind whistled its way through the trees outside. She gripped the window sill of the guest room she was to stay in. This situation was new, but one question plagued her mind. How long could it stay like this? Surely things wouldn't remain peaceful forever. As wonderful as that would be, it just was statistically impossible. Something was bound to happen. It always did when Delia was concerned.
Whistles made their way to Delia's ears once more. She closed the window finally. How long had it been since she actually slept? The feeling rarely came up. It was overpowered by other feelings. Delia heard the refrigerator open and close. Korina must have been up. Delia wondered if she should say hello. Maybe it was too late for that? The dhampir bit her lip while debating. Finally she decided she would go to get a midnight snack of her own. Not her friend, but maybe something with meat. Being able to eat real food was wonderful. Not as appetizing, but good.
Delia left her room, quietly. Although knowing her companion was awake, she felt the need to stay silent during the dead of the night. Delia made her way down to the kitchen. Down the stairs and turned right. There she saw Korina drinking a glass of milk. Delia smiled. She knew of her friends weak joints. Hopefully that substance would help her. Maybe it was something she craved? Delia cocked her head. Trying to relate to her human friend was sort of a fun game for her. She would think of what they like to eat, what time of day they prefer, and much more. The thoughts were always nice. She wasn't as different as she thought she was. There were still similarities between man and beast.

Korina lifted her glass, taking a sip of her cold lactic beverage as sighing. It tasted delicious, and as she hoped even if it was just in her mind the pain seemed to slowly ease in her joints. She turned around to go sit at the table and gasped, almost leaping out of her cloths upon seeing Delia having slipped up behind her once again. Milk sloshed from the glass, spilling down the front of her shirt and stomach but she didnt get upset. Laundry was washable. She instead...laughed. She never knew how her friend managed to appear and disappear so silently, and always know when she was up. It had to be a vamprye thing, she decided.
She stopped laughing and caught her breath. "Hey Delia, you startled me. It's ok though. Did I wake you dear? Probably not hun?" She tilted her head looking at her friend. She tried to see how long ago it had been since she 'ate' but it was hard for her as se ea just getting to know Delia. She grabbed a roll of paper towels And sapped the milk from her shirt then knelt and sponged it off the floor and tossed the wet paperbinntonthe trash. "Are you hungry Delia? Is that what it is?" She stood up and smiled again at her beautiful, forever youthful house mate.
