Ciriel laid against a treebranch, glancing up at the rather clear sky beaming down upon the area the humans called 'Pioneer Woods', which existed not too far away from the Chicago airport. She had finally found another forested area to relax within, every now and then taking trips to the edge of the forested area to watch as the human race went about on its daily life. Every now and then she would spot a few on them, walking along dirt paths designated for their travel. She never used them, preferring to move between the branches to remain hidden from their eyes.
She had began to find these beings rather interesting and creative, using the raw materials they took from nature and improving upon them for their own use. While Ciriel would prefer the staple of fruit and water, she would still disguise herself as one of them, if only to examine their version of 'food' within the city. Unfortunately this had become a little more of a habit than she had hoped, for the forests of North America were not as plentiful with food as many other parts of the world.
While it did offer her a challenge, it also tended to make her rather hungry, and somewhat clumsy as a result. While she could not focus for too long on what the humans were doing, the angel girl still followed them regardless. Perhaps one of them might have food...

A flicker of movement caught Ciriel's eye, as she rolled onto her stomach to look down below. There was a young human boy walking about on the beaten path that the humans tended to use. It was hard for her to see at her distance, but it almost looked as if he was carrying a clear bag of apples. Stomach growling in hunger, she would hurry through the trees to get ahead of him, watching him constantly to see where he was going. Perhaps with a good distraction, she could nab one of the apples. As much as she didn't want to steal, she was running out of options.
Ciriel ensured that she would look 'normal' during her movements, maintaining the sweater that hid her wings, though the katana strapped to her back might avert a few gazes. Apart from the unusual bulge from her extra appendages, she would appear to be normal in almost every aspect, except perhaps for her speed through the trees.
Moving across the branches on all fours, she continued to watch the boy, but not so much as to where she was going. This caught up to her quickly as she jumped face first into the trunk of the tree in front of her. Stunned, she stumbled back, right off the branch and went tumbling straight into a bush, causing quite a commotion.

Tyler would be able to see a rather fragile figure emerge from the bushes, the source of the noise. Twigs caught in her tangled hair, she tried to brush herself off, seeming innocent enough at a first glance. Of course while facing him the weapon tied to her back would be obscured from view, though she acted as if the long katana didn't even exist.. Apart from the branches, she looked a little dinged and bruised, but other than that she seemed okay to walk.
For the moment it appeared as if she hadn't noticed being spotted, pulling herself from the bush to sort herself out, clothing and whatnot. More than anything she seemed concerned with how her sweater was positioned, as if she were trying to smuggle something underneath of it at the moment.
All of this stopped though as she raised her gaze to meet the boy that she had been following, and in panic attempted to clamber up the nearest tree, forced to grasp at bark to pull herself up onto the lowest branch. It appeared as if she were more afraid of him than he would be of her, though the strange girl would not take her eyes off the red piece of fruit he held in his hand.

Ciriel watched in silence as the human tried to calm her, to show her that he meant no harm. She did not budge though, and it wasn't until he started to place a few apples in between them that she moved, carefully. As he set the last one down, she moved from her crouching position into a standing one, before falling over backward, her legs quickly curling around the treebranch that had held her, until she was swinging upside down on the branch in a sort-of playful manner. Her hair dangled down into her face though, making it a little tricky for her to watch him.
After waiting a few more moments to see what else he did, she proceeded to swing in her position, before suddenly dropping to the ground like a cat, on all fours. Her wings were used to being free though, rather than trapped within the sweater. So they struggled to spread as she dropped down, the strange bulging from her back shifting with the movement.
Quickly though she regained her composure, moving hastily yet cautiously toward the first apple, wiping it on her sweater, before pausing to sniff the fruit. Seeming suddenly pleased, she sank her teeth into the fruit, eating as if she had been starving for days, before moving onto the next two pieces of fruit.

Ciriel paused as he neared, seeming slightly hesitant at his approach. She hadn't meant to get caught after all, her intentions having only been to follow as needed. Rarely did she even interact with the people she followed, which added to the strangeness of the situation. Though it was not a bad situation she had ended up in, as she wasn't having her life threatened in any way. Though they had only just met, and anything could happen.
Nearing closer however, Ciriel relaxed slightly, finally deciding that for the time being, the boy was not a direct threat to her. Instead he seemed as curious about her as she was of him. A bit strange to her, but the day was not over yet, and there were plenty of things for her to learn about the world of humans. Too many things in a lifetime.
Finishing off the last apple in a few quick bites, she dropped the core of the fruit along with the others on the ground, and wiped her hands off with her dirty sweater. It looked as if the clothing had gone unwashed for weeks. Looking back up at him (unable to make eye contact however due to her shyness), the girl replied: "...Ciriel... is my name..."

This Ty boy was the first one to ever ask her such questions, like if she had a family or how she got here. Neither question did she really know, so she shook her head in response. "...I don't know." replied in an almost sad tone. It bothered her that she wasn't completely certain of her origins, and of course every time she encountered someone, the question always came up.
It was then he asked if there was something he could do to help her. She didn't know why, but she felt as if she needed help, but for what reason she could not be certain. She had spent so much of her known life alone it seemed, and for good reason. She didn't want to distance herself from humans because of the fact that she was not human, but she always felt different anyway. It seemed as if she could never really fit in with the world she had come into.
Shuffling toward the stream, she sat down in front of it, seeming to shrug against her uncomfortable sweater. She wanted nothing more than to remove it and stretch, but if she did then she may startle the man who was, for now, keeping her company in the big world.

Ciriel glanced at him with noticeable undertainty, as if she was not sure if removing the sweater that hid her appendages was a good idea or not. She didn't want to scare him, or cause him to think of her different because of them. Humans seemed to be frightened when it came to the inhuman after all.
Yet he seemed so certain about his decision, wanting her to feel more like herself for some reason. It was odd for sure, not really ever encountering someone who really seemed concerned about how she was doing. Most people she had observed preferred to stay within the comfort of their own lives to reach out to others. Yet she knew there were some out there who were not like that, but instead more caring beings.
Waiting for a few moments to see if he would change his mind on his statement, Ciriel proceeded to pull her arms back in under the tight sweater, struggling to yank it off of her torso. She ended up rolling around on the ground quite a bit, before the fabric was finally free from the rest of her, and her feathery appendages flapped free in a flurry of feathers, seeming more comfortable now with their freedom.

Glancing at the old and dirty-looking sweater she had cast off in her attempt at freedom, she turned to the human boy and nodded, almost a little uncertain. It felt weird to be so 'free' in the presence of someone else, and also a little bit uncomfortable. Only once before had she revealed her true self to someone, and that was in part because she had hung around with them a lot longer than with this one. Humans were quite nosy at times.
"...Yeah." she replied, trying to stretch out her wings in an attempt to free them from the massive cramp of keeping them folded up and hidden away for so long. They twitched and fluttered slightly, but could barely open despite her best effort. With a frown she tried to pull on one of them by hand, though found this to cause quite a bit of discomfort in the affected area.
"They hurt though." Ciriel added with a small quiet sigh, before suddenly flopping onto her back. She managed to find a little bit of pleasure in the fact that it did not cause her discomfort to lay down, whereas before she would have been laying directly on top of her folded, cramped wings.

Ciriel shrugged in response to his question, and replied with another "I dont know". She wasn't sure whether or not she could hide her wings in a more natural method, but even if such an ability existed, she didn't know how to. So for the time being she would be stuck using clothing to hide the appendages from humans.
As he questioned whether or not he could look at them, she took another glance at the appendages, before moving up into a sitting position with a nod. "Okay." was all she replied with. Her short simple sentences were likely the result of her inability to completely grasp on to the concept of the english language. She knew enough to just get by, but a casual conversation seemed out of the question.
She continued to wonder why he wanted to keep helping her out, as she had nothing to really offer in return. Whatever the reason, she would be more than happy to get her winged fixed, so that the pain would go away, if only for a little while. Flexing her wings carefully, she tried to see just how far should move them without becoming too painful. Apparently it didn't take too much before the angel cringed uncomfortably.

Ciriel sat patiently as he neared, her wings flickering and twitching with every breeze in the air. The moment they were touched by his fingertips however, the appendages were quick to ruffle, unused to being touched by the hands of another. Though his gentle touch when applied to the right places, allowed her to relax, wings drooping down slightly as the knotted muscles began to loosen.
Ciriel smiled, perhaps quite possibly for the first time that Tyler could see. She felt relaxed, which was a strange feeling giving the stress of having to survive minimally over the past week. It was a nice change in pace, one she would have hoped would never end. Though it seemed as if all things did, as would the treatment she was receiving in her hurt appendages.
As he questioned the effectiveness of his treatment, she nodded. "It is." the angel responded, her wings still limp and beginning to stretch out a little more in their comfort. As for remembering anything else, she shook her head. "I woke up... weeks ago. But I didn't know anything." she tried to explain. It was probably hard to imagine waking up one morning with no knowledge of anything whatsoever.

Ciriel scratched the back of her head, trying to think back to when she first woke up. It had been almost pouring that night, and waking up in the middle of a storm was not the most preferable scenarios. It had been rather miserable, though the panic of trying to figure out where she was had trumped the fact that she had been soaking wet, and freezing cold.
"...I think you would call it 'South America'." Ciriel replied, trying to recall the first few days of her life in the jungles. It had been a very interesting experience, trying to figure out what was what, while feeling very strangely at home within the overgrown areas of the forest. When she did finally get her bearings though, she had been capable of discovering humans for the first time. Always observing, though trying not to interfere.
Somehow the human was able to make her feel much better than her panicky self when they had first met. There was just something about him that she found rather calming. "Thank you." she replied, finally finding the ability to move her wings once again, stretching them out to their full length. She still felt a bit hungry, but the sudden intake of food would make her want to sleep more than anything.

"I got here alone." Ciriel explained, wondering why it was so hard for imagine her getting here alone. Then again she did not travel by certain means to get here. She had found herself capable of teleporting, though it was a barely controlled ability that caused her to shuffle around to different places, even if she had never been to them before. It was a great option to escape danger, but not so much for travelling. "All I saw were trees... a jungle."
At least that's what humans called it. But apparently not every section of growth were called jungles. There was supposedly a distinction between things like jungles, forests, and woods. And she had come to learn that a place like this was called 'woods'. As for what they were to do, Ciriel was not certain for herself. She had never stayed with someone for more than a day, and she had no idea what happened with that girl, or if she would ever see her again.
"I could grow food..." Ciriel suggested, suddenly getting up and moving toward the apple core she had dropped. She took a couple of seeds from the core, before digging a small hole in the soil, and dropping them in. She had learned from Ca'guuror about balance in nature, but she knew it would not throw things off to grow a single tree. Ensuring that the seeds were covered, she ran her fingers across the soil, seeming lost in her own little world, as a green life force was transferred to the buried seeds, which soon sprouted, and grew as if years and years of age were placed upon the tree, soon becoming a fully grown apple tree.

"It served its purpose." Ciriel replied simply, taking a few apples from the tree, deciding to leave the rest to whatever came to find it. "It will return to the earth where it came from." It was a a strange thought, but everything that came from the earth would go back to it sooner or later. The same life force that it had taken to grow the tree would go back to the earth, and return to the cycle in which it originated. Everything was linked together, in one big web of life and death. Existence itself.
Eating two of the apples that she had grown, she listened to the offer that Tyler had to offer. It would be a nice change in pace to be able to sleep somewhere comfortable. She had never slept in a bed before, only familiar with the comfort that the outdoors had to offer, which was not that much in comparison as to what humanity had to offer.
"Are you sure?" she asked, wiping some of the apple juice away from her lips. Never before had she been given such an offer, though then again she only had one other friend in the world, and she had no idea what had become of her. And she had only met this human, would it be imposing too much?
She then smiled, shuffling a little closer toward him, before instinctively wrapping her arms around him, in a way she had seen humans do before. It was apparently a way to show affection to someone, to show thanks. And strangely enough it felt good. "Thank you."

Releasing him from the hug that she had kept him in, she took to leaving her apple cores by the base of the tree. She wanted to ensure that he wouldn't change his mind later on, as the offer would mean that she could get a better look into the lives of humans, and how they lived on a daily basis. To see the inside of one of their homes would be a unique opportunity after all.
"What do you want to do now?" she questioned, leaving the choice up to him. She didn't want to leave the woods right away, as the angel had finally gotten used to the feeling of having her wings freed from the restrictive clothing that had held them down earlier. She didn't want his work to be all for nothing after all.
Remembering that her wings were free now, she decided to test out the appendages. Stretching them out at her sides, she eyed a particular branch she wanted to land upon. Grinning, she leaped at the tree, using her wings for extra thrust to land upon the branch, flaring them out soon after to maintain her balance on the slender branch that she had just landed upon. Perching there like a bird, she spun around to see him once more.
