Ancaladar had never considered that she would not know about all of the other races. His limited encounters with humans involved Hunters who knew about everything of course, and the thought of how different her world must be than his was staggering. "Oh, well yes." he said slowly, not really sure where to start. He supposed that humans may have had myths about some of the supernatural beings, but he really was not sure.
He pondered all of the information that a human would be lacking that he had, but that really didn't help. They came from two different worlds with two different ways of seeing reality, how could he even begin to reconcile them? "There are a great many creatures that I assume your kind do not know about." He began, deciding to provide as much information as possible. "Vampyres, werebeasts, minotaurs, centaurs, gorgons, shapeshifters, draconians of course." he began, not sure if he was missing anything.
"We all have found some way or another to avoid your kind over the years, since you have managed to attain dominance despite your relative frailty and lack of powers." he smiled once again, gazing down at the minute human. "To be honest I rather admire the way your race has advanced, using their minds in place of strength to overthrow even beings as powerful as dragons."

"I suppose when all you have is intelligence and the ability to advance, you make things work." Red started, seeming to stare off into space. "The Greeks once believed that the Titan Prometheus was the one who gave Humans the ability to advance in intelligence, and make use of their many skills." Red explained, though when she recieved a blank stare in response, she grinned sheepishly and rubbed her head.
"Sorry, I spent a few years studying the mythology of the world when I was younger. Since Humans don't understand everything about the world, they would create stories to explain what they didn't know, the biggest and most contradictory of course is where life originated." Laying back down against the ground, she looked at Ancaladar once more, eyes glinting with curiousity.
"Do you think I could meet these different species? We know very little about them. As with dragons, everything we have learned is through writing and storytelling."

"My dear, for humans it is difficult to find the supernatural sometimes." Ancaladar said with a quiet chuckle. "For us it is more often a problem to avoid each other. There are only so many places in the world where Mankind does not absolutely dominate, and they are becoming ever more crowded with supernatural refugees." he explained, growing slightly depressed at the thought.
"There are of course many who can change their appearance to blend in with your kind, but for those of us who are obviously inhuman it is not so easy." Ancaladar considered his ability to be completely invisible and outright laughed, the sound echoing across the lake and drowning out the sound of rain. "Of course there are other ways to avoid notice."
After all of that Ancaladar realized that he had yet to answer the girl's question. "What I am saying is that it would be easy for me to locate some supernaturals if it is your desire to meet them, though you really should not be calling them 'they'." he smiled. "You are not entirely human yourself. Humans are now they, supernaturals are 'we' to you."

The thought of exploring more of the world's hidden treasure brought a smile to Red's face, to venture forth into the unknown and discover the secrets that the many lands possessed. Of course the supernatural races wouldn't likely welcome her presence, being more closely related to a Human. But she was sure she could gain some kind of trust, if she had already done so with the dragon before her. "It'll take me some getting used to think of myself as not being Human." Red admitted. After all, apart from the apparent ability to communicate with dragons, there seemed to be no other differences between her kind and Humans.
"I would greatly appreciate it. I've always wanted to explore the world's legends, with dragon's of course being the most interesting." Red explained, blushing slightly at the statement. "If you were to help me, I'm sure I can find a way to repay you in kind." she offered, watching his scales gleam in the rain.
Out of curiousity, she extended her hand outward, wanting to know for herself what a dragon's scales felt like. She stopped herself however in restraint, not wanting to be rude. "...Do you mind if I...um..." she stated, a little embarrassed to ask. She had always figured that a dragon's skin was similar to that of a snake, smooth with interlocking scales, rather than the roughness of a fish's scales. However, as Ancaladar was an aquatic dragon, there was no telling whether his would differ or not.
Ancaladar chuckled and rolled further onto his side, exposing the softer scales of his belly. "By all means." he said with a nod, understanding her curiosity. To be honest he had almost as many questions as she did, but he was in no hurry. Dragons lived a very long time after all and he would discover what he wanted to in due time. "I would be more than happy to help you discover the world that has been invisible to you so far."
He paused, considering where this casual agreement was heading. He had rarely ever left the Great Lakes before, and now he was promising to follow this woman he had just met around the world and show her how supernaturals lived. He actually felt strangely happy about the thought. "I have often heard it said that each Draconian only ever gets close to one dragon..." he began, not really sure what else to say on the matter.

Somehow, seeing Ancaladar roll onto his side like that reminded Red of a cat, making her feel warm inside. With his permission, she crawled forward on her hands and knees, before reaching out with delicate fingers. Brushing them against his sides, she was surprised to feel how smooth his scales were, confirming her belief that they would be just like a snake's, which would be useful in his case for reducing water drag.
With a small grin, the tips of Red's fingers moved downwards, to the surface of his stomach, and began to lightly scratch his stomach, smiling at how soft and tender it was. She couldn't help it, she just saw him as an oversized cat, and it made her feel very good inside as she continued the motion.
"What do you mean... like...form a bond?" Red questioned, sitting beside him as she continued to scratch his stomach. She could recall a couple of children's movies released a few years ago, depicting the idea of a 'chosen' human forming a bond with a dragon. As far as she could recall, they had many adventures. The girl had always imagined going out on some magnificent journey, the idea always appealing to her.

Ancaladar shrugged, the movement seeming incredibly ungainly on such a large animal. "I have simply heard that each Draconian gets a single chance to ally themselves with a dragon in a lifetime. I have never heard any specifics because I do not know of any other dragon in these lakes who has found a Draconian." most of them never even approached anyone who was not a dragon, they were a tight knit bunch on the Lakes.
The great dragon stretched out as his belly was rubbed, the sensation unexpectedly pleasant. "I for one have always dreamed of experiencing such a thing. So tell me my dear Red, is there anything in particular that you wish to see first?" the world was full of supernatural oddities after all, and there was no end to the interesting things they could go and find.

Red's smile grew bigger as she saw his enjoyment in having his stomach scratched, reaching out with her other hand to add to the feeling. She had never known about such restrictions about being bonded to a dragon. It seemed as if there would be no rules, but what did she know? She had never even heard about the term until today, so as far as she was concerned, he was the expert on the subject.
"There's time for that later, but I do have a proposal..." she started, looking over at his face as she continued the movement with both hands. They both had something the other wanted, he to experience having a Draconian, and her to live her life with a Dragon, and explore the unseen world before her. Plus they both enjoyed one another's company, seeming to have similar views on certain subjects. It only made sense that the two of them could fit together very well after all. So her next words seemed appropriate to her. "Why...Why dont we... bond together?"

Ancaladar raised his head from where it had rested while his belly was being rubbed, looking at her with one scaly eyebrow raised. "Because as far as I am aware you and I have already done that." he replied, voice filled with amusement. "The stories always claim that when a Draconian and a dragon meet, and both have their hearts open and accept each other, then they are bonded." he shrugged. "I believe it is rather like falling in love, it just happens."
"But since we have that out of the way, I have a proposal for you as well." Ancaladar said with a wide, toothy grin. It was the one thing that he could never live without, and also what he had always assumed humans would find so attractive about bonding with his kind. "How about when the rain stops, I take you on a little flight?"

"Huh, I would have imagined something more would have happened." Red frowned, figuring that there would be some sort of flash of light, or some intense feeling that would go with it, but as far as she knew, there seemed to be nothing. "But I can't complain, I love the idea." she grinned, scratching his stomach even harder now.
Upon listening to his proposal. Red stopped for a moment, her eyes seeming to light up at the thought of flying through the air. "I would love that!" she grinned, before looking up to the sky, hopeful that the weather would soon clear up so that they could go. She had always wanted to experience flying on a dragon. Then again she had always wanted to experience free flight as well, but for now this was the best thing she could do. "I can't wait, I've always wanted to!"

Ancaladar nodded, laying his head down in the sand and staring out across the lake as the falling rain churned the surface water. He did so love the rain, especially when it rained as heavily as it was now. However when he thought about taking this interesting young woman on a flight he found himself hoping the rain would end soon. "Well I would be more than happy to grant your wish, but it would be better with clear weather." he paused, considering that he usually only flew during storms so he would not be seen. "And at night come to think of it. And if we are going flying tonight I am going to need to sleep now." he closed his massive eyes, breathing starting to slow. "Wake me up when the rain stops, or if another bears wanders by." he said with a smile. "I am kind of hungry."

"That's alright, though to be honest I'm tempted to take a nap as well." she replied with a small smile, looking up at the sky once more. It could take time with the way the clouds looked, the rain likely to stay for awhile. With that in mind, she curled up next to Ancaladar's stomach, listening to the dragon's slowed breathing, sounding like a rumble to her. Fortunately his wing was still spread out too, giving her some sheltered from the rain coming down from above.
"I'll try to wake up when the rain stops..." she added, letting out a small yawn as she closed her eyes, feeling quite happy for the first time in quite awhile. Part of her life's dream was now complete, and it made her feel quite happy. With that, she dozed off, finding herself a new best friend in this world.
