She swam over to a hidden place on the shore hoping nobody would see her. It was night anyways so who would be out? Her mission was to find a book. She would only read it once considering she can't take it into the water.
Once she got to shore she transformed. Being a human was just plain awkward. But there was one problem. She was naked. She had no idea what she was gonna do about that. She crawled over and peered over the rocks that hid her. Somebody had left their bikini. "Who was dumb enough to leave their bikini?" She said to herself. She ran thirty feet across the beach to get it. She grabbed it and put it on. This would be good enough for now.
She walked off the shore and onto a boardwalk. There were some people there but none of them had seen what just happened. The little shops were cute and she wanted to go in, but Athanasia knew she should just keep walking.
She walked off of the boardwalk and into the streets of the city. There was nobody out. The city was quiet except for a few shops but Athanasia had no interest in the drunk people that came out of them. Soon she started to run. She wanted so badly to find money but she couldn't figure out how. "Now how was she going to find some money?" She thought out loud. As she was running she slipped and fell. She scraped her arm on a the cement ground. It stings like crazy and Athanasia had no idea what was happening. She had never scraped herself before.

The male walked alone down the street. He paused thinking as he contemplated the few drunkards. He blinked watching as a female ran past clad in nothing but a bikini. He raised and eyebrow and followed the female slowly, tapping the butt of the pistol resting upon his right hip, the matching pistol upon his left hip. As the female tripped and obviously injured herself.
He stepped closer and watched as a drunkard stumbled towards the female. Watching closely he waited till the male stepped in a puddle of water and shifts the water beneath his feet making him fall. Stepping between the female and man, he drew his right pistol and pointed it at the man before uttering a single word. "Scat..."
The man scuttled off and he turned extending his left hand to the girl to help her back to her feet.

Athanasia grabbed the man's hand and stood up. She was confused as to why the man helped her. He kind of scared her when he pulled out the pistol at the drunk man. She wasn't sure what he would do with it next. Did he want to kill her? She didn't understand why. Questions filled her head. She noticed the stinging pain coming from her arm and the blood spilling from it. She grabbed hold of it but just made the sting worse. She let go of her arm and stared at the man. She didn't know if she should say anything so she just looked down. Looking down made her notice that she was only wearing a bikini and embarrassment flushed her face. She took a couple of steps back and moved her white hair in front of her face to keep the man from seeing her blushing cheeks. She walked over to a bench and sat down, unsure of what to say or do.

A new city, a new night, and yet the feelings of hunger were still the same. Delia had her arms crossed. Seriously, it's like she never even enjoyed that man on the boat. Well, he certainly enjoyed her. Luckily he passed out from anemia before much else could happen. A small blush tried to form on Delia's pale skin. At least she got enough blood to survive. The drunkard would wake up the next day confused as usual. And by then, Delia would be gone. Unless she got into some trouble. That happened sometimes. Especially when there were those that got hurt.
Just thinking about the idea of someone skinning their knee made Delia's mouth water. It was almost as if she could smell the blood. Wait a minute... She could. Eyes widened as she looked around. There was a man with a pistol and a woman in nothing but a bikini. The strange scenario made no effect on Delia. She was entranced by the smell. She began to walk across the street. It probably would have been smarter if she looked beforehand, but the delicious aroma had killed her senses.

Athanasia looked up to see a woman walking towards her. The woman woman was very pale. She was so pale you could almost see through her. Her eyes were ice blue. She had dark make up around them. She looked different. But she was beautiful. She looked hungry though. Very hungry. She looked almost like she was in a trance. Athanasia was still confused why the man was here. And now a woman. What is this strange place, she thought to herself. What did these people want with her? Everything about the above sea land confused her. She thinks that it is too dry, too active and most of all, too noisy. Athanasia stood up and looked at both the man and them woman in the eye. She tried to cover her arm. She was embarrassed and wondering if she wasn't acting like a normal human. "Who are you people and what do you want?" She said.

Alekzander chuckled at the female's reaction. He could tell exactly what she was. Her naiveity upon land customs, the ackward way with which she walk, the bikini almost to small for her that had clearly been scavenged off the beach. Oh, and that SMELL! Although human and his scent was not like that of other beings, that wet smell; that smell of water and ocean, of the essence of life upon the planet, of water permeated this girl. All pointed to the painfully obvious: mermaid.
Alekzander said nothing about it however and simply helped the girl stand. He had no healing powers to help her arm, so instead he placed his hand over the injury and summoned forth a small orb of water beneath his palm. Pure water, roughly room tempature it was and he allowed the water to press against the wound, washing away the blood and soothing the pain slightly. His head turned as another female approached, and his smile grew expectionaly wide.
This girl he had no clue as to what she could be. Pale, she was but anybody could have pale skin. Magestic icey blue eyes gazed upon the mermaid next to him hungrily and his smiled twitched slightly. Now now, he wasn't going to have a new friend killed before him pointlessly, especially by such a gorgeous creature as this blonde pale female. He spun his pistol one direction upon his index finger, then the other direction clearly showing off and holstered the weapon in a single fluid motion before extending his right hand to the blonde mystique.
"Hello ma'am. A pleasure to make the acquaintance of such a magnificent, beautiful lady such as yourself." He didn't wait for her to take his hand but leaned forward and slid his had upon here's and lifted it to eye level. With her hand facing up, fingers bent gently over his index finger and hand he place a soft gently kiss upon the backside of her knuckles. "Alekzander, at your service ma'am."
Upon the simple touch, Alekzander used his ability to look in to the past of anything he touched to glean information from the blonde female. A vamprye, one who killed when needed but was not sadistic nor enjoyed it. He stopped reading there, having found what he needed. "Are you hungry ma'am? Do you need some...uh fresh HOT food?" He asked pointedly hoping she got the hint he knew and didn't care as he continued to hold her hand just beyond his lips so his warm breath caressed her knuckles.

It was painfully obvious that Delia was standing out. Her hunger grew from the delicious scent. The man had touched the young injured almost meal to be. After his touch it seemed like the smell had almost dissipated. As to not make herself look any more awkward, she stopped near enough to the two. Before she could speak her hand was taken by the man. A blush attempted to form on her pale skin. The male was good looking, of course, but intimidating to her.
A small croak came from her throat in an attempt to speak to this man politely. Delia bit her pale pink lips. She let him kiss her hand. It was a change from the roughness of most men she was accustomed to. It was good he was here. The need to attack that poor girl was overpowering. The hunger still remained, however. There was just no target for her hunger.
As these thoughts continued she heard the man, Alekzander, ask her a question. It was quite shocking. Usually it took a little longer for people to realize what she was. Perhaps he's dealt with her kind before? Delia smiled a little. "I don't NEED it... I'm just craving a little something." Delia whispered. Guilt was the only thing she could feel right now. If she hadn't made a promise to herself to avoid killing, this problem wouldn't happen. There were no regrets for that though. Rather hungry than a murderer.
Delia looked at her hand still being held by Alekzander. "Oh, uhm... My name is Delia. I'm sorry. I can fix her up, if that would be okay." The words stumbled out of her mouth. Delia pointed to the girl on the bench with her free hand. The poor dear smelled of sea water. She probably needed a towel as well to dry herself off. Delia wished to help her as an apology for her almost slip up.
It wasn't usual that she talked to anyone that wasn't her prey. Usually, Delia tried to avoid people. However, after feeling the warm breath hit her knuckles, she wasn't sure if her reasons were good enough. The feel of a man could be nice after all. And yet she was still unsure of his intentions. The numerous scenarios danced through her mind.

Athanasia's arm didn't sting as bad after the man touched it. The touch was wet though. He had used a power. But it made the sting better so she didn't care. She watched as the woman walked closer. She stared in shock as the man grabbed her hand, introduced himself and kissed it. She had never seen someone who acted this way before. It was strange, but she liked the way he acts. She also found out his name. So his name is Alekzander. Athanasia stood there just studying the two people. She watched as the man, still holding her hand, asked her a strange question making it obvious that she was a vampyre. She stared closely at the woman's mouth. She smiled a little before answering slightly revealing her pointy teeth. Athanasia curiously watched as the woman talk waiting for the woman's name. Finally the woman had said it. Delia. It was a pretty name. She felt awkward just standing there so she took a step forward. "I-I'm Athanasia. Pleased to meet you." She stumbled. She stuck out her hand at Delia and Alekzander and hoped she wasn't being too awkward.

Alekz smiled as each girl gave their name. "Athanasia, and Delia. What beautiful names. Especially yours dear." He kissed Delia's hand once more then released her and stepped to Athanasia as she stumbled. He placed a hand on her shoulder steadying her. "Delia, if you would be so kind to heal this lady, for unfortunately I do not have that ability." As he spoke, he created a orb of water around Athanasia's head, causing it to slid between her lips and in to her lungs. The water would allow her to breath momentarily like see was once again submerged but the oxygen would be depleted rapidly. This was an attempt to make her feel more comfortable.
Having helped the mermaid he turned back to Delia. He smiled charmingly at her then nodded. "If it is merly a little thirst, I offer you what you desire if you can prevent from killing me." He slowly raised his wrist to her, exposing the vessels there that carried his life liquid with in, offering her a drink of it to quench her thirst with out causing anybody harm.

Delia gently took Athanasia's hand and shook it. These two were kind. "It's nice to meet you both." Delia's voice was still whispered. The second kiss to her hand made Delia look away from the man in embarrassment. No man has ever been so nice to her before. She listened to his request and nodded. Delia took hold of Athanasia's wound. Before the scent could reach her nose, the wound was sealed. "That should take care of it." Delia smiled slightly. She took a step back to look at the two.
Alekzander began to speak again. Delia's expression showed her shock once more. The man was offering his blood to her? How odd. It was obvious he wasn't a mere human. The water coming from him showed Delia what he was. When he gave Athanasia a drink, it confused her, though. Was this girl not human? Delia shook her head slightly.
"I can promise I won't kill you...but...not here. Not out in the open." Delia looked at him with pleading eyes. The last thing she needed was some passerby see her indulging in Alekzander's blood. The thought was so tempting. Delia had to bit her lip to stop from biting into his delicious looking veins right there.

Athanasia shook Delia's hand with delight. She considered her a friend now. She stared at Delia as she held her would and sealed it. It felt so much better. It took away all the pain. Everything. She was so happy that Delia healed it. "Thank you" She said. She smiled in appreciation.
She looked up as Alekzander began to speak to Delia. Was he really offering blood to her? "How strange" She thought to herself. Why would somebody want to do that? She watched again as Delia spoke back to the man. She promised not to kill.. Why would a man put himself in this kind of position. Delia looked desperate though. Very desperate. She stared hoping that her face did not show how surprised she was. She was still so confused as to why somebody would offer their blood to a vampyre. It was so odd. But different was good. Right?

Alekzander smiled and glanced around. He didn't see anybody around and nodded at Delia. He glanced over at Athanasia. He winked at her confused look then pointed over at an open door way. "Lets slip in there ladies so we can have some privacy shall we?" He walked towards the door way and stopped outside it and motioned for them to go in first as he looked up and down the street again. He waited until a single other person slipped inside a house with out glancing at them. He waited for the girls to come inside and then followed them in making sure they where safe.
He looked at the mermaid first and chuckled. "You seem confused dear Athanasia. What is it you seem so confused over?" He looked back at the beautiful vampyress. He smiled and chuckled. "You do seem so hungry dear. As you have made your promise not to kill me, I offer you my blood to quench your thirst again Night Mistress. It does nobody any good to have you wandering around thirsting." He chuckled again, looking between the girls. "So what are you doing upon land my dear fishy lass?"

Athanasia held herself trying to get warm as a cold breeze swept across her stomach chilling her down to the bone. She was no longer confused. She felt good to not be confused anymore. She followed Alekzander as he walked toward an open door way while looking over at Delia to see if she would come. She looked up as Alekzander started talking to her.
"Oh, I just didn't know what kind of reason you would have to give your blood to a vampyre. She listened to Alekzander as he started talking to Delia. She now saw his reasoning and it made since. Nothing she would ever do herself. She smiled as he chuckled and started talking to her again. Oh.. She had completely forgotten why she had come onto this horrible land when her and Alekzander and Delia started talking.
"I was looking for something. You see I am very interested in the moon and it's phases and just everything about it. I just figured I would come up for an hour or two to get a book. Find out more. You know. Find books. Stuff like that. And what would you be up to in this town." She said with a smile.

Alekzander chuckled at Athanasia. "The moon huh? The second most influential celestial body upon this planet, aside from the Sun. Contrary to popular belief it holds vast power, pulling upon our planet slightly causing tides of the ocean, as well as influencing many other things not even taking in to account the power it holds over our literature such as the mythical werebeasts. I suppose I could help you acquire such a book if you truly wish for one. It would be easily acquired at any bookstore or library." He chuckled and shook his head.
He turned to the mermaid and tilted his head. "Why is it you are so interested in the moon, my dearest wet one. Also...as I suppose you already have noticed I have a small control over water and would be more then willing to use my talents to extend your stay amongst us dry, legged freaks." He winked at her, grinning as he was clearly teasing her slightly.
