Alekzander tossed the lump of burnt wood away and groaned. The wood clunked against a wall and plopped in to the ankle deep water. He kicked the next few pieces of wood out of his way and huffed. Searching for this damn scroll was becoming a nuisance in these ancient catacombs amidst the rats, mold, and dead. He had been careful not to disturbed the skeletal remains but had searched several of the tombs just in case. He had followe a rumor down here, that an ancient scroll taken from the once mighty Library of Alexandria had been buried with a deceased librarian. The rumor was that the scroll would lead to immense wealth and possibly power.
Alekzander screamed and swept a hand across the chamber and sending the water upon the ground cascading about and sweeping the bones, wood, and refuse away. He groaned and rubbed at his temples wondering what he should do next. That old hag had lead him to believe it was down here, so where was it! He was starting to become extremely agitated and as he did the water aroun him began to boil and froth wildly.

Tristen moved through the passages with stealthy step, silence was his motion as he moved through the dusted passages. His soft blue gaze slowly scanned the floor, bones, dust, wood, it was aged and abandoned besides the freshly destroyed steps upon the ground. The Vampire sniffed at the stale air, a fresh scent, so recent he could taste it on his tongue resided before him. A male, sweat, anger boiled within him, it wasn't moments later that scream of frustration echoed to his vampiric ears as his orbs narrowed. His form moving with speed incomprehensible to mortals, a black blur through the darkness one without heightened sight would not be able to discern the male from the shadows. As he moved through the passages listening to the resounding noises and following the scent. As he reached the entry way, aged wooden door tossed wide open. He remained in the shadows upon the side of the outside door frame peeking in.
His hand dropped to the hilt of his katana on his left hip, his form covered in black from head to toe. A black trench coat with two tails splitting down the middle, a black button down, the top two buttons undone revealing the collar bone beneath. His black jeans form fitting yet allowing for smooth and unencombered motion. His gaze dropped to the grown, the water within the room seemed to be boiling and the man seemed to be frustrated. His scent wasn't specifically human either it was off. Tristen frowned, he wouldn't be able to do his own private inspection with this man in the room. He allowed his orbs to rove over the room as he thought to himself, it was tossed about as if some one had been frantically searching about everything tossed except.
His form entering the room and glancing about the water that swirled about their feet, he didn't give the man any introductions."Stop you're making this mess even worse." his orbs flickering about quickly as glanced beneath the table showed a small hole. His form moving forward,"Move quick." he commanded with a shooing motion. His form vine forward as he gripped the table, ragged and dusted, wooden and broken, he pushed the table away and tossed it aside. There upon the ground was a small sigil, a triangle rested upon a brick within the floor work. His orbs locked upon it, as he crouched down and pressed the sigil the brick sliding inwards the ground beginning to quiver and shake as the ground dropped a cloud of dust erupting about them as a brick stair well appeared leading into a immense and deep darkness. His form strayed watching as water ran down into the passage below, as he thought to himself. His orbs flickering about,"Hm, So this isn't the library.." this was more spoken to himself as he looked to the other male for a moment before smirking and slowly proceeding down into the darkness.

Alekzander watched the male appear seemingly from no where. He wasn't disturbed by this. Vampryes, dark elementals, and many others enjoyed the darkness. Others could manipulate it and create it as well to blind people. What annoyed him a tad was the quick barking command. The male flipped the a table and opened a passage in to the floor. His beloved water flowed down the stairs and by sensing the water he smiled. Twenty steps downwards then a wide flat surface. That was all that he could gather in this way however.
Something was disturbing him however. Not the strange male carrying a sword, nor the steps going downwards. What bothered him his the fact one of his powers had not worked upon a single object with in this room. He should have been able to see the steps there simply by touching the stones. He should have seen the history of this area at a single touch, and known the stairs hand been there despite the dim light. It was why he had so thoroughly trashed the place as well. Not only seeing of the scroll had been here but also trying to gather a read. He decided to look in to that later.
He followed the other male in down the steps. Using his ability to control water he lifted several droplets in to the air. Forming them in to flat disk like shapes he positioned several going down the steps and used them to reflect and refract the light, lighting the darkness of the library around them. He finally began to inquire the other male as to his purpose. "Excuse me sir...is there something I could help you with? Or should I simply place a bullet in your brain now and leave you here? In the dark to never be found again?" Although he had both of his double barreled pistols upon him (holstered upon side holsters beneath both his arms) he had not actually made a move to draw them. No, he had the water all around him, and the ability to create more if he wanted.

He glanced about, as he slowly moved down the stairs. His gaze cut through the darkness as he saw without issue, after reaching the bottom of the stairs. He gazed about and glanced at the walls, now illuminated by small water droplets suspended within the air illuminated the entire room. Book shelves covered the walls, dusted and aged yet seemingly intact beside that fact as if time had hardly effected the area below. He glanced around as he heard the male behind him following him as he looked about, a table rested within the center of the room. This one was sturdier, a small chest rested within the center. As he was about to approach the table, a voice presumably the man from earlier spoke.
Tristen sighed and turned around and looked at the man, a brow perking as he was threatened."No, you can't help me because you couldn't even find this place by yourself." his arms spreading out words as he gestured to the hidden room."Now try to be useful and don't threaten me again." he growled, keeping eye contact for a second before turning and approaching the table. A small trunk common in design lay there, Tristen opened the trunk and glanced within at the small scroll within. A blank look remained upon his features as he tugged the scroll out, and took off the ribbon from upon it. Undoing the scroll he read it over before aloud,"Here within, is what you seek. Hidden upon the earth. Seek the symbol of the beast. In darkness and yet easy to find is the words of the beast. Should you choose wrong it is your demise, search for the eye hidden amongst the crowd and find the path within it's watchful gaze." he grumbled as he tossed the paper upon the table and glanced about before looking to the male."It's a riddle..." he mumbled as he slowly glanced about at the walls, his mind dissecting the words with surgeon like precision as he thought to himself.
His arms folded over his chest in thought as he leaned agains that table,"The symbol of the beast can safely assumed to be the same sigil from earlier." he spoke aloud."Hidden upon the earth.." he stood tall once more and looked about,"The symbol, it's on a brick or something like that again." he glanced about,"But if I choose wrong something will happen." he glanced at the other man,"Time to be useful, do you sense any hidden pockets of water anywhere here? A booby trap designed to flood this place if the wrong symbol is chosen, check." he watched the man and waited as he thought to himself, hopefully even though he was Vampire he didn't want the scroll to be destroyed in the process.

Alekzander rolled his eyes at the male. Typical supernaturals always thinking themselvebs better. However he listened intently to the riddle and began walking along the walls inspecting then symbols there upon. He smiled and looked at the other male. "In could try to detect them, but why would I? It could just as easily be gas, or jets of corrosive acid. Why don't we be intelligent about this."
Smiling the male now drew one of his pistols. Flipping it over he held the barrel and walked to the first symbol, drew his fist back and struck the metal upon the stone. A sharp crack sounded and Alekzander shook his head. Moving to the next symbol he rapt the butt of his pistol in the stone resulting in the same effect. Stepping to the third mark he struck the stone a third time, but was greeted with a new tone, a much deeper and reverberating tone. He grinned and holstered his pistol. "There we have it, our doorway. However I still think for safety reasons we should stand back...."
He gestured at the pin prick holes across the ceiling and walls exactly where somebody would stand to press upon the symbol. He slowly took several steps back then raised an eyebrow at the other male and waited for him to move. "Want the honor or shall I depress it."

A brow perked as he watched the other ma and simply shook his head, what a brute. His hands slipped into his pockets as he thought to himself, after a few minutes Tristen noticed the male had found the correct symbol after striking it and some others as well. He sighed and stepped forward noting the pin pricks, his nostrils flared as he smelled steel, as well as a rather rancid scent poison."I'll do it, poison laced blow darts are there." he muttered as he took a deep breath and stepped in front of the man. His form moved with lighting speed, a blur of motion as he stepped forward and pressed the sigil inwards before taking a step back. It would seem as if he hadn't moved at all as the wall's rumbled and quaked, seconds after he had depressed the switch darts shot through the holes and smashed into the grounds and walls where someone would have been standing with little to no time to move.
As the the bricks began to move apart, sliding away within rested a small scroll. His hand snatching it from it's dust covered home, undoing the ribbon upon it he gave a quick skim and smiled."This is it..." he chuckled before sliding it into the pocket within his trench coat."Thank you for your help." he looked to the male and smiled,"Now goodbye." he gave the man a nod of his head before moving with vampiric speed, the male vanishing from the chamber below and moving upwards up the stairs and retracing his steps back through the tunnels he was once again outside. His nostrils flared, as he gazed about and looked to his horse a black stallion tied not far off. His form moving, as he untied the creature and slipped upon it's saddle with a chuckle upon his grin before turning about and attempting to remember where the Hag's hut was from here.

Alekzander watched the male open the spot upon the wall. The male, clearly not human, grabbed the scroll and thanked him then bolted. Alekzander knelt an grabbed up four of the darts and before leaping back to his feet and following the male quickly. He moved back up the stairs and out of the crypt just as the male mounted a horse to leave.
Alekzander narrowed his eyes and with a flick of his wrist sent two of the poisonous dart at the horse, catapulting them like tiny crossbow bolts with water behind them. He listened to the horse scream, and he stalked towards the fallen beast and the male. His hands drew his pistols from beneath his hands, and he held them up and ready to fire upon the male as he summoned water from thin air behind himself to attack and defend with.
"I may not be immortal like yourself, however don't let that get to your mind. I have meet vampryes before. Were-creatures as well, and I'm still alive. Now, I need that scroll and I'm not gonna leave here or let you leave with it. Now, had it over please."

As he prepared to leave heartbeats, footsteps, and breathing touched his ears. It wasn't long before the male was standing before him, he saw the swift movements of the male and felt the heavy thuds of vibration as the horse was attacked and felled. His form dropping down and rolling from beneath the horse before he was pinned. His form spinning about, as his right hand gripped the hilt and left hand gripped the top of the sheath. His orbs narrowed upon the male as he listened to him speak, before frowning slightly. His fangs lengthening as he the moisture from the air converted into water about the other male.
Tristen bared his fangs, lightening crackling about the male sparks leaping about his body as well as through the surrounding air."Unfortunately, I can't five you this scroll." his form standing as he looked to the male, as he held the hilt gently yet firmly."This scroll is possibly the key to my answers, I can not let you just take it." As the pair faced off, he waited the electricity crackling about the male as they stared at one another."It seems we have come to a cross in the roads..so what's your move?" a brow arched as he looked at the man.

Alekzander watched the male and grinned as he gripped the hilt of the sword upon his side. "Go ahead, draw. The back of my bullet will be exiting the rear of your skull before it leaves your sheath." Sensing the other male summoning electricity around himself, for Alekzander could as well control the element, he caused the water to behind himself to flow across the ground coating the male's feet across from him.
A brilliant orb of electricity formed at the end if his right pistol and he aimed it at the puddle of water the Vamprye was standing in. "Bad move friend...now...if you don't mind..." A tentacle of water flowed from the puddle and slid beneath the jacket of the male. It lifted the scroll and with a flick that soaked part of the male's coat it flew to Alekzander. A single fluid movement holstered his left pistol then caught the scroll. He smiled at the man as the water slowly soaked in to the sand around them and the orb of electrical energy dissipated but his second weapon never faltered. Alekzander smiled. "Well now, this is very interesting." He had suddenly been able to use his ability to see the history of objects at a single touch again and he was looking at the past of the scroll with in his hand. So far it was very interesting.

Tristen narrowed his gaze as he watched the other male quickly make his move, he had been distracted by the orb of lighting at the head of the pistol that he had hardly noticed the puddle of water at his feet. As he took a step back, the splash caught his attention, orbs dropping to look down he watched as the scroll was stolen by a tendril of water. His reaction using his heightened agility and speed was to leap backwards flipping over unfortunately, he had not moved in time. The scroll stolen, he landed in the sand and glared at the other man as he caught it from mid-air. His nostrils flaring as he took in the breeze, the oncoming scent was mostly the other man but still he smelled aged power coming off of the scroll.
As the man touch the scroll, he seemed to be distracted. Almost as if he were watching something, orbs locked upon the man's frame. Tristen looked at him,"What do you see?" his hand sliding away from the hilt of his blade as he watched him. He msut be using some sort of ability the none to present glaze over his eyes was irritating to say the least.

Alekzander blinked and smiled at the male as he grinned. He looked at the scroll and looked at male across from him. "You still want this scroll bub? I don't need it anymore know that I know what's inside it." He tossed the scroll to the male and laughed before turning away. He slipped his gun in to his holster and closed his eyes thinking of what he had seen.
"With in, the scroll contains the instructions to create a sphinx. We would need several items first however and will have to work to get them and preferably together. We will need a scarab bettle from an Egyptian tomb, a whole saffron crocus from Crete, an ounce of brine salt from the Dead Sea, and a piece of electrum ore from the bottom of Lake Victoria."
But why would that old hag want to create a sphinx? What would be the point of creating one of the most powerful being from Greek mythology?" Alekzander said this almost to himself thinking about it then shrugged. "Doesn't matter, I'll just get the stuff and go from there." Alekzander turned as he finished babbling like a brook to himself then looked at the other male. "Well, are we gonna fight all day? Or shall we get a move on cause we seem to have a lot of traveling to do as well."
Post by Tristen Hail on Jul 20, 2013 15:38:59 GMT -5
Tristen captured the scroll in midair, he had a feeling it was useless as he captured it and began to glance it over. As he read the male spoke, his lips tightened as he read off each ingredient needed for the ritual to create the Sphinx the other male spoke them aloud. He stowed the scroll away in a pocket within his jacket and thought to himself. As the other questioned why the old Hag would need or desire to create one of the most powerful creatures in Egyptian Mythology. He shrugged it away, the thought was pointless at the moment. That Hag might have the key to his memories simply awaiting for him to bring back the ingredients.
His thoughts interrupted as the other male spoke to him, a brow arching as he thought to himself. The pair would be a powerful duo and quicken the pace with which they could work, let alone find the ingredients faster. He sighed and moved with the blinding speed he possessed as a vampire now standing beside the male."Let's be off we have work to do." he glanced back at the dead horse,"And since you've killed my horse, we must walk." he glared at the other man for a minute, before sniffing at the northern blowing breeze."Let's head to the Dead Sea first, then Egypt and Crete, finally we hit Lake Victoria." he gestured towards towards the north,"There's a village, we can get some food, horses, and be there before dawn if we start walking now..." by Tristen's time it was about two in the morning."From there we find a port town, get a bloody ship and sail." he turned back to the other and smiled,"Any objections? No. Good." his grinned widened before he turned and set off at a brisk pace.
Post by Alekzander Faustine on Jul 20, 2013 16:21:58 GMT -5
Alekzander chuckle and nodded. He followed the male, glad he was in the such good shape. He caught up to the male and grabbed his shoulder. "Hang on....you can clearly move faster then this. I'm thinking. As you can clearly move fast, your play with the shadows like a pimp, and you can see in the dark, your obviously a vampyre. That's cool by me but the suns about to come up. So, let's move faster..."
Alekzander raising his hand and swirled in hand in a circle. Water formed in midair, rushing upwards at an incredible rate that would easily lift the two males. Alekzander laughed and leap on to the water that supported him, then it began to rush forward at an incredible while supporting the male. Although sustaining this would grow tiring, the short distance to the town would be covered in only several minutes only instead of the hour or so it would take to reach it by foot at his own 'human' speed. The Vamprye would be able to either join him, or run along side which would drain his energy and force him to feed which would endanger himself.
Reaching the town the male dropped the water and pushed the water off himself causing himself to dry instantly. A horse would be expensive but that wasn't a worry to the male. Being rich had its advantages, money passed down from his family plus his own adventures had created a substantial fortune so he didn't need to worry about money yet he didn't sit around idly. As was apparent by the fact he was out doing crazy shit like looking for items to create a sphinx.
Post by Tristen Hail on Jul 20, 2013 16:46:17 GMT -5
As they walked, Tristen heard a quickening of steps and turned as his shoulder was captured. As the other made an observation, that was painfully clear to him. He watched as the air already saturated with moisture became a steady stream that the other leapt upon and rode. It was immensely faster then walking at a humans pace, he could keep up with it if he decided to run along side but that would take a toll on his energy. He leapt up with a quick, swift movement, the rushing water beneath his feet almost caused him to lose his balance but he managed to lean forward and dart off right behind the other male riding the current of water beneath his feet.
As the arrived minutes later, Tristen dropped down and landed moving forward as he cast a glanced around. Some of the village was alive but not many, mostly the nightly hustle and bustle."There's gotta be a place we can get directions to the closest sea port town, and horses. I know there's an open tavern or something.."he muttered the last bit as he strolled forward."All we needed is some drinking water, food, both for you and a pair of horses." he glanced at the male,"Shall we split up? I get the horses and you find the food, water, and directions?" a brow arched as he looked to the other male.
Post by Alekzander Faustine on Jul 20, 2013 17:19:35 GMT -5
Alekzander laughed and shook his head. "Drinking water mate? You think that's gonna be an issue?" He raised his eyebrow. He would need some food, though and so simply shrugged his shoulders. "Alright, but don't forget to get some food for the horses as well." Alekzander moved off to try and find some food quickly before the sun rose. Making his way through town he came upon a store and stopped. Just a little place with some simple food stuff. He wasn't picky after all.
Walking through the store he grabbed several items. Mostly dried out foods that would not spoil but he selected several fruits such as oranges, and a good selection of dates. Paying for it he stepped outside again. In a tiny town like this place it was no problem finding the only place where to purchase horses. He slipped inside and looked around for his blood sucker friend.
Walking to the male he dropped the bag on the counter beside him and chuckled. "Well, you get us anything good? Or do we got to settle for a couple cripples?" He leaned against the counter and nodded at the person behind the counter. He looked about the place at all the tack hanging from the walls. "Pretty nice stuff you guys got here...but it looks kinda worn. Anything new about?"
