Ciel looked at him before nodding and handing him her food. She brushed her hair out of her face and looked around, she shook her head and nodded. She hadn't really cried yet about her brothers dead though she badly wanted to, "May... I have some of your clothes?" She didn't even bother really to wait before putting on a pair of his pants and one of his shirts. She did make it look rather good. She closed her eyes and sighed, even though they were clean they had his scent and it made her happy. She sat back down on the bed, "I miss him Jake..." She says looking up at the ceiling. "I loved my brother, even... even if he was mean I miss him and I loved him. I'm not sure how to continue life without him there. He was always there to fall back on. So I often found myself wondering if he wasn't maybe actually good... and maybe I was bad."

Jake started to reply as he looked over at Ciel, seeing her already start to put on his clothes. He stopped and waited till she was finished and nodded before continuing. "Well, yes I suppose you can borrow some of my clothes, Ciel." He of course would smirk afterward, unable to keep a straight face at the moment. He would agree that she made them look good and already he thought about wanting to take them back off... Good grief, she hadn't even been awake for more than a day really and already he was becoming something of a horn-dog already. He quickly shook the thought out of his head before returning his gaze to her.
Then the topic came up. Jake turned his gaze off to the side and sighed. He knew it would come back up at some point, and he wasn't sure he had yet decided on what he wanted to say, but he decided to say something anyway. "I know you do, baby. I know." He paused for a moment before pushing himself out of the bed and walking over to the window and drawing the curtains. He looked out over the city and took a deep breath before letting it out slowly. "You're not a bad person Ciel. You lived the best life you could have under the conditions you were given. No one can really fault you. Deimos... Deimos did what he did out of misguided love. He did everything he could to see you kept out of physical harm's way, even if it meant causing emotional harm. He never really understood that most physical injuries are easier to fix than those of the heart and mind but... He did it because he cared."
Jake gazed distantly out the window, zoning out for a moment as he considered what to say next. Finally he spoke again but his voice was equally as distant. "We talked... on the day he died. He... told me a lot of things. He told me that he cared about you. He told me that he wanted you to be happy... He could have easily given the children up for adoption or sent them to an orphanage, but he allowed me to raise them. I think he planned on returning them to you one day. He also told me that I was the only one he ever saw worthy of you." He let out a soft, empty laugh. "You do yourself so very little credit Ciel... You're an amazing woman and I can only hope I can keep my final promise to him. The promise that I would keep you safe and happy."
Finally he'd reach into a pocket of the robe he was currently wearing, and pulled out a small pen, turning it over and over in his hands as he turned his gaze down towards it. "He seemed to believe you'd be alright without him... Perhaps you should put a little faith into what he believed..."

Ciel listened carefully and quietly. She didn't say a word the whole time. Silent tears fall down her face. Her body shivering she walked over to him, wrapped her arms around him silently and nodded crying weakly. "Th-thank you Jake... thank you for being here... thank you for caring for me." She said before brushing the tears away and looking up at him. She wondered if he knew how much he meant to her, specially right now. She laid her head down on his chest and shivered against him. She took a deep breath and smiled at him. She pressed her lips against his, she was small and looked very fragile, and over the years had become rather fragile, though she'd never told her brother and now she wondered if she should tell Jake. The medications they'd given her at the asylum had made her weak and tired, but right now, now she was happy where she was, "So you said something about shopping today?" She replied changing the subject. She'd seen that pen plenty of times around her brothers house and never though anything of it. "Deimos gave you that?"

Jake stood there silently as she hugged him and cried. His own hands would come up and gently wrap themselves around her, holding her against him as he let her let out as much as she wanted. As she looked up at him, he offered a soft, warm smile, putting on a braver face than he honestly felt inside. As she laid her head upon his chest, he would reach up and gently stroke his hand through her hair, sighing softly as he stood there with her in his arms. He couldn't help but think about what had happened over the nine years that he'd known her. Ever since that day he'd seen her in College. He'd been impressed that someone of her age had managed to make it so far so fast... It almost left him feeling normal by comparison.
When she turned her head back up and pressed her lips against his, he would press back gently. For a moment he simply let himself fade into the kiss before she pulled back. "Yes, Ring shopping. Need to do that. I didn't exactly have one prepared. Then again I wasn't expecting to propose to Ciel D'Morte... Though I suppose I wasn't even planning on running into her. I however am glad I did. So... yeah. I'm a bad fiance. You need a ring." When she mentioned the pen he brought it back around and looked at it. It almost looked like he thought he'd never seen it before, before he finally replied. "Yeah, it was one of the few things he gave me before I left..." He didn't exactly say what else he'd been given... or why he'd been given the pen, or what had come with it.

Ciel looked at Jake and smiled before nodding, "That sounds good. Thank you." She brushed her hair, "I-i wanna meet the kids... but... um... if possible... tonight at dinner." She said standing up and walking into the bathroom and cleaning herself up. She walks back into the room and smiles at him brushing her hair out of her face, she kisses the man of her dreams gently. There was a nagging feeling in the back of her head, but she quickly silenced it. She sighs and looks around licking her lips. Goodness she wanted him again, but at this rate she would never make it out of the house. She pulled his hand and started in toward the door. Ciel couldn't help it she wanted to lay him on the bed. She started to push him toward it. Slowly, she kissed his neck. She was just so close to taking him back to her bed, and she would unless he stopped her.

Jake nodded as he replied to the simple request. "I've booked the babysitter for the entire evening. Should be easy enough to steal them off of her at dinner."
As she wandered out of the room he walked over to the closet and reached in to pull out a briefcase. It wasn't anything special of course, your average briefcase full of business documents and stuff. The contents of some of the hidden documents might have been curious, but that would require one to find and read them. Jake slid the pen into the briefcase before closing it again. Afterwards he closed the closet and turned to see if Ciel had returned yet. If not he would walk back to the center of the room, looking around as he contemplated if he should actually dress or not.
When she did return, he would kiss her back, giving her that warm smile of his. Despite not being properly clothed, he'd let her pull him towards the door without objection. Then she changed directions. Again he didn't object, letting her push him toward that bed. Sure he knew they'd never leave at this rate, but then again, he was weak to the thought of her being on top of...or beneath him naked. That thought was just too delicious to pass up. If she didn't come to, they would find themselves back upon the bed...yet again.

She smiles and nods, "Alright thank you." She looked at him and smiled as he allowed her to move him around she undressed herself and then him.
[Lights out.]
Upon the finishing of the deed she stands up and gets dressed, this time she'd left long red marks as well as having drawn blood a few times. She ties her hair up and smiles at him licking her lips, "Anyway we should get going." Whether or not he followed she would head toward the door, maybe a nice lunch out while they went shopping would entice her to eat, once they got outside [if] they did Ciel would turn to him, "How does lunch before we go sound?" Whatever his answer was she headed down to the car anyway. She liked apartments well enough but she did miss her house. The home she grew up in. Though she'd never set foot toward the basement.

Jake rolled his shoulders as the stinging of those nails lingered on after they had came to rest. It had sent so many tingles up his spine during their little tryst, and now left a pleasant reminder of it. Of course Ciel hadn't escaped her own reminders from Jake. He had left a few of his own marks in the form of smacks and maybe even a hickey or two. Of course he made sure to leave them far enough down to be covered by her clothing.
Jake finally got out of bed and walked over to get dressed, picking out something nice, but not getting all suited up as he might for an expensive dinner or some other fancy gathering. Ever since working for Deimos he'd gotten used to wearing upper scale attire when not in something else meant for a little more discretion. He also decided for once to let his hair hang partially loose, a few strands of his medium length hair dangling off to the side (as per his character pic) Then he managed to escape the bedroom with her without being dragged into another round, even though he wouldn't have objected to such an event.
"Lunch sounds nice, you got a place in mind?" He glanced at his watch and wondered where all they might go today. There certainly were more than a few things he'd love to get for her if they had the time.

Ciel smiled at him and walked down into the parking garage if there was one before realizing she did not have her car around at all. She sighed, and shook her head, before looking over at Jake, she got caught again in his look. It made her smile just to look at him. He was beautiful, everything about him made her giddy. Ciel felt like she was back in college and only fifteen, like she was looking at him for the first time all over again. Her breath got caught in her chest, he had amazing hair and a perfect smile, and for some reason what had happened to his face still made him look good. She looked down at the rest of him and smiled again, man did he have a rocking body that made her giddy, "So do you have a car or are we going to walk?"
Post by Jake Leeson on Sept 1, 2013 21:57:32 GMT -5
The man followed her down to the parking garage, remembering that she had been taken from the campus by ambulance which probably meant that if she'd brought her vehicle, it would probably need to be retrieved at some point. He was brought back out of thought as she turned and looked at him. She had a certain look about her that spoke through her eyes if nothing else. It made him smile faintly as he peered back at her. She had a pretty face, a drop dead gorgeous body, and brains. What more could he ask from a woman?
He chuckled as she asked if he had a car. He shook his head side to side and couldn't help but smirk more as she just seemed to remember. Afterward he'd pull out a set of keys and nod to a nearby black Suburban. It was that type of vehicle with tinted windows and mysterious-looking plates. All over it spoke of that 'secret government' look. He wandered over to it and unlocked it with the keyless entry before opening the passenger door for Ciel to get in. Afterward he'd wander over to his side and hop in as well before buckling up. He then looked over at Ciel and offered that smile of his. "So where did you have in mind for lunch?"

Ciel smiled at him and actually blushed as she got into the car with him. Gods he still made her breath catch in her chest, and her heart skip a beat, what more could she ever ask for than this perfect man? ["How about Adam, he was cute."] a voice rang through her head, she'd heard it before in Russia, but she hadn't believed it existed. Who was this person... why did she hear their voice so clearly inside of her. "Not the one for me..." she whispered. She liked him well enough, but firsts things first is he was a total ass, he'd hurt her badly. She admited though that she probably hurt him as well calling him Jake, but she looked at Jake and smiled, appologizing for what she said, "Sorry was talking to myself.... about some guy." she said with a laugh. Ciel shook her head, besides she had Jake right here and that was all she needed right? She nodded in reply to her mental question before looking at him, "Oh... Think that little Chinese place is still open?" She asked with a smile.
Post by Jake Leeson on Sept 2, 2013 23:28:57 GMT -5
Jake wasn't quite sure what to make of the whisper. Being that the other voices were inside Ciel's head and thus he couldn't hear them, he wasn't quite sure what she'd been talking about. Though his interest was perked as she mentioned some guy. It was possibly the one from Alaska that she'd mentioned. The one she'd slept with. He wasn't sure what to think about that, and thus decided simply not to.
"The place where you asked me to move in with you? Yeah.. Yeah it's still open." He grinned at the mention of it. He remembered the place oh so well. It had taken place that night...that wonderful night when they moved in together and started things on their relationship that eventually paved the way for their having children. He chuckled and shook his head before starting the truck up.
He moved the shift lever into drive and pulled out of the parking space and then the garage after. After waiting for a clearing, he managed to pull the truck onto the street and started to navigate his way towards that restaurant. "So tell me about this guy..."

Ciel thought back to that night, dimmed in her mind because of the amount of medication and "treatments" she'd been given. She started to cry, oddly missing Jake, though he was sitting right beside her. She shook her head shaking away the tears, "Th-that night was the best night of my life Jake..." They had shared their darkest secrets that night, almost all of them. If she were in her Ciel form she would still have the scars from that mauling though she never understood why she kept them. Maybe just as a reminder of Jake, but for him, for him she made her body perfect, though even with it being 'perfect' she felt it was far from good enough for Jake. She shook that thought out of her head as well. No, she was done feeling sorry for herself, she was done beating herself up, and she was done living in sorrow. She took out her knife, not even seeming to realize Jake was there as she put just the smallest nick in her arm. It helped her calm and she relaxed until he asked about him, about Adam.
She thought back to Alaska, she'd been trying to forget since she ran away to Russia, but it was a part of her now. She heard the voice speak in her head, "As am I... and I'd just like to remind you that this one... yeah faked his death... almost killed you... remember that?" though this time it wasn't silent, the other had said the words through her mouth, but when her eyes returned to their normal bahama blue instead of ice, she growled, "I love him, and you aren't being fair... he left because he loved me." She started to cry shaking her head. She stayed like that for a good few moments whether he pulled over or not. If he comforted her she would lean into him, but if not then she would bring her knees up to her chest, a sure sign with Ciel that she was closing herself off to the outside world.
Once she calmed down she finally started to mutter, "I met him at a bar in Alaska... Adam Helviath." She laughed, he was so big on names and she had hated it, she hated hearing people say her name, except Jake. She didn't mind hearing Jake say it, moan it, scream it. Just to hear it come out of those lips made her shiver, but this wasn't about him, this was about Adam. "I'd gotten into a fight... oddly because I was looking for you, I had recently gotten some news about you being Alaska, for some reason or another." She said having to take a deep shuddering breath. Everything in her wanted to run from this conversation, but for Jake she continued to talk. "Finally, I gave up looking... I'm sorry Jake... but I gave up looking for you." Ciel seemed to feel so incredibly bad like it was the worst thing she'd ever done. "He... we got into his car after a while of talking where I'd just given into a side of me that needed to feel something because I was pretty sure I was dead."
Her laugh came out hard and cold, her voice sharp, "He took me to a room, I took a shower, he took a shower... and then-" A small cough came out, and the very quiet Demetria took over, "I'm sorry I'm going to let those two duke it out while I finish her story." She bowed her head, voice soft, sweet, and very much like a melody. "She slept with him, though neither myself nor Ciel can quite figure out why, it is very unlike Ciel you see. She has not bedded a single person since your death, until Adam. She felt so ashamed, she wanted to tell Adam and you Jake, that you both deserved better than she could provide. She accidently almost called Adam, by your name. Though I suppose I should mention that Ciel's Mistress Lady, showed up. After they were done with the deed but before her calling him by your name. This Mistress made Ciel feel very bad for bedding him, and even worse as a person. Though at the time Ciel was in a very upset mind frame you see. When the Mistress left Ciel and Adam were left to their own devices, though sadly both were self destructive, a very sad place for them to be. He wrecked her, left her a mess, and ran. She ran to Russia. Now I must go." She closed her eyes and was silent for a good long while.
Upon opening her eyes once more it could be seen by someone who knew Ciel well that she was in fact herself once more. She looked up at him through tear studded eyes. "I'm sorry Jake. I'm so very sorry that I have betrayed you so my love." Ciel said her body shivering in fear, anger, and something that could be seen as self hatred, though she believed herself over it. She felt her body shaking and decided she needed to stop it, she began to close herself off to emotions. It was mostly in case Jake decided that he wanted to hate her for "cheating on him" as she looked at it. She felt like she deserved the hatred if that was what he chose. She would take it like a whip across her face, though she'd much rather the whip if she were to be completely honest. Ciel bit her lip and sighed, Jake had been with plenty of girls hadn't he? He was attractive and had one of the greatest personalities she'd ever seen, not to mention he was a genius who had started college early. She could not think of a woman who would not want him though her mind did stick on Rennia for a moment. She shook her head, even Ren would want him, there was no reason not to want him. "Did you find anyone you could love, if only for a night Jake?" She let the question hang for him to decide to answer it or not.

Jake's own mind lingered on that night. The time at the restaurant when he'd made the illusion of money being thrown in the air, which was right after she had revealed that she wasn't in fact Ciel D'Morte. It was almost a bitter pill to swallow to realize he knew he was with someone with multiple personalities... and the one he really loved wasn't the original one. He never considered saying she wasn't the real one, not like he had back then. She was very much real to him. It made him wonder if he was in all honesty a bad person. Was he so horrible for loving a rift in someone's complete entity, one that wasn't even the original? He couldn't even stomach the thought of putting her under medication or sending her to an asylum. He still couldn't accept that Deimos had done it to her anyway, even if it was done out of what Deimos called love. Jake suddenly realized he was being very selfish despite what he said.
It was almost ironic. The illusion he had created after finding out her truth was to throw a briefcase full of money into the air. Of course only Ciel had seen it, but it was amusing that it had happened. Now he really could do that with his money, unlike then. Ciel of course took learning his secret as well as he had. There wasn't any visible hurt or hatred. It had been wonder and a sudden desire to tell him more. Jake, however, wanted to make sure she took care of herself, so he had her take the meal with her. There would be no arguing with that. The rest of the night was filled with them sharing secrets about their abilities. Jake shared his shadow control, and she her shapeshifting ability... even if that had been unintentional at the time. It felt like freedom.
Jake finally came to, realizing Ciel had spoken. "Even greater than last night when you learned I was still alive, had sex with me multiple times... and got engaged? I'd think that would be a pretty good night, though yeah, that night back then was something I'll never forget." Jake watched her nick her skin with the blade and frowned. For the moment he let it pass, though he kept an eye on it to make sure it wasn't bigger than it appeared. He gave a sigh, not liking to watch her hurt herself.
His attention was drawn back to her when she spoke those words. Even though he knew instantaneously they were not 'Ciel's' words, they still hit him like a ton of bricks. He felt as if he had been punched in the stomach, or at least that his breakfast was about to come back up. He was suddenly jaunted into the memory of both the attack, and afterward his 'faked' death. Even if he wasn't immediately concerned about her, he would have pulled over anyway as he suddenly no longer felt safe to drive after that comment. Meanwhile he heard the war raging within Ciel. He felt touched by her words, but still horrible that she carried that pain with her. As he came to a stop he'd unbuckle himself and reach over to pull Ciel against him.
He stroked her hair as he listened to the woman's words. When the name came out, the man made sure to remember it. No matter his feelings on what they'd done, he still wanted to be sure that this man wouldn't be a threat to her. He didn't care about the threat to him, no one would risk her well being for a one nighter. She talked about going to Alaska to find Jake. His expression turned to one of curiosity. 'How had she heard about that?' he wondered. He pushed the thought out of his head, returning to the story at hand. He calmly quieted her as she went on about giving up on him. "Shhh... It's okay baby. You thought you'd killed me. I can't blame you for moving on."
He heard the shift instantaneously as Ciel left and Demetria came in. That form of speaking a horrid reminder of that night. He furrowed his brow, wanting Ciel to have continued the story, but he let her continue all the same. All this time he continued to lightly stroke her hair. It didn't matter who she was right now, the body was Ciel's to him. When she went on about what happened after, his expression darkened. He wasn't sure how to initially react to someone being called by his name, but he definitely didn't like hearing about how the man had up and abandoned her after that. Regardless of this other woman who had intervened. Already his mind began going over what he would do to this bastard if he ever ran into him.
Jake sighed with relief when she came back and gripped her more tightly. He continued to stroke her hair and sh her. Trying to calm her down from her recent upsetting retelling. "You didn't cheat on me, Ciel. We weren't together at the time and I let you believe I was dead. You have no reason to hate yourself for letting yourself go after all these years, baby. I wouldn't hold it against you." His words were totally honest. Despite what she'd done before they got back together, he simply could never hold it against her that she might have been trying to move on or find happiness. That was all he ever wanted for her, and it didn't matter to him how she had gotten it so long as she had it. He was touched that she had held out for so long, not wanting to be with another, but at the same time it hurt him to hear that she was preventing herself from being happy for his sake, despite what he had done.
At the question Jake looked up, pondering the inquiry in his mind. He wondered for a moment how to answer it, before one came to him. "I suppose there was one time. I met a beautiful woman. She was such a delicate thing, but I often found her looking at me. I suppose there were some who always looked at me, but none that ever approached. I wasn't always easily approachable.. Anyway. This girl seemed to see through all that and she continued to watch. I suppose I finally relented, and I'm glad I had. She proved to be extraordinarily smart. She was beautiful, had a certain way about her that just captured me up. At first we had a somewhat... friendly relationship. I felt I couldn't take advantage of her, though I couldn't say how she felt. Over time I guess I sort of fell for her. I moved in with her at one point and our relationship grew from there. Unfortunately It didn't last... I had to go away from her for a long time... and I never had eyes for another woman since."
After he finished the telling, he'd look down at the woman in his arms and offer a soft smile. "But all that matters is that I have Ciel D'Morte in my life again, so long as she wishes to be. Beyond that, the world could fall into ruin and I wouldn't waste my time worrying about it." Sure he was sappy, but he was honest about it. There was little doubt that he would go to a great length and beyond for her, even if that made him seem weak to others.

Ciel had always had a problem loving herself, loving Jake came easily to her, but herself? That wasn't easy. There was just so much that she could find wrong, so much that was easy to hate, but she had tried and almost succeeded in loving herself the last time she was with Jake, he was good for her and she knew that, so she wondered if she would try to sabotage it. She thought on this for a long while, it was a good possibility, it was something she had done the last time she was with him, he'd worked past it though.
Ciel leaned against him for a long time leaning against him, she was winning the inner war with him their holding her. He was what she needed, what she wanted. He was everything to her at this moment. Lost in this moment she didn't need anything, or anyone. Though the other two that lived inside her head probably cared because they had those that they loved, she did not have that affliction. She cared only for herself, Jake, and the two kids that were at the house right now, they were what mattered to her. She loved Jake and she knew she loved the two children, even if she couldn't be around them yet.
After all, there was a good chance that she was a danger to them and that was what scared her. She wanted to be around them eventually, but for now she would be content with just seeing Jake and then meeting her children at dinner. She couldn't help but smile, children that she had thought were dead for five long years, they were now living in the house that she too would be living in. She let out a sigh though it was because she was content. She was content to be near Jake, Ciel had never thought that she could be so happy. She had many times wondered if she was going to be miserable forever, but now here she was, here was Ciel D'Morte with the love of her life, back in Japan, back where it all started, going out to buy an engagement ring, they had talked about it before, but had decided to wait until after graduation to it. Sadly that day never came, she'd stayed alone since "killing" Jake, and she had liked it that way. She could remain loyal to Jake and she could wait for the day that she joined him.
She heard the comment about him falling in love, she tilted her head, "Y-you fell in lo-..." She thought on the comment and looked up at him, "N-not ever? Didn't someone love you besides that girl?"
