description
Alan could be described as quite average in appearance. He isn't particularly tall, nor is he particularly buff. His features are strong, but still maintain a healthy level of fat and muscle around them. Under his skin is a dense layer of muscle, built up and toned by his days in the local gym and his exercise regiment. He has a head of charcoal black hair, and a set of dark brown eyes. His looks are largely inherited by his father, but the similarities end just about there. His disposition towards the people around him tends to be on the warmer side of caution, and he's about as level headed as they come.

weapon(s)
On duty Alan carries his service FN Five-Seven, a handgun chambered for the 5.7x28mm cartridge and with a capacity of 20 + 1. For more high-profile situations he usually tends to use either an FN P90 issued by the local armory, or a Beretta Tx4 Storm. A submachine-gun chambered for the 5.7x28mm cartridge and with a magazine capacity of 50, and a semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun with a capacity of 5 + 1, respectively. In high-profile situations not suitable for a K9 unit, he uses an HK417, with a medium-power scope. Off duty he uses an HK45c, a compact handgun produced by Heckler and Koch. The 45c is chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge, and has a capacity of 8 + 1. In addition to his HK45c, he has a small collection of rifles and sidearms passed down through his family, and purchased for sporting by himself. His collection includes a Sako 85 Arctos chambered in the .30-06 cartridge, a surplus Mosin Nagant chambered for the 7.62x54mmR cartridge, a Remington 700 chambered for the popular 7.62x51mm cartridge, and a Mossberg Silver Reserve over-under 12 gauge shotgun. The Sako has a rather pricey Leupold VX-6 7-42x56mm scope mounted on it, and the Mosin Nagant and R700 are both bare, save for their iron sights. Otherwise, he keeps a hunting and survival kit packed with a few different knives tools and utilities inside of it.
whatcha~wearin?
Typically wears his standard service uniform when on duty, with his protective vest locked in place around him. Otherwise he tends to favor dark bluejeans, a T-shirt, and a light jacket to fend off the cold or rain. When he goes out hunting he wears the typical camouflage attire with an olive-green boonie-hat, a compact headset, and a hunting pack. He keeps a black suit in his closet for more formal occasions.

background
David Jameson and Mary Faust were 23 and 21, respectively, when they eloped and ran to Washington with one another. They were young, somewhat drunk, and moderately stupid when they agreed to run away together. David had proposed by wrapping a string around a marriage band and feeding it into a wine bottle through it's cork, then sealing the bottle with wax. Very romantic but not really, their parents were enraged when they found out, yada yada, inheritances cut off, wills remade, furniture sold and cuddly stuffed-animals drawn and quartered.
Nine years later, Mary was promoted to Sergeant in the local police force, and her experience granted her a lot of weight. While she was training and managing the local K9 units, David was managing local security contracts for a Washington-based firm. He had found a position in a security contractor shortly after they had moved to Washington, and had worked his way up the ladder to local director of operations.
A year later, Alan Jameson was born. A healthy boy with a full head of charcoal black hair, and his father's features. Alan proved himself to be a relatively quiet offspring over the next three years, and then the silence was interrupted by the birth of his brother, Rick Jameson. Another three years later, their sister Madeline was born. Rick and Madeline were both born healthy and with thick black hair like their brother, though all three siblings were determined to distinguish themselves as they aged. Alan remained much the same save a few scars from pulling stupid stunts, Rick's hair lightened into a more dark-brownish color, and Madeline's lightened into a dirty-blonde.
More time passed and the siblings started taking up different sports. They were all taught how to handle a firearm and hunt from an early age, though Alan was really the only one who kept up the frequent trips with his mother into the woods. Rick took up football when he entered middle-school, and Madeline formed an attachment to soccer. When he entered high school, Alan started boxing. Thus the years passed.
Alan graduated college with the necessary prerequisites to get a good position in the force alongside his mother, Rick went a similar path but joined their father, and Madeline started to focus her college studies towards programming, with a side of the culinary arts. Roughly two years before the current date, Alan and his mother took their rifles up into the wilderness for another hunting trip. It wasn't unusual for the pair to spend up to a week camping out or stalking a particularly large animal, but this trip was cut short by the discovery of a cage-trap with a bewildered-seeming pup trapped inside of it. The two promptly took the little animal home, where they checked with the local pound and vet's office before adopting it for their own. They named the pup Carey, which would later evolve into 'Care-bear', helped in no small part by the very thick build of the bitch.
Over the next two years Carey and Alan grew fairly inseparable, which sped Alan's training through his K9 handling course significantly. When Alan and Carey graduated, their mom took them out on another hunting trip in celebration. On their way up, Alan was given his mother's .30-06 and truck as a gift, scope and full tank of gas included. That brings us to present day. Alan has his own apartment which he shares with his sister for ease of living, and they commute every day in his truck.
