This Time It’s Different
by Evans Bluedescription:;
My eyes are a bright crystal blue and they would give off a more innocent nature if it wasn’t for the fact that they were usually narrowed into slits of suspicion and distrust. Despite being an ‘angel’ I’ve seen enough of the world to know the bad as well as the good, finding it slightly more favorable. My wings are void black like my long hair and project from between my shoulder blades. I love having them unfurled since I feel like I’ve just released myself of one more limitation. My pale skin contrasts with my dark hair nicely. I’m known to be cocky and think highly of myself and I don’t deny it one bit.

I detest being looked at different for being a little troublesome –in my opinion- despite being an angel. Just because angels are perceived to be good, does it mean all of them really are?

background:;
I was named Choas by my mother –an angel- and people are surprised I’m breaking a few –in my opinion- rules and not exactly hanging out with the best people. In all honesty, I think my mom expected e to turn out like this. I mean I could never compare to my mother’s other child – I refuse to admit we’re related in any other way- Scarlet. She’s perfect and does everything an angel’s “suppose” to do. I grew up in her shadow and it never bothered me till being in her shadow almost killed me.
It was sometime during the week of Scarlet’s 7th birthday, making me six. Mother had took us out flying, getting a little practice under our wings – pun intended. I’m cocky, but I’m not going to lie and say I was amazing at flying right away; I wasn’t. I lagged behind a little as we flew over an nice-sized lake late at night. I could still kind of see the glint of my mother and Scarlet’s white wings. Too focused on trying to catch up- even at this age my pride wouldn’t allow me to call out and tell them to wait- I didn’t notice how close I was to the water until I caught my foot on it. Despite what you may think, I tripped. At the speed I was going I wasn’t prepared for the impact of the water and fell straight into the ocean.
I nearly drowned. I know what you’re thinking, an angel drowning? Yeah, I was a bit surprised at the notion myself. All I knew was that when my body connected with the ocean- face first- I had the wind knocked right out of me. That’s when the worst happened. My dark wings came in contact and started to soak up the liquid. They became heavy with all the water and I started to sink. I was trying to kick up, but the weight was too much for my small body and I was quickly exhausted. I gave up and closed my eyes. The next thing I knew I was coughing up water, on the other side of the lake, with a smirking Scarlet standing before me. I looked towards the lake and caught just a glimpse of scales in the distance. I looked back towards my sister. I hated her ever since.
I decided that I was not going to live in her shadow any longer. I stepped away from my made path of life and did what I wanted. I didn’t do anything drastic like beat up elderly women or rob stores. However I didn’t just do everything I was told to, even if it was expected of me. I taught myself to believe that despite what other people think, I was better than Scarlet and di still believe that. I’ve learned to think highly of myself as well as for myself, doing what I want despite other people’s opinions. I’m not a demon, I am an angel, but that doesn’t mean we’re always good.
Oh wait. You thought I was the only one? How truly ignorant you are.

I hope this is decent, if it’s not suggestions on what to change would be very helpful. Also, sorry the picture's so big, i couldn't find a smaller one.
