The sun set glimmered off the windows of the buildings that were jammed together to form New York City and people rushed to and from heading out of work and to there homes. Preparing for the night life in the city that never sleeps and finishing up last minute day time duties the city was ready to settle into the night. It was during this time that most of the mischief and mayhem occurred so it was only right that Belial was finishing his first meal of the day and getting ready to set out for a night of fun. He sucked the last morsel of tender flesh from the girl he murdered the night before and took a nice hot shower. Stepping out the roof of the building he had chosen to make his home he smirked as the sun had officially disappeared giving way to the cloak of night he felt so comfortable in.
Removing his red leather jacket he spread his wings and took flight carrying said jacket in his hands and flying off to the north for no reason in particular. He was out for blood as was the case with most nights and he desired they type of blood heavy with sin as opposed to the innocents he normally went after. It was not long before he spotted a pimp sitting in an alley watching his whores across the street. Belial climbed a bit higher and then angled himself near the end of the alley and tucked his wings back. Like a speeding bullet he cut through the air and at the last second spread his wings and swooped upwards landing on his feet. He tucked his wings back and moved in the direction of the car his heart rate quickened as thoughts of torture and screams assaulted his mind and actually turned him on a bit. He placed his red jacket back over his body and got to the side of the car where the pimp sat talking to on of his hookers.
When he got to the drivers side he didn't waste any time and he cocked back his hand and with demonic strength shattered the window and the pimps jaw. The hooker screamed and jumped out of the car but within a few seconds her vocal cords were crushed by his massive hand. Lifting her up he looked her in her eyes and his own flashed with deep malice as he applied pressure slowly until her bones buckled and snapped. Dropping the limp body and moving to the knocked out pip he dragged the body fro the car. Removing his jacket he carried it in one hand and the pimp in the other. Landing on top of a nearby building he set the man down and removed the sword strapped to his back as well as the guns he carried on his waist. All that was left to do now was wait for the man to wake up and the fun could start.

Tonight was a night for fun. Sol could barely stop himself from quivering, the night before had been so... delicious. As he walked upon the worn street of one of the seedier New York City districts he could not help but remmember her taste from the night before. That smooth alabaster skin smothered heavy in fear with her dark hair, along with what little scraps of clothing remained, was plastered about her sweet luscious body due to all the sweat and blood. It was so mouthwatering Sol did not realise untill moments later that he had stopped walking and was drooling slightly.
He began to walk again brushing some of his hair back from his face. He reminded himself that he was on the hunt again. It tastes better every time the smooth voice told him. "every time.." Sol said quietly hardly believing such a thing was possible and yet it was. he placed his hands inside the pockets of his jeans due to the trembling. He considered his next victem and decided it would be the next woman he saw.
As he rounded a corner he spotted a prostitute and her pimp seated within a car. Licking his lips in anticipation he took a step towards them. In that moment something swooped down from above and with violence ripped them both from the car. A few moments later Sol realized he had just seen another demon. taking his prey. kill! said the enraged voice, torture! said the cruel voice, eat them all! said the jubilant voice, all three said the dominant voice.
His plan in mind Sol released his transformation. A cry that sounded like a mixture between pleasure, pain, and rage burst from his throat as his true form came rushing back. Thick horns grew from his forehead, his stature grew from 6"1 to 8"3, his eye color became red with green feline pupils. his fingernails turned black, his fleshed thickened and grew spiked in some areas, wings grew from his back, and lastly his flesh turned a blood red. sighing Sol spoke [glow=red,2,300]"tá sé in am" [/glow]Sol said in his native tongue. He crouched low and launched himself into the air, wings beating powerfully. He quickly spotted the other demon land not to far away with his two captives on top of a nearby building.
Sol flew towards him and landed a good few feet away. [glow=red,2,300]" excuse me but i do believe you have stolen from me, good sir"[/glow]Sol stated to the other demon with just the slightest hint of irritation in his voice.

"Is this all!?"The young demon screamed to the heavens"Is this all I am!? Just some toy for them!?"He kicked the ground frustrated"Was i created to give pleasure without ever receiving any of my own?Never! Not once have i.."he sits down, too frustrated to go on.'Shhh, dont worry we can fix your problem.'something whispered inside."Who-"he stopped and began to laugh maniacally - making of a young Sol
He mouth was salivating at the thought of consuming all the flesh before him when an unworldly shriek reached his ears and shook him from his thoughts. He stood up and lifted his sword to his shoulder holding it there and in the other hand his shotgun was pointed at the ground. He watched and listened carefully for the next several moments until finally the source of the shriek made it self known to him. Landing on the same building as Belial it was slightly larger then he was but in no way did this deter the excitement that he felt at that moment. With a grin an aura of fear radiated from Belial's direction for no other reason then to let this one know he was not scared.
Cracking his neck and waiting for the demon to make its move he watched. However instead it simply spoke to him about how he apparently stole something from it. He did not to his recollection do anything of the sort but if he had then the item in question was his now and would not be returned. He was not going to back down and he was not going to give anything back. It was kill or be killed in this world and only the strong survived. the weak attempted to make amends and carve out a pathetic niche for themselves where they barley clung to the life thread. No this would not be the path Belial would go and if he had to kill a fellow demon he would do it and not think twice about it.
"I have taken nothing from you and if I did its mine now. If this is something you wish to die over then by all means please keep pressing my patience with this matter."
With that his eyes flashed with a true murderous intent and desire for conflict and chaos. He wanted nothing more then to call forth a Hellstream and while in this demon was caught in the thralls of it's powerful embrace, slice his body in half and be done with this. However at the same time this was one of the first demons he had ever run into since being dumped on his ass by his mother. Slamming his blade into the rooftop and releasing the handle he looked the demon over.
"While we are on the subject however....what is it you think I have taken from you?"
As he said it the pimp groaned behind him and his eyes took on an angered expression. He didn't take his eyes off the the other demon but rather he took a few steps back and placed his armor plated boot on the mans neck. Adding pressure he choked the man until his eyes rolled back and he was rendered unconscious. He waited for a response from the other demon as he moved foreword once more his hand near his planted sword at all times with a finger on that shotgun of his.

It hit him like a blast of cold air. It was a wave of fear. Sol grinned, too bad for this demon he thought, i dont have a voice for fear. In response to what Sol veiwed as insolence he let his own aura leek out. It was a similar aura of pure fear, but, tinted with madness showing Sol's own mental state.
[glow=red,2,300]"my prey"[/glow] Sol stated as if it was obvious. He glanced towards the female and licked his lips in obvious hunger. He could tell the other demon would attempt to kill him in a heartbeat with the cool fluidity of a practiced killer. That made two of them. Sol was not above killing other demons but this was different. He felt like he may have found a kindred spirit.
Contemplating what he would do with the woman once the other demon was of of the way Sol dropped into a fighting crouch in case things went bad. He wasnt carrying a weapon with him at the moment and he realised he should have gone hunting more prepared. i dont like the look of this said the wise voice as Sol eyed the large sword and obvious professional ease in which the other demon held his weapons.
Realizing he could deal with this situation logically Sol's smile became less predatory and more pleasant. Sol stood up and extended his hand. [glow=red,2,300]"Salutations, i am Solemn Creed, perhaps we got off on the wrong foot"[/glow] Sol said. [glow=red,2,300]"its obvious we are both hungry for flesh and have similar tastes"[/glow] continuing he said [glow=red,2,300]" maybe we can work together on this, you get below the ribcage and i above[/glow]he said quite reasonably.

Belial was more then willing and ready to destroy him and enjoy the food he fought for. However the sudden pleasantness the other demon spoke with caught him off guard and he thought about it for a moment. While every fiber of his being was itching for a fight because of the sheer force of chaos it would cause it also might bring more trouble then was worth dealing with at the present time. He moved backwards without saying a word and picked the dead hooker up. She was not his target in the first place he was really after the pimp at the start but she kind of got in the way of his plan. Why fight over something he really didn't want in the first place and for that matter didn't really require any actual work to obtain. He shrugged and tossed her limp but still warm body at the other demons feet.
"She is all yours. The man was the one I was after but she was kind of there and I figured fuck it why not. The name is Belial and your more then welcome to feast on the hooker."
He thought for a few moments about how he grew up and the truth in the statement 'Strength in Numbers'. This was another demon but he was not sure how he felt about the fact that it was so quick to compromise over the situation. While it was the smarter decision for Solemn it was an assault on every fiber of Belial's being. Then again he might be able to strength Sol's resolve and the fact that he was in a fight ready stance meant that if trouble came his way this demon would not back down. Belial liked that and so it was decided he would extend a olive branch to Sol.
"You really shouldn't compromise so quickly. This city is a great big pit of greed and one day you wont be able to comprise your way out of a situation. I extend to you an invitation of partnership in the sense we work together to better further our own goals. Learn what we can from one another to strengthen our chances at survival. Strength in numbers."
He moved to the pimp who was coming around again and placed a foot on his neck once again holding him down. Ripping some of the fabric from the mans shirt he used it to gag him from making to much noise. He then bound the hands and the legs to prevent him from moving and grabbed his massive sword. Searching the pimps pockets he found a switchblade and grinned. "This will do nicely" he said as he move the blade to the mans eyes and carefully remove his eye lids with a grin.
"You my good man will watch every horrific thing I do to you before you expire and are consumed."
Sheer horror was easily seen in the mans eyes as he screamed into his impromptu gag. Blood washed over his eyes stinging them but he was unable to to it from getting into his ocular cavity's. The air added to the sting as Belial grinned and began to set about his work on the mortal.

Sol grinned at the thought. [glow=red,2,300]"I have never compromised before,"[/glow] he said in a dismissive voice [glow=red,2,300]"but in you i believe i may have found a kindred spirit, as we both like to play with our food."[/glow] he said sounding more interested.
Looking disappointed Sol rolled the hooker over. She was obviously dead. Too bad, Sol proffered his prey alive with the heart still pumping blood and the body still able to orgasm. [glow=red,2,300]"At least she is still a little warm though i prefer them alive."[/glow]he said as he bent down.
Keeping his eyes up and watching the other demon, Sol laid the woman on her back and ripped the his favorite part from her and stood back enjoying the show as Beilal had some fun with the pimp who was quite obviously still living.
Thinking Sol thought this night is getting more and more interesting. first my prey is taken and then i find someone who is quite like me. I will have to proposition him to be my wing man. Since the crisis appeared to have passed Sol carefully reconstructed his human appearance shrinking once more down to 6"1 and retracting all of his demonic characteristics leaving behind ivory skin, blue eyes and black hair.
[glow=red,2,300]"I have a proposition for you my friend,"[/glow] Sol said once Belial was finished playing [glow=red,2,300]"how would you like to be my wingman?"[/glow] Sol said evenly. he flicked his black hair back and put his hands within his jean pockets once more as he assumed a relaxed pose. [glow=red,2,300]"we could create quite the bit of carnage together."[/glow] he said his eyes gleaming with mad anticipation.

After his bloody show with the pimp was complete and he had his fill of flesh he turned to Sol who likewise seemed satisfied with his evening snack and regarded his wingman proposition with a raised eyebrow. It was a word that Belial likened to sidekick and the thought of being anyone's sidekick was not in any way interesting to him he thought for a minute and decided to attempt one more time at making it more of a partnership then a batman and robin demon sideshow attraction. He pulled a pack of smokes from the clothing he tore off the pimps body and light one up then tossed the pack of cancer to Sol.
"Wingman to me sounds more like a sidekick which neither of us would ever agree to im sure. However if you mean it in the sense of us simply working together to cause murder, mayhem, chaos, destruction, sadness, hatred, guilt, fear, loathing, hysteria, carnage, terror and all the other delightfully enjoyable subtexts of these principles I hold dear in life then I most certainly wouldn't mind a partner in crime."
He took a long drag from the tobacco and chemical packed stick breathing its toxic smoke out into the night air. It was turning into a weird night but not one that could turn out to be most enjoyable for the demonic brotherhood that seemed to be forming at this moment on the rooftop. It was an odd turn of events to be sure but it was a welcome change if it worked out the way he was thinking it would.

[glow=red,2,300]" Im not interested in a sidekick, but i am in a partner and thats what i meant"[/glow] Sol said in an explanatory voice. [glow=red,2,300]"I like the way you think, for all of those things sound fun."[/glow] Sol thought for a moment what would be their first rampage together. It would surely have to be one for the city to remember.
[glow=red,2,300]"So what is to be our first rampage?[/glow] Sol asked wondering if Belial had any ideas. With two powerful demons rampaging nothing short of a full team of hunters would stop their massive orgy of blood and violence. Raising an eyebrow Sol eagerly awaited Belial's reply for his hunger for violence and mayhem was not yet sated with a mere show and snack.
more womanflesh? asked the hopeful voice, alive?. Sol smiled privately to himself. Soon my stomach will be swolen with the sweet meal of flesh and my thirst slaked with her blood for of course she must be a female. he thought. And if Belial attempted to betray him Sol knew exactly what he would do to him and it would involve a little... pain.

Cracking his back Belial scanned the area and seemed to take in the area around them. Removing his jacket he allowed his wings to spread out before smirking to Sol. It was going to be one hell of a night indeed and the city was ripe for the picking. He was not sated with one simple kill and a little torture by any means so the thought of some pain to the masses was a most welcome thought. He had an idea in mind to get things started in that direction. Turning to Sol he held a hand up and pointed to a building in the distance.
"Wait there till its over im gonna get the party started the right way. Im only telling you to wait there because this is going to do a lot of damage and you don't want to be caught in the crossfire of it."
He was not in any way kidding and he made sure to convey how serious he was to the other demon so he knew it was not a trick. Likewise Belial flew in the other direction a bit to make sure that no matter what Sol was out of range of this destructive force he was about to rain down. With a grin Belial's eyes gained an almost fire and the area around him grew hot. After a few moments there was an orange glow forming in the sky and the air seemed to get a bit warmer. A full on smile graced Belial's lips as a loud whoosh sound overpowered the sounds of the city at large and there was a rush of air that ruffled Belial's hair.
I looked as though the sky was on fire but that was not the case at all. It was a large meteor falling fro the sky and crashing into a parked car that was on fire. Things seemed to go quite for a moment until a hail of similar meteors feel from the sky doing massive damage to the city below. The air was hit and panic gripped the streets below as buildings were being bashed and battered, Cars exploded, people were crushed, streets shattered. The chaos and destruction was beautiful to the demon and he hoped Sol was enjoying the performance. Belial flew into the air and took off in the direction of the building he had asked Sol to wait on.
He landed and looked for the other demon not sure if Sol had listened to his request but if in fact he didn't then that was his problem and a rather large problem it was. He had used an ability called Meteoric Shower to summon those meteors and they could do a lot of damage. He was watching from afar as the last of the meteors rained down and he mentally patted himself on the back.

Sol twitched slightly when Belial removed his jacket and told Sol to wait over there. The only thing Sol hated more than clowns was being told what to do and he was inclined not to listen. He got the feeling that some mass destruction was due and would be delivered soon. [glow=red,2,300]what fun is carnage and slaughter if one is too far away to see the expressions of fear and agony?"[/glow] Sol asked rhetorically.
Seeing Belial's serious expression almost made Sol laugh but he was far too polite to laugh in someone else's face, especially a friend, so he nodded his head and stalked towards the edge of the weathered building taking care not to trip over any of the various debree lying around. Once he reached the edge Sol jumped over and allowed his wings to grow back, causing him to look small compared to the giant wingspan suited for a creature that was 8 feet tall.
Opening his wings wide, Sol arrested his fall with ease and swooped off to the side and not into the direction of the building designated by Belial. He went around the building he once stood on just in time to see Belial fly away a little ways. Following discretely Sol put his wings away and flew in silence. The air began to grow slightly warmer which made Sol curious. look up!shouted the wary voice. Sol quickly did as was suggested and saw a meteor shower headed down towards the general area.
Sol grinned when he realised what Belial had done, that is untill he realised why he shouldnt be in the area. Quickly turning around in the air he fled towards the designated building outside the range. As he finished turning a meteor struck near him and air displaced by its speed sent Sol tumbling out of control where he skipped off of the top of some white toyota and slammed into the wall of a nearby building. The breath was knocked out of Sol and as he struggled to get up another meteor struck the toyota and caused it to explode.
Sol screamed [glow=red,2,300]"Fuck!"[/glow] as the blast hit him and knocked him through the wall he was leaning against. Sol stood, after being knocked through several objects he now saw to be clothing racks, and although a little singed and not much worse for ware Sol realised he was back in his natural form. Not caring he went juggernaut and charged through the nearest couple walls with nothing but gettign the hell out of there on his mind.
Once he reached the outside Sol looked up and saw an entire cluster headed towards him. Holding his hands up Sol muttered [glow=red,2,300]"Fuck that."[/glow] and made the meteors explode. That done Sol launched into the air and after some dodging made it to the designated building finding Belial looking around for him there. [glow=red,2,300]"you could have told me exactly what you were going to do."[/glow] Sol said sounding pissed. To show his anger Sol gestured towards himself especially at his now tattered shirt. Disgusted Sol ripped that last scraps of his shirt off and used it to wipe the soot from his sculpted but real abs. [glow=red,2,300]" Now we have to stop by a store and grab me a replacement."[/glow] SOl said in an anoyed voice.

When Sol finally showed up he looked like a bird who fell through a chimney. Belial tried to stifle his laughter but couldn't hold out was was soon laughing joyfully. He had told Sol not to be near when the area but like a true demon he didn't listen and in turn he learned a lesson about Belial. He was confident that in future engagements of this sort when he told Sol to stand off in another direction he would do just that. Looking over the mild damage caused to Sol was nothing less the amusing but Belial nodded his head finally calming down enough to say a few words.
"I warned you my friend and you can't deny this fact. Now that the carnage has began you should find it easy enough to grab pretty much any shirt you want in the area."
Turning his attention the the scene behind sol he watched the fires rage and heard the screams of all those people. Walking past Sol to the edge of the building Belial gave him a slight grip on the shoulder as if to suggest him turning around. From this building one could see most of the street where the destruction was focused and the mayhem it caused was beautiful to him. People were crying next to loved ones, Children stood alone wondering where the parents were, Police and fireman struggled to comprehend the situation at at. It was all a beautiful Broadway play for Belial.
"I told you I had a plan to shake things up. The question now however is what can you to to match it? I think we should move to another part of this city first and reek another type of destruction. I feel like making New York think that the end of days has arrived. Lets send them into such a wide spread panic that riots erupt in the streets. I want to turn this city upside down and inside out and then we can act on phase two."
A plan was coming together in his mind and a wicked plan it was. He had the basics of a takeover laid in his head and now the time came to etch the rest of the blueprint. He had to think long and hard on this first before he committed to it however because if it failed there would be a lot of backlash headed his way.

The expression upon Sol's face conveyed more than a little irritation. What had happened to him was in no way amusing. maybe a little bit the teasing voice told him. nonsense, thought Sol, if i had died you all would have died with me. You really think we're that attatched to you? asked the gloating voice rhetorically Besides we knew youd be ok your practically fire proof and itll take more than a couple of meteors to even slow you down reasoned the voice of unreason. Still doesnt mean i liked it, Sol grumbled in his head.
Turning his attention back towards Belial, for Sol's eyes always became lifeless when conversing with himself, he said admittedly,[glow=red,2,300]"You did indeed warn me, but i would have appreciated more detail."[/glow] his face began to show slightly less irritation [glow=red,2,300]"Whats done is done i guess but a little more warning of the nature of your assault next time. Ok?"[/glow]
When Belial gripped his shoulder Sol turned around to witness what had transpired. Sol gasped, for what he saw was truly breathtaking. Buildings reduced to rubble, bodyparts scattered with and arm sticking out of a pile hear maybe a leg there. Children and men alike screamed out in terror and pain. It was so beautiful that Sol was nearly struck speechless.[glow=red,2,300]"A beautiful symphony my friend but i shall raise you one better."[/glow] he said when Belial mentioned them moving to a different area.
He saw a group of firemen attempt to put out a building that was on fire and barely still standing when a nearby car exploded and a piece of shrapnal caught one of them in the throat. The force of the shockwave was enough to knock the already weak house over and towards the firemen. most of them fled whil one attempted to help hsi dying buddy. They dissapeared from view shortly there after. A man rose, tears streaking across his now dirty face, from some nearby debree carrying a bloody human-like shape that may have once been a child. Sol quivered in excitement and it took all of his willpower to stop himself from finding a female upon which to unleash his passion.
[glow=red,2,300]"Next."[/glow] Sol said grinning in anticipation. [glow=red,2,300]" I cant wait for my turn. This place is as used up as a 10 cent hooker though, so lets move on."[/glow] Sol stood there and listened as Belial talked and awaited the next moment of carnage.

Grinning at the delight of it all Belial couldn't help but look to Sol when he said he would do one better. That meteor shower was a true display of power and if in fact sol could do one better Belial would be most impressed. For some reason Belial did not put it past the other demon to stay true to his word and out do him and thus the excitement continued to build. Thinking to himself for a moment he wondered where they should go next on there adventure of death. The idea hit him like a bitchslap from Beelzebub himself and his eyes grew wider and twinkled with a malicious delight. Turning to sol a wide smile spread across his face and he could hardly keep from crying with joy at the thought. They had just destroyed part of queens which is not the nicest area of New York and was not exactly full of people that mattered however there next target was.
"I will give you the honor of an even better target with which to out class my showing. Let us go to the most known street in all of New York. Where the ritzy upper class and most wealthy of this city do there shopping and such. Fifth Avenue in Manhattan."
It was known to all the world and is lined with prestigious shops and is consistently ranked among the most expensive shopping streets in the world. They would be able to cause such an uproar with this target and it would also show that even the wealthy were not safe from the newest terror on the street. However they were keeping a low profile which was good because instead of them being blamed it would be blamed more on the sins of New Yorkers or the inability of the government to protect them. It was a good way to start an uneasy feeling within New York and at the same time lay the groundwork for a hostile takeover if the two demons decided to take it that far.
His powerful wings lifted the massive form of Belial into the air and he waited to be joined by Sol. Once they were both ready the flight would be a fast one to the famed fifth avenue where Belial would find a suitable place to to land. Once on the new roof he looked to sol and gestured to all of fifth avenue.
"Your playground awaits my friend. Lets see what damage you can do and remember the object of the game is to make them think its some sort of ass natural disaster and cause as much chaos and panic as possible."

Sol grinned as he watched the carnage and waited for Belial to come up with the next phase of their ultimate carnage and mayhem plan. Fires sprung up every here in there. Sol actually laughed a little when he saw that one of the fires was a flaming person. He cracked his knuckles and flexed his muscles as he waited and prepared for some major destruction. This is going to be fun isn’t it? Asked the jubilant voice. Why, chuckled Sol in his mind, of course nothing but the best for me and mine.
Sol studied the clouds in the sky as he waited, making note of their amorphous roiling shapes as they flew overhead. Pfft, thought Sol, what makes them think they can fly in my sky. The moon was full and the sky was starless. What makes the sky posses stars one night and not the next, Sol wondered. He wondered if the woman he’d played with the night before had had any family. He should have found out and made them watch before playing with them to.
When Belial finally spoke, which was actually only a few seconds later in real time, he mentioned blowing up some stuff on 5th ave. [glow=red,2,300]“Are you sure, 5th ave is pretty important?”[/glow] he asks, then Sol shrugs and says [glow=red,2,300]“well you’re the brain, im just the hand that strikes on your plan.”[/glow] Sol transforms back into his full human form and follows Belial into the air without using his wings and landed next to him on the roof.
[glow=red,2,300]"hmmm.. i can work with this give me a minute." [/glow]Sol closes his eyes for a moment and draws oxygen into each available store thats not too close to the empire state building. Ready Sol opened his eyes and grinned at Belial. Sol then snapped his fingers. Shops all around them explode creating chaos with no one knowing what had happened. [glow=red,2,300]"and so i raise you one what might be considered a gasline explosion."[/glow]

Gods had their role to play in the world. Each one of them had an aspect they focused on primarily. Through that they brought balance to the planet. Sure sometimes their skills and abilities interwove with other gods. Forgery for example was the god of deception, master of the shapeshifters. But was that to say that the other gods couldn't shape shift? Certainly not. And similarly Forgery could do a multitude of things, but it all brought about a certain balance to the world.
However, gods themselves needed people as much as people needed them. Despite what some of them might think, the beliefs of mortals are what gave them power. A deity with an army of followers was much more powerful than one with no followers. So it paid for them to respect their followers, or inspire a fear into them that would capture their 'loyalty'. The god of nature was no exception.
However, the god of nature didn't inherently hate people anyway. They were no less natural to this planet than trees were after all. They too were born, and evolved from the 'simplest' of creatures that he protected. The only difference was they were evolving past 'survival of the fittest' and were beginning to simply annihilate the other species upon the planet. While that angered the god he still did not wish for their destruction. An education into how they were destroying the planet would suffice for him.
So naturally when the destruction began, it took but moments for the god's attention to be cast upon the sprawling city of New York. With it's towering skyscrapers and busy city streets, it was easy to imagine the damage that could be done in even a small remote part of that huge city. An unnatural chain of destruction had started there and it's source were two unlikely individuals... two individuals who would soon be paid a visit but the most unlikely of visitors.
Locutus had been in the middle of the woods some distance away from New York when his gaze turned upwards. Streaking across the sky was a rather large chunk of astral debris on an unusual heading. The wolf cocked it's head to the side as it tracked the large rock in it's deep descent. He already had a bad feeling long before the rock disappeared too close onto the horizon. The wolf's brow furrowed even before the dull thunk of the meteor's impact reached his ears. Someone was summoning meteors. Normally this would simply put Locutus on edge, but he didn't have to be a deity to know it's general area of impact would have been the eastern seaboard. And he knew that was packed with human cities. So the likelihood that the meteor had impacted a city was fairly high, and THAT was a problem for the deity.
The wolf snarled softly before closing his eyes. His senses reached out through the local area, listening and sensing whether or not he was alone. Satisfied that the deity was indeed alone and away from prying eyes, he sent out another probe.... New York.... His furrow only deepened at the discovery of the big apple taking an unnatural meteor. The next moment a bolt of lightning split the air where the wolf had been and it was gone. If anyone had been around to witness it, they might have thought the freak lightning had killed the poor wolf, ending it's journey.
His re-location was far less eventful, appearing without fanfare. Heavy boots stood solid on the ground, deep in New York City. His eyes gazed upon the sight before him. Flames were burning everywhere. People were running, screaming, burning, dying. It was chaos. There were emergency response crews, civilian volunteers, everyone was scrambling either to get away from it all, or to try and help however they could. However, as humans how could they be prepared for something like this. Locutus's eyes gazed around at all the people running. He, perhaps, was the only still thing in the entire scene.
Again his senses stretched out beyond even normal vision, seeking the source of this chaos. It didn't take him long to pinpoint two individuals on the far side of the mess.... Demons. He could have guessed such a chaotic creature would be behind this catastrophe. Locutus's relation with demons had always been sketchy. There were a few rather admirable ones that he enjoyed the company of... Then there were those like these two, who liked to make him doubt his trust in the race as a whole. However, this destruction was a new high even for them. Generally demons tried to remain on the down low in civilization, as for one, if they were discovered, it would probably be taken poorly. For two, there were prominent individuals in the demonic community who had a vested interest in the 'success' of mankind. Their profit meant profit for the demons. Thus disrupting that balance was never wise. Two demons on two hundred would probably not last long.
Suddenly a storm began to form over New York. Thunderheads rolled in from every direction, converging on the burning city. Lightning began to arc between clouds, lighting up the sky like new suns. Thunder shook the windows, rattling those still intact, and further breaking those that had been damaged in the meteor strikes and following 'gas' explosions. Almost at once large, fat droplets of water began to pour down upon the large city. More and more rain shot down out of the sky, hammering the city beneath it until it became a torrent. Within minutes the street drains were flooded with rushing water from that powerful storm. Within the rain was a light mix of cold, hard hail. The temperature around the city began to drop rapidly, even more so from the hail that had joined with it.
The sudden mix began to choke the fires. The small, isolated flames were practically extinguished immediately. The larger ones continued to burn, but their size and rate of expansion dropped rapidly. Those being attended by fire crews were easily put out with help from the rain, and the hail, which helped drop the temperature within the blazes. Then the wind began to pick up. Normally it would have been a bad thing with all these fires. but mixed with the rain and low temperatures it further slowed the fires progression, and helped the firefighters battle the blazes.
A large concentration of the hail found it's way to the two troublemakers, hammering them especially hard, with near golf ball sized hail. Even if they tried to move out of it's reach, unless they hid under the shelter of a building, that large hail seemed to follow them about, hammering them relentlessly as it fell from the heavens.
Satisfied that the majority of the current problems would be taken care of between his storm and the human crews, Locutus advanced down the alley of burning buildings, walking down the street with a casual pace. The deity marched his way towards Belial and Sol, and seemed to come out of the flames when they'd first see him. He set his gaze upon them, and slowly made his way over to them. His gaze was stern. For once, Locutus was truly displeased... and one did not want to be around that individual when he was pissed.....
