Alex stares into her own reflection, studying her brown hair kept in the traditional military style bun she has gotten so use to. Afghanistan should have been a good start for her career, but instead it ended and a new one she will have to start. At least she'll still get benefits and will be able to go to school. She looks past her reflection down at the unmistakable pools below, 'ah at last almost home' thinking to herself listening to the engine of the airliner change pitch a little. Moments later the buckle up sign is lit with a ding followed by a monotone captain's voice as he announces the starting of landing procedures. As they begin their decent towards the Sky-harbor Airport landing strip, she can't help but let her thoughts dwell on that demon in the harsh Afghanistan desert. "Maybe the world is truly coming to an end..." she mutters softly to herself, shakes her head and prepares to leave the airliner, time to go home at last after a few long years in that war torn nation...

Forgery had looked on with interest as one of the disciples of Antoinette Argonith had interacted with the female soldier. Why would a Demon risk his health so many times for a mere Human? The concept was a curious one. It mattered little, really... just something to mull over. As he watched the Human's aircraft (primitive thing) descend, he released a controlled chuckle. She had been a bit (okay, very) surprised about the Demon, so this should be really fun. He waited patiently outside of the airport's large entrance, casually smoking a cigarette of a yellow and blue plant that didn't exist on this planet. He took a slow drag of the stalk of paper, tiny wisps of smoke flowing towards the ground gently. He held in the breath and slowly exhaled, watching the reddish curls drift slowly downwards. Time was on his side and he would simply wait here for the girl to appear.

She sighs as she grabs her gear, slinging the heavy military sack over her shoulder and makes her way out of the plane into the docking ramp, heads turning to glance at her due to the unmistakable battle dress uniform she is wearing. Alex walks down towards the exit gates, taking note of the increase in security since she last been in an airport. She passes an old war veteran sitting in a wheelchair whom she salutes and he returns it back out of respect giving her a small smile. She almost makes it to the entrance of the airport when a random women yells out 'boo baby killer, you all deserve to die!' Alex just rolls her eyes at the woman and ignores the hissing pushing open the glass doors arriving outside enjoying the warm sun. She pauses as another man in a suite approaches her, "Please reconsider your decision to take the discharge Rivera, we know more happened back there than your telling us." he hands her a business card "Call this number should you change your mind." Alex takes it and glares a little turning her back to the random well dressed man, "leave me alone," she says calmly and firmly and starts to walk towards the bus stop hearing him getting into a car behind her, she had a feeling that people were going to bug her about this... and the last thing she needs is to be chased down by demons.

Forgery grimaced as the last of his smoke was expired and dropped it to the ground. He waited as planes flew overhead filled with sweating, nervous people waiting to see if their luggage was still in place. His eyes checked the sun, determining the time and he tapped his foot. He was getting impatient, but it was unnecessary. The brown-haired Human trotted past him, seeming tense. He looked on without expression as she entered into a relatively clean bus stop. Forgery waited a pair of minutes out of sight from the female and then strolled over casually, staring at the female the whole time. He entered to her left, turning, yawning, and seating himself lazily. An old man was with them, failing miserably at minding his own; his eyes flitted at the two, his paper, and other passersby.
Forgery ignored the being and watched a green mantis crawl out onto his arm from the bench he was on. It perched and stared blankly, almost unregisteringly (for a mantis) at the Human Forgery was going to speak to. The God waited for something to occur, eyes alternating between the mantis and the female.

Anthrophilus, due to his gift of invisibility, never had any trouble boarding the cargo planes on which he traveled. It was getting off that was the problem. Finding the perfect time to jump from the plane's hold to the ground, whilst avoiding the teamsters unloading, was a very difficult task to accomplish.
As soon as the cargo door opened, Anthrophilus bounded out of the plane, and soaked up the sun for a moment as if he were a solar-charged power cell. But there was much to do here in Phoenix. In fact, there was much more than he thought awaiting him in this dry heat; something far more sinister.
He sensed the presence of other supernaturals. He could smell their self-righteous noxious auras from a mile away. And this was no ordinary supernatural odor, if such a thing does exist. There was something sinister about it, something... tricksy.
As he made his way through the airport terminals, completely invisible, he searched every inch of his surroundings for something which was out of place. Everything seemed normal though, the usual pat-downs and such.
"There is some deception here. The surroundings do not match my inner feelings, just as the tomes said deception works." he muttered to himself.
Immediately his attention was drawn to a young woman exiting the building. He rushed after her, jumping over a group of giggling middle school girls, probably headed for some tropical island for their private school's class trip.
As Anthrophilus bounded out into the sunlight again, he made a beeline for the woman. There was something about her that said she was in danger. Perhaps it was the older human looking at her in a precarious way, but it couldn't be just that. Anthrophilus had that feeling he gets in his stomach when a twister was about to blow through, and he followed his instincts and circled the girl as she sat in the bench.
He leaned over to her and whispered in a low, soothing voice:
"Don't panic, young one. But I believe you are in considerable danger right now. Though you cannot see me, I am here. I am a servant of the Great Spirit who seeks the betterment of humankind. Grasp my hand and let us leave this place together. You shall be far safer with me than with that man with the newspaper over there who keeps looking at you. I feel that his intentions are not pure."

Alex sighs and tilts her head to the side and then casually stretches. She can feel eyes looking at her all around her but she had gotten use to it by now, she sticks out in the alien civilian environment dressed as if she just popped off a battlefield from a distant world. Alex in-fact felt alien being back home.
She looks down the street seeing if the bus was almost there yet, not in sight yet. Alex sighs and takes a seat at the bench hugging the large military sack between her thighs, her head just peaking over it. She glances to the man near her, a mantis on his arm now... 'I never seen one of those in phoenix' she thinks in her head to herself "umm... sir, you have a mantis on your arm" she nods and gestures to him. Alex reaches to her side and opens a canteen taking a sip of water from it.
Alex is halfway done with her sip when she hears a voice whispers next to her ear, she spits water out in front of her out of surprise at the sudden whisper let alone the message and then proceeds to choke a little on water that went down the wrong pipe, she slowly recovers and begins to look around...

"Curious thing, isn't it?" He replied to the uniformed Human. "Did you know that Human scientists have identified three stages of metamorphosis: egg, nymph, and adult?" Humans hadn't nicked the surface. So much happened within every second of metamorphosis, really. He chuckled at the idea. "The nymph and adult stages are structurally quite similar, except that the nymph is smaller and has no wings or functional genitalia." He picked up the Mantis carefully after if crawled onto an extended forefinger. "This one's an adult."
Forgery watched from the corner of his eyes, heightened awareness allowing him to see the Centaur walking towards them. It was odd to see a Centaur go to such a crowded place where someone could easily bump into him. The God acted as if he hadn't noticed the being's presence, pretending to be occupied with his conversation.
"Humans are much like that. Child, Youth, Adult. What makes them any more significant than a colony of insects?" He posed to His audience as he flicked his eyes to lock hers. It was then that the Centaur rudely interrupted his conversation and Forgery pretended to have heard nothing and maintained his eye contact when she jumped. "Something the matter?" He asked in an unknowing manner.[/size]

Alex shakes her head when sudden realization hits her, 'more demons?' she wonders. She as for sure hasn't spoken about her ordeal in the Afghanistan desert, at least in full truth. Some of the brass believe she's leaving something out... perhaps they know but want to get her to spill the beans first? Who knows, all she knows is that there are demons and they know she knows that they exist. "No I thought I heard something but it must've been my imagination...", she keeps her cool and wonders in her head, 'Demons are tricksters in most basic lore, cunning and deceitful, should I trust the voice or ignore it? Then again, this man referred to 'human scientist' as if there were other sentient beings of some form... could he be one too?'
Alex gets up from her bench taking a deep breath and begins putting her cap on her canteen latching it back onto her belt. She looks down the street and can make out the usual green and white silhouette in the distance with yellow glowing letters on top of it. "Looks like the bus is coming", she smiles warmly to the strange 'man' and continues to play oblivious ignoring the voice but not trusting either entirely. 'I'm sure nothing would start something in such a public space, if they intend to remain a secret' she continues to fight her little debate of logic in her head, watching the bus grow nearer, only three stops away, just under a mile left till it reaches them. Her only wish right now is to get to a friends or rent a room for the night and not get tangled up in another demon mess...

((Crys having waited forever, we can stop and allow Alex to progress in her awakening ^.^? Or can I skip ahead some since a lot of time has gone by hehe? She was going to start peering into myth legend and such, suspecting the possibilities that all she knew might be real, and starts her journey slowly but surely hehe >.>?))
