Shapeshifter Overview Shapeshifters are, simply put, Humans that can control their appearances. They can shapeshift to resemble other Humans, Elementals, and even other supernatural beings such as Minotaurs, with practice. Typically, Shifters are very shady people and don’t like others knowing they’re a Shifter at all, electing to often pursue a life of criminality; assuming the shape of an innocent Human, robbing a bank, Shifting into another Human’s appearance and getting away unscathed. Shifters are know to live up to 3000 years old. Mentally, they age at the rate of humans, lengthening their twenties, forties, fifties and above just as the Pi Fae do. However, due to the fact they are always changing, they can appear any age they wish. Shifters are considered by some Elementals (and some Shifters) to simply be a lost branch of Elementalism where the element they control is their self. Some Elementals and Shifters theorize that because they already can shift, they do not have a Transformation like Elementals do. They, like Elementals, derive their power from a Holy Artifact that must not be destroyed. Shifters’ Holy Artifact is hidden in Tokyo. If it were to be found and destroyed, Shifters would find they are unable to shift and would be, essentially, Human. This is usually considered worse than death. Innate Abilities Shapeshifters have the ability to take on the form of anything they want with 'Synchronize'. Note that they are mimicking forms, and even if they become an animal, they will not know how to commune with other animals.
