Falling Asleep On A Stranger
by Pierce The Veildescription:;
Echo was blessed with bright, pale green eyes –eyes that seem to capture everything- and dark brown hair that seems black most of the time. She stands at 5 feet, four inches and is petite in size. Echo doesn’t talk much and spends much of her time thinking. Among the time she’s been alive she has had problem over problem until she was trapped in a web of problems, thus she spends most of her time thinking about how to untangle herself. She is very passive and isn’t one for violence, only inflicting pain on others when necessary. Echo is known to be very calm and collected most times. Despite her calmness and maturity she is also quite innocent. She’s very nice and happy and she’s always fun to be around, almost child-like in personality.

background:;
Echo was born a Stone Vampire. She was born in Chicago, but moved to Timisoara, Romania with her grandfather at the age of four and was raised there. She was weak as a child, so among she siblings she was the “runt” and expected to die. Echo received the lesser amount of attention from her parents and left to be raised by her grandfather who moved her out of the country as soon as he could.
Echo grew up in basic solitude. Her grandfather, a powerful and old vampire, was very strict and hard on her. He homeschooled her, taught her how to feed, provided her with everything she needed. Everything except freedom, love, and basic kindness. Echo was to stay in the house at all times unless given her grandfather’s permission. She was kept under his thumb at all times. However, since she was raised to be obedient, she never raised any complaints.
When she was fifteen she met one of her grandfather’s business acquaintance, a younger man named Dimitry Mihalcea. It didn’t take long after being introduced, that Echo fell for the handsome vampire. Being her first love, she was excited yet scared by the new revelation, but Dimitry had no qualms about sharing the experience with her. They began a secret relationship, for they both knew her grandfather wouldn’t approve, and it was the most freeing and mind blowing two years of her young life. For the first time Echo made her own choices, developed her own opinions, and did what she wanted to do. However, her happiness was shortly lived.
After two years of their shared relationship, Dimitry was told that he was being transferred to the United States to work on other parts of the business. He told Echo that this would be the end of their relationship, leaving the young vampire heartbroken. He left the following week and it didn’t take long for Echo to get the correct information and follow him. She left her grandfather with no note and took only a duffel bag worth of her stuff with her to follow Dimitry; all in the name of love. When she arrived in America she searched the state of Maine for her love and finally found him. Dimitry laughed at her story of leaving home and told her she was naïve. He said that she was too innocent to understand he was looking for a “clean break” and told her he would not be returning to her side.
Echo was torn. She gave everything she could give, left everything behind for this man, who didn’t ever feel the same way about her, not even a little bit. She spent a lot of her time in Maine with her mind wrapped in darkness, but after a while it just became too much. She decided that she needed to start taking care of herself and explore the world of freedom and adulthood, though her innocent mind was never fully matured. Echo has spent the last three years doing what she was taught about taking care of herself as a vampire, while exploring all the exciting things she was now free to do. She’s still very young and innocent, but she’s happy with herself.
