Werebeast Overview Werebeasts are descendants of a tribe of Humans who had made their homes deep in the forest. According to legend, these Humans witnessed their homes destroyed by ever-growing civilizations. After regrouping, they began a resistance against the intruders, devoting their lives to protect the nature around them. Their dedication touched the hearts of their patron God, Locutus. Locutus bestowed upon them the powers of nature, the bloodline of the animals in the forest, to aid them in their quest. The humans became half-human, and half-beast. These who were later known to be called the Werebeasts roam the forests mostly in their human form, but when in danger, or when the rush of adrenaline excites them, then their hidden powers are released, and they will transform into the beast they were blessed as. Werebeasts are known to live up to 120 years old, aging as humans do. Any werebeast who's animal would possess night-vision, posses it. Werebeasts may transform other humans into werebeasts. Any human transformed will take the form of the Werebeast who changed them. To transform a human, a Werebeast must bite them on the full moon. After a month of sickness, which not all survive, the human will become werebeast. An old granny might survive while a buff soldier may die. You may not do this to other members without their permission. Werebeasts only have one animal form. It is specific (such as Dalmation, not canine). Due to Gorgons, we do not accept werereptiles. We do not accept extinct species, quest creatures, or unique lore creatures. Any werebeast from Nysa may have a Nysan animal (from the common creatures section) as their form. Werebeasts may telepathically communicate with animals of their own species. So, if you are a werefox, you may communicate with foxes, but no other animals. Werebeast stats are determined by the size of the animal. Innate Abilities Werebirds can use 'Weretransformation' and Flight/Wings. Other Werebeasts can use Weretransformation'. Werebeasts truly become the animal, and as such, can communicate with others of their kind. Werebeasts can also use 'Hybrid Transformation' once they become more powerful. Their stats depend on the size of their animal. Large Strength – 7- 30 Speed – 5- 25 Intelligence - 4- 20 Endurance – 5- 25 Agility - 4- 20 Medium Strength – 6- 30 Speed – 5- 25 Intelligence - 4- 20 Endurance - 4- 20 Agility – 6- 25 Small Strength – 3- 15 Speed – 6- 30 Intelligence – 5- 25 Endurance – 5- 20 Agility - 6- 30 For more information on stats, view our stat page. For more information on magical abilities, view our supernatural ability page. Hybrid Transformation Werecreatures also possess a second transformation, called the 'Hybrid Transformation'. This form is somewhere between the full animal and full 'human' forms and takes some advantages from both forms, giving werecreatures a true perk to their race. This is gained after 75 posts (not points). The 75 post requirement means it cannot be taken at creation, and is thus considered to be a trained mastery over their ability gained through their experiences on distention. While in this form, Werecreatures may use passive abilities (i.e. Heal, Sixth Sense, etc.) but may not access any active or offensive abilities (i.e. pyromania, meteoric storm, etc.). However in exchange, while in Hybrid form, Werebeasts gain a +5 boost to all their stats, as well as increased hearing, smelling, ect, depending on their animal. |
