Arriving Somewhere but not Here
by Porcupine Treedescription:;
Ophelia has brown hair, and hazel eyes. She has a willowy build, and moves with decided grace naturally. She has a very calm, amiable, and well-educated disposition which is quite apparent when one speaks to her. She is slow to emotion, not because hers is muted but because she has a somewhat "proper," or reserved, air. Her eyes are intense, as she is constantly observing her surroundings. She usually wears comfortable clothing: jeans, a t-shirt, and van slip-ons, and carries a camera with her everywhere she goes.

background:;
Ophelia was born in Belfast to an Irish mother, and an American father, though they moved to New York a few years after her birth. Her father was a well-known physicist, and her mother a musician. Ophelia learned a lot of her father's work, and while she was interested in the philosophical points of it never showed much interest in the mathmatics. Her mother enrolled her in music at an early age, beginning with piano and vocals. Ophelia took to music like a natural, however, she could never quite get along with her eccentric fellow classmates and became alienated. Her mother put her in private lessons, then, but it was when her father bought her a digital slr Cannon, that she really found her calling.
Ophelia is quiet, observant, and introspective. She has a knack for understanding other people, whether they wish to be understood or not. Because of her accute observation capabilities, Ophelia's mother used to joke that she was psychic. She found it easy to intimately understand a situation or other people with only a few moments of time to gather an impression.
Ophelia's parents both died in a car accident just outside New York City when she was 19. They were both well-to-do, and so she inhereted a decent sum of money both from their savings and from life insurance policies. She used the money to finish paying her college debt and then to travel the world.
