Tayva had never visited this town before, so she was reliant on Kyrian to lead the way to the shopping district. The winter weather didn't seem to bother her so much when she was with him, a godsend really. She had never really visited a small town before, the big city of Toronto being the one place that she had spent most of her life. This place reminded her of the few movies she had seen as a kid, fictional places she had always wanted to visit. The coziness of this place alone was enough to warm her up.
As they stopped in the square to reveal the small shops that encircled the area, the draconian broke away, if only for a moment to hurry forward toward one of the stores, which showcased a collection of toys. She smiled, peering through the glass at the display like a child, her breath visible in the chilled air. Of course the city had much more variety to provide, but the large chain stores never really seemed to take the care into their displays that these smaller stores took, creating dioramas and displays, which almost seemed to tell stories to those who viewed them.
"This place is beautiful..." Tayva said, both to the somewhat distant Kyrian and to herself, as she pulled herself away to return back to the elemental's side. She didn't want to stray too far away, especially as she was much less familiar with this setting than he was.

Kyrian laughed a little as Tayva ran straight to a toy-shop like a child, it was actually kind of cute to see such and innocent, eager, child-like side of her. Her smiled as she gazed into the window spoke to the elemental's heart, he wanted to see more of her like this. To see that smile that seemed to fill the whole world. And he knew that he felt the same way. Although he had been all over the world, being in a small, homely town like this was still breathtaking. It kind of reminded him of Gatlinburg, Tenessee, except slightly less modernized. A great place to retire at and live happily.
What kind of thoughts were those? Was he thinking about possibly settling down with this girl? No, he couldn't do that... He didn't even really know her. Well, that's what this outing was for... Kyrian laughed a little as a song came to his head and he softly sang a few bars, "Getting to know you. Getting to know everything about you."
Oh well, Tayva was heading back to his side now. He greeted her with a warm smile and looked over her shoulder at the toy shop, "Do you want to look around in there, or come back to it later?"

"We can always come back later. Don't want to spend all of our time in one spot after all." Tayva suggested, smiling still at Kyrian as she began to investigate the other storefronts that showed off their wares. Each seemed to do a good job at what they were trying to do too. Looking into a clothing store full of hand-knitted sweaters made Tayva feel a little more cozy, as if she were wearing one of those warm-looking sweaters. A bakery displaying an arrangement of sweets and breads made her feel hungry, and the aroma of fresh bread was enough to make her stomach growl. Though she remembered that Kyrian had offered to make them a meal, so she didn't want to spoil her appetite.
Then there was a jewelry shop, and glancing inside at all of the fancy rings made Tayva question what she was going to do with her life. Never before had she ever considered a relationship, her whole world having changed just under a year ago with the discovery of her heritage, and getting quickly swept away in the idea of exploring the world. But things had seemed to slow down a little since those days, making her wonder what she was going to do with herself. Sure Kyrian was a nice guy, but would he be someone she could see herself spending a lot more time with? Of course, she found no reason not to: even though they hadn't known one another for that long, he was a great guy. She just didn't want to make sure she would make a choice she would later regret. Tayva wanted more time to think about that. But for now, a fun afternoon out in the town was just as good.

The male laughed as he followed Tayva around, noticing her admire the work of these skillful artisans. It truly was amazing to see these artworks, as that was the only word capable of describing them, displayed proudly in the shops' windows. The feeling put into each individual piece made them seem like they had a life of their own, or rather that they carried a piece of their maker's life. There was nothing that could compare to this place.
And watching Tayva move around it with such joy just seemed to add to the beauty of the moment.
Kyrian stood and watched as Tayva stopped for a while and gazed into the window of a jeweler. As Kyrian walked up behind the female, he noticed that she was studying a ring display with a distance look as though the rings weren't all that she was seeing. The male didn't know what he was doing particularly, nor why he was doing it, as his arms reached out in order to wrap themselves about Tay's waist. The male wasn't sure what had compelled him to hug the girl from behind like that, but he looked at the display case and he rested his chin on her shoulder, "Do you want one?"

Tayva blinked, snapped out of her train of thought as Kyrian rested her head on her shoulder, having wrapped his arms around her fragile body. She almost jumped, before suddenly smiling. Personally she wasn't one who wore a lot of jewelry, especially since she spent a lot of time outside. Something so precious couldn't be worn when spending day after day in the wilderness, especially if she lost it. She could never forgive herself if she were to lose such a precious gift
With that, the girl shook her head. "Nah, I never really wear a lot of jeweler." Tayva admitted, turning her head slightly so that she could see his face right next to hers. "Plus I'd just get it dirty if I wore it." She felt strangely comfortable being in his presence, even with the fact that they hadn't even spent more than an hour together today. Perhaps she was just naturally comfortable near him. But that made no sense... did it?
"Why don't we keep looking, or get a bite to eat? That bakery does smell really good." the draconian suggested, the fresh scent of the baking bread starting to get to her head and stomach, especially with no proper meal all day. It hadn't bothered her before since she hadn't done much today, but the walk to town had really stimulated her appetite. She was sure Talos had probably found something to snack on while they were out, so it wouldn't hurt to get a nibble.
